Bertha is the best aesthetician in Henderson/ Vegas she is very thorough! She is amazing!

I've had quite a few facials in the past but Bertha did the most amazing job. To start, I have acne prone skin, or so I thought. During my visit, Bertha told me the bumps and acne were actually being caused by waxing/shaving my face at home. This was causing ingrown hairs to form on my face, hence the bumps that would not go away no matter the products I used. She educated me thoroughly about my skin, which I appreciated so much. With just one visit, I understood the cause of my breakouts and what I could do to prevent them. Other estheticians I've went to recommended I come back every 2-3 weeks. But Bertha did such an amazing job with the extractions the first visit, she recommended I wait and see how my skin heals before scheduling again. This made me feel she really cared about my skin and was not just trying to keep me coming back. It was the most thorough extraction process I've had, as she went through each pore. After my visit, my skin was visibly smoother and supple. Today, my skin feels 100x less congested. I will definitely continue to visit Bertha. She is very sweet, knowledgeable and thorough. The spa room is very cozy and easy to relax in. The booking process was very seamless, I just sent the business a text and she got back to me within the hour to schedule for the following day. Love Bertha! She took care of my skin. I have sensitive skin so I scar easily. I haven't had a facial in a couple years. She was able to take me same day since I had a few pimples to pop due to the weather change. She got out my blackheads all over my nose, fixed any bumps that were underneath the skin and properly squeezed out my pimples so they don't scar. I felt a glow for days after! I did sweat heavily from working out a few days after which made one of the open pores clog up but she was able to meet me after 7pm and take care of it for me. I am so grateful she is flexible! I've been to a PLETHORA of places for Brazilians (see my past reviews), I always am on the hunt to find great ones. All of them have been pretty great, except for one at European Wax Center on Eastern. After having excruciatingly bad experience there (see the review, it was atrocious) I came to Bertha. I had in-growns galore and it looked like a mess thanks to Delilah at EWC, and Bertha noticed right off the bat all the things she did wrong. So I definitely knew I wasn't going crazy about how bad the wax was, and I was finally in good hands. First off, Bertha is absolutely lovely. She's friendly, warm, welcoming, and funny. When I got there she was running behind and informed me of it and I wasn't in a rush so I was fine waiting and when it was my turn I saw why. She took her time with me and ran a little late for the appointment after mine, but she gives her clients extra time if needed to get the job done right, and I love that she does. Unlike most waxing places who do a 15, 20, or 30 minute ON THE DOT wax that is completely rushed and done poorly. If you've got a brazilian somewhere else I'm sure you're familiar with that--they try and get as many clients through in a day as it's more about the quantity over quality. I never heard of a seaweed wax before, and my oh my I'm glad I know now. It is HEAVENLY! I was so worried that getting a wax after my terrible one was going to be immensely painful because the in-growns hurt and were sore and tender. But no, the wax was perfectly pain-free (of course you get the minor 5-seconds of pain but it passes). Seaweed wax is so soft and comforting, I refuse to go near hard wax or soft wax that isn't made of seaweed ever, ever again! The process went flawlessly smooth, she completely took her time, put baby oil and powder on me afterwards (which made it feel lovely and fresh down there!), and my in-growns from my monstrous previous wax were disappearing within that week and gone after a couple. After trying out MANY places here in Las Vegas and Henderson (and even other cities!), I refuse to see anyone but her. I can't wait to try all of her other specialties--you're incredible, Bertha!! This is a male review of Bertha's Spa and my experience with getting a 'Manzilian' with a female companion. My girlfriend and I visited Berthas around New Years to get Brazilian waxes. This was our first time getting one for both of us- we were brave, but I must admit that my mind was filled with visions of myself holding onto my lady's hand whilst screaming in agony. To start, Bertha was very approachable as far as setting up an appointment went, as you may call OR text her to set something up. We agreed to meet her at her Spa's location during the day; she greeted us both warmly, and my lady friend went into the room to proceed with her wax. During this time, I waited outside in the hall. Berthas is located in a great location (btw), which is pretty much a one-stop-shop for all your beauty needs. It's a very nice touch to be able to get your hair cut, nails did, and your wax in the same building. To top it off, Bertha is located right at the entrance (win)! My gf's wax took about 30-40 minutes and she came out smiling. I was up next, so Bertha beckoned me into the room with my lady following. You already know what happened next, but what you don't know is that I was laughing the entire time. Bertha does an extremely good and detailed wax. Even as a first timer, I could tell she had tons of experience in waxes/hair removal, and that one of her primary concerns is your comfort. She likes to take her time with her waxing, which = much less pain, a more thorough wax, and more time to talk to Bertha (she's a warm person with a great sense of humor).
