She came back and told me the service guys all go to lunch from 12 to 1 so it should be finished shortly! I can't hardly believe they would let a customer sit in the waiting room for an hour while they go to lunch when the vehicle is there for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Finally, at 1:40pm, the car was finished. Over three hours, including driving time from Pittsburg, KS for an oil change and tire rotation. Do not schedule appointments close to their lunch hour because you'll add another hour to your wait. Seems to me a change is in order for lunch breaks. Customers first, I don't think so. Every time they put me on hold and transferred me on the phone, I had to listen to Frank Fletcher's message about how they care about the customer. To make this clear, I am not complaining about the work, only the time it takes to complete something simple like a tire rotation and oil change.

John was unbelievably patient with getting exactly what I wanted and Wes was super helpful with what the options were and what we did and really didn't need. They are both very earthy and enjoyable gentlemen and never pushy. I will definitely recommend them to my family and friends, as well as returning for any future service and vehicles

TL;DR: service was awesome, culture was positive and welcoming…read more -- We had a massive oil leak in our Sedona and were running through a 5 qt bottle of oil ever 1-2 weeks. Given a few of the signs, it was obviously a recalled part (oil pressure sensor). I took it to Youngblood Kia in Springfield who said it was some complicated thing that would take $1500 in parts and $2000 in labor (but he offered me a 10% teacher discount...). I argued with their diagnosis didn't make sense to me eventually took the van to Roper instead. Within an hour they confirmed it was the recalled part and immediately began replacing it. In the end, I was out six hours of time and the cost of fuel. During the time I sat here waiting, the employees' love of their work-culture has been obvious and everyone more than welcoming. One of the service reps even popped in to ask who was getting oil changes and paid for them all saying, "Hey, it's December! Merry Christmas!" Thanks, Bryan and Andrew!

So,for starters. We purchased a vehicle from them and they told us that it came from them with a…read moresix month or 6000 mile warranty, whichever came first there were no questions asked. Luckily, we did go ahead and buy an extended warranty, which I will have to say cost way too much for what it was for only three years. we have literally had the vehicle less than two months and within the first month something goes wrong with it. We took it up to them. They said they fixed it, but apparently they did not. we called him back a week later and told him the car had the same issue and that it needed to be fixed. They told us well. There's nothing we can do because this is not a Ford dealer. This is a Kia dealer and you're going to have to take it to a Ford dealer to get it fixed. I called that bullshit because they work on other vehicles all the time. I'm not an idiot. We go to take it to a Ford dealer thinking that it still should be covered under the 6000 or six month warranty but low and behold they decided no we're going to use the extended warranty and instead of the warranty that was supposed to come with the vehicle. Called up there to ask them why we're being charged a $200 deductible whenever this should be covered under the six month 6000 mile warranty and they said that the part that was the issue which has to do with the motor was not covered under that they only cover power terrain. In power terrain the motor the transmission if I'm not mistaken, that's exactly what that is. Just letting future buys know I would not buy anything from this Kia. They are lying shit. I knew Mr. Roper whenever he was in charge of everything and if he knew what was going on now, he would be ashamed.

I was in the market for a project vehicle. While driving by I saw a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport…read more A friend of mine had suggested that this was a good vehicle for the project I was working on and I decided to swing by and check it out. It had just over 130,000 miles on it, Not bad for an 11 year old vehicle. I test drove it and everything seemed fine so I was ready to talk some numbers. The salesman told me the vehicle financed for $11,950 with a down payment of $500 if I brought in a case of canned goods ($800 sans the tinned veggies). Not being one to jump into important purchases without doing thorough research I took a couple days to research the vehicle. I looked at the KBB value of the vehicle which pegged it between $6,000-$7,500 based on a few different factors. Assuming a value of $7000. This lot wanted to charge me an extra $5000 or 170+% of the vehicle's actual value. Further more the salesman told me the payments would have been about $350 for a period of 2 years. "we do a two year note" he said. But by my calculations to pay off the balance in that 2 year time frame would have required a monthly payment of $477 a significant increase compared to the $350 I was originally quoted. When I confronted the salesman a few days later he defended his companies pricing by saying that the warranty on the vehicles and their customer base's propensity to not pay their note was the reason for the high cost of the vehicle financed. When i inquired about the difference in payment quote vs my calculations he adjusted his note time frame to two and a half years. (Close but it would actually be about 33 Months at a $350 a month payment.) Perhaps I'm daft but $5000 is too much to pay for a warranty and to make up for other's inability or unwillingness to re-pay. One could purchase a 2nd car for that amount of money. I asked a cash price for the vehicle and another salesman stepped in and quoted a price of about $8000, still $500-$1000 more than the vehicles actual value. Needless to say I drove off in the vehicle I had come to the lot in. I hope this review will allow those who consider doing business with Best Buy Here Pay Here in Joplin to go in armed with information that will allow them to defend themselves against unscrupulous business practices adhered to by this and many other "buy her pay here" car dealers. I realize that as we come out of an economic recession many are left with fewer options when it comes to financing a vehicle, however being scammed at this level is an affront to the intelligence of the average person.
