I went in tonight to replace my phone USBC cable as my block got too hot & the port was melted in to it. Dylan was working the door and asked what I was looking for? As I told him I pulled the ruined items from my purse. As I did this a manager came over to also look. He told Dylan what cable I'd need. Dylan lead me just a few feet away to the cables. We bought a Thor electric range from Best Buy in September 2024 which stopped working after 2 days. It is now February 28, 2025 and Sears Home Services just missed a second appointment causing us to reschedule another month out, with the earliest appointment being March 31, 2025. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I would not recommend buying appliances from Best Buy, Thor, or service from Sears Home Services. I contacted Sears Home Services to try to talk to someone and pressed the #4 option for all other questions, and the automated service literally hung up on me. Best Buy refuses to do anything, they immediately directed us to manufacturer support. read more

Don't bother trying to get Geek Squad to do anything after 7. Came in the day before to get my phone screen replaced, I was told I would need an appointment. My only options due to my schedule were after 7 the next day. Told them I needed to be done that day as I was going on a trip and would not have the opportunity to get my phone serviced in the near future, said it was okay and would schedule me at 7:20 so there would be enough time to complete the job before they go home at 8. Get there at 7:05, wait a bit for the technician to finish up with another customer (7:10) then get told "We can't do it because it will take more than an hour." It does not. The current screen on my phone was replaced in 20 min at Battery+Bulbs a few weeks prior. Even looking at the process online, it seems a simple process for people who should be familiar with the process to execute. given the right tools, I think I could in 30 min at most. Moral of the story, Geek Squad most likely don't start any projects that could have even the slightest chance to interfere with them clocking out at 8 no matter how simple the job. Don't buy items from best buy. I bought a Kenwood radio for my truck 17 days ago. Today it started to not function properly. I contacted best buy right away today. The radio has a one year warranty but its to bad for me not there problem. My mistake was buying it at best buy I should have bought it on Amazon. I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator Two days ago and paid cash yesterday. After reading the reviews on the refrigerator, I decided to cancel the order. Yes I should have done my homework first, lesson learned. I called the store only to get a recording that they are not accepting calls. Called the 800 number to somewhere in Timbuktu where I could either hold or get a call back, I opted for a call back. Got a call back to be put on hold again. After a couple minutes I again was offered the option of continuing to hold or get a call back. I opted to hold. After 10 minutes I was greeted by a real person in Timbuktu. Loud music continued to play as she spoke so it was difficult to hear. I told her I wanted to cancel my order and how could I get my money refunded. I was told I'd have to wait for the next billing cycle for my refund. I told her I didn't want to wait and she hung up. I will not be shopping at Best Buy in the future. Do not Buy Soundlink Color II speaker system from Bose, high price and low quality. I have better sound from my $9.99 speaker system from Menards. Whatever happen to quality, Bose speakers were the best, now just low quality system at a high price. If your looking for a cheap system go to Menards, at least they give you low price and 15% off. Very upset with my tv purchase. I know nothing about tv's and trusted the sales clerk. I ended up with a tv and sound bar. Told the sound bar would hook up to the tv; it does not. It does hook to my dvr, but I had planned on canceling cable. I can't return anything and it sounds like crud. I went in to exchange a Christmas gift. My son wanted his earbuds in a different color which I was told would be just fine. However when they realized I had purchased them on sale, Best Buy refused to honor the Christmas sale price as the beats earbuds were now back to full price. So, they are now reselling my returned unopened earbuds for $100 more. They might be making more money but they have lost a customer. read more

So, I should first admit that I have always had a secret love affair with Best Buy. They have stood-by their products for years and have always offered the BEST customer service. Sadly, this bubble has burst. On a recent trip to Best Buy with my grandma, who needed a perfect new laptop (Don't you LOVE a grandma who writes her senator by email and streams baseball games live!?!?!?). My grandma honestly had the most humble needs in a computer-wanted her favorites transferred, Outlook installed, and a new computer that fit into her stylish old laptop bag. We bought a computer and chatted with the Geek Squad/Best Buy about our goals. All seemed perfect until we picked up the machine: it didn't fit into the bag, the data had not been properly transferred, and we were repeatedly lied to by numerous staff members. The management wouldn't even return the costs associated with data transferring that took three trips to the store and a few phone calls to happen. Sadly, my grandma was forced to go to her local computer store to get assistance with her new computer and I might never return to a Best Buy again :( read more

Ugh best buy! This might be one of the crappier stores I've been to. Finding someone to help me find what I was looking for was like pulling teeth. They didn't want to help or their not sure on that department. Then when I told the guy that I did find what I was looking for he looked at me like "Really?" and just pointed he didn't offer to help me find it he just said "down there I think in that section" *glare* fine so I got the boombox looking iPod thing myself. Went in wanting basic microwave. Should be easy quick sale. Knew what I wanted etc. Granted it was busy Sat. but waited forever for salesperson and then I had to hunt one down. First salesperson went to check on display model with manager. Waiting....waiting. It needed parts..would not be in for a week. Next model up? Salesperson disappears. Wait for another 30 minutes. Where are the annoying salespeople when you actually need them? Guy checks "to see if it is in stock" Why have it on the floor if .. Nope not in stock. Next model up? "Let me check"... They lost close to $700 in sales. I was in store 20 mins & 5 employees walked by me without even a Hello or asking if I needed help. I was looking for a new dvd/bluray player and stove. I had to go there since they are only ones that carry the printer ink I need. I'll buy it from the supplier next time. The check-out man heard me tell this to management and said he has heard other customers say the same thing. No greetings or offer to help. The worst advertising is word of mouth. YIKES. I went in to pick up the new computer that I bought and the box the computer came in was sealed so I assumed it had not been opened. Got the computer all the way home, opened the box and they had swapped the new power cord for the old one that I had given them with the computer I traded in. I only knew this because my old cord had exposed wiring from when it was run over by a desk chair. I then had to drive all the way back to get my new power cord in exchange for the old one. Is it just me or should the employees a) not be opening up the boxes and swapping things out and b) shouldn't they make sure everything is all set before sending it home with a customer? I won't be shopping here again, that's for sure...I should note that the same thing happened when we upgraded my father's computer...in his case they didn't even just give him his old cord back, they gave him some random old cord that was not compatible with his computer (new or old) it was just some random old power cord...ridiculous! read more

Service seems to be hit or miss with this store. A couple years ago my boyfriend and I were looking to purchase a higher end, front loading washer and dryer. We waited for an hour while people coming in after us were served before we were. Those customers were older than we were so we assumed it was because we didn't look like serious enough buyers (shouldn't be an issue with employees not working on commission). After the 3rd or 4 couple, we left & checked out other stores. We were only treated decently at 1 other store but they didn't have what we wanted so we came back to Best Buy. It had slowed down by the time we got back and we were helped within 10 minutes. We talked to management, expressed our displeasure and received an apology with a promise he would address the situation with his staff. We bought our LG washer & dryer, Dyson vacuum cleaner and Hoover carpet cleaner and walked away content. (I give our items because we watched several of the older people helped before us walk away empty handed. BB almost lost out on a few thousand dollars of a sale.) Had a problem with our Dyson 2 yrs after the purchase. My boyfriend talked to a manager and the mgr said to bring the Dyson in with the receipt if we had it. I couldn't find it and called the store to make sure they had it in their system. I waited on auto hold hell 26 minutes just for someone to answer the phone. Then I was told I had to call Dyson and have them send in a repair order before I could bring it to BB to have them fix it. Turns out this wasn't the case. I asked customer service in person and they happily swapped out the broken vacuum for a new one. Most of the time I feel like I'm wasting the employees time and most of the time I don't even get acknowledged. Every once in a while I get a good employee and a pleasant experience. read more
