Even though I only needed a few engineered hardwood boards resurfaced or replaced and did not care that it would not match exactly I was told I had to redo the whole floor which spans three rooms. That's insanely excessive for oil stains that didn't penetrate the polyurethane layer! read more

Pretty frustrating experience quite honestly given how highly recommended they came. Bruno is a super nice guy and incredibly approachable and responsive. His team on the other hand was very sloppy. The floors themselves look wonderful but I have a few gripes with the project: - They got paint all over the trim and just assumed we would be painting (not something to assume when it's so terribly expensive); I was also told we should do white shoemold as that's the most common when in reality it's just easier for them than staining the shoemold itself...now the trim and shoemold doesn't even match - They broke a piece of furniture of mine unassembling it to move; they then left it as opposed to assembling it back - They left the house incredibly messy until I said something and they cleaned; with that said, still finding dust and dirt in every nook and cranny read more

I've heard horror stories about nightmare experiences with home contractors, so went into this home renovation process with low expectations and caution. My wife and I are first-time home buyers and bought a fixer-upper. We had hardwood floors installed in living room, dining room, and kitchen (nearly 800 sq ft), tile on bathroom and laundry room floor and wall, and kitchen back splash. We shopped across a few vendors and Bruno was fair / competitive on pricing and was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with. His installers were courteous and trustworthy (you're letting someone in your house after all) . We especially liked Israel, who did our bathrooms. The house has been transformed and we really appreciate their detail-oriented work. It's a stressful time when you buy a new home and try to sort everything out before moving in. I got estimates from 4 flooring vendors, and went with Bertolli. So glad I did! We originally wanted hardwood floors. Bruno came out within 48 hours and gave us an estimate. Over time, I got an updated quote as plans kept changing. Eventually, had to change to carpet. He was prompt and professional with responses. I would often hear back from him in no more than 2 hours. I think the clear and timely communication is what really set Bruno apart from the other guys. Once we agreed on the price, I went to the carpeting vendor in town to look at options. They forwarded my preferences to Bertolli so it could be ordered. Arrived in a few days. Install done in a day for roughly 500 sq feet of carpet. The price for materials and labor were in line with others, not the most expensive or cheapest. They did a great job refinishing my hardwood floors. My 20-year-old floors look like new. Bruno, the owner, was very responsive. The crew was professional and took their time to get the job done right. My only complaint was that they left some of the old shoe molding behind, but they agreed to come back and dispose of it the next day, so no big deal. Gonna keep this simple. 1. Project wasn't terminated in timely fashion. Were now in a hotel. 2. They used our washer dryer to clean their alcohol tags. Wife did 2 loads and all the clothes smell really bad. They refused they did it, but my wife knows her equipment and its 100% positive. 4. No forgiveness or apologies. Just that the paperwork said 4-5 days. He told me it would be ready on sunday(day 4), how can you trust anyoneword means nothing. Bottom line, we drove to florida just to stay out of their way. After a 6 hour drive with 4 adults and 2 labs, we had to get a hotel room. My wife got a chance to wash clothes for us to wear, but after taking a showers, all of our clothes smelled like alcohol. This company did a fantastic job! We were working on a tight deadline when we purchased our home almost 1 1/2 years ago and they were in and out. Over time, hardwood floors will lift a little from the glue. There were a couple of places where that had happened. Even though we were outside of our year warranty installation period, (the floors have a lifetime warranty) Bruno had one of his guys come out to Peachtree City to re-glue some areas for us. At first, my newly refinished floor looked great. Only a few months later, it is scratching in any area that has had traffic. The prior surfacing was faded, but it didn't scratch as easily as my floor does now. For example, I spent 4 years rolling my office chair over the bare hardwood floor in the same spot. There was absolutely zero sign of it causing damage. After the resurfacing, it took a single month to find about 1,000 scratches all along the area where the office chair roles back and forth. I had to get one of those plastic mats. Basically any area where someone walks and especially changes direction walking the floor is starting to scratch. At this rate, I'll need to resurface my floor again in a year. I had to move my furniture out of my place for this job (my entire place is hardwood floor) and it cost me thousands. I've never, ever come across a hardwood floor that is so easily scratched! read more

Did a good job on my bathroom tile but the worker's need a better command of english.

I initially hired a general contractor to tile my guest bathroom and laundry room. The guys he sent out were incompetent & not tile experts. They ended up wasting 2 weeks of my time and were still fired before completing the job. I contacted Bruno for an in home estimate and choose him over other company's based on his professionalism and great communication (answered every phone call and email promptly). Bertolli started the job the next week and the entire project took a total of 2 days. My floors look amazing! After seeing how thorough of a job his tile crew did, I realized just how lucky I was that I fired the first company. I've found it very hard to find quality contractors in Atlanta but Bertolli is the best all around! read more

We used them twice. The first time for floor refinishing, the second time for tile and wood floor in the kitchen. The first time was really good. The second time was a disaster. They overcharged us for materials that were not used, they had to come back and replace tile because they laid some with a cut edge exposed to view instead of the factory edge, the ruined a french door to the outside back porch because they cut it too high and then "fixed" the gap with a black edge on a white door, and they didn't do the work beneath the refridgerator that was not exposed to view and then lied to Bruno about it. As much as we liked them for the first job, I do not trust them anymore and would not recommend them. read more
