James did a great job of explaining the situation to me, and was very accommodating by allowing me to bring my car in and speak to him on a day they were closed. Customer service at its finest. Tri City Transmission also gave me better price for a NEW transmission than a franchised auto shop offered me for a used one. I'm grateful I gave my business to them, and highly recommend you to do the same.

Don't go here. A bout 50ish days ago I went here to replace my transmission in my Honda civic. They…read moretold me a used transmission would be 1900 and a new one would be 2500, so I went with the used transmission. They gave me a 60 day warranty and everything went great, the transmission ran great and they did an overall good job but we still had to replace the transmission mount since they did not. Anyways we had to go back 54 days later because the transmission started to leak transmission fluid and they told us they would fix it with the warranty. When I went to pick up the car after they "fixed" it I was treated rudely and with sarcasm all because I didn't respond to a question correctly. When I got the car back I found out they didn't fix shit even though they told me they did, the transmission is still leaking. Do not go hear and waste your time.

The owner did refund my money after another call to them stating I clearly had proof. The corporate…read moreoffice was of no help and quite ignorant with the exact reason for my complaint. They had no idea what the computer printouts even show for such work performed. They seemed more 'bothered' by my complaint vs. wanting to resolve the issue. They said I would just have to wait for the owner to make his decision as if it didn't matter that AAMCO was in the WRONG and that he could just 'punish' us for the poor work performed by making us WAIT for a refund that should have been instant.. I had proof and yet it didn't matter. I just had to wait. It still appears that AAMCO doesn't care much about the customer.

THEY MESSED UP MY BMW!…read more I have never in my life been treated so unfairly and been so insulted like here at this AAMCO. Nick, the gentleman at the front desk, who was in charge of giving me the estimate called me CRAZY. Yes, to me this was unbelievable. This place not only does not have customer service or accurate good service at all, these people including the owner, lack human empathy and all together just the minimum expected morals. I went there to get my car fixed, I was not sure of the problem, I asked them nicely to check it for me first and give me an estimate for the repair. My car was making a chirping noise, which now I know was coming from the belts. However, instead of replacing the belts, they replaced something completely different in my car. And charged me , not double, triple the amount. After driving out from the shop , my car started making the same noise again, while I was still on the way home , my car already showed check engine light . So, I went back, I talked to the OWNER , who of course started being sarcastic and his excuse was that I already drove the car for 30 minutes, they fixed it but I MUST'VE done something. THAT IS SO FUNNY. They came up with several other explanations and told me to come back tomorrow to fix the part that makes the chirping noise. Wait... Did I not , in the first place go in, to get that fixed? Well they "fixed" something else , they charged me $365 for basically, nothing because they didn't know for sure what was making the noise. They were going to charge me another $250 next day, but I realized how really tricked I was. I took it to a different mechanic, they told me I was overcharged roughly ,minimum $230 for the service performed. I told Nick I need a refund, and they can take out their part that they put in my car...he therefore asked me "well, what are we going to do with the part"? And I Asked him WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY CAR , I payed $365 and it's still not fixed. He therefore, answered me with a careless tone, "well it's your vehicle, not mine." I can go on and on. Right now I still was not able to get my money back because the owner is busy, and of course because of their mistake I have to be punished . DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. THEY MESSED UP MY BMW. AND NOW WHAT? .. I'LL MOST LIKELY BE ABLE TO RESOLVE THIS ONLY BY GOING TO COURT. P.S. The day I left they thought my windows were up, but they weren't and I heard them laughing at me when I left... HOW DISGUSTING YOU PEOPLE ARE .

I chose EDS for my car's suspension issue because of all of the good reviews here on YELP, but…read moreunfortunately my experience was poor. My Toyota Corolla started making a loud rumbling noise above 40 mph, so I called EDS, and explained my situation. I live in Bartlett, and work in Wisconsin, so I need my car to be reliable. Because Geneva is the opposite direction from where I work, I had to drop my car off after hours, as well as pick it up again after hours. They told me I needed my right front wheel bearing replaced, and after they did that, they called to tell me that the left front bearing was making noise too, so they ended up replacing both of these bearings, for a total of $940. When I picked up the car, the same noise was still there. As far as they are away from me, and after them clearly mis-diagnosing my problem twice, I called another closer, highly rated place, and explained my situation. They fixed the problem (a rear wheel bearing, not the fronts) for $337. To add insult here, when working on my car, the guy at EDS tried to talk me into $200 worth of brake work that I did not need. I am not a trouble maker by nature, and as I stated, I chose EDS because of the high number of positive reviews, so maybe they just had a bad day, but this time they CLEARLY got it wrong, and it cost me a lot of money.

Great service at a good price!…read more I thought my car was a goner, it would not start, or if it did would only run a short time. Had to have it towed to Mikes. They found the problem quickly and the next day I was back on the road!

A few weeks…read morelater, my wife noticed the brakes were making a squealing noise during turns so I brought the vehicle back to have it inspected. I was charged $100 just for them to look into the issue. What was most concerning was learning that when the brakes and rotors were replaced a few weeks earlier, the shop chose to install lower-quality aftermarket parts rather than OEM parts. The original components on the vehicle were OEM, but instead of giving us the option to choose, the service advisor of Indian descent told me they used cheaper parts because OEM parts were "too expensive" and would make them less competitive. That decision was made without our knowledge or approval. When it comes to critical safety components like brakes, customers should always be given the option and informed about the quality of parts being installed. Choosing lower-quality parts to save money--without discussing it with the customer--raises serious concerns about quality, safety, and reliability. At the very least, we should have been given the option to replace the parts with OEM components or informed beforehand about what was being installed. Instead of rectifying their original mistake they shifted focus to other parts (pins) that still didn't address the issue at hand. Hence, I would not recommend if you're looking for honesty, quality, safety, and RELIABILITY.
