Zero stars if i could.!!! Terrible service by the geek squad. They told me to get a part so they could install it in my laptop. So i ran around and found the part and tried calling them to make an appointment to bring it in. They never answered their phone despite multiple attempts on my part. Then when I brought it in they said they would not touch it because "it might break" and claimed they never said they would fix it which is total fabrication. Very aggravating.... but i found someone else who took care of the problem and never even charged a cent. Go to Emax Computers off Parmer if you want the job done right and stay away from these lightweights. They have their heads up their proverbial a...es. With preponderance of one star reviews for this place I wonder how they even stay in business. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Always helpful. I've seen a few folks wait and they seem slightly under-staffed, but their reps are generally very knowledgeable. I had a dent in a washer I picked up (not their fault--the delivery folks) and they PROMPTLY replaced and had the other returned (and only a few days for the replacement, not a week). We've been thinking about buying a new TV for awhile. Costco has typically been a great outlet. Not this go 'round. We went to Best Buy and worked with Richie Longoria who represents their Magnolia dept. Richie and another associate answered our voluminous questions and showed us all of the models we were curious about. It was a great experience. Richie sold us the TV, scheduled a delivery to accommodate our schedule and then personally delivered when he realized the holiday prevented their normal staff from delivering. Worst customer service! Received headphones for Christmas and wanted to exchange them for more expensive wireless ones of the same brand, didn't have a receipt so they said they would give me $12 less than they sold for. I decided I'd wait and see my mom (who gave them to me)could track it down... We couldn't so I went the next day and they then said they said they wouldn't exchange them at all without a receipt... This store needs to be shut down... I hate this store. They let thieves use my BestBuy credit card to purchase more than $3,000 of products without checking their IDs. I also found out that these thieves went back twice and never got their IDs checked. Because of this negligence, i had to go thru so much to get my credit report cleaned. Be careful with your BestBuy credit card..apparently anyone can use it. On top of this, they made mistakes on posting payments and charged me an additional of $400 on interest. Good thing i caught all this and canceled the card. read more

I owe all of the staff a rave review. Though the particular deal that I came to buy was sold out, they worked hard to find a solution for us. Employees went above and beyond my expectations to make my shopping experience great, even with a 2 week old infant in arms. Specifically, Pat and Logan were great, as well as a couple of gentlemen whose names I wasn't able to catch. They even made sure I was able to be comfortable while feeding my baby, which was such a relief, and so kind. read more

After having been a customer of this store for many years, we will not be returning EVER. We tried to exchange an unopened video game 2 days after Christmas. We were told that we would get credit for the lowest price ever marked on the item. Their return policies and warranties stink at best. We have faced this problem with televisions, refrigerators, and other items. I plan to find a retail outlet who actually wants our business and cares about customer service after the sale. The Geek Squad at the Best Buy in Bee Caves is nothing but a racket. I purchased a MacBook Pro from Best Buy in July. Two days ago it stopped booting up. I took the computer to the store and they set me up with a Geek Squad staffer. I was told the computer was under warranty and they would perform diagnostics to see if they could fix the problem. Had to leave it and they said they would contact me in 24-48 hours. Two days later I got a call telling me they could not find a quick fix to the problem but that they would reload the operating system if I would sign up Tech Support and pay for backing up my files. All for the low price of $285.00. When I reminded the fellow the computer was under warranty he replied it was a software problem and the software was not under warranty. I then replied that the computer was only four months old, was under warranty and since the operating system was pre-installed by Apple, they should either fix it under the warranty or replace the computer. The fellow then replied that if was my fault for corrupting the software and that they had no obligation to fix or replace the computer. I was not happy at all that I was now being accused of damaging the computer by the staffer. I asked for the store manager and requested Best Buy either fix the computer under the warranty or replace it. He said he needed to speak with the Geek Squad guy first. The manager came back an offered to reinstall the operating system for $150.00. I walked out with my computer and went directly to the Apple Store at the local mall. The tech person at the Genius Bar ran diagnostics right there as I watched. He determined there was a glitch with the hard drive and offered to replace the hard drive at no charge because it was under warranty. He did the fix and didn't charge me a dime. It was not a software problem at all. The operating system was fine. As a result of the lousy and insulting service by the Geek Squad at Best Buy, I will never again buy a computer at their store. In fact I will probably never buy another thing from their store unless absolutely necessary. If you are going to buy a Mac or any Apple product, buy it directly from an Apple store. Don't get screwed over by the Geek Squad at Best Buy. read more

I'm writing this review because I saw the bad reviews from last year and there must have been a change in management because the employees are friendly, available and knowledgeable. I went in recently and everyone was helpful and were able to answer questions about products. The product we bought worked well and was exactly what we needed. Possibly the worst shopping experience I've ever had. Bought 3 items (fridge, range and microwave) during Memorial Day weekend and fridge still hasn't arrived. Delivery stood me up 4 times already...claiming it's GE fauls. No one understands or can explain why this is happening. The worst part, however, has been dealing with the unprofessional, annoyed, rude employees. One of them actually said "hey, I get paid 11 bucks and hour, I can't help you" while the manager said "this problem is above my payleve, no idea what's going on". Evidently they all have an issue with their paychecks and use it as a reason to treat the customer terrible. I've reached out via Twitter and called their Customer Service lines and nothing works. Last recommendation I got is "just cancel the order and go buy it somewhere else" but I wasted the sales event of the weekend + rebates included for buying multiple items. Stay away and buy online or at a different store. If you have an issues with your purchase, you'll regret it. read more

I went in to ask about an issue with a laptop and was told, rather routinely and dismissively that the motherboard was dead and it was definitely not worth fixing. I was asked if I'd like to go look at new laptops but that repair was going to easily be over $300.00. I decided to go elsewhere and found it was a simple issue that was repaired for under $100. I understand that the assessment the Best Buy technician gave me was very brief and introductory but I find it lacking integrity that his opinion was both inaccurate and seemingly self assured. I would be very hesitant to ask for any advice from this Best Buy in the future. read more

So when buying a laptop I knew exactly what I wanted and the guy that got it for me was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the next day when I went to geek squad because of issues on the laptop they were the complete opposite...though I do get the strong feeling that the two people I spoke with just had no clue about computers. To help further I needed to pay them $200 for the geek squad service...which I refused to ...and ended up calling someone who explained what to do and I fixed the issue in 2 minutes. I think having a geek squad is great...but only if the people working there actually have a clue about computers, as of now my impression is negative. I was also told that I could not return the laptop when I spoke with geek squad as they do not take back laptops with defects...I'm sorry, I had not even had it a day (let alone even used it besides turning it on and starting to put the antivirus on when the issues started popping up) and you wont help fix it without $200 and I can't return it? great customer service... I am sure other best buys have better geek squads and perhaps I happened to get the employees who just started or something...but still-not a great experience. We were so frustrated and disappointed with their service. We installed house theater with this Best Buy. After a 4.5 months the universal remote control stoped working properly, but we could not get anyone to fix it. We could get ONLY numerous promises. What made us angrier is what happened recently. We brought our laptop for repairs. The store Geek Squad told us that it was not a major issue, and it would cost about $140 - $150 to fix it; they just needed to send SVC for COD repairs; If the price was more that estimated price, they would call us for authorization. Not body even called us since they sent the laptop until today we got email asking us to call SVC. We called them and were told that they fixed the laptop and the total price is over $550. We could buy a new laptop using that money. We asked Josh on the other end of the phone what they did and what parts they replaced to cost so much money, Josh couldn't even find for what they charged us. That sounds unbelievable! We have been Best Buy customers for years and have been purchasing electronics and cell phones from their stores. We had no idea that this company's service is SO BAD. We told ourselves - that's it! Good bye, Best Buy. We are just waiting for our computer to be delivered back safely and intact, and of course, not repaired. We refused that service. read more

September 7th I purchased over $7000. of Kitchenaid and LG appliances with a 5 year Geek Squad warranty and scheduled a delivery date of Nov. 2nd. I called the store a week before the scheduled delivery to make sure everything was good for that date and was told there were no problems. By the 2nd I did not receive a call or a delivery and spent 2.5 hours on the phone with Best Buy customer service, the store, and XPO delivery. They re-scheduled for the 4th. On the 4th, the same thing...no call and no delivery. That day I was on the phone for 4 hours and was told by Fabian, the Bee Cave store manager, that he would work on it and call me later in the day. He never called, I called him and all I got was we can re-schedule for the 9th, then it was the 14th, then the 24th. At the end of the day he cancelled my order but still charged me $423. With all the time I spent on the phone I talked to about 8 different individuals with one customer service agent calling me a liar. When I tried to call the CEO, they hung up on me. There was no Black Friday, I had completely paid for my order and had set a delivery date for 2 months out. There is simply no excuse for this type of beyond horrible customer service. The next day I called a Pacific appliance inside a different Best Buy and completely re-ordered everything and they were able to get my appliances to me within 2 weeks. Don't order any appliances from Best Buy in Bee Cave and I would recommend only using Pacific sales if you absolutely need to order from Best Buy read more
