I'm looking at recent reviews, and thought I should also post something recent. I've been coming to BB's for about six years now, my son also. During the pandemic we all stayed home and cut our own hair. Returning to work, I started going back once again. Their prices have gone up significantly, but so has every other barber shops. And to be honest, this is the only place I've ever been able to find, where you get a consistently good cut, even though sometimes the barbers change. So far, in over six years, I haven't been disappointed. Maybe I've just had good luck, but if something does change, or if I have a bad experience, I'll be sure to post an update. But for now, they have my five stars, highly recommend. read more

I honestly will be going to another barber shop from now on. Been going here for the last 7-8 years but just this year already 3 times I've had bad haircuts and this last one was just awful. Guy cut my hair way too short when i asked for a small trim and didn't even do what I asked for on the sides. Disappointed honestly, and now I get to deal with this awful haircut. read more

The worse customer service ever experienced not once but twice: First time arrived to Bb's at 1645 hrs the sign states the close at 1700 hrs there were customers inside but the door was locked! Second, I arrived at 0800 hours they open at 0830 hrs, I was the first customer arrived to BB's I was seating waiting for Barbers get the stuff together then two other customers arrived and they were taken care before me, so I got up and left. Welp, I guess i gotta find a new barber for my son. Over the last 2-3 years their prices have doubled. They're not giving you anything different. $30 for a basic cut is a stretch from $18!!! Are you kidding me? Forget the fade that's gonna cost you $35-40. Now you gotta make an appointment that they really don't honor, leave you sitting there for about 20-30min and so you just get the next available barber..., good luck. I can only imagine how hard it is for families with more than 1 kid to pay. Id probably pay about the same at a salon but at least they honor your appointment and you get a full wash n style. The prices have gone UP and the quality of service has gone DOWN. Every time I come here, it's a new line up of barbers. Last time I went to this location in 2019, the lady who cut my son's hair, I don't know what she did. Some parts were short, some were long. It looked like a hot mess. Never coming back here. One barber stopped working on his client's hair to walk over to the other side to show his co-workers a video on his phone. While there are other customers waiting for their turn. The staff here is completely unprofessional. While the fat brown dude that works here was cutting my hair they were talking about other customers. They weren't saying anything flattering. He referred to one of his customers as the one "with the dumb face." Trust me this guy is in no position to be talking about anyone's appearance. ***The barbers also make up prices on the spot, so I don't recommend adding a tip to what they charge because they're already including it in the price. Needless to say I'm never coming back here. I know barber shops are filled with catty men but this one tops the cake. I came here to get a clean up and the cut was good I got what I asked for. I was sitting in my chair and chopping it up w the barber til his buddy (another barber) came over and started talking to him as he's cutting my hair. Like damn foo don't you have somewhere to be? Maybe someone's hair to cut? I braid my hair and this foo says in Spanish "I don't like long hair because it looks paisa" like I wouldn't understand what he said. In other words foo don't be a bitch and say it to my face yknow what I'm saying? Don't go AROUND me and tell the barber cutting my hair what you think about long hair. That foo was a paisa himself but what ever. He didn't want any gun smoke with me. That's why he spoke out loud and not directly to me. I think he was to scared to tell me, but over all the cut was good. But that buster made it a horrible experience for me. He was flamed up to. Probably a buster, wouldn't doubt it. Look man, if y'all want a hair cut from quality barbers who care there's a shop across the plaza that'll take good care of you. They also talk shit about people as soon as they leave. Nice place and cool Aesthetic's with the chairs that look like they were pulled from a movie theater....When I asked if I needed cash? A barber said no they take some form of Apple Pay or can swipe the card... Without an additional charge... bottom line I had my 9 year old and a 14 year old and before tip charged me $38 and an additional $2 fee for using a card (which I asked if I needed cash!!) bringing my total of $ 40 without ip. Bottom line - $48for 2 haircuts absurd! I paid and won't be back. I also didn't like the lack of Barbasol a chemical used to clean razors and shavers. read more

Usually when you go to a barbershop it's because you're trying to unwind and enjoy your haircut but at this establishment the people that work here love to talk on their phone in your ear while cutting your hair. On top of that there have been examples where I was scheduled for an appointment at a certain time and had to sit there and wait for 15 to 20 minutes never was that an issue ever... I never once complained and I never once allow that to affect how much I chose to tip I always tipped the person that cut my hair $10-$15 when an average tip for a haircut is $5 with all this being said Frank who was cutting my hair obviously does not appreciate his regular customers or the fact that they're spending their money at his barbershop instead of spending it at the barbershop right down the street because the reality is that there are a lot of barbershops in this town for somebody to be so rude and arrogant. In life common mistakes happen usually it's nothing personal it's just an honest mixup I had two small mix ups where I had to reschedule an appointment and the second time I had to reschedule on him he decided to tell me that if I want to book any further appointments I need to pay him $20 in advance even though that is not a policy of the barbershop it's just something he made up because of a honestly mixup... I informed him that there's no way in hell I'm going to be giving him a $20 deposit for my haircut because of a common mistake especially after all the times that I've sat there in that lobby waiting for him and never once have I ever said anything to him about it his arrogant self wanted to continue on by telling me that I'm a flake. This establishment is just really unprofessional this is the second time I've had a horrible experience with this place the first time it was because I was allowing a female to cut my hair and every time I went to go get my haircut with her she spent the entire time running her mouth on the phone and each time my haircut would be super choppy so then I started to get my haircut by Frank who did a pretty decent job but that doesn't mean that because someone cuts your hair decent doesn't give them the right to talk down on because of a common mistake or make rules up as they go because of a mistake... even though this person Frank has left me sitting in his lobby for 15 to 20 minutes waiting on him and never once have I ever said any kind of complaint so now I'm complaining since I'm a flake this is what a flake does. read more

If i could give no stars i would. Ive been here 3 different times with my son and every single time they've cut his hair different from what I've asked. But this last time was the worst. I asked for a mid fade on my sons hair and they gave him a high and tight. They left the top of his hair so chopped and uneven its ridiculous. I used to frequent this barbershop to get an immaculate flat top. The barber who I think was either a manager or an owner always cut my hair. Then one visit she handed me off to a coworker. I was nervous because flat tops are difficult and not all barbers like to do them. I was assured there would be no problem. I should have known I was in trouble when she got out some sort of giant plastic comb to help her keep things straight. The end result was a flat top that was about 1/2 inch higher on one side than the other. It looked like I had cut a ski slope on my head. When she held up the mirror and I saw it it was so obviously terrible that I was afraid to ask her to fix it. I think I would've wound up bald as she chased each side down lower and lower. I had to go to another shop to get it fixed. All the barbers had a good laugh at it. Be forewarned the quality of the cuts here are extremely uneven. I have not returned which is too bad because it's very close to my home. read more

I have been to this barber shop a couple of times now. I don't get to go often since I don't live in Palmdale but whenever I am visiting my parents I have to take advantage and stop here. They have many barbers so the wait time is usually not bad, even if you see a crowd when you first enter. Most barbers are very courteous and as fast as the quality of the cut, I have no complaints. The inside of the shop itself is very clean and the waiting area is nice with very comfortable chairs. Also the price for a cut is great! I wish they had an installment in Santa Barbara. I don't think I've been disappointed with their hair cuts BUT every single time I go, they take FOREVER. And it's not because they are taking your time cutting your hair, it's just that they talk to each other so damn much that they forget their there to work and that they have a client on their chair. It's really annoying and unprofessional to just stop and talk to the guy next to you. The last time I walked up to the barber who was cutting my sons hair I had to tell Him if he could please stop talking and finish cutting my sons hair. His response was that he's only been on the chair 15 minutes. I left it at that but I wanted to say really? 15 minutes because you've been talking and not doing your job the last 6. Our family tried this place for the first time yesterday and we had a good experience. We were greeted after entering this shop and asked to sign in. We had a seat and waited, for a Saturday afternoon the wait seemed appropriate for the amount of barbers but we had refreshments and tv to occupy us while we waited. The Best Barbershop is simply NOT the best barbershop. I went in with about 6 inch long curly hair, I told my barber that I wanted half of the length cut off all around which would give me 3 inches everywhere, I wanted a taper that did not proceed above my ear, and a line up. (I specifically instructed him NOT to take my hair line back any further because other barbers had done so in the past. Here's what he did: he 1.) cut my hair too short EVERYWHERE except within a little stupid circle on the front top of my head, 2.) took my line up back, 3.) gave me the wackest taper ever - of course where I asked him not to - above my ear. HE DID (((((NOT))))) GIVE ME THE SIMPLE HAIRCUT I ASKED FOR, BUT GAVE ME THE HAIRCUT THAT HE WANTED TO GIVE ME. I don't remember his name, but his chair was the first one on the right when you walk in. One of the older short Hispanic guys. BEWARE! The only reason I gave them two stars is because I can't hold accountable the whole shop for one whack barber. And because looks wise it was the nicest barber shop I've been to period. read more

Had an excellent experience here. The shop is very clean, hard wood floors, air conditioned, and the waiting area has movie theater seats. Very impressed. Waited less than ten minutes. Super clean and nicely decorated shop, Extremely friendly Barbers, and the prices are great. It couldn't have been more pleasant and easy. I will be going back repeatedly. I've only had one barber here that knows how to cut. Girl with the tattoos. Everyone else here are mediocre at best. Fades are acceptable at times, but I have really wavy hair and i need someone good with the shears. Girl with the tattoos, Veronica I think, knows how to use them. Got a cut and asked for a medium fade with a light trim. Fade was too high, dude gave me a pineapple cut . Top was uneven. These barbers should take notes from Chopp Shop or La Barberia in Lancaster. It's your job to make sure your customer leaves with a good haircut, take some pride in your work! read more

This review is based on the last few years that I've been coming here to get my haircut.. sometimes there good other times there just ok and a few times they mess up your hair and just let you walk out not saying anything knowing they messed up, like today! Of course it's easier to notice when I get to my home and clean up whatever they missed. I've tried giving different barbers here chances and the more rookie ones it seems like are the ones that mess up. Why have a barber in your shop that can't cut hair right. I'm the one that has to go on about my days with your mistake! So I've learned my lesson to be extremely selective. Maybe I won't return here either. Been going here since 2015. Perfect place if you want a quality barber haircut, but without waiting for hours or overpaying. Some barber are better than others, but they all get the job done.
