Like some of my other reviews here at Westfield Culver City Mall, they often start with a tad bit of nostalgia. Large swaths of this particular Best Buy (and Target above) sit in the area of the mall that used to be the May Company, and parts of other smaller stores. As of the time of this writing, only JC Penny and See's Candies remain as original tennents in their original location when this mall opened in 1975 as the Fox Hills Mall. I came here in need of a few necessary items, among them a new unlocked mobile/cell phone that was solid and affordable, as well as a 16gb flash drive that could hold a good deal of Ring Vids, and other data. To be quite honest, I didn't know where to start, and that's when I was approached by the CSA (Customer Service All Star) for this experience. Nick (pictured) went above and beyond, coming back with a solid Motorola phone (a tad above a c-note and unlocked) as well as a great option for the flash drive. According to Nick, the Moto G 2024 is a solid choice for those of us old-school Android phone users, who can't contemplate spending more than a few hundred bucks on a phone-regardless of its specs. (Count me as one of them!) lol All in all a great experience. Thanks Nick, you're a credit to the Best Buy brand! read more

Delivery went with a landlord repair and once that was completed, Mauricio and Carlos were on board for a smooth, effortless delivery! I was amazed at the unique device Carlos had to move the washer(s) in and out. Our entire experience was painless except for the expense, when it rains it pours! All good! When I bought a Samsung S25 Ultra from this location, I was expecting a phone that worked perfectly fine, but it turned out it was bricked. I brought it back expecting a simple exchange or a refund for a defective product, the customer service was atrocious. They completely refused to give me a refund or resolve the issue. Dealing with this store has been an absolute nightmare. Save your money and your sanity--do not buy your phones or electronics from this location. With this location it is all about who you get. I got lucky in the phone section because I wanted a new phone but the phone I wanted is in the in between stage. Last year's was sold out and the new ones aren't even able to be ordered yet. The salesperson was very helpful and suggested that if I can wait, then I should, so I am. Looking to buy a camera and of course the merchandise is secured to the display. In this state even the tooth paste is locked up. I'm swiveling the camera gently and attempting to check the features when the security guard comes over and tells me the alarm is going to off. I tell him i'm not lifting it and I'm not spending $800 if I can't simply look at the camera. He then states he doesn't want the alarm going off. I purchased an item in-store and paid cash. The item was clearly marked and sold as NEW. When I opened the sealed box, I found an unrelated foreign object inside. A product sold as new cannot contain foreign items. This indicates a store packing or return-handling error and constitutes product not as described / misrepresentation. Worst customer service ever! I go into this Best Buy at the Westfield Mall in Culver City, Monday, March 16th, 2026, about 4 pm. Slouching on some boxes is a lazy-looking employee, Black, nappy short afro, about 6' 2", scraggly beard (or shadow), bad hygiene (dirty fingernails), nasty attitude. I ask him about a device that's clearly listed on the Best Buy website. I can't remember the name of it, he reminds me, a "hotspot", and I politely thank him to soften his nasty tone. This arrogant worker tells me I need to go to a Verizon store or an Apple store to get the product. He's literally trying to run business out of Best Buy. I tell him, no, the item is on the Best Buy website and I just need him to tell me where to find it. He then huffs like a little child and asks the name of the product and I try to pull up the website. My phone is going slow. He now walks off towards a cabinet without so much as a "come this way" or "follow me". He then looks at some cards on a wall, opens a couple of cabinets and says something in a earpiece/mic. He asks me what do I need it for. I tell him I need it for a projector. He then tries to tell me what's best for me, as if I don't know what I need. Again, I wasn't looking for any help other than the product's location. Then, we go back and forth, after he interrupts me explaining I just need to know where it's at, he turns to another customer and asks can I help you and walks off, leaving me unattended. I guess this immature moron thinks that's a power move. I then ask for a manager. A short time later, manager "Artie" comes and quickly locates the product and I purchase it. I tell him about the poor behavior of the employee, who I tried to point out, but mysteriously he disappeared. But, I'm sure the in store cameras caught the entire interaction and management will review his behavior and I hope take proper action to train this fella, because right now he is definitely NOT qualified to be working on your floor. read more

Came here right when it opened bc my Dyson broke. I bought the 5 year warranty a while back so I was looking to get that. Went to the Geek Squad -- they tried to look me up, couldn't find me. The man helping me was very nice and suggested trying all my phone numbers and credit cards, which I thought was very patient and helpful. Some people would probably try to shoo you off or not try as hard. We found my warranty. So thank you man! My vacuum model isn't there anymore bc it's older so they gave me a gift card with the amount I paid for it. Used that gift card to get a new Dyson. The sales rep helping me was very nice as well. Was informative on all the Dyson models. I didn't know they didn't make an "animal" model anymore. They just are all known to be animal. Anyway, he helped me get my vacuum and didn't rush me. I got in the Checkout line and when it was my turn to check out, the clerk told me she'd be right back as she went to help another customer at the Pick up line. She remained at that line, taking care of those customers, while the Checkout line grew to 5 waiting customers. After 10 minutes of waiting, I put back the gift card and left. I was in the process of moving, so I did not check to see if the TV worked.... unbeknownst to me... after 14 days, they don't accept exchanges or returns. They told me to check with the manufacturer but I can't as is a different brand TV. Customer Service line hung up on me. Because they sent me the wrong TV, I am screwed out of the money I spent. Do Not Go to this location unless you want rude service! Just left after waiting 21 min for someone to come to Customer Service. Unbelievable how long it took while employees were walking back and forth and 3 standing around behind the counter feet away at Geek Squad! Finally a lady came to assist us and wasn't happy to be pulled off the check out register to assist with returns/customer service desk. She was extremely rude and instead of apologizing for the long weight rolled her eyes when asked why no one came to help us! Mind you there was about 10 people in that line waiting to be assisted! We were trying to do a trade in for a laptop and because the lady didn't like that they were called out for the long weight she hit us with we will give you $67 for the laptop. When asked why only $67 when online is stated $150 she answered because there's a scratch. So she categorized it as in poor condition. You can barely see the tiny scratch and clearly she was being an ass because we questioned the lack of customer service! Moral of the story this store sucks! Manager was standing next us assisting the line and was listening to the conversation never once stepped in or bothered to speak to us! I bought an open box tv in 'Excellent condition' which was ready to pick up on May 23rd. I proceeded to go in. In which they gave me the TV just wrapped in bubble wrap. Mind you on their website it states "Includes all original parts, packaging and accessories (or suitable replacement)." I come back the next day to pick it up because the vehicle i brought wasn't suitable for a TV in which is just bubble wrapped. I ended up going to customer service stating how I bought a TV in 'Excellent' condition & I just received it wrapped which I should've received it in a box at most. I should at least receive the 'Good Condition' price on the TV. But all they offered me was their membership which was stupid because why would i want that. Oh plus when they went to go check on the TV they ended up telling that it was also missing a power cord and the remote & the lady ended up telling it could fall down to the category of "fair condition" IMAGINE if i took this TV home yesterday & got home with no power cord and no remote for the 'Excellent condition' price ?!! That is nonsense. Then the "manger" AUSTIN came in stating that i would not be able to get refund because they were going to give me a replacement remote & power core mind you not the ORIGINAL parts. The customer service is almost non-existent at this best buy. The inventory is good and we were able to find the home speaker system we were shopping for, but no one approached to help. I frequent this Best Buy in Culver City often and always get great service from the staff. So, I brought my mom to get a new cellphone. My mom bought a Motorola. The phone had light scratches so we brought it back the next day. We didn't realize the phone have restocking fees at 45.00. We spoke with a manager named Sandra. She looked at the product and saw it had a manufactures flaw. She then waived the fee. Hallie was our representative. She was equally as helpful and very sweet. They referred us over to the Geek Squad to put in the SIM card for my mom. We were assisted by Carlos who was equally as helpful and was a tremendous help. Ive been helped by Carlos before and he is alway very helpful and consistent. It is representatives like this that make this Best Buy the BEST Best-Buy in the city!!!!! I purchased a cord headphone (old fashion, I know) for my iPhone and given that they have them behind the register I told the cashier said request. Incompetent, he gave me one that's NOT compatible with my iPhone that I showed him. Unfortunately I realized it when I went home and left it a bag to return since it's of no use to me. Forward a few weeks later I remembered and went to exchange and some other, a tween looking boy identified himself as the manager said no. The fact that I told him it was their fault he declined to exchange and left it on the counter. I reached over and walked out!!!!! I will never shop at this store or any BB for that matter because the 14 days policy is ridiculous and something about paid membership of $49 for extended return policy is a a scam!!!
