DECEMBER, 8 Best Buy has terrible Customer Service. We cannot locate anyone to help us with the delivery of our TV and accessories. There is no way to call the Bradenton, Florida Best Buy directly and speak with a manager. We are elderly with ambulatory issues and had to drive into the Bradenton store Monday because we couldn't get our problem resolved over the phone. The manager, Chris was very cordial and polite and said he would forward our problem to a local team that handles problems like ours. Said we hear from them in one hour. In five hours we heard from someone by the name of Sam and told us he'd call back with a date for delivery...It is now DECEMBER 19 and we still haven't heard from Sam....Horrible! Horrible. They are very short staffed. They are very polite, but they also can be misleading. Their advice is not always sound and their scheduling is really bad. We are working Seniors so we are on the road a lot and go to Best Buy Stores all over West Coast FL. By far, Bradenton store is our favorite go to location. Yesterday we worked with Phil and Kimberly of the Geek Squad. While trying to accommodate other walk in customers they worked on our cell phones for two hours. They simply did not give up also having in deal with Verizon in the process. Phil even worked past his shift departure time. They were not going to let us leave the store until our phones were working perfectly and we much appreciate their help and service. Best Buy has had to reestablish themselves since Covid and we have to shout that because of Phil and Kimberly it was a great experience in the Bradenton store. read more

We bought a stove on 7/4/25. Scheduled delivery on 7/9. We paid for install and haul away . On 7/8 a friend took my stove so I called Geek Squad ( their only contact for service ) to cancel the haul away . I confirmed that my delivery will take place as scheduled. The next day we waited during the four hour window 11:30-3:30pm . no one called to update us . At 3:30 I called geek squad again . was told it's on the truck but driver ran into traffic . Should be there in 1/2 br. Needless to say not there 1 hr later . 3rd call. Again reassured abd to give it till 7 pm . In that time we could not even call store for help because they don't take customer service calls . We had to go there and file a complaint . Today someone got back to us and said "oh when you cancelled haul away the appointment was cancelled ??? I said I specifically made sure with rep . He made a mistake !!! So now what ?? They tell me they will escalate delivery but I just got an alert that it's 7 days away . So now I have no stove , have to eat out and through no fault of mine ... they don't even admit or say they are sorry . THERE US NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL !!! Talk about a terrible experience. Let's paint the picture; I the only African American in the store, gets ignored by the entire staff. Terrible service even when store is not busy. Went here today at around 4:00 pm to pick up a microwave I ordered online. Checked in at curbside and waited for about 15 mins before my husband finally decided to go in. Went up to the counter, and the teenage-looking boy wasn't aware that anyone was outside waiting and was not friendly at all. Didn't apologize for the wait or inconvenience. He finally was able to scan my order, grabbed our huge microwave box and slammed it on the counter "Here you go". Didn't offer to grab a cart or put it in a cart himself--as is the norm for large boxes in every Best Buy we've been to. This store seems like a lazy teenage hangout spot, and would greatly benefit from customer service training for all employees. Never going to this store again. read more

Taken advantage of by Best Buy and the Geek Squad yet again - DO NOT TRUST the SHADY WARRANTIES. I purchased a 75" Sony TV in 2021 and elected to add the 5 year Geek Squad extended warranty, which is quite expensive, with the understanding it would cover any manufacturer defect for 5 years. When you purchase this warranty in the store the salespeople assure you on Best Buy's stellar reputation and how they will be there when you need them. This has absolutely not been my experience with Best Buy on this warranty or on others in the past. This one really is absurd. When I Returned home the other day my 75" TV had fallen from the wall bracket. It was obvious the nuts built into the TV failed - the bracket was still on the wall the nuts on the TV are stripped and the TV is shattered on the ground. I call and finally get an appointment for a member of the Geek Squad to come. They provide me a 12 hour appointment window 7am-7pm. Mat Taw arrived and it was obvious he couldn't care less about my situation - his only job was to deny any claim - which he promptly did. While it was obvious the nuts are all stripped he blamed that on installation and disavowed any responsibility. He was condescending and rude. When asked for a business card he acted as though this was completely abnormal and no one should ever question his authority. While my warranty is in effect for another year and a half I can say beyond the shadow of any doubt, the Best Buy warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on. It is pathetic when loyal Best Buy customers get this type of horrible service after purchasing their extended warranty's. Yesterday I purchased an "out of box", higher end, Samsung 55" TV which was hanging inconspicuously in a corner of the store. It turned out to be the exact size and model I had just looked at (brand new) in a center aisle. Buying the O.O.B. unit would save me about $270, and it was listed as in excellent condition. I made the purchase along with a two year warranty, but after I installed it I noticed a slight, but noticeable scratch on the screen itself. I thought at first it had the protective film Still on, but that wasn't the case. Oh, my! I went back to BB today and spoke with a manager Joanna, who could not have been more accommodating and professional in handling the issue. She located another returned unit (still in the box) which happened to be the exact TV as I had purchased! No fuss, no muss!! Joanna not only made an even exchange of the two items, but arranged delivery of new and removal of the old TV's in less than a week!! The whole thing just freaked me out. This is a mixed review. The guy at the cashier station was wonderful. Calling corporate to park and deliver to me refused to help, but when Ivwent in, the cashier had it ready already. Do NOT use these people to install your car stereo. I did it once and they botched the job. Stupidly, on my part, I gave them a 2nd chance and the 2nd time was 100x worse than the first. I waited 3.5 hours (was supposed to take 2 max) to get "this": 1) radio doesn't work 2) dash/console pieces flopping around (not closed up) 3) they broke my center console 4) installer said "Do you listen to the radio much?" as I'm leaving. I say "I'll turn it on and try it." He says: "It won't work in here in this metal building." I try it the next day...it's not connected to the antenna I could go on but you get the picture. These people are incompetent and dishonest. If you hate yourself, then give them your business. read more

I shop at Best Buy all the time. So much I am a Platinum member in the rewards program. Today will not ad to my rewards though as I did not purchase anything. Stood around waiting 30 minutes for a sales member that disappeared as soon as he saw me walk to the TV section. I asked a manager for help and they told me they could not get a remote for the TV I was interested in checking out. Asked a Hispanic employee for help he acted like he didn't know English and then he helped a Hispanic guy that just walked in. The manager said he is there only to help Hispanics??? What ever!! I stood around for about 30 min before finally leaving. The sad thing is I think they are more knowledgeable and helpful at Walmart. YES WALMART!?!?! The Bradenton Best buy is on its way to another box store failure with type of customer service. It's really sad that I feel I would have been better off ordering online anywhere but Best Buy in Bradenton FL for a TV .. I walked through the door and was greeted by a person asking what I was looking for and I told him a monitor. He told me where they were and called someone to come over and help me. When the person showed up I showed him the monitor I wanted on my phone and he told me they didn't have one. I pointed to another Samsung monitor and asked how much that one was and he told me it was on sale for $219 so I picked it up and went to the register to buy it. It came up $599 I replied to the lady that the person helping me said it was $219 and I showed her what monitor I wanted and she said she could have it delivered the next day so I paid for it and the next morning I got the email saying there's been a delay and I will be receiving it on October 1st. I call the corporate office and they put notes in the computer that I was coming for a refund and when I got there they told me there was nothing they could do because it's was being shipped and until I get it there was no way to get my money back. At the time it wasn't even packed at a best buy store. I used my gas to go get a monitor then I called corporate and they told me to go get my money back so I wasted more gas to go get my money back for them to tell me sorry I can't help you and then I had to use more gas when I got the product to go get my money back. I always shopped at best buy but I will not be returning to the best buy in Bradenton on 14th st west and Cortez. Gas is not cheap and it was a wast of a lot of time read more

U can't get ahold of this company they make it extremely hard. Tried to call corporate headquarters to file complaint and got an off shore person in a different country. Problem is that there sales dept sold us a tv and bracket to hang tv on the wall. We hired the geek squad to install. The day of the install a sub contractor for the geek squad called and said the bracket had not come in that I needed to re schedule tried to get ahold of them and got an automated answering service finally got ahold of a manager and come to find out the part is in. Still no call back from manager to get it installed. Won't use this company ever again. My advice is to stay clear of them and save ur self some headaches go some place else. read more

If you ever want to witness the epitome of what extremely bad customer service is please ask for Juan. He never says hello or thank you. Everything you teach to a person in customer service is totally not present when dealing with Juan. He is rude and never gives eye contact and you will never hear the words "Thank you" out of his mouth. Instead he carries himself like he does not want you in his presence. I'm disabled and don't get around very well. My computer is pretty much all I've got. My old one crashed, so I bought a new computer from this store, got it home and hooked up - can't get any sound. I've called the store 15 times - spending over 20 minutes each time - trying to get help. No one even answers the phone. It goes to a "Please wait for a member" message and no one ever picks up! And I was even willing to pay them to send out their geeksquad to fix. What a joke. Does anyone even work at this store??? Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! Well we read reviews and despite the two stars we decided it was the closest place to go for an Apple certified person to sell us a battery for iPhone. We had diagnostics done with Apple online 2 nights before and made an appointment with Best Buy for today as suggested by Apple support. After two hours nothing was accomplished we left with no battery supposedly they could not run the diagnostic test properly so we are at square zero. Unfortunate and frustrating. read more

I have had several protection plans miraculously disappear from my accounts and since the opening of the store their software will not update my phone number. This is after multiple attempts at the store and on my account accessed personally online. I returned a Samsung Tablet months ago to be repaired or replaced through the protection plan that I purchased and now my tablet as well as the protection plan is nowhere to be found. I have been on hold for over 2 hours waiting for someone to help me! 7-7-2018 & 7-8-2108 I went both days and each time I got attitude with the person I was asking questions, whether it was about where products where located or why a discount I had received was split us into a 33% of the total discount to each of the three items I bought. It bothered me so much still on the second day that I returned them! I was pleasant and thanked both of them. Even though I muttered otherwise to myself at both the competency of them explaining their answers or comprehending my questions. The first gentleman stated well you walked right past that stuff on the way through, well actually I hadn't but I'm sure he felt better for belittling me. Horrible experience, I went to check cellphone plans and mobile rep, told me that if I changed to AT&T my bill for two new phones will be $170, so I did after a month I received a bill of $287 a month I contacted AT&T and they told me that the Best Buy mobile rep told us the wrong info that is nothing they can do, so I contacted Best Buy and Cristina the mobile manager told me that there is nothing she can do about it.
