My brother in law paid a grand on a new sound system for his car. He was there over 5 hours watching the tech guy throwing his speakers and beating on things. By the time he was done he had broke the stock speakers tore up the dash of his car and had scratches and gouges all inside his car. Spoke to a manager he was a jerk and left work during the time he was supposedly filing a claim. It was another full day battle to get the claim filed and a different manager to help with the issue. They are now taking care of it but the fact is they barely gave him enough to cover the damages to the car but now on top of that the old speakers are broke so if he gets a new car and wants to swap the speakers back out he'd have to buy new stock speakers! Not even right. He has video of the guys working on his car throwing stuff around the garage area. Extremely disappointed in the behavior or this place! I wasn't a best buy fan before but I sure as heck am not now either! read more

Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO BEST BUY! I bought a webroot security software for my laptop a year ago and had no problems. When it expired, I bought a second one and spent the last week trying to get installed with next to 0 help from both the software's tech support and Best Buy's Geek Squad after repeated calls with no answers. Finally, I went to the store and because I had brought the software to them (but not the laptop), they would not help me or refund me. I have never felt so mad at a computer store and am less inclined on returning. Do not buy anything from this store without first looking online for reviews from other customers; it'll be a real eye opener. read more

I went to Best Buy to see about buying a GoPro and the sales associates were very helpful and pleasant. I was told pros about each GoPro so that I could make a decision based on what my husband would use it for. He reminded me that I may want to buy a head strap and I was thankful for that because my husband will certainly use that. Checking out was fast and they were nice too. I left smiling! read more

I contacted the Longview store by phone, which took several attempts before a human being could be reached. Thank goodness, she was extremely knowledgeable and courteous in answering my questions regarding their recycle program. When we arrived at the store, the person we had to deal with was unacceptable. It was apparent that he thought our presence to be an extreme disposition to him. I was attempting to determine if this young guy could interact with people and began telling him of the story of why we were recycling old computer parts and TV's. He could have cared less! Don't know if the fact it was for a friend that was involved in a TRAGIC motorcycle accident years ago and hasn't been able to take care of the things he used to. Waste of my breath. It distresses me that our local Best Buy can't find intelligent and polite employees. And then I remembered......that's why I order ONLINE! read more

No, no, just no. I haven't been to Best Buy in a while because you can't ever get help. I decided to go today and try again. I was there to buy security cameras. I couldn't find anyone to ask a question so I approached a group of 3 who insisted they worked in phones and turned back to their conversation, not offering to find anyone. I then just decided to purchase the items and went to the check out which was a little unclear. Again, a group of 3 employees were huddled talking. I came to one side of the counter and then the other. At that point I stood beside the group of employees while I pulled up my Amazon app, found what I wanted and purchased it. Once I hit send one employee turned to me. I handed her the cameras and said I don't need these anymore, I just purchased them an Amazon and walked out. Why on earth did I get out in the rain to go there? It's a shame Circuit City left Longview. They knew their stuff and were there to help. It's Amazon for me if it something I need to by from Best Buy. I now have a computer to buy for my son's 16th. Guess I'll get back on Amazon. read more

I returned a tv, tried to order another one. I was told it was online only, and that I would have to order it myself. I ordered it on the 12/4. I had to stop by the store, (which is an hour away) every week to see if it was in.(Because they WILL not answer the phone.) They always told me it would probably be in on "Tonights truck". After 3 weeks (Was supposed to be a christmas gift. Was a sad christmas), i called customer support. They said the store should have recieved it on the 13th. They tried contacting the store several times, and couldn't get a hold of anyone. They couldn't get ahold of THEIR OWN STORE. Customer support checked their inventory at the store and they said they show to have 11 in stock at the store. They told me I should keep trying to get ahold of the store, because they probably recieved my tv in with the rest. After finally getting in contact with the store, I explained my situation. They checked...and they did have 11 in stock, after telling me I could only get it online. And the 3 or 4 times I stopped by to check my order, they had the same tv's in the back THE WHOLE TIME. read more
