This Best Buy in Culver City is a nice one. It is spacious, has a decent (not great) selection and super nice sales people. We have bought from them quite a lot and have never had a problem with returns or any purchase. They are super nice. Their selection of All In One desk computers is not great, but they have more than some. And the salespeople are trained and know what they are selling. They take their time with every customer. The place is spotless and their prices are usually the best in town. When you walk in you are greeted and it does not take long to get help. I would give them a 5 but their Geek Squad is not the best and I can't recommend them. I am sure they are great for simple things. On June 30th, I purchased a 55" television, a wall mount and cables with delivery and installation. The sales person, Miguel, was very helpful and courteous. He gave us the next delivery date of 7/8/26. We wanted a date sooner but that was the best he could find. On 7/7, an email was received reminding us of the delivery the next day. On 7/8 no delivery occurred. Nobody called. We called to find out it had been cancelled. The delivery date was now 7/18!!!!! I visited the store where the purchase was made and found only one employee left to handle the register and customer service. The other employees were running around in service to the merchandise and the store. She let us know that the store employees have no way of talking to the delivery people. We asked for and received our items and took them home. I found Best Buy to be focused on their sales with no emphasis on the customer. This was evidenced by the lack of communication with the delivery workers. It was also evident in the fact that there was nobody to interface with except the young lady at the register. She was exemplary in managing the situation that a lack of staffing and systems on the part of Best Buy put her in. I looked on line after the fact and found that these were wider issues that had already been reported on line. I wish I had checked first, but I thought I could trust them with the basics. Best Buy used to be a great place to buy appliances. They bought out Pacific Sales and everything went great for a while. It is not great anymore. In fact, the service is terrible. When you go into the store, they are very helpful while they are selling you something. Then comes the need for service: THE WORST WORST WORST. I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to set up a service appt for the horrible refrigerator they sold me. Then they said their system was down and call couldn't be completed. So I called the next day. Waited so long I decided to just drive 1/2 hour to the store. Got to the store, waited, finally got a person. Went through my request and the system was able to take the payment. Then she told me I had to call the service number to make an appt. Tried calling in the store but the wait was so long that I hung up and drove home. Called the number to make a service appt. Waited 15 minutes and got a person (with a very very strong accent). During the 45 minute call: she was able to pull up my account and make the first appt (2 refrigerators on the blink). Then she started to make the appt for the 2nd fridge, and then told me that I hadn't paid for the service call. But I had just gone into the store and the person there told me she had received my payment. So I had to pay again onliine in order to get the appt. So now I have appts and we shall see what happens. Because the fridges are two different brands, I have two different appts, 7 am - 7 pm call time, with (hopefully) a later call to give me a shorter window. This is the last time I will be dealing with Best Buy. I will now go to Costco where everyone I've talked to says they have great service. What a waste of 2 half-days. Writing this review to specifically speak to our experience working with the staff in the cellular department. We walked into the store at our wits' end over my wife's iPhone completely shutting down and being unusable. We were greeted by Edmund Ulises (Uli), a sales person who talked to us about our current phone plans. We immediately appreciated his energy, listening ear, and helpfulness. When he offered us an opportunity to sit down with him and get my wife's phone situation sorted out, we decided to take him up on his offer (although somewhat skeptical that things would work out). Things worked out *beautifully* -- Uli walked us through our options, helped us lower our bill substantially, and hooked us up with two brand-new iPhone 16 Pros through AT&T. I rarely find myself trusting sales people, but Uli's patience and attentiveness shined brightly. He even asked for our pronouns (a rare occurrence for me, and a welcomed one, especially as a nonbinary person) and was sure to be open about any and all financial decisions, answering all questions (although we had very few, as most were answered before we had the chance to ask. We also worked with Ricardo, a sales associate on the floor who was very helpful with talking to us about our financial options with Apple Care. Overall, we were impressed by the amazing value on the phone side of things. If you're ever in a pinch and willing to be flexible with your carrier options, I highly recommend this Best Buy. I come here frequently and am always greeted at the door and am always asked if I need help finding anything in every department I'm in by whoever is working in their areas. Today I purchased a TV and was assisted by Saulo. He was super helpful in trying to figure out if we could fit the TV in my car which it didn't fit so we scheduled it for delivery. At check out he helped me with selecting any discount or certificates from my account. Overall I felt welcomed and left super satisfied with my purchase. Plenty of parking here in their outdoor parking lot! I went in the store to replace my zagg invisible shield tempered glass screen. This is my go to place to change them out! I went to the customer service where I didn't have to wait long to get helped. The guys were pretty efficient and helped me get the right phone screen protector! If you haven't bought one of these phone screens protectors, you definitely need to get one of this brand. They have a phenomenal warranty plan. It's a limited lifetime warranty, and I just make sure that I have all my purchases under my free rewards program for Best Buy. If you keep your purchases on there, it can kind of keep track of it so you don't have to keep your physical receipt. It's amazing because you can change out your phone screen as many times as needed. In the past, I used to buy them on Amazon or randomly had a phone store. And when I discovered this hack, I never went back! Definitely got my moneys worth with the one screen protector! The screen protectors can range from $24.99-49.99 depending which style you get I think. I'm not sure if there's ones that are cheap cheaper, there might be... While I waited for the phone screen stuff to get done, I decided to take a walk around the store... I was actually shocked with all the different things that they had been adding into the store or maybe I just never noticed it! They had a small beauty section with different tools and things to use to minimize wrinkles, some red light therapy, there's other things to help with sound therapy, and other health or wellness items. Even body care stuff like those but body massage, guns and other techie stuff. :) I took some photos of some random stuff that I didn't even realize Best Buy carries. I guess in the past I've bought a washer, dryer, appliances like for the house, I've bought computers, hard drives, all sorts of computer stuff, and camera stuff at Best Buy's. I came in looking for a simple 40-inch TV and had a frustrating experience. The associate kept pushing a specific LG model, saying it was "higher quality," but didn't really take into account what I was actually looking for. When I decided to go with a different brand (Toshiba), her attitude noticeably changed. I later found out she was an LG rep, which makes sense--but as a customer, that wasn't made clear upfront. I even showed her that the TV I wanted was listed as in stock in-store, and instead of helping, she told me I'd have to go look for it myself. Thankfully, Henry (a store employee) stepped in right away and was helpful, professional, and actually assisted me in finding what I needed. I had an excellent experience all around buying a new TV here, getting it delivered & installed. I'm totally surprised by all the negative reviews. Bought a SONY TV here several weeks ago and though there was no one in the TV section when I got there, Eddie soon showed up and got Kyle to help right away. I got all my questions answered and bought the TV to be delivered and installed. Well the TV turned out to be defective. A technician was sent out immediately to take a look at it. It still didn't work. So, annoying as it was I had to replace it. The process to get a replacement was super easy -- I had to go back to the store to get a replacement, helped by Mary at customer service. She was lovely as was her efficient manager (didn't get his name). Brian and Luis came to deliver and install a replacement TV, just really friendly and professional men with a lot of good advice. From first to last, every employee I interacted with was professional, courteous, friendly and helpful. The delivery and install customer service line was amazing. I came in during the middle of the day -- the store was practically empty -- yet I waited over 30 minutes for help with a very basic request. There were plenty of employees just standing around, chatting with each other or pretending not to notice customers. When I finally got someone's attention, they said I had to wait for the manager, DAS, to help me. So I waited. And waited. When Das finally showed up, he acted like I was bothering him--no apology, no urgency, no professionalism. Just a defensive, dismissive attitude that made it clear customer service is not a priority here. He seemed more interested in asserting control than solving problems, and his tone was downright unpleasant. If this is the leadership culture at this location, no wonder it feels like a ghost town. Thankfully, Sterling from Geek Squad was the complete opposite that. This was hands-down one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. Not only was Sterling extremely knowledgeable about a wide range of issues, but he also took the time to patiently explain everything to me. And it wasn't just a one-day thing--when I had to return the next day for further troubleshooting, he was just as dedicated, walking me through each step until everything was resolved. I went to pick up an online purchase and got in the pickup line. There was a woman at the register helping the line to buy something. A came came over and started helping the people in line to pick up. After the people in front of me were being served, i was the only person in either line. More people started lining up to purchase something. The woman working helped the next person in that line, even though I had been waiting longer. All good, she's specifically helping that line. My turn, the guy looks me in the eye, turns to the next person in the other line who literally just walked up (I've been waiting for about 5 minutes now) and tell them they're next. This is the worst electronics shopping experience of my life. Yesterday, 9/26/25, I bought AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation at this store, but when I checked the headphones at home, it turned out that they were regular AirPods 4 WITHOUT active noise cancellation. Okay. I came here today, 9/27/25, to return or exchange them, but THEY CANNOT FIND MY ORDER, even though I made it right here in this store less than a day ago. I have the box with their stamps on it, I didn't receive the receipt by email, even though I gave the employee my email address, and there's nothing on the phone number either, even though I gave that too. The bottom line is that they can't find my order, they sold me the wrong product, and now I can't return or exchange it through NO FAULT OF MY OWN. I had a frustrating experience here at Best Buy Culver City while trying to make a return. I had purchased four sets of headphones with the intention to return 3 so I could figure out which I would like best. All were within 1 week of purchase, well within the return window. I arrived on a Thursday evening and the first guy to help me was friendly. He pulled over a second guy to help with the returns. He then had another guy come over to process the returns on the register. The guy on the register was a big issue. For whatever reason, he started giving me attitude saying that my account was flagged for too many returns. Mind you, I had one return a couple months ago, otherwise I've never done a return here before. He said going forward I will need to do returns to the original Best Buy. I say sure thing I understand. But then he just sits there doing nothing and goes back to his computer. I ask what about these returns and he says this is going forward. Such as confusing experience. He then goes off saying my account could get banned for what I'm doing. He was super irritable and clearly doesn't know how to properly communicate with others which questions me what he's even doing in the customer support department. As I took my stuff to leave I discovered they were closing which made me think maybe he just didn't want to process these returns so close to closing so he could go home. I would totally have understood that if it was the case had he mentioned to come back next morning - but all I got was attitude and threats about my account being flagged trying to intimidate me. I highly recommend to avoid this store at all costs - customers don't deserve this kind of experience. I have been a loyal Best Buy customer for many years but unfortunately have to leave a negative review about my recent experience at the Culver City store. I purchased an iPad Air open-box in excellent condition from Best Buy's website. When I received the item, I found that the charger and charging cables were missing, even though the product listing and Best Buy's own definition of "open-box excellent" state that all accessories are included. I contacted Best Buy's online support, who confirmed the issue and directed me to visit my local Best Buy store to pick up the missing accessories. When I went to the Culver City store, on Washington Blvd, the next day, the customer support representative was able to look up my previous chat and see that I was owed the accessories. However, when the Geek Squad manager, Rina, came over, she refused to provide them. First, Rina told me that open-box items are cheaper because "they all have missing parts"--despite what Best Buy's own policies state. When I pointed this out, she then said that I had already gotten a "great deal" and if she gave me a new Apple charger and cable without paying her, I would be "stealing" from the store. She also claimed that "N/A" in the item description meant "no accessories"--which is obviously untrue. This experience was completely unacceptable and the worst I have had at any Best Buy. I cannot in good conscience recommend this location to others if this is the level of service and disregard for customers and company policy that they demonstrate. Once I got there I asked the black gentleman working the counter if they carry them, and he was extremely short and rude to me with a "No." I asked if there's anywhere that might possibly carry them, but again he gave me a short "No, don't know. I have been to this store many times and almost every time it is a slightly off-putting experience. The employees seem to lack training, have no passion for their job (which, okay, I get it, having to work sucks) and little to no support from management. They seem short staffed. Getting an answer about something usually takes 2-3 more people and lots of waiting and uncertainty in between. It seems like a failure of their hiring process and training strategy. I tried to return a battery charger in person recently and they gave me a whole spiel about how certain camera equipment can't be returned. I showed them the Best Buy app which was letting me go through all the steps to return it by mail, and therefore am wondering why they won't let me return it in the store just the same. They say, "We can't accept battery returns." I say, "It's a battery charger, not a battery." Them: "Oh. Is there a battery inside this product?" Me: "No, just a charger." I ended up getting store credit but oof, the incompetence. Some of the managers seem pretentious as heck. One of them didn't greet me. I don't need an enthusiastic "Hello!" But a simple, "What can we help you with?" or "Hi, I'm the manager what can I help you solve?" would be nice. He also did not speak directly to me after being brought over for help by an employee. Just whispered to his employee on what to do. What the heck? I work in food and I don't treat even THE rudest customers like that on my worst days. It's sad cause Best Buy, to me, used to me a thriving mega house of electronics and service but maybe ever since online stores and Amazon took over, stores like this have been going downhill. I've more or less gotten what I need from this store. Just don't expect a customer service glowing experience. I've seen some reviews where people had great care from specific employees so that's lovely. It seems inconsistent in the competent employees from the not-so-much. The WORST possible Best Buy to ever go to so I'm not surprised AT ALL about their store rating. I'm convinced everyone at this location just hates their job, not a friendly employee in sight. For starters, I was asking a question to one employee and he straight up ignored me and walked away. However, that wasn't even what triggered me the most. My bf & I went a few days before Black Friday to see if any sale had started. We stumbled upon a sound bar set that we've been eyeing and it was priced as "open box" BUT had no box and had visible minor scratches on it. We went up to the counter & asked an employee politely if there's any way they can deduct a small percentage off of it. The employee rudely said "no" so we asked if we can possibly speak to a manager. The manager came already almost annoyed, no introduction of himself and said "the price is already good. I can't do anything" then pretty much walked away without even asking us if we still wanted it or not. In addition, the employee who was originally helping us that called his manager already began helping another customer then another even though he saw us still there.
