Our group was headed home from North Carolina to Texas. We had stayed in Forest, MS on the way out with terrible results at a Holiday Inn Express. We started talking about where to stay over breakfast that morning and picked Vicksburg, MS. We noticed Riverwalk Casino and with a decent rate of around $100 it was a perfect fit. Check in took longer that we were used to as a "regular" was complaining about his regular high roller room not being available...yawn. Once settled in we hit the floor. This is my second casino experience; Riverwalk isn't fancy like the Beau Rivage on the Coast. Mostly penny slots and games which was fine by me. I didn't want to loose a ton; just have a little fun for the evening. I gave the GF $30 and off she went! We jumped around a bit; having luck here and there. When the drink dude finally came around I tipped big with instructions to keep 'em coming! That worked pretty well for the evening. GF comes back broke an hour or so later. I left her $20 ahead! Buddy and I ended up over at the video poker table actually near the drink station so we were covered on drinks from 20ft away. We finally called it a night and headed to our clean rooms. Woke up refreshed right next to the mighty Mississippi River. Couple of things to point on to future visitors. YES, you can smoke in the casino so there's gonna be a smoke smell. If your offended by that smell stay away; smokers like me enjoying a rare indoor smoking experience in a public building. There is NO SMOKING in the hotel tower itself so there's that. One star knocked off because this is the only hotel in modern times where there wasn't a mini fridge in the room. We use them to keep my GF's insulin cool while traveling. read more

From the leaking A/C that left the carpet by the window soaked, to the safe that wouldn't work, to the lack of coffee or any other amenities that are offered in any other hotel in the morning, to the staff who seemed uninterested in any customer service, to the snack shop that was never open, to the watered down alcoholic beverages for those people gambling, with only one server to cover the entire casino, to the touch screen gambling systems that had nasty, sticky screens that appeared to have never been cleaned and froze up when attempting to use, I would never recommend this hotel/casino to anyone. All in all, a terrible experience and a lesson learned to pass this establishment and stay and gamble or stay in the hotel elsewhere. If I could rate this place no stars, I would. read more

Horrible place to stay for your gaming experience. While the room was nice, clea, comfortable(although there was a leak in a window or AC condensor unit which kept the far wall carpet very damp) and the restaurant food was good.....the casino is a disaster. To begin, at the bar the gaming machines with touschscreen often froze up because the screens were filthy and sticky. those screens had not been cleaned or recalibrated in dys or weeks. The bar personnel would not deliver a legal shot of liquor in the drinks. The casino was dark with some video games also having problems and freezing up. There were plenty of employees standing around but only one drink server for the entire casino. I requested assistance with a game and it took forever for someone to appear, if they did at all. In the morning there was no where to get any coffee since the restaurant, snack bar, and casino were all closed until 9am. The place needs new management who will pay attention to maintenance. For now...go to a different place in Vicksburg. read more

The good: the hotel was an affordable price,, hotel rooms were fairly updated ,the casino employees are very friendly and helpful A+ , free drinks if you are gambling with a bar area to play poker,slots were loose. Needs improvement areas: the room we stayed in had an unusual smell like a bad air freshener, but , it didn't smell like smoke since they are all non smoking rooms. Also, they need new room entrance doors ; they look a little worn .The casino could use better or more interesting slots. Overall, if you are passing through and need a place to stay that's decent although not fancy I recommend going here. Enjoyed our time and won some money and was able to get a little rest for our travel to the west! read more

Traveled from Houston TX to Tallulah LA, for a family members funeral and this was the closest 3 star hotel in the area. I pre booked the hotel prior to arriving, the reviews stated there was a hotel entrance and a casino entrance. Upon arrival I was very disappointed to find that the entrances are not quite separate, both lead past the casino which allows smoking. Needless to say that there was no way to avoid the smoke filled atmosphere. I immediately informed the desk clerk I would not be staying because of the misinformation regarding the separate entrances and that my allergies could not tolerate the smoke in the air. She said she couldn't do the refund, but her supervisor will be in the office the next day 6/19/25. I went back the next day to inquire about the refund for my 4 day reservation. The clerk said that she had a note from the supervisor stating that the refund had been issued except for 1 day because of their cancelation policy. Again I explained that I prebooked the hotel based on the misinformation on their website and because of health reasons I couldn't stay there. The request for the full refund fell on deaf ears, my only option will be to report them to the BBB and let others know about the misinformation they present on their website! CONS: Dismall customer service and the front desk, there is no way to avoid a smoke filled atmosphere, they try to mask it, but it's prevalent. There are no rooms in this hotel that actually overlook the Mississippi River this too is misleading the rooms are also dismal and dated, it's a 2 star hotel in a smoke filled casino. DO NOT COME HERE!! 28 year old single woman traveling aloe gotg through Vicksburg. I decided to pop into a casino while I'm here and Riverwalk Casino was an absolutely horrible experience. First off it's the smallest, most pitiful little casino I've ever laid eyes on. I met an older couple who was spending the night there for a few nights (idk why they would do that to themselves) and they said that their bed was one of the worst they have ever slept on and on top of that they specifically requested a room with a river view but we stuck in a corner room facing the opposite direction. While playing blackjack, I noticed the pit boss would not stop staring at me. Not like cute staring, but very creepy and very obvious staring. It made me so uncomfortable that I had to leave. I was like literally beginning to fear for my life. Dealer was a younger male, white, probably mid-late twenties. PS. THE RUMORS ARE TRUE!! THEY PLACE LIMITS ON YOUR BETS IF YOU START TO WIN!! Absolute worst casino in Vicksburg. I've lived here all my life, I went to school and grew up here. I am now an adult and just recently started getting into blackjack. In the beginning, my losses were beginning to mount so I stopped for a while until today. I went to Riverwalk casino and to my surprise was able to win a little bit of money. I went back tonight and the same pit boss was there. After getting up only $400 dollars one of the managers pulled me aside and told me that I was a "skilled player" and that my bets will be limited to $10. I'm no where near a skilled player. I'm not even an experienced player. That pit boss saw me winning money and then ran and told on his boss like a little pouting child. If you are in Vicksburg and want to hit the casinos, avoid riverwalk at all costs. It's tiny, low quality, cheap, and just boring all around. Not to mention they put limits on you if you even begin to start winning. Avoid that place like the plague. It was nice to be told I was good at blackjack. Very friendly hotel staff. The lobby and gaming area was very smoky and the casino are is small as well as cheap towels. Other than that it was great, nice clean hotel room and comfortable firm bed. The part that made me write this review is that when we checked out we forgot to shut the door completely and they called me to make sure I was safe and ok because the door was open. Great checkin process. Very smoky lobby. If you are not a smoker....stay away. The River view was nice. Hotel not that cleaned. Carpet smelled sour. Hamburger and French fries were good from the cafe onsite. Ice machine on fifth floor didn't work. Highly not recommended. When a person pays for a 119.00 Hotel room with a view it should not be looking at the side of a building wall. Very unprofessional staff. This place was horrible. We live in Shreveport, and I didn't think overly highly of the casinos there, but compared to this place they are amazing! They had 2 black jack tables, and a craps table that were full. It was the tiniest casino I've ever been in. The casino staff that walks around and polices your mask wearing told me and my husband to pull our masks up because mine had slipped slightly below my nose, and my husband was literally in the middle of vaping, meanwhile all around us were other people with their masks down smoking, drinking, etc and they didn't get a word said to them. It was dark, and dingy. The video poker bar was closed down, and we hadn't seen a waitress so the only beer we got the whole time we were there we had to pay $4 each for. The hotel wasn't much better. We upgraded to the deluxe, but there was nothing deluxe about it. The bathtub was tiny. The room was small. And to top it all off we literally had housekeeping open the door and walk into the room at 9:30 in the morning while we were still laying in bed. She just came right in then apologized because she "thought we had left". Are you kidding me?! Absolutely ridiculous!! I will never ever come here again. Went and had the $10 Chicken Buffet. While I didn't have any fried chicken, the sides and chicken and dumplings were excellent, as were the desserts. Great value for the price! While the casino is small and there aren't many denominations of machines available, the casino does have the largest selection of Ainsworth machines I have seen. Had a pretty good night on one of those machines! Drink service is lacking. There appeared to only be one waitress on the floor and only draft beer was available (I addition to cocktails). Overall, a great experience. Great for a simple night out. read more

Please save your money and do not come here for the buffet. I came here after work with several of my coworkers for dinner and it was a disappointment. We paid 13 dollars for the buffet and all they have in there was fried chicken and gumbo. The chicken was dry and tasted like left over from yesterday. My wife and i had food here last week before trying a little roulette action. She had a chicken caesar salad and it had the most chicken i've ever seen in a salad, great value. I had a Philly cheese steak and it .. was .. amazing!! Seriously the best one i have ever had. I'd go back to Vicksburg for this meal alone! The service was perfect however the restaurant was quiet, so i would expect nothing less. After we made our way to the roulette table. Cheapest roulette i've ever played, $2 minimum. That's crazy! Maybe that's normal in MS, i'm not a local so i wouldn't know. I know is waaaay cheaper than Vegas. We ended by having a drink at the bar. A drink which we weren't charged for. Small casino, nice location, but seems to attract kind of a scary-mean crowd. Arrived in the afternoon, day after July 4. Overly loud music. No hooks in ladies' room to hold handbags. Non-playing people draped over chairs, blocking two or three slots, so no one could play them. A plastic chair back broke open, when I tried to slide a chair out. One awful woman gave me a fierce look, when I merely sat down to play the slot next to hers. Another pig of a woman angrily and Rudely told my friend that a certain machine was 'hers' - even though she was not playing it and not in the seat at the time. This place is in sore need of a great deal of serious beefed up security. Also, no drink servers in site, anywhere. I have NO plans to come back here, ever again. read more

It was hard as a rock and creaked when you sat on it so I assumed it had coiled intersprings that were old. Pillows were awful. Dreaded going to bed because trying to sleep was so uncomfortable. On today, I visited Riverwalk's Magnolia Hill Buffet for the seafood dinner. They now offer oyster bienville and oyster rockefellers. It was $27.99. The fried oysters were cold. Crab legs were tasty. The service was okay. Beautiful views of the mighty Mississippi. From the past years the casino buffets lining the Mississippi River have fallen off a little on the quality. Next time I would like to visit the gulf coast or Tunica Resorts. There was a moderate wait to get in. For the region, I would say this buffet quantity of items is on par. About 35 hot items in addition to a small salad station with medium sized peel and eat shrimp and a small carvery and dessert station with mostly only pies and cookies. read more

The Casino worker were just plan rude to people especially the elderly so sad. The rooms are fine but bring your own towels (unless you need full body exfoliation) and pillows (unless you like them lumpy). The food... Skip... Go to Ameristar down the road and eat... Or anywhere else. The staff... Crap shoot if you get friendly service. The casino is small but there weren't many people here so it wasn't a problem getting on a table or machine. Hey... I was traveling between Birmingham Alabama going to Texas. I stopped here to spend the night. I was in a handicapped room due to my 2 recent back surgeries and neck surgery. They charged a fortune for the room and also charged a $100 deposit. I am a world-renowned keynote Author and Speaker of Hopeknowsyourname.com Ministries. I travel to different speaking events all over the world. Every hotel I have ever stayed in has had bath towels in the bathroom. I jumped in the shower not thinking a thing about it, assuming when I got out there would be a bath towel. When I got out of the shower I looked everywhere and there were no towels. I dried off with the tiny towel that goes in the floor that was hanging over the bathtub. Once I got dressed there were 2 ladies with housekeeping standing outside my door, fixing to clean my room. I said, "Excuse me, I just wanted to let you know that when I got out of the shower there were no bath towels for me to dry off with." She said, "Oh I am so sorry, they must have forgotten to put towels in this room." I went to check out and also told the front desk that there were no towels in my room for me to dry off with, she said she would let housekeeping know and I left. 2 hours later I get a call from the front desk saying they had pulled camera footage from that day and saw a maid put towels in that room at 1:15 P.M. I said "Maam, I did not check in to the hotel until 11:00 P.M. Last night and left at 11:30 this morning. I told her if that was the case, send me the footage from 1:15 in the afternoon through 11:00 P.M. when I checked in last night. I gave her my email and of course, I never received any such footage. They need to look at the footage of me standing in the hall this morning talking to not one but two housekeepers. The lady I was talking to then says to me "are you sure you did not use them and put them outside of your door and someone took them?" I said "Maam, once again, there were no towels in my room period! She said she would have a supervisor call me back and I never heard back from anyone. I called back and the girl working the front desk her name was Tina hung up on me several times and then sent me to a recording to a lady named Linda. At this point, I was on the road crying and so upset because the last time I had called back, they told me I had forfeited my $100 due to the towels not being in the room. I pulled over, called them back the lady heard me crying. I told them I would drive 2 hours back to the hotel and so could search my car and my luggage. They told me there would be no reason to do that because they could not search my luggage anyway. I was crying so bad because it had upset me so bad because they accused me of stealing their towels. I called my husband and explained the situation to him and he to called and spoke to Tina and she hung up on him also 3 times. She then transferred him to a man named Dennis, he told him he would have to call someone named James Abdul in the morning. ( i am assuming there is no one that works there by that name) we will see. Why in the world would I tell the maid outside the door and the front desk there were no towels in my room if I had stolen them? This has caused me so much emotional trauma, it is not even funny. They charged me the $100 and have taken it out of my checking account, causing other bills to bounce. I am waiting to hear from this supervisor named Linda in the morning. The trauma this one night has caused me has been unreal. Would recommend if you don't mind dirty rooms, blood stained sheets, and the smell of cigarettes hitting you like a rampaging elephant as soon as you walk through the door. The staff was also for the most part not very friendly with a couple of exceptions. Overall a HORRIBLE experience. read more

Playing at the only craps table they have for about 40 minutes, never saw a cocktail waitress. Finally had to tell the table I was going to step away from table so I could go buy a beer. At which point they ordered me one. Which was nice of them, but still never saw a waitress. About an hour or so later I saw what seem to be the only cocktail waitress working this whole place. I'm sorry but if I'm playing a minimum of $5 dollars a roll the least you can do is have enough waitresses working to provide decent service. Buffet not really worth the price. Hotel rooms are worthy. Table games are pretty good but often times then not you have the "fake players" hang around the Craps table not really betting but waiting for the next round of beer ( so if you want to play get there early). Employees should tell people not playing to step aside to make room for people who do want to play. Sports betting at the Kiosk - you better get there before 9:00am to beat the "$2.00 buck bandits" these are the guys/girls who pull up a chair to the kiosk and sit down for 30-45 minutes like its a slot machine. They have stacks of tickets in their hands the length of grocery receipts- (all possible combinations) 2 dollars each lol. Meanwhile you have already picked your teams the night before and are trying to place a bet in the hundreds. Personally, they should raise the limit to $5.00 per ticket and put a limit on how long you can stay at a Kiosk. Many times I have driven down seen ALL machines occupied and just u-turned right back out.. These guys are sitting at the kiosk long enough to drink their losings up in beer. No lie; 30 minutes at a kiosk 4-6 rounds of beer and 10 tickets at $2 bucks each ... that's $20 bucks read more

The place is owned by Churchill Downs and is a pretty decent small casino. Good, well maintained machines, decent player club. Buffet a little sketchy as far as food, but very clean and pleasant. Good, helpful and friendly employees. Hotel is probably the best value in town. read more

It's small and unassuming. But they have poker and stuff along with slots. I spent around $15 on the 25 cent machines and managed to make out with around $60 in the end. Not bad. The interior is kind of dark and pretty budget looking. read more
