I bought a "back row beauty" from this lot and was treated like I spent 100 thousand dollars…read more Customer service was top shelf from the time we walked on to the lot until we left with our new (to us) vehicle. The gentleman who closed our deal (Cameron- I think that's right) told us he would ship us a simple little part the vehicle needed, and followed through. Honest. Respectful. Integrity. I would strongly recommend this group to anyone.

Nice guys finish last. I lost 15% of my car purchase price because I trusted the owner of this car…read moredealership. I purchased a Tesla Model 3 from Midwest Motors in Joplin, MO in December 2024. The dealership never submitted the form to the the IRS so I could get the $4,000 tax credit. I was told by numerous friends, car dealerships, and business owners to have the car dealership submit the one page form as car dealerships can easily get the tax credit from the IRS. Midwest Motors was not interested in doing this as they were selling this Tesla as a favor to a friend and consultant to their company. I wanted to make it easy on Midwest Motors so I did not press them on doing the work. I am now out $4k as Midwest Motors never submitted one form that confirmed I purchased the car from them, or submitted the one simple form with the incorrect VIN. Either way, I am a nice guy that looses out. A video explaining this saga can be found here - https://youtube.com/shorts/JgTpJYZbFLI. The owner and team at Midwest Motors was pleasant and easy to work with during the sales processes. However, like many sales transactions, companies are not willing to help after the deal is closed. They have moved on to the next transaction.

The next day I came in and payed 3000$ for the vehicle and drove it off the lot on my way home I made it only 2 miles before it died. I called and they give no real help or suggestions.. So I payed for the new maf sensor and it once again died 2 miles down the street.. after this I decided to take it to a machanic we're they said that the key I was giving was a set of valet keys and this could be the issue. They then change the ignition the cylinder and got a new key and was convinced that the issue was fixed.. I get in I head home and once again it died. It currently sits on the side of the road 1 month after buying it. Waiting on another tow. So now I am 800$ into car repairs on a a guaranteed vehicle they said. that I have towed more then drove I will not recommend this place and suggest you drive past these scam artist at hot wire auto sales Cause they sale better cars on craigslist this company for being spineless and taking advantage of a person who needs a car.

This is a terrible business to deal with, They are using…read morephotos of a car from another dealer to advertise a vehicle they don't have for sale, when I called them and asked them why and told them I don't appreciate them using my photos they got all defensive and told me to come to their office and settle it like a man. I happen to have a good reputation, this dealership is what gives dealers a bad reputation.

She claimed to be associated with the dealership (Byrider of Joplin) and was unable to answer any questions that I had for the vehicle. I should have known something was up since the advertisement said $299 down. I was required to provide the following information before a conversation would take place from Shara: Hello, We are off of E 20th St in Joplin. What you need to qualify is your 2 most recent pay stubs showing that you make a minimum of $1500 a month at your job, A piece of mail in your name within the last 30 days, and a valid driver license. If you have these things lets get you set up with an appointment. We are open M-F 9-7 and Sat 9-4. To get the process going quickly, I need your first and last name, email, and a working phone number. What day and time would be best for you to come in?... seems to me that I was getting pre-qualified just to get any information. My questions were: What is the price if this car? What is the mileage? Carfax? VIN?... even after a small back and forth, I still was unable to get the answers so I looked it up and this is what I found. Byrider on 20th street in Joplin has the vehicle. It is listed as a 2016 Chevy Spark Base on their website for just over $20,000. It has 57,500 miles on it. Ohh, by the way, they charge 21 % interest on the financing that they provide. When I looked the vehicle up online to determine the value, I used nada, edmonds to come up with the absolute best price for the top 2% of vehicle in our area. That price is $13,000 retail at a dealership. Furthermore, a large dealership here in our local area 2021 Spark with under 16,000 miles for $15,500 and nowhere near the same interest rate. To me, in my opinion, thus is the perfect example of predatory lending on people. I appreciate a deal making a profit and free enterprise however, this is simply wrong. Ohh... Shara, the one on Facebook marketplace, she blocked me for this statement: There is no need to become personal. If you don't have the answers for a customer (me), then why respond until you have them? However, thank you for, at the very least, providing me with the dealerships information. Based on the price of the vehicle versus the book value, it looks like predatory lending to me. Again... just my opinion about a business. All I can really say is this, be very carefully when you used a dealership like this. READ EVERYTHING, take the paperwork home and think, review, talk to someone else that you trust BEFORE you sign anything. If you think you have a good deal then by all means, enjoy, but I bet someone not involved with the deal will advise you to show somewhere else. I would suggest this to everyone... go to your bank, talk to a loan officer to determine what you can really afford and secure what you can actually do monthly BEFORE you show for a vehicle. That gives you purchase power to a degree but at least you know what you can do and still make it rather than struggle to the point that most deals at places like a buy here pay here end up hurting you and not the dealership.
