We met with Sean and told him about how our currently landscaping with taking a ton of water and money to keep green. My wife and I were spending a lot or hours week after trimming, sweeping and cleanup to maintain our landscaping. It was not what we thought it would be when we installed it and certainly no longer environmentally viable. We had several queen palms that had become huge and too large for our planters and ever day they dropped all kinds of seeds and made a mess. Our Bougainvillea's had become overgrown and constantly dropped dead flowers and leaves. We also had old landscaping lighting that had become corroded, broken and burned out so effectively useless. Sean helped us remove all the over grown water hungry dirty plants and trees and replace them with new drought tolerant low maintenance plants that look wonderful. Then It's one argument after another. 3 times I have had to call and ask for a supervisor to come out. After the last crew got angry, I was uncomfortable in my own back yard. I called to cancel and Steven, the customer no-service agent got on the line he asked what the problem was. Every time I told him what was wrong he said that was really ok. Everything was ok. Over and over again, repeating himself. I've finally had enough. But they won't let me get rid of them. I have to pay them again to come to my yard, not do their job and make me uncomfortable in my own home. They are a big company and they do not care. Stay away. Don't get involved with them. You can't get them out of your yard.

He listened to the ideas we had for the design of the yard and gave some suggestions without being pushy. He met us at the store that sold the material and helped us choose the stone and color for the look we were trying to achieve. The work was done in a short amount of time without it being rushed through and in spite of the fact that we were newbie's at this and had ideas that didn't always work. We were so pleased with the end result that we immediately had the driveway and front walkway done as well as the area around the driveway pedestrian gate. Roger's reasonable price allowed us to complete that job as well and, like the backyard, was sorely needed. That job was also done in less than a week. Now, both areas look amazing and I can now relax since the sight of them no longer makes me crazy. Overall, Genesis Stoneworks was the right choice for us and we are very happy with the results. My wife was having her car washed at a local car wash and found Josh hand drying the cars for extra money. After receiving her retainer fee, I heard virtually nothing from Miriam for almost a month. My phone calls and emails were not returned and I finally received an email response a month after our engagement started stating that she is "still working on it." That was it for the details. She never had the time in her schedule to meet, even though she gave me her availability and when I called to confirm a meeting during one of those available dates, she told me that she couldn't meet on such short notice . Keep in mind, she gave me her available times/dates, I didn't just create a time that was only convenient for me without asking her first. That was just one example of her complete disorganization and horrible customer service. I'm not an overly demanding client. I just expect phone calls and emails to be returned and I expect that a timeline (that she agreed to) would be honored. It took her over 2 months to get us a very basic design which left us completing the drawings ourselves in Photoshop. We had about a month left to hardscape and landscape our property before our deadline (we planning a huge family get-together/birthday party on a set date with family flying out from the east coast - Miriam was aware of this date from the very beginning in early December). Thank goodness for the landscapers we hired to take her place. They were professional, timely, and helped us to get our project completed after Miriam completely failed us. We collaborated with our new landscapers as we tried to figure out the challenges that Miriam's partially completed design left us. What she left us with was not to scale and did not account for any of the physical challenges/elevations of our space. But she wouldn't have known that since she never had the time in her schedule to come meet us on site after she collected her retainer. Worst experience ever.

One side of the concrete stair steps color is darker than the other side and the color uneven, some spots are dark and some are lighter plus very rough. Asking him to at least smooth it out but he ignored and never see him again after he got my money. Later I end up to paint that uneven color stair steps lighter so to match other side. I won't recommend him to anybody. Very unprofessional!
