We went to the Brandon Lake concert that was held at the Wolstein Center. We had floor seats. We had to take the stairs to get down there. The problem is that there is no bathroom on the floor level. Otherwise, the center is huge and had great lighting. read more

I was at the Wolstein Center for AEW wrestling (yes I know that is "wrestling" twice). Cudos to the Wolstein Center, the event was great, admission was handled smoothly and on time, the concourse was clean and well staffed, the auditorium looked great with the AEW set and the national cable broadcast looked great. About the only quibble I had was that the sound was a bit muddy from time to time so that it was hard to hear what was being said, of course some of that was a very excited and noisy crowd in attendance. The Wolstein Center is a great size for events, big enough to get a good sized crowd while still being compact enough that all of the seats are pretty close. The Wolstein Center is not flashy, but it has held up well and is a really good venue for events. While there is no dedicated parking there are plenty of lots and street parking nearby. Of course any venue like this depends on what event you are going to, if there is something that you want to see at the Wolstein Center go for it. read more

I don't understand why they have you pay online for parking when you get to gate they claim it's not valid how? It was valid when I was charged? Then I looked at ticket wtf would I pay for parking ticket 2 miles from center? I'm not from area so how would I know the exact location? Smh!!!! No air conditioning??? it was so incredibly hot at the Brandon Lake concert. VERY long lines to get in through security. Very very long lines for restrooms Probably the worst venue I've ever been to and I've been to venues in Pittsburgh Houston Cleveland Columbus Dallas Orlando. Oh and they ran out of water bottles - when they don't have air-conditioning. For the price of tickets, I feel we should be out a refund. Not all of it back but it was ridiculous to be that miserable after paying good money for a nice night out. read more

This has got to be the most annoying process ever. I've been trying to buy tickets as an anniversary gift for 2 days. These idiots want you to buy there tickets but every time there is an error that comes up when you try to finalize the transaction. They must have the phone off the hook because no matter what time of day you call the line is busy. I even tried at 3 in the morning just to see, and of course the line is busy which means that they intentionally aren't taking any phone calls. This is so effing irritating. In the mean time I'm just watching the ticket prices go higher and there is nothing I can do! read more

Great place to watch a concert. Had no issues getting to the venue, its conveniently located downtown where I was staying. There was plenty of security and police present. The venue itself is rather large but they can arrange the stage closer or farther away depending on the size of the anticipated attendance. The only complaint that I have is they stopped selling alcohol at 9:30. Also, the staff at the alchohol stations were operating very slowly. The drink pours were measured which is to be expected but I would expect this to speed things up not slow it down. Overall, we had a good time and I would see a show there again. read more

Being handicapped I am always stressed about the walk into a venue, seating comfortability etc. Well I was so pleasantly surprised! The parking garage was across on a narrow street, handicap parking readily available and then a short, no step walk into the venue. Our handicapped seats were just an opening away from the entrance. We had padded folding seats, not the stiff stadium seats, we were able to move about without disturbing anyone and still had the experience of the show from the top row of the first section. We had our 4yo great niece with us who was able to go between all of us. It was a brilliant experience and will look for future shows appearing here. Thank you for having this Cirque de Soleil show. We are excited for what's next! Food and potty right outside our opening, so convenient! read more

I won't buy tickets to a concert at this venue ever again. It was that bad. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. We parked in the garage next to the venue. Went into Gate A a few minutes later and had our tickets scanned. We started to make our way to our section. It was the last section to the left of the stage that was roped off in the upper deck area. Section 203. Section 202 was roped off. That's fine. But they blocked off the stairs to section 203. They made us go up into section 204. And everyone in our section sitting close to section 202 had walk through the entire row to get out. They wouldn't let you out between section 203 and 202. In a row with 15 people and sitting in seat 5 meant I had to get up to let the 10 people to the right of me every time they wanted in or out. Ridiculous. I went to the concert with my wife and 2 daughters. They wanted me to get them a bottle of water. When the opening act finished I went to the restroom. Half the stalls didn't have toilet paper and there was water all over the floors. I decided I would not use the bathroom until I got home. They were disgusting. I made my way to a line to get some water. While I waited in line the next act started. Because I waited in line 25+ minutes for water I missed half of the next act. The workers were beyond slow. I took a picture of the line I was in. I was in a line to the right of the picture. The line to the left was a alcohol line and you can't even make out where it ends. Everyone in line was complaining about how slow they were. They poured the bottles of water in cups. That's fine. Until someone knocked over one the cups of water because we had to get up for everyone in the row to come and go. And my oldest daughter had her coat soaked with water. Which we found out on our way out. If they had cup holders that probably could have been avoided. I gave my daughter my coat and I froze on my way out. I will never go to a concert at this venue ever again. read more

One of the worse venue experiences we have ever had. Please be aware if you need to purchase ADA seats! We purchased seats for an event for our father as a gift, however he needs the ADA accessible seats since he is physically disabled. We bought the ADA seat along with 2 companion seats. We were seats 1-3 in the ADA section. We have done this at multiple arenas and never had an issue until coming to the Wolstein Center. When going to our seats the "ushers" tried to make us move seats rather than properly seating us in the companion seats. They even were asking other patrons to give up their seats for us in normal lowered seating sections! They did not even check the tickets of other people in the ADA section. This turned into an almost 30 minute ordeal of going back and forth with the ushers who tried telling us we did not purchase ADA seats even thought the tickets said so. They tried saying row P is not ADA seating. So finally we went to guest services. The gentlemen who helped us there were both very polite. Immediately he said those are the correct tickets for ADA seating. He called a supervisor who was able to properly seat us. That's why I give 2 stars instead of 1. But this situation could have been avoided if the ushers or workers properly knew how to do their job. They then just stood around behind us the entire show leaning into our section. There was absolutely no seat control or monitoring. Terrible customer service from those workers. We will not be returning to this venue because it was such a hassle to be seated and was completely unfair since we purchased actually ADA seats. We did not pay to go and be belittled by workers or told we can not sit with our father. read more

We have seen Jim Gaffigan several times and his shows are a complete blast. However, the Wolstein Center was disappointing as a venue. We were told to arrive an hour before the show to help with traffic and lines. As you see from the photos the line was ridiculous. Not to mention it was only 20 degrees out and really windy. We were all froze by the time we got inside. For some reason they only opened 2 doors. The lines to get drinks were so long we finally gave up because the show was starting. To top things off we parked in the parking garage. The garage was full so people were pulling out due to limited number of parking spaces. It seemed they had issues with tickets and the gates that night. You must bring cash to get in. Several cars ahead apparently did not get the email or did not read it. When we left the show they let cars out by deck. We were on the top and had to wait 35 minutes until we started to move. A little frustrating. read more

We saw Jim Gaffigan's Noble Ape tour Friday night (HE IS HYSTERICAL!) at the Wolstein Center. As much as we loved Jim's show (he had us roaring with laughter to the point of tears!), this venue left much to be desired. Firstly, the entry into the venue left hundreds of us waiting outside until almost 20 minutes after the listed start time of the show. Their ticket processing was incredibly slow, and it was quite understaffed. Once we got inside, my husband stopped at the first concession stand to buy a beer: sold out. But they told us a new keg would be coming soon, so we waited with many other people. The more people lined up waiting for the keg, we heard stories of how the entire venue was sold out of beer already, and everyone was waiting for the guy to arrive with the keg. I'm glad I was drinking water! Eventually the keg did arrive, but we missed almost all of the opening act by this time (now 50 minutes after the stated start time). When we found our section, the complete absence of stair lighting and aisle marking made it extremely difficult to find our seats. We hope Jim returns to Cleveland soon, but not at the Wolstein Center -- unless they address these issues. Hot pockets... read more

We had tickets to see Jim Gaffigan, the show was suppose to start at 8 and around 8:30 the opening act came out. The line to get in the building was crazy long, we waited over 30 mins just to get the building. Also they only had a few booths to get drinks, so the lines for those were crazy. Overall this place wasn't great there was a huge issue in section of people not sitting in their assigned seats. No one was checking tickets to make sure you're in the right area. They could of had a few more people working this event. read more

I have been to a lot of events in many cities across the United States and this venue is one of the poorer facilities I have been too, almost exclusively because of experience. The entry into the venue left hundreds waiting out in the cold until after the show started due to excessive security scanning, an understaffed crew and slow ticket processing. Once inside the poor stair lighting and aisle marking made it very difficult to find our seats. We missed 50% of the show we came to see despite arriving 30 minutes prior to show time. Will not go back here for anything. read more

Went to my first CSU basketball game at the Wolstein Center last night and had an amazing time! I'm pretty apathetic about sports, but there was so much going on between the dance team, mascot, pep band, and random contests during the time outs that I didn't completely lose interest in the game. Tickets range from $10 to $15, and my $15 ticket got me 6 rows away from the court. Another nice perk for CSU games is this thing they have called Hoopy Hour. For two hours before the game starts, draft beer is $2 and they offer a selection of $2 food - things like popcorn, pretzels, etc. Stuff you'd generally pay a lot more for at any other sporting venue! We happened to luck out and were given 3 free drinks tickets (each!) by one of the sponsors. Not sure how many people got those tickets, but it seemed like no one had to pay for beer! Overall, this was a great way to spend an evening - food, fun, supporting my alma mater, and a winning team? Score! read more

A group of us went here for a comedy show with Mike Epps, Eddie Griffin, Cedric the Entertainer, DL Hughley, George Lopez, & Charlie Murphy (Black & Brown Comedy Get Down), which was simply hilarious! Traffic coming into the venue was a crawl so definitely give yourself extra time to park. The venue itself is a nice size that seats a lot but it's small enough that almost every seat has a good view. Seats are comfy, lots of restrooms, and halls are large so clearing out goes quickly. Overall, a pretty good venue to see a show. read more

Cleveland State is my soon-to-be alma mater and even though I have been going here for the last two years I had never been to a basketball game. I was lucky to get some tickets from a friend for the men's basketball games on both Thursday and Saturday. I had a blast. I actually had more fun at these games then at a Cavs games. The atmosphere was exciting and family friendly. I quickly became friends with everyone seated around me and almost everyone was a relative or had a connection to one of the players and were encouraging them the whole game. It was a blast talking to everyone. The pep band was great and the cheerleaders and dance team helped rile up the crowd. The concession stand had limited options but the prices were cheaper than most. My friend said her soft pretzel was one of the worst she's ever had though. I liked my chicago dog but the "homemade chips" that came with it were pretty bad. They sell beer. That's a plus. Saturday's game vs. Butler was the first sold out game in CSU history. Even though we lost it was great to see such a big crowd coming to cheer the men's team on. I definitely will come to more games in the future for some cheap fun! read more

Great and inexpensive venue for college basketball. If Clevelanders ever stop brainlessly worshipping at the Ohio State altar and notice our very own D-1 team, it might get a bit crowded. Until then, however, you can enjoy easy access, comfy seats and a quality Viking team all to yourself. Definite bonus points for serving beer, which is a rarity at college games. read more

I LOVE it here! You can save at least $100 buying "nose bleed" tickets for a show but because the Wolstein is much smaller than the Q, any seat is a good seat!!! And if the show does not sell out you can usually upgrade your "nose bleed" ticket for a better section ticket for free! read more

Visited for a Lumineers concert and was so impressed! The food selection was better than most concert halls, let alone college venues. The bathrooms were clean and the seating was comfortable. The only complaint I would have is that we were freezing. The heating system could use some help! read more

I recently participated in an event at the Wolstein Center and have to say I was a little underwhelmed. The Wolstein Center was the setting for the 2nd Annual Jumpstart NEO Entrepreneurs Conference and the facilities were definitely lacking. Crappy bathrooms with no privacy and that lingering "gym" smell did not make for a great experience, Maybe I'm being picky with the gym smell but it was god awful. Hope to not have to go back anytime soon. read more

The place was nice for the Robotics Competition that was by FIRST. The food was overpriced, they had a bathroom big enough for my handicap mom to use with her scooter, staff was nice and when we were about to leave, we got a citation because it was a PAID handicap spot. Have to pay $20 for the day. Did not think we had to pay for the spot, but I guess we had to, we did not see that there was a sign telling us.
