I'll be honest- the service was great, but there was a lot of miscommunication on price and timeframe when we called. I did the online form after calling and not getting ahold of everyone. Someone called off the online form and told me it would be a couple days and that it would be X amount of money. Then someone returned my call and told me same day was possible and it would be X amount of money. Long story short someone was there that day to look at our dryer. We paid a service fee and then we paid another time for the item to be fixed. I was a little confused because I thought it would be taken off the total but I don't know. Crippling mold that ruined all our windows, confirmed by Andersen Windows as a direct outcome of their shoddy work. GE's customer service was just as pathetic--dismissive, unhelpful, and quick to wash their hands of the mess their contractor caused. Both companies are a disgrace: Omegaforce for the incompetent install, GE for hiring them and then dodging responsibility. Thousands in damages later, we're left high and dry. I contacted Omega Force and they were able to diagnose and schedule our appointment for a few days out. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was so kind and helpful - clearly very knowledgeable about potential appliance issues! He was able to correctly estimate what repair was needed (igniter) and prep the specialist coming out with the right tools and replacement. We didn't get an exact time for arrival so were a bit taken offguard when the repair person arrived at 8am, but he was able to fix it and finish up within 20 minutes! This repair and visit costed $160 - they offer a discount for cash or check payments. We will absolutely call this team if we have an appliance issue in the future - can't recommend them enough! read more

I called Omega to fix my 3 year old dishwasher (LG). They sent a technician who probably could have diagnosed this grinding noise over the phone or zoom (trip charge). Dryer was not heating so scheduled an initial visit. Credit card # was requested at this scheduling call, was charged, and cleared, before the technician arrived. No receipt, just could see it in my online banking. Took the technician an hour to decide that the thermostat needed to be replaced. He went out to his vehicle and after a wait, called me to give a verbal quote. I asked for the quote in writing and was told that "we usually just tell people and they just say yes or no." On my insistence, was provided with a written estimate. The foot-dragging on documentation felt sketchy, so I called my electrician to double-check the wiring and breaker box. I should have done this first because that was the problem. If I had simply had the thermostat replaced, the initial visit plus thermostat would have cost nearly $500 -- and the dryer still would not have worked. As it turned out, the dryer worked after the breaker was replaced. read more

Polite and on time. Dryer was making a loud squeak noise when turned on. I told tech when I looked up what it could be it said the belt was common. After opening dryer door and spinning the drum he figured it was the belt/ wheels inside the unit. He gave an accurate estimate and replaced the belt and wheels inside the unit. Once it was as all put back together he plugged it in and turned it on, the squeak was still there and he said it was the motor. Bummer but I was not charged anything further because of the misdiagnosis, total was just the $129. I will call them back for the washer at a later date because I believe they are fair and customer service was excellent. read more

My oven and broiler went out on me 5 days ago. Luckily, I was still covered under a "big box hardware store" Protection Plan. I called them up to start a claim and they hired out Omega Force Appliance Repair to fix this issue. Even though I was given a repair date, I called O.F.A.R. myself to let them know a 2nd adult would be home, but not me (the Home owner). The lady who answered was very friendly and professional. She actually said I could video conference with a service tech TODAY to pre-diagnosis the issue. Great! 30 minutes later I received a phone call and a text with a link to start our video chat. That was very cool. **Now if it were my parents who still have trouble juggling 3 remotes to play a VHS tape, they would be a goner. I can just imagine the swear words Dad would say.** My original appt was rescheduled to another (better) date. Last night I got a text with a 2 hour window (12-2pm) for the repair. This morning I was hanging out, waiting around for 12 o'clock to come. I received a phone call at 10:30am from my repair tech. He was running EARLY and was wondering if he could come by in 15 mins. Hells yeah! He was friendly and professional as well. He carried in a giant plastic board (similar to a cutting board) and his tools. He had to slide the oven out to get to the back panel and the board is used to protect the flooring. Thank you! I didn't even realize that would be an issue but I appreciate the extra thought/care you are putting into my home. Repair was done in about an hour (burnt up wire). When sliding the oven back into place, he even fixed a slight wobble it had previously by readjusting the legs. Now it doesn't move at all. Sidenote: I store my spices on top of the stove control panel ledge. Before I had just enough clearance between the stove and the mounted microwave. After the adjustment, I now have an extra 1/4" inch. This makes me happy too. I'm so glad that O.F.A.R. was hired out. Will totally remember them for any future appliance repair needs. read more

Our clothes dryer stopped working on Sunday, and on Monday morning I started looking for repair companies. First, it was great because Omega services Samsung machines - which I learned not all companies do. Second, the woman I spoke with was super pleasant. She was very patient, answered all of my questions, asked good questions of her own and scheduled an appointment for me on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the repairman called as promised and arrived right on the front end of my two-hour time window. It's always so nice when that happens. He was super nice and very courteous. The machines happen to be in my basement next to my home office so he kept me up to speed on what he was doing as he did it. He was very thorough and tested multiple components of the machine to ensure that his diagnosis was correct - the motor had worn out. He told me that it would cost about $500 for him to fix it but in reality he would just get a new machine. He even recommended a few to me and told me just what he would buy. I appreciated that he didn't just give me the estimate to fix it and drive up the tally. Instead he gave me the estimate and then gave me this best advice. I'd highly recommend. read more

I apologize for the long review but I feel it's necessary to help anyone else in need of appliance repair. My family of 5 is visiting my parents in Hudson WI and my parents refrigerator stopped cooling, freezer was working fine. My mother was super stressed and was going to replace the 3 year old GE bottom freezer with dispenser and I told her let me see if I could get it repaired first. In a previous life I worked at one of the largest independent appliance dealers in the country before starting my own business Line Cutterz (aired on Shark Tank). The appliance company I worked for had it's own appliance repair facility so I had prior experience working with service techs. We had some amazing techs and some that were not amazing (to say the least). The level of service tech that comes to you can make a significant difference in what you end up paying which is why I am writing this review (to save you headache and money). I called Omega and the person that answered was extremely competent and attentive. I told here we lost our food and had a large family with a 2 year old and we needed a repair as fast as possible. She was empathetic, got us scheduled 2 days later and also offered to put us on a cancellation list. I opted in for text message updates and I received several updates regarding the date and time of our repair. Our appointed was for 8-10am and on Tuesday night I received a reminder text that a tech was going to arrive the next morning. Wednesday morning I received a text that our tech was on their way. At just after 8 am (many techs typically don't arrive at the beginning of the service call window in my experience). A guy named Aaron arrived at our door and asked us to recap the issue with the refrigerator. We explained in detail and he immediately went over in detail what the possible issues could be from best case to worse case scenario. He took a look at the refrigerator and saw some ice building up in the back. He told us he was pretty sure he know what the issue was, checked his truck for parts, came back in with the part, went over the costs before getting started and immediately went to work after getting our approval. He knew exactly how each piece of the refrigerator came apart and when he got to the final piece it would not come loose because of the ice build up. He explained that he needed his steamer machine and why he was going to use it as to not break the plastic trying to pull it off. After steaming the piece and melting the ice he gently wiggled it free, installed the new evap fan, and put everything back in place, CAREFULLY. He wiped down the panels as he put them back and in no time the refrigerator was back to 100%. He explained it would take a few hours to get down to temperature and to wait to get food for a few hours. During the entire service call, Aaron talked to us as if we were a family member. In 10 years of working in the appliance industry I had never met a tech as professional, kind and as knowledgeable as Aaron. Their whole operation from start to finish was as professional as it gets for a tough industry. The $129 service call was applied to the repair bill and our out of pocket expense was approx $250 for parts and labor which was a steal. I am not getting paid a penny to write this review, and this is the longest review I have left because I feel I owe it to Omega and I truly hope it helps others out. If you choose Omega, ask for Aaron! So grateful for his 5 star service! read more

Phillip was my repair tech for my 2.5 year old LG refrigerator. He quickly and properly diagnosed the problem. It was the freezer fan that had failed. Unfortunately, the part had to be located and found. He located one in Duluth, after shipping it arrived a couple days later but before the end of the week and before Memorial Day holiday weekend. He arrived again promptly as promised and had it repairs in less than 30 minutes time. While I am not happy about the cost to repair and the price of the part, I am very happy with the professional manner and expertise displayed by Phillip from Omega Force Appliance Repair, I would definitely return to this company and recommend their services to others who need appliances repaired. read more

If I could give Omega Force ten stars I would. My situation was as follows. I have a 20 year old Kitchen Aid double electric oven with a self cleaning feature. I decided it was time to clean my oven so I activated the cleaning function from the control panel. The oven cleaned itself fine but then the safety feature which locks and unlocks the oven door wouldn't unlock. This of course rendered the oven useless. I tried several "fixes" that I found on the internet but none worked. After consulting Yelp I settled on Omega Force. I could not have been happier. They have embraced digital technology to enhance customer service. First of all they use a virtual assessment process to help identify the problem. This uses the camera on your phone so that you can meet virtually with a representative and discuss the issues with your appliance. Once this is done you can schedule a service call. They send a text the night before identifying the time window for the technician to arrive and they have a web based feature which allows you to track the progress of your technician. In the virtual assessment we identified the problem and they discovered that due to the age of the oven the part required for a complete fix was no longer available but they believed that they could unlock the door and get my ovens back on line without the self cleaning feature. I booked a service call and my technician Delton did and outstanding job of getting my ovens up and running again. He checked a verified that the oven locks were faulty and replacements were no longer available but verified that if we did not use the self cleaning option we should be okay. Delton did an outstanding job as did Dana in their home office. Dana kept me informed and did a thorough search for replacement parts including eBay. It is truly unusual to receive such outstanding service and I wholeheartedly recommend Omega Force. read more

Had issues with our fridge not cooling and a tech came earlier then schedule appointment as they finished they job earlier than expected (apt was for Friday, tech came Tuesday). So grateful for the techs expertise and patience in troubleshooting our issue with our fridge. Overall very satisfied with the job. Nate also mentioned that if what he did, does not fixed or keep the unit running in the next few days, he would gladly allow us to talk to him again as our unit likely just needs replacing.
