I went here on Black Friday and back again on Saturday to make a large purchase. The Black Friday deals this year were great. The staff at this location were attentive and patient. Usually on a busy holiday weekend you have to wait in line to check out. They got me right up to register and I checked out and left. Probably my most stress free trip to Best Buy. read more

Poor customer service. Was told by the sales guy I had to wait for him to ring up a sale and he'd get the laptop I wanted to buy out of the locked case. I watched him ring up the sale waiting patiently and he just walked away blowing me off never to come back to unlock the laptop case. Probably went back and took a nap. I gave up and left. For my YouTube and podcasting cameras, mics, and other accessories, I have always found deals and excellent customer service, which has helped increase my visits here. For example, around Black Friday the deals on the new Apple MacBook Pros with the M4 chip were so amazing that I found it was time purchase one to replace my 2018 version. At $300 lower and the Apple Care that comes with it because I belong to the Geek Squad probably saved me up to $500. I also purchased a gimbal for videography at a greatly reduced price on Black Friday as well. I actually did it the smart way. Order first on the Best Buy app (create an account), then either have it sent to you or go pick it up at the store when it's ready. The delivery service is stellar. Don't fear using it if you want to go that way. Never had any issues and the drivers have been super courteous too. Also, if you shop frequently at Best Buy, make sure you join the Geek Squad. It offers great advantages to serve and other 2 year warranties for free that will extent the life of your purchases. This remains an excellent Best Buy store. This one has always had great service, super courtesy when assisting customers, and if they don't have the product at the time of your visit, they will help you through the process to get it. I sometimes have to wonder how a retail store gets it wrong. I mean, it should be fairly easy. You have merchandise for sale. There's price stickers on it and you bring it up to the registered pay. We came into the store because my husband needed a new computer monitor because his died. He's only on it part time so we wanted to get one that was in an open box. We went to the area in the back of the store where they had their monitors. There were several open box monitors underneath the desk where they had the monitors but not a single one had pricing on it. So we had to wait for somebody to help us , they only had two employees working that whole section of the store that had to do with the televisions the monitors and everything. The employee could not even tell me what the price is so we had to carry all of the monitors up to his work desk so that he could scan them and tell me what the cost was Probably would've been better off spending the extra 20 bucks and just getting it at Costco because we spent probably about 40 minutes in the store The only reason for the two stars instead of one is because they do have a decent assortment here read more

I ordered an open box (excellent) Sony Bravia TV from the Best Buy app. I was so excited to get it when I returned home from work but when I opened the box, the screen was cracked badly. I immediately went to The Best Buy at Towncenter to get this resolved before they closed. Their staff was great. Jared helped me find a the model in very good condition in the store. He also made sure I had everything I needed without making me pay any additional costs. He was very professional. Best Buy needs to promote Jared. Bought a defective TV on Amazon that i guess was sold by Best Buy. I needed to return the TV because the screen was faulty so processed the return through Amazon and was told I needed to bring it back to Best Buy or pay to ship it myself. I call the Best Buy at TownCenter JAX 4906 Town Center Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32246 (904) 928-1999 to confirm this was what to do and they said yes. I drove the hour there with the TV and was told by the store manager that they would not process the review if the TV was not working? This is after he unpacked the tv looking for a cracked screen???? I can honestly say I have never had worse customer service, and then to find out that the person who failed to even look at the return policy and direction I handed him was the store manager is very telling! I was racially profiled by the employees in the Apple section. I came to the store today to return a defective refurbished MacBook Air that I had purchased yesterday. The computer screen kept glitching so I decided to return it and possibly purchase a new MacBook Air instead. The employees in the Apple section were very dry and it seemed like one of the employees was security or loss prevention. ( older white man and younger Latino man). Apologies as this is not specific to this store, but Best Buy overall. I bought a laptop and couldn't get the sound working after hours of attempts. I called Best Buy support and they wanted to charge me for help. It's a new laptop. The only other option I have is to return the laptop for a refund. I really think it's a quick fix for someone more technical. But I can't get to that person, so the laptop goes back and I'll go directly to Dell for the next one. They'll lose my money; the laptop is now used and I won't go back to them. They really need some management help. read more

My husband had a great experience television shopping at Best Buy! We were in the market after our living room television stopped working. I am an avid LG user and my husband is a Samsung lover. We received help from Keara and Armand who are the two Samsung experts at Best Buy that assisted us in picking the best television that met all our needs. They demonstrated all the features the televisions in their back room. They answered all our questions regarding the different sound bars and the rear speakers. My husband and I don't know much about televisions or the Samsung brand but after we left Best Buy we were better equipped to make an informed decision on what television to get. We then drove to two other competitors stores such as Walmart and the Nex (the navy exchange store) and we received the best service at Best Buy. We didn't feel rushed. Best Buy had the item we needed in stock allowing us to leave with the television we wanted the same day. I also have to add that Best Buy had the cheapest price and they also price match! My daughter and I went in there to buy a laptop an apple precisely we stood in the Apple area for about 25 minutes with no help at all! We just wanted to get it we knew what we wanted we just wanted somebody to help us finally we walked away and decided to order it online instead and pick it up there when we got to the pickup line they said hold on a minute we're going to get it there was one left according to the website no one in the store could locate this laptop so after an hour of looking we told the lady that it's not going to be found what do we do next well she probably just canceled our order and said well you can just give us the 1,200 and we can order you a new one to pick up at another store meanwhile we have to wait two to three business days to get that refund back and she did this without really asking us if we wanted to do this at all! At first I thought maybe just this location was trash but after weeks of dealing with the situation I'm in I've realize the entire company is trash!! I purchased an AVR (Denon) brand new for $530. Within the warranty time frame it became a paper weight so I began the warranty process. They gave me a credit for the purchase amount and I decided to go with a different brand and bought an excellent condition open box used pioneer. When she shipped this to me the box stated fair and the equipment was barely that. I've now been battling with "customer service" if you can even call it that to get either my money back or get the equipment at the condition level I purchased it at. The fair equipment has two broken feet and no remote. Instead of getting me what I purchased they are offering me 20% off the excellent condition price for the fair equipment I received, however that actually comes out at a higher price than what they sell the fair condition item for in the first place!!! I have been in the store, on the phone, on line and NO ONE seems to be able to fix this problem!!! Screw Best Buy!!! And their garbage ass customer service. And the idiot that things trying to sell someone at a higher price than actually advertised in the first place!! Best Buy's quality has severely went down over the years. If you buy from here, do NOT bother with online ordering. They do not update their site to let you know something is out of stock until after they have taken your money. It then takes a week in order to even start processing your refund, which can take another 7-10 days. For Cyber Monday I was so excited because I wanted to get my mom a new phone. When I went to this location, we were plainly told that the item was not there, and to check back the next day. No apology or willingness to help, but whatever. I figured that team member was just having a bad day, no problem. I then get an email at 4 in the morning saying that my order is out of stock and there is nothing that can be done. They claim you can update your pickup location, but you actually can't, because the order is "already processed." Not sure how it can be processed if there was nothing to process... but okay. Then when I called customer service, they said there's nothing they can do, and to expect my refund to begin to be issued on December 8th. I was then abruptly hung up on. Uhhh... excuse me? It's YOUR website, not mine; take some responsibility! I never received an apology, in person or online. I don't know if this pandemic has messed them up or what. I have never had such rude customer service from any store before. I was calm and respectful -- I just wanted to know why it would give me the pickup option if they don't have it in stock. I got no answer. My guess is that their fulfillment team isn't doing their job right, or maybe their system count is severely flawed. Whatever it is, the least I could've gotten was an apology. I felt like an inconvenience for something that wasn't even my fault. Now I have to tell my mom that she's not getting a new phone after all. If at all possible, do not rely on Best Buy. I upgraded my cell phone with Verizon by purchasing a new phone on bestbuy.com. It would have taken a few weeks if I had requested the phone be shipped to me so instead I picked it up in the store. By purchasing online I was able to walk into Best Buy and go to customer service where my phone was ready for pick up. I had to show the confirmation email, my drivers license and the credit card I used for the purchase. I would recommend purchasing a phone this way if you have decided which phone you want and do not need to check out the inventory. I walk into the store a few hours later, and was directed to the check out line that's merged with the store pick up line. I wait. When it's my turn for help, I'm then told I need to wait in an unmarked line for pick up. Then an employee tells me I should go back in the line I was just directed away from. Get called from the same person as before. I tell him the other employee said I can pick up here. He gives me attitude and reluctantly looks up my order. We buy the majority of our electronics (blurays and cds included) from Best Buy. It's great that they price match other stores. Since we have a Rewards card here, we prefer to price match and purchase everything here to get our points. We've always received excellent service at this particular store. The employees in each department are very knowledgeable. If there's something they do not know, then they are quick to find someone who does. It's amazing how many different cables there are for hooking up receivers to televisions, bluray players, etc. They never steer us wrong on what we need. it is helpful if you take photos with your phone of the back of the devices you need the cables for. It allows them to help you much more easily. We've also needed advice on Wifi range extenders, universal remotes, and other devices. Again, we've never been steered wrong. Everything is organized neatly by department. If you can't find what you're looking for, there's always an employee nearby to help. You won't find yourself running around throughout the store looking for help. Often, when you're in a department, a employee will approach you asking if you need assistance. Even if I do not need assistance, this is always appreciated. I love that they recycle electronics for free. We recently brought in our old flatscreen to recycle and they took it with no problem. Since hubby and I are so into electronic gadgets, we come in often just to browse around even if we have no intention of making a purchase. Although we still usually end up purchasing something, even if it's just a bluray. The only negative I can say about this particular store is I have noticed they do have fewer bluray selections than the Best Buy on Blanding Blvd near the Orange Park Mall. Checkout is a breeze and there's never much of a wait. They do a good job at keeping plenty of cashiers available at the front. If you don't already have a Best Buy Rewards Card, I highly recommend getting one. They are free. You get one point for every dollar you spend. For every 250 points, you get a $5 certificate to be used in the store. So basically, you get $5 for every $250 you spend. Doesn't seem like much, but when you spend as much money in Best buy as we do, it can add up pretty quickly. read more

Had to go back to BB for a GeekSquad intervention. They installed our new 65" Samsung along w Bose sound-bar. They did an amazing job but for some reason the sound-bar quit working a few days later. They setup a new date for a tech to check it all out. The tech called ahead of his scheduled appt and arrived on time. He quickly identified the problem and got things all taken care of. Best Buy has the WORST customer service on the planet. I spent $3500 with them for 2 TVs. First was delivered no problem. The 75" they said would be delivered 7 days later. I had it delivered in the morning slot because we are busy. Delivery day came. No delivery. Not even a phone call. I spent hours trying to get anyone to tell me what was going on. FINALLY, someone told me my delivery was cancelled due to driver personal reasons, which turns out that is code for, "my house is across town and they are too lazy to drop it off". So now they want me to wait another 9 days for delivery. Wtf? No compensation for their screw up except a meaningless apology from some random customer service person who knows nothing about the order anyway. Absolute worst experience. I had no idea Best Buy moved across the street from where they were originally located. It's definitely more spacious when it comes to parking. Parking was tight in the old location bcuz we had to fight for parking with the toy store. That could've gotten ugly with the parking especially with Christmas coming up. We asked for a receiver or adaptor type thing and he says, yea I know you can find it over at the Home Theatre Section, while pointing. Moving on, we get to the home theatre area and no one was available at first. I stopped an employee and he asked the two guys working in this section if both of them needed to help that one customer. Could one of you possible assist us females out. I am a "watcher". Meaning, after working and watching people for 28 years with the Police Department I observe quite a bit. From your attitude, your demeanor, your prejudices etc. how you use your hands,head, eyes and tone in interacting with a customers. Having said that, I was taken a back at how "short" the guy was addressing my sister, as if she didn't know what she really needed. So when we get to his register and gets her and her husbands information and probably see how much they are spending, a "nice" light went off. Oh these girls are serious buyers and can buy!
