Apparently, I still do like buffets. It just has to be in a barn - in Mississippi! I've seen a lot about Berry's online and when I realized that it was less than 30 minutes from me, I just had to give it a try. This is seriously, the best buffet I've ever been to. Food: Crab cakes are amazing! Turnip greens, mac n cheese, fried okra, and bang bang shrimp, all were delish! Fried catfish was pretty ok. Could have been a little more crisp - and seasoned. There were so many choices. Saturday night is seafood night. They also had flounder Parmesean, seafood pasta, crawfish etouffee, stuffed crab, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, and crab legs. There was also steak and chicken tenders on the bar. Steak was good. There were quite a few salads to choose from and dessert as well. Note: You can order from the menu if you don't want the buffet. Service: Good - no issues. Price: About $40 per person for the standard dinner buffet. More if you add the unlimited crab leg option. Atmosphere: Country style buffet. Very southern themed. Waitresses are in overalls, religious decor, and worship music playing over the speaker and on the tvs. I actually appreciated the Maverick City playlist today. It was packed so if you go in the weekend for dinner, be prepared for a wait. There's a lady with a jewelry stand near the waiting area. Parking: If you can't find a spot in the main lot there's an additional parking lot behind the building. Overall: I really enjoyed it - particularly the crab cakes.

We had a family reunion over the weekend and this place was next to the hotel where we were lodging. The first ting you see is a HUGE CROSS and a BIG RED BARN that says Berry's! I'm not sure if the cross has to do with Berry's or not. I'm just noting a landmark. You needs to be very hungry when you go. You will shortchange yourself if you eat only one late of food. There are "plate" options if you choose instead of the buffet. The food was good. Especially the fried catfish! They did have other variations of catfish but I did not try them. I do not eat crab legs so I cannot comment on them. They do charge extra if you want them as part of the buffet though. The vegetables were tasty. Even though the greens looked canned, they were very southern with the flavor. As we say "they hooked them up!" The only thing that threw me for a loop was the atmosphere! It's called Berry's as in Mayberry from the Andy Griffith show!! The cups and plates were tin that you would see from cowboy shows! And the walls were littered with scenes from the show EVERYWHERE ON EVERY WALL. There is even a nativity type of the characters fishing! The place was packed with all kinds of people though. Even with the tin plate and cup, I would eat there again. However, I doubt that I'm ever in that area again!

Stopped for a Friday dinner time seafood fix while headed to Florida. Adult seafood buffet without the crab leg upgrade, a drink, taxes and tip is $36.95. The standouts for me included the fried shrimp, chicken, and catfish. The bang bang shrimp was very tasty. Also enjoyed the frog legs and okra. The Christian theming is heavy handed, but you know that going in after being greeted at the door by The 10 Commandments.

The food was delicious. The Service was out of this world. The ambiance was a sight to see.

Food was very good people working they were very nice. I highly recommend this place The price is right and the food is great and the people are wonderful.

Service was great, food was alright, $80 without tipping the waitress for 3 people to have lunch is a little pricey for the food quality. HUGE drink glasses and our waitress offered us Togo drinks!

They apparently have multiple locations, and their emphasis is on fried catfish and shrimp. This location, subtitled "Express" has a limited menu of the seafood, fries, hushpuppies. Mississippi raised fish is their boast, and they have perfected the breading and cooking method, and my order was done in a jiffy. Seating is all outdoors, picnic tables under a shelter, the tables topped with the usual condiments and rolls of paper towels. This would be the first of many catfish meals I would have on this trip. Growing up in Minnesota, it wasn't something that was served to people; more often is was chunked to use for bait for walleye or northern pike. But I'm glad I got introduced to it somewhere down the line. When I travel in the South, I can't get enough of it. Cajun? Creole? No matter. Delicious.

It is a cute little "shack", where you can order at the window and eat at their picnic tables or you can take it to go. I did not see any indoor dining. The menu was primarily fried foods with Catfish, shrimp, oysters, French fries, hush puppies, fried pickles, fried jalapeños, and coleslaw. The young lady who took our order was helpful when we were struggling to decide. She gave us our drinks and we went to sit at the picnic tables. We weren't seated long before another lady came out with our food, offered to refill our drinks and bring us any other condiments we might want. My husband and I shared a catfish plate, a seafood platter with oysters & shrimp, and some fried pickles. We also had the coleslaw and turnip greens as sides. Everything was excellent and plentiful. We had enough leftover to feed another person. Next time I visit I want to try the fried jalapeño's, and I will probably order the catfish plate again.

Unfortunately, the hostess indicated that the restaurant doesn't allow dine-in guests one hour before closing. I proceeded to go with the takeout option instead. At this restaurant, daily specials are offered. Since I came on a Thursday, I opted for the seafood boil deal that came with 1 lb of snow crab legs, 1/2 lb of shrimp, corn, and red potatoes. I customized the flavor as the "Mighty Special" - Cajun, Lemon Pepper and Garlic Butter all combined. For the spicy level, I chose "Hot." The total was only $36.99! This was such a steal, especially since the seafood boil bag was generous. When trying it, it was honestly so flavorful and palatable. The sauce literally made the crab legs, shrimp, corn, and potatoes beyond tasty. Mighty Crab serves satisfying seafood boils with mouthwatering bold flavors! I called in my order of two bowls of steamed white rice, a half a pound of sausage, and 3 corn on the Cobb. The corn on the Cobb is currently advertised at $3.00 on the website. However the agent informed me that the price has changed and it was now $3.50 and she said this was an incredible amount of anger and attitude. I informed her that the restaurant was suppose to sell at the advertised price but that I would speak to someone about it later and as soon as I said that it sounded like she slammed down the phone. I heard nothing. I ended up calling back and she answered and before I could say anything she said someone else 'would deal with me'. When the other woman came to the phone I started to give my order and I mentioned the advertised price showed $3.00 and she cut me off and said 'no one would be honoring the price on the website'. As I was speaking to her the other female was in the background yelling and insulting me. I could hear her very well. I mentioned to the woman that I could hear her and she cut me off again and told me in so many words she 'didnt have time to address that and for me to continue with the order". I finished my order and she said one of the part owners was inside the restaurant but that the owners 'never spoke with customers' and "he's not going to discount anything for you'. WOW... Talk about being incredibly rude. I like the food here but the way they handled the price being different on the website was just to ignore it and go off on the customer who brought it to their attention.

We were craving some fried catfish and wanted to go somewhere that we haven't been so Shivers it is! Since they're only open 4 days a week, it is always packed so we recommend reserving a table. When we got there at 715pm, although it was very busy, we were quickly seated. As we sat down, our server Tess brought over greens, hush puppies, and coleslaw, this comes with every meal. We both ordered the AYCE (All you can eat) catfish mix. Greens were nicely seasoned, I love that the slaw was slightly sweet with sweet minced pickles in it, SO GOOD! I also like my hush puppies kinda sweet too, these were also very delicious and piping hot. The catfish mixed came out with one whole catfish and several strips which we much rather would prefer. Whole catfish once sits for a min can get soggy, so we like to only order one at a time, this was perfect! Fish was nicely seasoned, fried hard, flaky, and absolutely delish! I was doing my food dance haha. Everything was great! I loved the slaw and hush puppies so much that I ate my weight in that and was only able to do one plate of catfish, so I'll probably just get a catfish platter next time. Tess was amazing and very attentive! 5/5! Included a menu tor yall.
