Specifically, if you are a woman of color, ask for another ultrasound technician if you are assigned Elise. She had more concern about the origin of my last name than concern for answering my health related questions. I was also told by this technician that a reason for a procedure not being performed was due to it potentially costing me more money, yet she angrily told me she would do the procedure once I was nearly at the exit door. Again, no empathy, only brusk treatment that left me more stressed and even more fearful of what is going on with my body.

Watters performed my upper and lower hernia repair. I was told completely routine, you can walk up steps, just not lift over 5lb for the first few weeks. Pain was high after surgery. Waited the 3 weeks for the follow up, and explained to Mr Watters the pain, and how the mesh was pulling my hip in so it felt as if it was ripping it out. He scoffed and stated " I told her not to attach it so tight" that she should have placed it where he had told her to. I was taken aback because I was never told someone else would be doing the surgery. I was told he was doing it. Nevertheless, was sent for another MRI to inspect his damage, I was billed. Went back for the follow up, to discuss the findings. I was told there was a large "calcified growth protruding down into the leg. Making it seem to be a cancerous type issue. Refers me to a urologist, advised me himself to go outside of the Duke network "as they were not good". When I arrive a very curt Dr. asks why I am here, I assumed he would know. He says there is nothing there. I have been to several since, even referring me to a sports Dr. to no avail. We are now approaching the one year mark and the pain is unbearable. They prescribed nerve blockers to help but that is barely making a dent. Just the fact he assigned the nerve blockers alludes to the fact he knew it was nerve damage but offered no pain mitigation specialist referral. They continue to push from appt to appt, each of which is a month to longer away. And here we are. ZERO quality of life, can barely move and constant pain. NO concern FOR THE DAMAGE THEY HAVE WROUGHT. So again, not a Ken, never left a review, but do NOT under any circumstance allow this to happen to you. Live with the hernia, It wasn't a tenth of what I have now. The pain is now not only in the patch placement region, but up into the chest cavity and up the back into the shoulders and neck. I am in day two and already the changes are apparent. The operation went flawlessly and the new surgical center that Dr. Zenn uses is very modern, and very clean with excellent staff. I have zero pain with just Tylenol. Dr. Zenn spends an inordinate amount of time explaining various things to me as I am one who likes to fully understand the various procedures and what the exact process is. Dr. Zenn always ensures that I *get it*. Some patients like to know the process and the details. He provides them if you wish to have them. I feel Dr. Zenn possesses a special surgical and artistic talent and is most gifted, and extremely well educated. Furthermore, he is highly experienced. His interpersonal skills are outstanding and allows the patient to feel at ease. I interviewed many surgeons for this operation, and I definitely chose the right doctor. I personally thank you.

After paying over $2000 for minor cosmetic work, my face saw NO improvement and my lip became just a line of lip...it was almost all hidden. Their attitude is "oh well"...no offer to fix anything they had screwed up. Very unprofessional. First and very last time for Zenn...be aware your face and purse will look worse after having any sort of Botox or Jubiderm done.
