Went to this BB on a Friday evening to purchase an Apple watch Ultra 2. I made sure it's in stock by checking availability from BB website. In the Apple section of the store, I requested an associate to get me the item. He came back after 5 minutes with product when we both realized it was the large size. I needed the S/M size that wasn't available in the store. The associate convinced me to order the watch from the store. He did a price match with Amazon to lower the price of the watch by $25. It also included one year of Best Buy Plus membership, a value of $49. It turned to be an excellent deal ordering the watch from the store. I stumbled into this Best Buy on a good Monday. Many of the Best Buys that I've visited in the past always seem a bit chaotic. This location was clear and almost empty. The associates I encountered were attentive and helpful with recommendations. Although I didn't find what I needed, I can see that they have a good selection of all the latest gadgets. Never buy anything from these guys. I don't get why best buy in NJ is so horrible. They are better in NY and Miami. These people make you wait forever to buy anything. Then everything we bought from them had problems - Smart TV makes buzzing noise and wifi connection doesn't work. Had to call many times for someone to come out to repair it. Eventually the TCL TV was replaced but even the replacement is faulty but now we were told the 1 year warranty is up. Computer we paid them to set up could never get Microsoft Office to work. We called and had to wait on line forever only to get disconnected. If you can a person after your wait, he/she will transfer you all over the place and then you will get disconnected. If you get a person, he/she will complain about just getting minimum wage and won't help. The online chat is even more pathetic. After saying we would never give them out business again, we made a mistake being sucked in by sales for computers. I thought ordering online or on the phone would be better than going to the store given our bad experience with the store. Wrong. My son and I ordered a monitor and desktop computer in September 2023. The computer arrived without the monitor. We waited. Still no monitor. Then I called and was told the order was cancelled since they ran out of stock. I was told to reorder over the phone and pay extra for expedited next day delivery. Still no monitor arrived. I called and was transferred to 3 people only to be told the monitor had been delivered when I told them we never received it. I was told I could not get a refund for the expedited delivery fee since the monitor was delivered on time even if it wasn't delivered to us. So now we are waiting for it to arrive in two days but I am not sure if it will arrive. I am surprised they are in business. I doubt they will be in business for long. Lousy service. Zero customer service! If It was possible I would give them 1/2 star. Their name should be "Worst Buy" not "Best Buy". Miraculously on Saturday, on October 14, 2023, my son's monitor finally arrived but we didn't get the refund of the fee for expedited shipping that was supposed to have the monitor arrive on October 10, 2023. Ordering a TV from BB was THE BIGGEST mistake. Ever. Our living room one, 8 years old, died on us the last Monday in Sept. Went the next day to buy a new one. Arranged for pick up of old one and setup of new. New Sony 70" delivered and the screen was cracked. Ordered another. This is now October 15. It has yet to be delivered. Reschedule again and again. I ordered a gas dryer. My delivery time frame was 11-3pm. As we weren't home until 10:45 to wait for our delivery, between 11-3pm. I come to find out the delivery men arrived at 10:17am. So I looked back at my camera to verify this, and what i see is ludicrous he walks up my steps never knocks or rings bell took 2 selfies of himself to show he showed up (his proof) but mine is better because cameras don't lie. He never attempted to knock. And just left! Now I have to wait till tomorrow to see when the next available day is. And they don't tell you a time until the day before so you just have to take the day off from work and sit around all day. I will be sharing my video on all social media. Just pathetic. I went to this location to speak to the Geek Squad about doing a home installation for a Nakamichi AV receiver a Nakamichi Disc Player a pair of Elac bookshelf speakers and a 55 inch TLC Roku Smart TV. The woman at the geek squad said oh we don't do that; go the the Audio Visual department. I then went there and took 15 minutes to explain this and the guy took down the information, entered it his computer and gave me a printout. He said you'll be contacted in 24-48 hours. I got a text two days later having me call a Best Buy phone number. I spoke to 2 different people on the phone and the last guy quoted me 6-800 dollars for this project which basically is just wiring everything properly. Well I came in here for one item. I came in for an HDMI to USB connector so I can connect my phone directly to my TV but they did not have it. It took a associate less than a minute to check all the other stores for me and offered to have it ordered online which was great but I needed it right away so I had to go elsewhere. I placed an order for store pick-up and when I arrived I was told they have my purchase they just have to unload label it and it should be ready in 45minutes to and hour. Then I was emailed 30 minutes later saying my product would be delayed for several days! Just avoiding shopping with this business and at the very least only order for delivery never store pick up. None of the employees seem motivated and will only give you the run around instead of genuinely trying to help you. read more

Fraud Alert! This Best Buy runs a merchandise theft scam in which defective or unwanted merchandise paid for and purchased online, picked up at the store, but then returned to the store is NOT PROCESSED AS RETURNED! So the refund is not processed to your charge card, while the store keeps and does whatever it wants with the returned merchandise, constituting THEFT and FRAUD! After spending approximately 45 minutes at the Bergen Town Center Best Buy, and dealing with at least 6 different employees, two claiming to be managers, none were willing or able to process the refund back to our charge card---despite the merchandise being returned in the box it came in less than one week after pick-up! The store refuses to provide the name of its General Manager (if there is one) or of Best Buy's Northern NJ territory manager, and tells customers to call the police if they aren't satisfied! This is disgraceful, horrible, illegal treatment of innocent customers. We just want our money back! read more

I do not suggest you buy anything from the computer department. I purchased two computers over the past 5 years and both times I worked with a sales rep on the floor. They had a decent knowledge and were helpful but I did have to do a lot of the work myself. Both times when I was checking out, a supervisor took over and tried overwhelmingly to push additional products like software, extended warranties, protection programs etc. The first time I declined all offers and was annoyed. The second time the supervisor insisted that my Dell computer did not come with the microsoft office software. I pushed back and should have stuck with my gut, but at the end I agreed to buy the basic plan thinking I could return if not needed. THAT WAS A MISTAKE!! The computer did have the the software and when I tried to return it they told me that they DO NOT take software returns. Told me I had to contact Microsoft but they have the same policy. My husband surprised me with a brand new Macbook Air for Christmas. I told him to return it because I really didn't think it was necessary so he did just that and returned it yesterday. Well... I changed my mind and decided I could use the MACbook so my hubby and I decided to go back to the same location and try to repurchase it. The salesperson (did not get a name) was very unhelpful. We requested that he check with a manager to possibly purchase again at the original price. The store did not seem busy but after at least 30 minutes of the salesperson going back and forth, asking numerous questions ie: was it purchased here? Was it returned here? Was it opened? When was it purchased ? Returned? The ENTIRE time he had the original AND return receipt. He even said he believed they had the same one available (which was never opened by the wAy). Again, after at least 30 minutes he said that his manager stated that they could NOT honor the original price we paid. I am disappointed not ONLY because they could not honor the previous sale price but because the gentleman was clueless, unhelpful AND mainly wasted our time!!! Why go through ALL of the questions and back and forth when the original price was NOT going to be honored??? A complete waste of time! BEST BUY MOBILE SUCKS! Or should I say, their customer service sucks which means they suck even worse. After ordering my iPhone 6 online at BestBuy.com I can honestly say that I would rather have jammed a pen in my eye than dealt with them. Needed the phone in a hurry and paid the $25+ for overnight shipping. Checked the online shipping status and noticed that the phone had not yet been shipped. Found the phone at a local retailer Called BestBuy to cancel the order and was told that it was already packed up and ready to go but that I could refuse the package. Fast forward a few hours later and no shipping info so I again called. Told that the phone not only was not ready for shipping but that I would have to wait 3 weeks to receive it and they still couldn't cancel the order. Called the local Verizon store and found out that Best Buy had already put through the contract and that I would have to wait to receive the phone. According to Verizon, this was not allowed. So now, unable to cancel my BestBuy order, I was essentially screwed. FAST FORWARD TO TODAY: BestBuy says that phone was shipped to me yesterday overnight and that I should get it today. Located the tracking number that they gave me and found that not only hadn't it been shipped but the tracking number is for ground shipping. To summarize: even if they did ship it yesterday, and they didn't, it would still take over a week to arrive. Really? 3 hours on the phone with them and counting. I will NEVER EVER EVER do business with them again. Horrible customer service. read more

Although I had a great experience purchasing with Vinny, everything after that went down hill! I purchased a tv, a mount and "professional" mounting service. I was overcharged for the service $199 instead of $50. They're scheduled to arrive from 3-6. I didn't hear from the individual coming to mount my tv until 526pm. I asked him if he was here, he said no. He had to go to Best Buy to go pick up the tv. (It's 15 minutes away from my house) He then took until 7:15pm to arrive. They start to assemble the mount and tv, I noticed it was flipped over which is normal. I saw him bang my wall with the mount, by accident staring somewhere else being careless. I heard some noises so I went to the bedroom to look and they tried to tell me the tv came broken. It was now 7:49pm and he tried to convince me to keep the tv because Best Buy would give me a new one. I DECLINED despite of their policy and told him to call the manager. She didn't even ask to speak with me, or apologize. She just told him to take it back. As they were leaving, I told the young man that he should've looked at the tv first and he said sorry but you're not the only one this happens to. (As If that would make it any better?) I called customer service and the lady was kind enough to tell me that they didn't even report the tv was broken, they just wrote that a reschedule needs to be set for mounting!! This places service sucks !!! Don't buy from here or if you do don't purchase the mounting service you'll have some 17 year old coming over to waste your time. Ridiculous, they said they one sell one computer that is "underwater" to one customer only. What kind of business practice is that, if you advertise it, you have to sell the item at that price to whoever or at what price is there. They only do that to get you in the door, such a scam. We called the 1-800 Best Buy number and got an even more disrespectful customer service guy on the phone who was extremely condescending and made it feel like we should be lucky to shop there and spend thousands of dollars of our hard earned money with Best Buy. Yeah, that's a great business philosophy. They lost me as a customer today. I plan to return about 15,000 dollars worth of computes which are still return policy window, even though we now have to reinstall everything on new computer. It is best not to give Best Buy a nickel of our money. We are ordering the same computer, same price from Amazon. Another way Best Buy scams you is that they sometimes get their "own model number" so you can't look it up on Amazon for price matching or find an equivalent, which can confuse customers and give Best Buy salespeople the upper hand, even to the point of guilting you for asking or wanting to compare. Usually we have had great purchase/delivery/geek squad appts. Recent purchase was delivered but two subsequent geek squad appts to set up/equipment were cancelled either day before or day of appts. I bought a laptop in 2015 from a Best Buy in NYC, it was piece of junk BUT it lasted me 2 years. Ironically, exactly 1 month after my best guy geek squad insurance expired. Now NJ, bought a Hp laptop, no insurance, it literally died while I was using it without any warning 6 months in. Yeah I know, it's an HP manufacturing issue. I went to Best Buy to see how much it will cost me to have them fix it and this scam artist was trying to sell me a new computer without even mentioning that HP laptops have a year warranty from day 1. I sat there in utter disbelief and disgust that instead of getting customer care, I was taken advantaged of. PLEASE DO NOT BUY 1 YEAR IF WARRANTY. Most manufacturers already have a 1 year warranty with purchase at no additional cost. Beware of shopping in #Best Buy, any of them. I purchased a washing machine in the Paramus #Bergen Towne Center store. I was under the impression it was a new machine. After #Best Buy canceled my delivery, without notice mid you, I came to find out they were selling me an open box machine. I called customer service, or better phrased disservice, and was told that I could get my refund after 7 pm when the truck returns. I went to the store and spoke with Shah, who claimed to be the store manager. He was supposed to call me at 9:30 on 3/2/24. As if this post I have not heard from him, I am really not surprised either. Today, I called customer disservice and was told I would have to wait 48 hours for the order to be canceled for a refund, and I would need to deal with the store. Do not use curbside pickup. It took about 35 mins to get my order. The lady at the door was probably the least helpful person I've ever encountered. She kept telling me the curbside labeled parking spot I was in was not actually curbside pickup. A security employee had to correct her after I pointed at the large curbside pickup sign several times. Also, their phone was not accepting calls, so I couldn't get anyone else to help.
