I purchased a dishwasher from this store in August 2025. After it was installed I noticed a leak coming through the control panel in the door. It was leaking every time the dishwasher was used. I went back into the store to see what could be done and was told that I had used the unit for 3 weeks and they would take care of the problem if I would pay them 50.00 to join their little club. You never think you're going to be taken in, but Best Buy sold me an old iPad they passed off as new. I picked up the replacement of 04/18/23 after paying nearly $300, and trading-in a similar model whose only issue was being auto-locked by Apple. Apple referred me to Best Buy. I found out the replacement iPad was old after Apple told me I didn't have any warranty on the replaced iPad, because it was not new. Best Buy Garland refused to offer me a refund on 04/20/23, even with a receipt clearly stating refunds are accepted within 14 days. My return was within 2 days. They claim I paid for the repair of an iPad that Apple autolocked due to an incorrect password. But Best Buy also told me Apple would not fix my old iPad, but would sell me a new iPad of the same model at a discount, if I traded in the old iPad. They also gave me paperwork stating they were sending my old iPad to Apple; Apple had no record of this, and Best Buy later said they'd sent it to a Best Buy repair Center. Why do your employees not even read when delivering product to the cars. Some people don't have the luxury to leave their kids at home and often have to pick something up with them in the car. What good does it do to put place it in the trunk for your employee to walk right up to the window with product in hand not in a bag and hand it to a kid in the car. You really should train your employees to pay attention to detail and to check id's for the product to make sure it's going to the correct people. read more

BEST BUY Canceled My Total Tech Membership without me Asking The option of zero stars was not an option so they got one star without deserving it. Best Buy cancelled my Total Tech Membership without me requesting it to be cancelled. I had almost a month left on my membership and planned to purchase a car stereo and have the radio installed as a part of the plan.  When asked why my membership was cancelled, the person told me that he was reading from the notes and he was sorry for my experience. Then, he asked me if I had purchased the car stereo yet. I told me no. He told me I could purchase the stereo and the new plan at the same time and I was assured then that I would be able to have the memebership. Best Buy does not want white people as managers, and I guess that goes for the customers as well. If this is how they treat their "white" customers, then maybe they can move to Mozambique.  Now, off to go Google Best Buy's competitors to give them some loyalty and business. read more

This is a nice Besy Buy located right off PGBT. There is plenty of parking in the private lot out front. The store is kept clean and bright. The only issue I had was finding someone to help me. I asked someone working where I could find a particular blue tooth speaker. He pointed in a general direction and said "over there." i went where I thought he pointed but only found TV's. I kept wandering and found a few speakers but not what I was looking for. I had to go to the front and wait for someone to come help me. Originally I spoke with que who is supposedly a Manager however the less then exceptional customer service she provided would advise against hiring her as a manager. I go out of my way to go to this Best Buy. They have helped me for a couple times now and the 3 stars are for the services or sometimes they actually help and not pass me off to another. 2 stars are for the number of times I opened a box and there's missing parts or chipped items. I started opening boxes right after buying it with an associate and it is a good idea ever since. This past Christmas I brought about 14 technologies for my kiddos and about 13 of them had missing parts. Even the associate (don't want to mention names, I don't want him to get in trouble) said that it was embarrassing for his company. He said during the holidays a lot of people return stuff and they don't get to check the inventories. After this I have no hope for Best Buy so I asked my kiddos to help me start my Amazon account. 2 stars for warranties. A couple of weeks ago, I brought a printer here with the warranty and after 1 year, it stopped working. They recommended geek squad and I have brought the warranty and the geek squad support but they said the one I brought needs added "support" from the geek quad. So I said I might as well exchange it and they said they can't help me. So Whats the point of buying a warranty and geek squad support? Isn't it sad that this is location is the best one Best Buy around the area? There's a bunch of Best Buys out here but this is the best one I have visited and it's so disappointing. I even went to a couple Best Buy in Austin like the one in UTA, Round Rock and Cedar Park (kiddos had problems with their iPad, Nintendo and television) and this Best Buy makes those location look like they are wasting Company's money just sitting around trying to look cool. Do not go to this particular store in Garland. They have no regard for providing customer service. There was no employee around the security cameras area to ask questions. They sent me to the appliance area and then the employee sends me to the cashier line by the phone area. The employee was only recommending me Ring cameras even though I told him I want a CCTV security camera system. He then had me look at Blink cameras and I told him that's not what I'm looking for. He said they don't have anything else they sell. Then I mentioned to him the Night owl cameras on display and he said they don't sell them. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, Tommy Le and he was busy helping another customer. He said it would be rude to help me when he has a customer ahead of me. I told him I needed to file a complaint with Best Buy Corporate office but nowhere in their website is there a link to contact corporate office. Best Buy delivery/set up has been nothing but a nightmare for me. The in store purchase went smoothly and the help we received was amazing. The nightmare began when the first delivery appointment never showed up. I even paid extra to have the tech/delivery service install my purchase themselves and not a third party. Best Buy called to confirm my appointment the night before my delivery date. This was about ten days after my purchase. Best Buy never showed up. I never received a call explaining why the no show. I called customer service and I was told it wouldn't be until July before they could schedule delivery again but no reason why. Keep in mind I've been told all purchased items are in stock. My no delivery was escalated to a manager and someone was to call me back within 48 hours. I never received a call so I called Best Buy customer service again to inquire about my escalation. I was told they had no record of of my escalation case even though I had a case number. I then went up to the store where it was confirmed again that all products purchased are in stock and available for delivery. Delivery was scheduled again but not for another 10 days. A store manager then escalated this issue again and I was told I should hear back from someone ASAP to get my delivery time bumped up. No call yet again. Last night on 5/8 I received an automated call that delivery was set up for 5/9 and they would be here between 7am and 1pm. After they didn't show again and did not call again, I called customer service AGAIN. They said to disregard the message about delivery and it was set up for the 11th. Went in and went to the smart home section. Didnt find what I was looking for no one was in the area so I couldnt ask an associate for it. So I went to the front and he told me that they are out of stock and I could check with customer service for when they would get more. They are unable to see when but they can tell me where close by has it (no where) or order it. She was very friendly and helpful never seemed frustrated (sometimes they can have a get out of my face attitude) she tried to look up information towards my answer since there was no one available since they are short staffed in the mornings. She asked a guy from geek squad. He answered my question and did everything he can to honestly answer it and put my ease at mind. I ended up preordering the item and it was able to be shipped to my home for free (got it a day sooner than if I picked up from store) Overall very satisfied with this visit to the store. I walked in expecting to schedule a radar detector installation. I went back to the Dept, where an employee was up on a ladder. No acknowledgement. I looked around the area for the detectors and he climbed down, so I expected him to at least ask if I needed help. He walked away. Although the sign clearly says the Geek Squad is there at the time I was (a little after 11 am on a Wed.), the room behind the closed door was dark. Frustrated, I headed for the exit. A female employee was laughing it up with the security guy at the front, both made eye contact with me but neither said a word. Curbside pick up is a joke. Worst service ever. I chose curbside because I knew exactly what I wanted and did not want to have to deal with associates inside who often try to point you towards more expensive things or talk about something that they actually don't even have in stock. I've never had a good experience here and half the time what I need is in fact out of stock or Amazon sells it at a much better price. Everyone here moves slow as molasses. Zero sense of urgency or respect for the customer's time. I have been waiting for my curbside order for over 30 minutes. When I went inside the two gentlemen, who looked dead or high, said my options, were to either stand in the customer service line, which had about 14 people, or cancel my order online and purchase it in store. They wouldn't even go check on the order to find out what the ETA was. I went back to my car and waited 15 more minutes. Tried calling the store to speak with a manager but the hold time to get an actual person on the phone was going to be 10 minutes. SMH read more

This beat buy is one of the better locations I have been to due to the employees I know at this store. They always treat me well and never talk down to me like some of the other locations I have visited. This store is busy most of the time though, I don't mind that at all because I used to work retail at a very high traffic store. The only thing that bugged me was that every time I visited, a lot of the merchandise was not stocked or they didn't have it in stock, even though I call ahead or the have it "in the system." The employees here are great and so knowledgable! I've quite a few of the managers and they always personally help me out when I need it. They go out of their way to find something that shows in their system but isn't on the shelf. Gill currently runs the home theater and appliance department and both times I've been there, she has set me up with Clarence, the appliance supervisor who helped me order my new fridge, washer, dryer, and stove for my house. Great customer service! Gill also set me up with the home theater supervisor, Javier who set me up with my surround sound system and even got Geek Squad to come out and install it with no issues! The Geek Squad agents are so smart and always give me great answers and tips. Not to mention the three female agents that work there are all hot! Their customer service is filled with cute friendly girls, and the guys throughout the departments are great. They help you find what you need so quickly and have great attitudes. The Garland store is really spacious but it is a bit dark in there. read more

Never shop here or use their Geek Squad. Best Buy will lie to you just to make a sale. Then when the product doesn't work and you use their Geek, they mess up your computer and make you pay another Geek to fix it. The original problem with the product is still not fixed. I have had two GREAT experiences at Best Buy. My first experience was when I pre-ordered by Windows 8 desktop. The salesman on the floor was very knowledgeable on Windows 8 and the desktop. He walked me though the order process and told me when the desktop was going to be ready. He called me Friday morning and said the desktop was ready and told me where to go in the store to pick it up. I was in and out within 20 minutes. My second experience was buying a HP office jet printer. Again the salesman on the floor was very knowledgeable and did not try to over sale. He even honored Sam's Club price that was on my smartphone. I have always found Best Buy to be the best local place to buy my electronics. Thanks to Amazon and other online shopping alternatives, I rarely buy electronics at Best Buy anymore. We usually go here to window shop and see the products in-person before ordering. I recently switched cell phone service and BB was the only place with a special for iPhones ($25 giftcard for 2-yr activation). Overall the process took about an hour (would have been less if we knew our account PIN numbers) and included activating my new phone and switching my contacts over. It was a fairly simple process that my wife said even the guys at the Verizon store couldn't figure out. I also ordered some items online for in-store pick-up and within 24 hours my products were paid for and ready to pick-up in the store. Not bad at all. read more

This review discusses the Best Buy delivery service. I ordered a washer/dryer and it was to arrive on a Monday. They never called to let me know what time delivery would take place. They just showed up and I wasn't available for the delivery. It was rescheduled for Friday. Then they show up Wednesday because they got the delivery day incorrect. I wasn't available anyway. Then on Friday no one called during the two hour window that was agreed upon for the delivery. So I had to call Best Buy and they had to track the truck down. Apparently they were running over 30 minutes late. It took someone over 30 minutes to call me back to confirm delivery time (at this point I had to be somewhere else) and then they cited another 2-3 hours. As you can imagine, this was exasperating and very inconvenient. By the time I received my appliances my laundry piles were mountainous. And just because they waved the delivery charge doesn't mean that I should get poorly executed service. Communication was seriously lacking and it interfered with my work and personal schedules. The geek squad is disgustingly incompetent. I took my phone there twice because it was freezing up constantly. First, I was told they couldn't replace it for me because the associate did not see the phone freezing up. On my second trip, I showed a different associate a video I caught of the phone freezing up. All he did was tell me to do a hard reset and sent me home. After 2 trips and a STILL broken phone, I am extremely mad and won't be returning but I had no choice because all apple stores have been closed down. This is to inform the general public that if they buy a whirlpool washing machine through Best Buy. Best Buy will only guarantee it for seven days. As for whirlpool the limited warrantee is about as worthless as they come. My washing machine went off-balance and destroyed almost all of the machine and I'm still waiting for whirlpool to have it repaired. All I ever hear is parts are back ordered. They're spending more money replacing the parts in this machine then replacing the machine. By the way this has been going on now about 5 weeks. If you buy anything from Best Buy make sure your guarantees are covered because they won't cover you. As for whirlpool the organizations that work for them. After 3 weeks I received a call that they are coming to repair the washer. Than they canceled it and set another date. Than cancel it and set another date and than canceled that one. So after a week of trying to get it repaired they finally show up. Than tell me they are still missing a part which is back order from whirlpool. No one knows when this piece of sxxx will be in operation. This company repairing the washer is Gunio service. They've been in business for 25 years. I also had to sit on the phone for 20 minutes every time I called. Also as of today I have owned this washer for a total of 7 months in which I think a new washer should hold up longer than 6 months before breaking down.
