I ordered a product online to pick up. I signed into the when I arrived to let them know I was at the locate waiting for my product. The app said the notification wasn't working. So, I went inside. I was told to go to the quick order pick up desk. I waited for 10 minutes while 4 staff were standing by the exit chatting. I was finally helped by a young man. The product I received was not what was explained on the product when I ordered it. So, I went back inside with my product. I walked back to the computers as the product I ordered is for computers. A man was helping a customer. So, I waited. Another store employee, with a best buy shirt, walked by the computer section. I asked her if she worked in the computer area. She said "I work with geek squad." So, I asked her if she could help me with a computer question. She responded "No, I'm with a customer" and walked away from me. So, I found the product that I was looking for and went to the front of the store to return the product I ordered earlier and picked up 5 minutes ago. I was helped by the same young man who gave me the product 5 minutes ago. He asked me if I had a receipt. When I got the product from him earlier I asked about getting a receipt and he said "it's the barcode, you don't need one." Then I reminded him that he just told me that I didn't need one. Then I offered my barcode received when I ordered the product initially. He cashed me out and I left the store. This was terrible customer service. I will never waste my time going to Best Buy in the future! read more

I will never set foot in this store again. 2 times I have stood there and waited patiently to buy something (30 mins to purchase a TV the second time) and finally someone might come by to put me in "queue" to only see people that came in after me get helped. This place is really a mixed bag, some services really suck and others are okay. My wife and I recently stopped by to look at phones, to buy printer ink, and to look at digital cameras. GOOD: The sales staff in the various areas were available, very friendly, and they seemed to earnestly try to help out. The store is also very beautiful, huge, fully stocked, and organized nicely. It's a good place to buy something if you need it immediately. BAD: As a previous review mentioned, we literally had one of the sales staff read the bullet points on the stickers to us for the digital cameras. Duh! I can do that myself! If you don't know about cameras, just say so, dude. WORSE: The installation department sucks! I recently bought a Cadillac Escalade for my daughter and it had a Viper system (installed by the previous owner at this Best Buy location). The seller told us that "something" was draining the battery dead. Guess what? It was the stupid Mickey Mouse Viper system! It's a crappy product and an even worse installation job. And if you have a warranty, installing this thing voids your warranty and your dealer won't touch it! So I had Slim's Auto Clinic remove the Viper and install all of the wiring back to stock original condition. And...? Electrical problem solved! But photos speak louder than words. Checkout my photo to see the cancerous crappy product, the bad wiring splicing techniques, and the monstrosity that was removed from the Caddy! Overall, I think the Best Buy brick & mortar selling model may no longer be relevant. It's nice to go in and look at stuff and to ask questions (and have some person read the labels to you). Upon entry into store the person in the front aske what we came in for and we told him we are going to fix my cell phone. He responded with a voice that felt like he was interrogating us. Asked if we had an appointment and what kind of repair. Told him to replace the protective screen. He made the comment that they do all kinds of repairs and if was something else we would need an appointment. We proceeded to walk up to the cell phone service desk and someone at the desk asked what we needed. Told them we needed to have the protective glass replace. They said they don't work for the store that they work For Samsung. So why did they ask us if we needed help? They said we would have to talk to someone with a blue shirt on but tried to get us to look for the screen protector. But I told them we did not know what brand it was. He insisted on bringing us over to that area but again I said that the blue shirt folks would get it for us after they looked up account. A very strange interaction with this person! Finally was told that the blue shirt person was busy with a customer, well we just waited for them. This person was also a strange situation when he said this may be a problem. I asked why and he said he did not think they carried that screen for a dinosaur of a phone., nice comment to a customer! Finally got it repaired after a very odd visit to this Best Buy! read more

Went to get the Samsung galaxy s4 tablet so I could get the fortnite galaxy skin for my step son with the case it was $850 and it was hard to get someone to help you get one because there locked up so you need someone to get one for you it took a while to get help. Disappointed!!! I went in to buy a large flat screen tv and 45 minutes later walked away with no tv. I had a good idea of what I wanted but had a couple of questions. There was a salesperson at the desk talking with a customer. I listened but they were not talking about TVs so I looked at some flatscreens. I found one that seemed to have a good picture but there was one in a box on the floor. I headed back to the desk to see the sales guy and caught his eye. He said he was busy and it would be awhile. He was a bit rude about it and he walked away with the customer?/friend he was talking with earlier. We looked for another employee and found two at the front of the store talking with each other. I asked if we could get some help. At this point we were at 35 minutes. They said they would find someone for me. Finally the guy from the TV department showed up. He said he would get to us but first he had to help somebody else on the phone and it might be awhile. Now I have wasted 45 minutes and I am done. I realize the millions that Best Buy saves by hiring part time 15 yr. olds for $3.21 an hour, but still, they should know something about anything... ANYTHING... BUT IT DOES AT BEST BUY.... I do credit Best Buy for having new CD's and Movies and DVD's the day they come out, usually on sale or ridiculously cheap the release day... I think I got Rush's "Rush in Rio" multi CD and DVD set together for like $30 on the opening day... I'd recommend Best Buy for that I guess... read more

This store is the worst low selection but that wasn't the worst part.The employees are so aggressive that they stalk you like a lion hunting a gazelle in the Savannah.Then they pounce on you unexpectedly in every single area of the store.We were just there and at least 4 or 5 employees bothered us within about a 5 minute period.Do not go there in person if you don't have to unless you like being hunted like prey. read more

My husband and I went into best-buy last Tuesday night to kill time and look around. We have been wanting a new fridge but couldn't afford the style we wanted yet so we were just looking. The sales associate Ross R saw us looking at one of the open box models. He stopped over and answered questions when needed and even went the extra mile to show us what we thought were issues with the finish just needed to be cleaned off which he did. He gave us our options and let us decide whether it fit for us or not. Not once did he strong arm or pressure us! We ended up purchasing the fridge for an amazing deal due to it being an open box model. As we continue to replace our appliances I will definitely go back to best-buy to see Ross. I ordered a part for my car stereo, and due to multiple errors on Best Buy's behalf resulted in my part being missing. After several weeks without my part, I called the store to learn that the part was shipped to the wrong city! After spending hours on the phone with Best Buy customer service and the UPS, I called the Coon Rapids Best Buy back to report that I needed a new part sent to the correct address. The Best Buy Coon Rapids General Manager, Terence Jamison, complied and had the part sent to my correct address, however, when I then told him how disappointed I was with the service at Best Buy, he told me it wasn't his fault. He then laughed at me and told me that there was nothing else he could do for me. It was at this point when I told him that I was going to write a negative review about him and his Best Buy store. He immediately began to backpedal and apologized for the poor service I had received at his Best Buy. For me it was too late for apologies after being laughed at for making a complaint about service in his store. I am not the type of person who is interested in receiving free items or gift cards in exchange for being humiliated. I simply told him he had been extremely rude and hung up the phone. On top of that, even having the part reordered, I was told it will take two weeks before I will even see the part. Why would I ever go back to Best Buy when I can literally order the same part on Amazon and have it at my doorstep the next day? Totally unacceptable. How does Best Buy expect to compete with the Internet with horrible service, a store that doesn't even have what you are looking for, and slow shipping? I do not know the answer to that question, but good luck to you Best Buy, you will need it. read more

So disappointed. Dad bought a kitchen aid mixer for mom's birthday together with tv and other things spending over $1000. And when mom decided a different color would suit her kitchen better and wanted to exchange it, they said its past the 15 day day return policy (11 days late) and they could make an exception for us..... but because the item was on sale if we want a different color we would have to pay the difference because it's not on sale anymore. Unopened box... and we could not do a simple color exchange... we didn't even bother to look at the receipt because most stores do at least 30 day return policy..... we weren't even worried..... 15 days is way to short of a period for items like that!!!! Went into Best buy to specifically look at a couple of things. Every aisle I went down I was asked if I needed help 10 aisles 10 people. We have had excellent experiences with both sales staff and Geek Squad staff at the Riverdale store. Staff have been respectful, efficient, and knowledgeable. We may have had to wait a little bit to talk to a staff member, but that's fine because it's unreasonable to expect that there will be someone immediately available to wait on me. I went to Best Buy in Coon Rapids to look into buying a MacBook Air. I am not a Mac user and have been on windows based programs for years! The sales person not only answered ALL my questions but explained the set up and how it would link to my other apple devices. He even helped me financially by offering last years model that had a minimal upgrade to the processing, which I did not need. When I left I walked out with the laptop, magic keyboard, and Magic Mouse all for the price of the newer version. He was extremely knowledgeable about the product. THANK YOU! Best Buy is the worst. I will never buy anything there again. My son was in a car accident and the insurance totaled his car. Best Buy refused to try to fit his car in to uninstall the stereo because they were "booked out two months." I called every Best Buy within the area and they all had the same answer.
