Emilio and crew refreshed out backyard kitchen and backyard - and I highly recommend you reach out to them for your next project. What i found particularly valuable is their collaboration - as i had a vague idea (more like here is what i don't like) and he & team were super creative with concepts and approaches. Specifically, we had him remove & replace kitchen countertop / refinish patio cover / reseal concrete / install lights & exhaust / and tighten up some of the landscape (rocks, etc). The attention to detail is remarkable, and I appreciate the communications to help figure out how to accomplish things in my target. We absolutely love our front yard and backyard!! I had the design done and finding someone that was able to understand exactly what I wanted was a difficult task until we met Emilio! He was easy to work with, very kind, easy to get ahold of, and very hardworking! They executed the design exactly how I showed them and it turned out amazing! We needed some brick replaced on the front of our house after doing some work on the siding above the brick. We were having trouble finding people who specialize in brick, but we reached out to Emilio and he was able to come by and take a preliminary look and give us a quote. Within a couple weeks we were ready to book and he came back out to take one more look and confirm the scope of work with me. This was on a Monday and he told us he could get started as early as that weekend! By the very same Saturday his team was done!! They arrived promptly at 7am as promised and were done by about 2pm!! I can't believe how quickly Emilio was able to get this project completed for us. Originally he thought it would be 2.5 days worth of work but they were done in 1! After the review I left on 8/26/2023 the owner Emilio reached out to me through Yelp. I declined his offer to speak directly with him after he acknowledged remembering me as a potential customer, and acknowledged through Yelp messaging that he dropped the ball on our project. His response to my declining was to report me for review, and my initial review was removed. I had a real experience with Divine landscaping and it was not satisfactory, hence my original review. He lost our business, and cost the business for the company who referred him. We were referred to him for some work we needed with landscaping on an up coming pool install that included a 82 foot retaining & seating wall and the rerouting/install of irrigation to even begin our pool project, then after install, all the greenery and a few other items areas of walkway patios/driveway extension. After the 3rd no call no show, we had multiple phone conversations but ultimately gave up on him June 20, 2023. read more

I cannot recommend Emilio and his team enough. My back and side yard were in desperate need of an overhaul. I had three companies come out to talk to me about. Emilio spent over an hour with me for our first consultation. He was knowledgeable, asked lots of questions and provided recommendations. Before I decided who to go, he met with me again and did a design plan. It was exactly what we had discussed and helped me envision what the final look would be. His crew was fantastic too. They were so fast and courteous. My neighbors even mentioned how great they were to me. They were able to get started earlier than we expected and finished faster too. I was suggested this landscaper via Yelp under projects. The company was responsive in returning my call however after I sent him photos of the yard and what I wanted done, we set an approximate time to meet and then nothing. I didn't hear from and he never returned my texts. I guess I live too far away and the work wasn't worth the drive. If that's the case, I would have rather him tell me than just me that. In either event, I went with a local landscaper who got the work done in a week. I'm giving a 2 only because he did reach out to me through Yelp. It would be nice if Yelp have recommendations for local guys when you submit a request though Yelp projects. read more

Emilio and his team installed the lawn around our pool for us last September. It was a small job but we are very happy with the result. He was very accomidating when working around the pool builders schedule but still got the job done quickly. We made it through winter with A LOT of rain without any drainage issues. I was recently having some issues with my lawn drying up and wilting, but Emilio was happy to come out and take a look at it for me. I hate to give businesses such a low score for their work and this one is particularly difficult because Emilio is a likeable guy. His communication skills with his clients are very poor but worse than communication skills is the mess left behind. My yards looked great once they were done but they've all gone downhill. He used his brother on my job and he did a horrible job. He put line down for a drip system which never worked because there were no leader lines running to the bedding plants. I lost my 8 year old Peony plants (4), a couple Azalea bushes and all 6 of my Hydrangeas. Emilio installed a sprinkler system for me and it was inadequate because he never connected the water to these areas. He installed an Orbit sprinkler system program and it was installed outside when the box clearly read that the system needed to be in the garage. Yesterday, I paid 500.00 to a reputable sprinkler repair man to replace the Orbit system with a Rainbird sprinkler system and he discovered the lack of water to my lost plants and set about fixing them. He did not get done and will return Monday to finish the job and he quoted me a price of 150.00 for Mon work. I paid Emilio 30K for front yard and backyard along with the irrigation system to the flower beds. I used Emilio Zavalas from Divine Landscaping without a contract and it's my fault. Had I have had a contract, I'd be in court today trying to get my money back or some of it. Beware of Emilio and his crew. Very likeable but likeability does not equal a good job. read more

They told us that the work would be done and that if we had any problems within the 1st year that they would take care of it. They also told us that if any of the plants died that they put in they would replace them. The plants started to die within the 1st few months. And then we noticed a few months later that water was sitting on the grass and not drainingfrom the sprinkler system they installed.So now we have part of our grass dying 1/2 of our plants dying. I called Emilio and he didn't answer, so I left a message. Two days later he had not returned my call so I called again and he said he woul be by the next day, but he never showed up. I waited a few weeks later , he then answered and said he would come by , which he did. Needless to say we were very irritated and told him how unprofessional he had been by not answering our calls. Then he looked around and made nothing but excuses. We have weeds coming through the landscape fabric he used. He insisted sitting water is from a preexisting problem that he told us about at which we said how stupid it would have been for us to have him lay sod knowing water wouldn't drain. He then said he would be by with his assistant in a couple of days to review work and decide what to do. Needless to say , it's been many weeks and he hasn't returned. We paid a lot of money for this work and we have to handwater plants after having a brand new sprinkler system. I would warn anybody not to use this company. read more
