New ownership 12/2020 and it is the place I'm taking all 3 of our cars. Honest explanations, impeccable work, no rush to sell anything, predicting need for future service, not pushing stuff you don't need. I've followed Rob & Sergio as they moved to take over Crescent, and a big part of the reason Rob wanted to take over this business was that it matched his own long-standing commitment to excellence. His service writer is also a rated Master Mechanic. Rob himself has the highest accolades from ASE, ranking the single highest test scores of their membership over the last several years. Rob has taken some very high tech gadgetry such as FLIR Cameras (military stuff, Google it) and applied them to automotive diagnostics. He has a very Sherlock Holmes way of approaching problems with technology. He really could be a teacher. I trust them with my 370Z. When I was there today Sergio was doing a turbo replacement on a Porsche, while Rob was beating the snot out of a frozen Jeep brake with a 3# sledge. Patching tires, installing rear view cameras, oil changes, spark plugs, all the common maintenance stuff, all of the crazy technology whiz bangery. I've owned cars since 1966. Absolutely a rip off!!! $210 for and oil and filter change on my Volvo xc90! That's 60$ more than the dealer which is expensive! That price is ridiculous! 45 min in labor 34$ ok, parts where $150 What?? 5 qts of oil syn and a filter!! read more

I've been going to Crescent Auto for several years now, and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. The team is always friendly, honest, and professional. They do great work, explain things clearly, and never try to push unnecessary repairs. It's rare to find a shop you can trust, but Crescent Auto has definitely earned that trust over time. I recently had an internal engine problem and Steve told me to see if it's still under warranty and to take it to the Dealer. I took my vehicle for a few years to this place for oil changes....I knew I was overpaying, but it was convenient. I then needed to get my brakes fixed....I got a total of 4 quotes and they were more than double all of the other reputable places. They also told me more than a few things were wrong that needed should be fixed and none of the other places stated the same. Stay clear unless you do not care about $$$. read more

Went to see these guys on the recommendation of another Honda owner who raved about them, after my power steering just quit working one day. I called Steve about the issue, confirmed I could drop the car off the next day, and Moe took care of me. They replaced some hoses and a pressure switch, added more fluid to the lines, and it runs like new. Err, well, like a 13 year old car with functioning power steering should run! When I picked it up, they took the time to explain to me that there might be some residual dripping from the rusted out hoses, and gave me some tips on how to manage that until it all evaporates. I came in one day for a basic oil change I was new in town looking for a local mechanic. I walked in the front door very quietly and overheard them using some very nasty and negative things about African Americans and Indian Americans These men are extremely racist. They were not welcoming. I got a very bad vibe from them. I asked a few questions and walked out. Just an FYI I am white and they treated me as if they didn't need my money. Found these guys on Yelp and Internet. Visiting family from out of town and father-in-law needed some repairs on his car. Crescent Garage was requested to fix a number of issues/items on my Dodge Durango as well as a general tune up. Their inspection also found a leaking differential seal and some pullies that were the source of noise I was hearing. Their repair work and time to complete was outstanding, Mo and Steve are great to work with, and I am VERY pleased with all the repair work performed. I found this service garage via a coworker when I moved to elmhurst. I brought in my records and they uploaded into their system so I have one place to go to manage my cars. They referred me to another place when one high mile car needed differential fix in rear axle. Another 5-star place. I had an emergency service issue with my car on my way to work and had to have it corrected ASAP. Because I live downtown and work in Oak Brook I needed a repair shop close to my office near 22nd and York Rd. My experience was extremely professional and Jim took his time to explain what was happening with my car and then he corrected it. They offered me a ride to and from the shop. Overall the shop was clean and I was impressed with the level of service and professionalism of everyone I spoke to that day. read more

This place and its people are amazing! My evidence is the 325,000 miles on one vehicle, 90,000 on another 198,000 on another and I feel very confident with my son's brand new car receiving a safety inspection with his oil changes. As someone else wrote, a detailed explanation is provided and it is made clear as to what repair items can wait, which are routine maintenance, etc. Service is always completed with a smile and expertly done. I have never had a single problem and they've bailed me out in emergency type situations more than once.
