Waited for 20 min to get help. Was quoted $898 for a 75" TCL Frame TV. I even questioned it and was told it's $400 off. I was like heck that is a deal. We will take it. 20 min waiting for someone to get the TV and check us out. Finally went to check out and was told the saleswoman made a mistake and gave a price for 65": The actual price was $1500. Then the manager approached us and told us they were closing. We explained our experience and he really didn't care. Wasted almost an hour there. I'm done. Never going back to that location. 2/3 of the walls are empty with no TV's on display. Go to another Best Buy in another city (ie Oxford, AL) and you will see not only TV's on all the display walls but employees actually trained well enough to give you a much better experience with a manager that cares to make a sale. We will never again waste our time at such poorly run store. read more

Tried to purchase 2 iPad for Xmas and 1 case. Clerk rang out and charged my account for 2 iPad pros and 1 case I told them no because that was not the units we discussed, and I had asked for. He did credit the Ipads immediately but not the case Since then I have had late notices on my acct and service charges for a case that never left the store. I attempted to communicate with Best Buy customer service and was assured it would be dealt with. He is an older man with a bad attitude every time I come in the store and he is flat out rude and back talks to customers like an ignorant man that hates his life. he should really work in the back away from customers but I guess Best Buy is okay with customers being disrespected. overall great store but make sure to avoid Ron if you want to leave happy. read more

Nice people. They always ask me for help when I come into the store. It's a smaller store, but they have the essentials

CREDIT BUILDERS BEWARE! To ship someone a duplicate item, double charge their Best Buy credit card, and then try to say it can't be returned when it was brought back still in the mailing envelope having never been opened AFTE a customer service ticket had been opened prior to its arrival is absurd. They ended up finally returning it with a bad attitude and still tried to sneakily charge a $30 fee, requiring me to go back AGAIN to fix this $400+ credit issue that THEY caused. The manager at this location is very effective at giving out a phone number for corporate, I wish the staff at this location had been more helpful than a sign or the website. I'm sure Ebay would love to be my credit building card, too bad because I do prefer in-person shopping. UPDATE; I really needed a part for my computer today, tried to go in and they literally won't let me in without a mask. Stood in my way and tried to block me while being really nasty. It's illegal to require someone to wear a mask, you have NO IDEA what medical conditions they might have. read more

Rating is -100 ( have to rate to post) Beware: will not stand behind what they sell!!!! Six months ago I bought a $1300.00 Sony Smart TV with a one year warranty at Best Buy Opelika. Big mistake! They will NOT stand behind their products. The "customer service" at time of purchase was very satisfactory; however, it was a different story when I had problems. First, black lines appeared across the screen plus multicolored lines vertically on left side of screen. I called Best Buy and was told they couldn't do anything that I'd have to contact Sony (brushed off by BB). I was on phone with Sony for over an hour (of course the man had a heavy foreign accent) - he was NO help saying nothing he could do - - - ? what good was the one year warranty??? He said I damaged the TV -- it sits on top a mantel no way I could have damaged!! I asked to speak to manager. Long story short, I was finally told to send copy of receipt and 3 pictures of TV screen. Reply: was damaged and they would do nothing; however, they would sell me another for $999.00!!!?? Asked to speak to someone else, she said there was no higher authority ( she also had heavy accent and hard to understand). Called Best Buy again; went back to store twice looking for manager Mr Garcia) keep being brushed off. He had just left; he was in meeting; he had just left for lunch. He never contacted me. I kept calling and finally he accepted and gave long spill nothing he could do. Suggested I call Sony even though I'd told him I'd already done that. Sooo sorry nothing he could do. Bottom line, I will NEVER buy another thing from Best Buy or Sony again!!!!! Beware, they will not stand behind what they sell. read more

Four years ago, I bought a phone here and a young lady by the name of Kayla had been very helpful so I thought I would go back to buy a new one for my wife. Bad idea. Mr Freckles was sitting at the "service" table. I told him we were looking for a new phone. He said, "I'm on break right now. Samsung phones are over there." So, we went looking and waited. He put away his laptop but still sat there. I went back and told him how happy we were with the service from Kayla a few years earlier and that we came back instead of going to the Verizon store. He then launched into a tirade against the Verizon store, show service, ride people etc. But, he still just sat there, we went back to look at phones, figuring he'd get up and come and help us. It's not as if he could not see us. After another fifteen minutes, we just walked out...tired of waiting for Mr Freckles. I'm guessing he did not want to go through the bother of activating a new phone. Last week, I had recommended the store to a friend looking for a phone because of my previous good experience. I'm sorry I did. He eventually went to the Verizon store and was happy with their service. read more

A great place ran by great people. I come here to get my screen replaced on warranty and they always replace it for me. This past time I went, I dropped $60 out of my pocket as I was walking out. The manager saw the cash on the ground, reviewed the cameras and saw it was me, and kept the money safe for when I came back. Honest people who do great work! read more

I ordered air pods from best buy. They told me that I will receive my items on April 7th. I did not receive my item after they took my money off my card I called the company this morning and they was extremely rude to me and told me that it was a delay because the item was out of stock until April 21st and they told me I couldn't cancel or get my money back until April 21st. They guy told me that he was going to hang up on me because he said best buy policy is if you order something you have 30 mins to call back and cancel a item. How am I suppose to know my item was out of stock if I didn't receive a email stating that. I furious bc I was treated like trash on the phone by a manager telling me well maam your not getting your money back until you get the item and then you can return it then. I will never ever order nothing else from this horrible place but they act like they have wonderful customer service when they really don't all they want is ppl money and after they get ppl money they treat customers like trash when you call in to the store. I still haven't received my money back nor have I received my item from this horrible place. People becareful ordering from this awful place because you will end up in the situation I am in today and I paided out 139.00 dollars yesterday.. Pissed to the max read more

I walked in one day and the guy at the entrance. He politely said hello how are you and I said unfortunately not too good. My phone won't turn on for some reason. He then replied with "oh you just need to charge it" ARE YOU SERIOUS DUDE?! You think I'd drive 20 minutes because I didn't charge my phone?! I just walked away because that was the dumbest most unhelpful person. Then I went to the mobile phone section and they very rudely said there's nothing we can do for you and handed back my phone and walked away. Really would give zero stars if I could. I have never written a yelp review before, but the past 2 weeks have been so miserable I wanted to write a warning: DO NOT use the Geek Squad there. There is a HUGE lack of workers and only maybe ONE of them even knows what she's doing. Brought my cracked Iphone in to be repaired and was told it could be fixed the next day and I would receive a call. Long story short, there was no communication, I didn't have a phone for A WEEK, and I wasted so much time driving to and from Best Buy. After a week and a talk to the manager who said she would take care of it, (did nothing and was just as unhelpful) I finally decided to pick up my Iphone which was "in repair". It was completely untouched and still in the same broken condition. Decided to just pick my phone up anyway and get my $200 back. I still had to wait in Best Buy for 3 hours for them to close "my tab" and give me my broken phone back. I would recommend using Asurion.com which shipped me a new phone overnight. read more
