I've been coming to this barbershop for the past three years and have always left feeling clean and confident with every cut. I've had a cut from most of the barbers that are typically there and can tell they have a lot of love for their craft. Made an appointment at 12 pm for 530pm. Showed up 5 min early the door is closed and just a sign saying call to schedule. I thought for covid reasons they open the door since it says 9-6pm on the window even online and there was 4 other ppl waiting also. So 540 I called to see if they will still take me since they are taking long. Someone answers refused to give there name saying they close at 5. He stated times online and on window are wrong not to trust those times. He refused to honor my appointment of 530 even tho they close at 6. I come here every 2 weeks lately the quality of service has been falling but they keep raising prices. If you can look for another place for hair cuts that care when you make an appointment and honor them I suggest you do so you don't waste you're time and leave work early for an appointment they can't keep. read more

Super last min cut I took my 7 year old as a walk in to THE SHOP THE BARBER SHOP, where we were asked to take a number. The wait was less than 30 mins. I've been coming here for more than five years and have been pleased with the service and prices. It can get busy in the afternoons and weekends, but their ticket system is helpful, and you can sometimes call ahead and make appointments with certain barbers, up to a day ahead. I don't have a particular barber, which means all barbers have cut my hair at one point or another. I get a "low fade, 8 on top, zero on the sides" most of the time--nothing fancy--but I've found the results consistent among all barbers. As for service, I was most pleased during the pandemic. The Shop did their best to be open as much as possible (as opposed to many barber shops, which just closed and didn't even try to serve customers). Over the five years I've been a customer, I've found them reliable. The vibe inside is pleasant, the barbers seem to get along with each other, the TVs usually show news or sports, and the restroom is always clean. They accept cash only, and recently added an ATM if needed. I'm sure I'll continue visiting The Shop for many years. read more

No Fernando, this is not a "fake review". I always went there & took my 3 boys there. You guys are in the shopping center on 47th st East & Ave R. My boyfriend has NO ILLNESS & the fact that you decide to go on here to spread false information on the situation instead of reaching out to find a solution shows the lack of care you have for your customers. I hope people see this & you go out of business because this is not right to do to people then come try make up a story about an illness. The first picture where he had a haircut was when he had gotten a hair cut by Delilah the time before he was given the bald spot. The picture where he has bald spot was when he let his hair grow in hopes that he would grow hair on the damage are but unfortunately Delilah caused permanent damage to the hair follicles buy yanking the chunk of hair with the clippers. It's really sad to go inside a barbershop and for the barber to not take his job seriously and just want to make a quick buck for a quick cut This was the case when I went in there this afternoon . My husband was so fed up with my amazing haircut cutting skills. He didn't think they were so amazing. He said "I'm never letting a female cut my hair". He mentioned this barber shop. As furious as I was I told he goes I go. We sat down and since the shop was empty lol. Guess who was there. A women. A women with a passion of cutting men's hair. As he got up and walked to go get his haircut. I saw the fear in his eyes and leaned to my ear and whispered " watch her f*** my s*** up". I prayed so hard for her not to mess up. I have been bringing my son here and I love the service from the Barber's here. They are not like other shops. You can feel the respect the staff have for eachother almost like a family feel. My son has gotten haircuts from mostly all the Barber's and all of them are pretty good. I don't feel I have to wait for just one. Yes of course some do cut hair better than others, but I feel they all come close to how good and uneak they all are. I hope they continue to give this type of service. My son really like's Big John for some reason. He has cut his hair once in a while, but he's really good and has lot's of guys always waiting on him. I do prefer for Big John to cut my little man's hair because he really likes him, but when he's busy and has a lot of customers I don't mind the others cutting my little boys hair! ;) Only thing is that it can get pretty crowded while you wait, but they are all pretty fast! read more
