What a gem on the UES for brow/lash services. The space is super clean, cute and incredibly welcoming. Every girl who works here is very talented and so nice. I came in for a lash lift and brow clean up, Rayna did my service. She was very thorough, professional and detail oriented. The process took about 35 minutes and she talked me through the whole thing. My lashes look incredible and it will last 6-8 weeks. Best lash lift I've ever gotten, and i been to a few different places, and my brows look so much better after coming in. I decided to try this place out after my hair lady suggested it! I was hesitant as I usually am pretty scared to try new places!! From the moment I walked in, the woman who checked me in was extremely nice and just had a comfortable "vibe" to her. Rayna (the person I was assigned to) was super sweet and patient! I was very disappointed in my experience after reading so many great reviews. First and foremost I found the staff to be very unfriendly and not welcoming or helpful. The service itself was the worst eyebrow experience I've had. I received a tweeze, lamination and tint. My aesthetician was extremely sloppy, leaving dye all over my face and skin and many loose hairs untweezed. My eyebrows ended up looking extremely patchy. I was rushed out after finishing my service so wasn't able to provide feedback or correct. read more

I tried to face my fears and test out a new eyebrow spot, (I have been traumatized in the past for doing exactly that) only to be left frustrated and upset that not only did I spend more $$ than I do at my usual wax place, but also left with my eyebrows looking uneven, untamed, and poorly shaped. This is my first yelp review. Thought I would share my honest experience, because I'm very disappointed in the service I received after reading such great reviews. I came here for the first time today after viewing the 5 star rating and thought my needs would be met. The woman who waxed my eyebrows and lip was very sweet, however she didn't listen or fully grasp the concept or look of what I had asked for. I even showed her a picture of myself with a previous brow shape that I was hoping to achieve this time. After she had finished my brows and I had my "first look" with the mirror I was left questioning her why there was stray hairs still left in an area I had told her that I wanted very defined and arched. She did some more tweezing to remove the hairs I didn't want there in the first place and I had my second look, and to be honest it didn't look that much different. My brows were now left super uneven and I was told to just fill them in because she couldn't grasp the concept that I wanted them thinner and more defined. (I know big bold brows are in, but they do not look well on me) I also noticed a stray hair on my lip in the middle part underneath my nose after it had been waxed, but decided to let it go because I had been nitpicking already with the waxer about my stray eyebrow hairs that couldn't seem to be resolved to the shaped I wanted, so at that point I just wanted to get out of there with what was left over of my eyebrows. I ended up going home and looking in a mirror with better lighting than at the shop and to my frustration there were multiple stray hair patches on my lip and eyebrows left over!!! Once I washed my hands and ran my finger over my lip I felt all the prickly hairs that should have been removed! I now have stubble for my vacation this week and was left to tweeze all the hairs off my eyebrows that the waxer has missed. At other waxing places I always leave with my eyebrows looking dramatically different, cleaned up, and shaped to a T. My lip is usually soft as a baby's bottom, but not today...I am just very annoyed that I spent money on a service where the quality and outcome was not what I expected and that my experience was not consistent with what the business presents and prides themselves of. read more

Today was my first visit to Bespoke Brows and WOW am I impressed! The staff is so friendly- I immediately felt at ease when I walked in. I've been getting my brows threaded and tinted by the same person in Florida for years, but needed to (finally) find somewhere in NYC. I am so glad I have Bespoke a shot. Rayna walked me through the tinting/waxing process immediately. She answered all of my questions and really listened to what I was looking for. I have VERY light brows and she managed to build color in such a natural way. For the (painless) wax, Rayna listened to exactly what shape I like and adjusted throughout until I was happy. A woman (who I think is the owner) was training another associate on brows/lashes while I was there and it was so clear to me that this staff (i) really cares about customer satisfaction and (ii) knows EXACTLY what they're doing. Rebecca is quite literally the only person in NYC (maybe tri-state area, maybe America) I would trust to touch my eyebrows. After I had one terrible experience (someone pulled a chunk out of my brows), fate intervened and I met her at Boom Boom Brow Bar. I have followed Rebecca around the city ever since - I even commute from deep in BK to the UES just for her. My brows are crazy -- they grow super fast and in all directions, and are super thick in some areas and sparse in others. Rebecca is somehow able to tame and shape them, and always leaves me feeling pretty after a tint & wax. And honestly, besides just being really talented and patient, she is an awesome person to hang out with and will always make you laugh. Absolutely adore this place. My brows have never looked this good. These ladies are brow goddesses, seriously. I live on the west side so I don't get in as often as I should. Admittedly, I have walked in with gremlin brows on more than one occasion, but it's never phased them. I really appreciate how meticulous they are. Even when every chair is taken, they still take their time and treat you like you're the only client in there. I have never walked out with less than perfect brows. My poor friends & family get unsolicited brow pics after every appointment. My father now thinks it's funny to interrupt serious stories to ask me, "but what did they think of your eyebrows?" If I could give this place more than 5 stars I 1000% would. To give you a little backstory on my brows, I've gotten them threaded for almost a decade now. I used to swear by the technique and I used to love the way my brows looked after getting them done. However, over the past few years I came to realize that every time I would go, my brows would get thinner and thinner. In the last couple of months I became so frustrated, because I felt like the women who did them never listened to what I wanted, and just kind of did whatever. Ultimately, it left me with brows that were uneven and way too thin. After passing by Bespoke on multiple occasions, I finally decided to take the plunge and go in for a wax. I had my lashes lifted around 2 weeks ago. Initially it looked great but I have been losing around 6-10 eyelashes each day since, it has not slowed down at all, and they are starting to look very thin. For reference I meticulously apply moisturizing lash serum to them as I know this can be damaging, but this is way more damage than I bargained for. I'm going to be left with no lashes, and this certainly will not last for 6 weeks. Update - I lost most of the lashes on the outside corner of my left eye. read more

The place is very small with about six high top chairs. The staff is friendly and efficient. I also really like that they do not take reservations. This feels like a place that is in and out so you really don't need them. Hi I went in yesterday and I asked for a small touch up on my brows. I thought since the lady asked what I wanted and we discussed in detail that she understood. She even said you don't want a lot just a touch up. She took off way too much. I have never had them waxed and so much hair taken off. She completely changed the shape of my brow and I don't recognize myself. I am completely unsatisfied. It may not even grow back to look as good. I wish I could get my money back and then some. I had kind of a strange experience here on my last visit. After coming several times for both brows and a lash tint and lift, I was just turned away for having makeup on, despite having makeup on and removing it on previous visits. I offered to wash my face and remove it, but they said that I would not have been able to wear eye makeup at all the day of the service. There were two colleagues working and no other customers in the shop. It seems strange to turn business away when makeup can just be removed. I live in Los Angeles and stay downtown when I'm in NYC, so I had previously been making the trip to Bespoke Brows just for this purpose. Going to find another place to go in the future. read more

First time here, I was so nervous after a bad experience a few blocks down at YUVA threading where they took my thick arched brows and made them straight and skinny. I had been trying to grow them since August and my usual place Anastasia Brow Bar was booked. I researched like crazy and found Bespoke. I walked in and they took me right away, filled out a health waiver, and actually listened to me when I warned of my sensitive skin. Usually places just cut or burn me anyway but Shayna actually noticed and began tweezing to avoid this. She was so patient and meticulous, she showed me near the end what they looked like and asked for my input (never been asked what I think before!). I'm a little late with this review but I have to give this place a 5 star. I have been here 5 times and have always walked out so happy. Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Sophia. I explained that I wanted a brow wax, tint and lip wax. Needless to say I will not be going anywhere else. She did an amazing job. Trying out a new brow place/lady can certainly be nerve wracking especially during this time of COVID19. I saw that the brow specialists who work here are Barbicide and Milady Pro Infection Control certified so I decided to give it a shot. Upon entering, you are asked to wash your hands. Molly was my brow specialist and was wonderful in explaining the safety measures and what was to be expected during the waxing process. I felt safe seeing the brow specialists thoroughly wash their hands before and after every client. At one point, Molly had to answer some phone calls. I really appreciated that she degloved, washed her hands, and put a new pair of gloves on before returning to me each time. They do not take appointments so you might have to wait if the brow specialists are busy with other clients. Overall, I had a very positive experience and I am happy with the outcome of my brows! read more

Rebecca is wonderful! I just moved here from CA, and I have sensitive skin AND trust issues when it comes to my brows. She made me feel so comfortable, and explained exactly what she was about to do. Rebecca's consultation showed her expertise and customer service. She also offered water and charged my phone, which made me feel welcome. The wax was warm but not too hot, and Rebecca put a protective product on my skin to prep my it for waxing. Her technique was gentle yet precise, and she kept my brows thick, like I like them! I also got my upper lip waxed for the August special, and that was quick and easy. My skin recovered quickly, and the redness faded thanks to the product she used to soothe it. She explained that I could get my eyebrows trimmed for free in between sessions, and that she'd work to shape and regrow parts of my brows.
