Purchased a washer and dryer unit in 12-2025 and it took them two weeks to deliver it to me since I live in Pittsburg, TX. So they deliver the units on a Friday afternoon. They bring them into my house and install them in my laundry room. The dolly that they used had rocks stuck to the wheels from my driveway which damaged my flooring. When they leave my house the rocks are still laying on the floor when they leave and they don't bother to clean up their mess or acknowledge the floor damage. Yet they look at me like they want a tip from me after I paid "X" dollars for a delivery charge since I live in Pittsburg. After cleaning up the mess that they left, then I noticed that my floor was damaged. So I started to look at the washer and dryer units to see if they were damaged too. Sure enough, the washing unit had a big scratch across it. So I called Best Buy and reported the issue to them. A claim was initiated through their claim service Sedgwick. When they called me Sedgwick was helpful and proactive in getting the claim rolling along. They had a claims adjuster out to my house by New Year's Eve to look at the damage. When he came into my house I showed him all of the damage to the floor and the washer unit. Explained to him that I had not submitted a separate claim for the washer unit to Best Buy yet. He told me not to worry about that, that he would include it in the claim for the floor and/or submit a new one for me to Best Buy for the washing machine. He took all the pictures that he needed and I sent him the floor plans of the house as he requested. As he was leaving and I walked him out of my house. He told me not to worry about anything, that he would "cut a work order" and have the repairs done to my house. I was totally happy with that versus having to replace all of my flooring in my home. I remind you that was 12-31-2025. During the couple of months I didn't hear anything from Best Buy or Sedgwick even after sending them a few emails asking them of a status of the claim. Finally on 3-26-2026 Sedgwick called me offering a settlement that was a "low balled figured". I was like "are you serious"!!! I can't get my floor repaired at the amount of money that you're offering me. They told me that you can get more quotes, but basically the offer is what it is and they will not change the offer unless it's drastic quote. I then asked about my washing machine. She told me it was not included. I then asked her why not and explained the conversation between the claims adjuster and myself. She said that he did not have the power to make that statement and should not have made it. My 90 days was over and tough luck basically. She would email Best Buy about the issue. It was damaged during delivery. That I didn't pay for a scratch and dent item, I bought a brand new item, that the Best Buy technicians damaged it just like they damaged my flooring due to their negligence. I informed her that I told her about the issue when I first talked to her when the claim was made and/or one of her other representatives and she told me that she did not remember that. That she was an hourly employee and she gets paid by the hour, she had been on this call to long. She might bring it up with her Supervisor on Tuesday. I just tried to make a claim on the washing machine through Best Buy and their BOT connected me to someone in Guatemala who told me that I only had sixty days to make a claim on the washing machine and that I couldn't make a claim on it now. Even though I bought the extended warranty on the units. I need to buy a new laptop computer now. Take a guess of where I'm not going to buy it from!!! I'll take my money elsewhere from now on. read more

I have been here many times. The prices are high, but it's nice to have everything in 1 location. The employees are anything but helpful, especially at the service counter. They always make you feel as if you are inconveniencing them. And seldom have I found anyone who actually knows their job. I saw that the Geek squad offered battery replacement, so I scheduled a time with them to have my iPhone battery replaced. The location is over 30 minutes from my home. When I drove in at the appointment time (I was early) they explained that they would have to order the part and keep my phone. Why in the world would they have me drive in for a repair appointment if they didn't already have the part??? They knew I was coming. They knew why I was coming. We purchased a printer for our business online with in-store pick up in Longview. We are a good 35 minute drive to Longview and we sent an employee to pick up the printer. When he got to the store the employees refused to get the printer stating it's scheduled for in-store pick up with no other explanation. The employee called my husband who spoke with somebody at Best Buy stating yes, it shows this has been purchased with in store pick up. Best Buy employees refused to give any other explanation of why they were too lazy to go into the back and get the printer. That employee came back to and then my husband left after work to go pick up the printer and spoke with the manager about saying this doesn't make any sense. He doesn't understand why nobody could give him the printer and the manager who was extremely young, gave him absolutely no explanation again did not care that we were giving them business didn't care that we had spent two hours trying to pick up a printer along with however much money gas cost to get there and back twice. We could've gone to Office Depot and purchased the same printer, to Sam's Club and purchased a similar printer or gone onto Amazon and ordered the same printer and had it delivered. We could've gone directly the manufacturer of the printer, but because we are Best Buy members, we tried to use that option. I nowthat it doesn't matter. We as customers do not matter and maybe my one bit of business isn't gonna matter to Best Buy but maybe if other people see this review it'll give them pause to look elsewhere. The point of Best Buy was that there were there that you could speak to now all you have are a bunch of people standing around on their phones, ignoring customers and when you try to talk to them, they really have no customer service skills they barely know how to communicate a sad state of affairs that we are in. I will tell you as a business owner if my manager handled a customer that way, they probably wouldn't be working for my business now. We had a repair callout for an error code on our kitchenaid dishwasher. The repairman initially said there was a leak in the cabinet of the unit, which would have rendered the entire dishwasher unusable. He then determined it was actually the door seals. To repair the door seals (a 10 minute job) would cost $200, $150 for the labor and $50 for the part. The $135 diagnostic charge would not be applied to the new labor charge, as we had been told when we made the appointment. Absolute price gouging! $135 for a diagnostic callout, then an additional $150 plus parts $50 (in this case) for the subsequent visit. 1/3 the total cost of the dishwasher, which is only 1 1/2 years old. Neither kitchenaid nor Best Buy stands behind their products, you get 1 year, unless you want to pony up more dough on an already overpriced appliance. And, who thinks a $1000 dishwasher is going to breakdown after 1 1/2 years?? Best Buy not only does not stand behind their products, they use these kinds of situations to take advantage of THEIR customers. We declined the appointment to have the dishwasher "repaired". And, as it turns out, even more egregious, there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher, there was no leak! And last but not least, when the repairman put the dishwasher back, he put it back crooked, it's no longer level. They were supposed to come back to level it, but mysteriously that appointment was cancelled! It is truly unbelievable! Do yourself a favor, avoid Best Buy. read more

We knew we wanted a particular model of Samsung TV. We had already been to the Sam's Club in Shreveport, LA and Longview, TX. Samsung makes the model numbers VERY CONFUSING for the general public! There is a break down in communication at this Longview Texas store. Bought a pair of air pro 2 AirPods on line says you can turn your old set in for a return fee. Well charging cord was missing at that time. Do I returned the next day with the old set with cord. Then I was told they could not take them Because something was wrong with one of them. I asked the manager don't you sell refurbished pods and phones?? He said yes but they don't fix them. Ha ha. I didn't argue with the guy. He's really saying Best Buy dont fix anything that's exchange. Everything from the indifferent customer service to the unprofessional manager are the symptoms of a dying company. I witnessed the most unprofessional behavior by store 594 manager, Peter Millan, that I have ever seen in a supposed professional atmosphere. There was a miscommunication issue between he and a customer. While they were discussing it (and the Manager was not being very customer focused - he was defensive and rude), he suddenly shifted his attention to a bystander standing behind him and said "is there a problem? you're not going to glare at me like that" and kicks him out of the store. The bystander was dumbfounded and humiliated because there were several people observing. When I tried to intervene and ask what was going on, Peter said "I am the highest manager of this store and I can just tell by looking at someone that they were about to get hostile." I pressed him to give me the name or contact of the person he was accountable to. He said he was accountable to no one (which is obviously false). I pressed him further so he sarcastically said "1-888-BestBuy." He then kicked me out of his store. He was on a very serious power trip, was very arrogant, and was very unprofessional. The Best Buy in Longview TX is absolutely awful. I purchased an "open box' laptop on Thursday evening because I needed to create a resume for a couple of jobs that I am applying for. I got home and it was the completely wrong laptop. I called the store and got the run around and voicemails for the managers of the store. The next day, I took an early lunch because the store didn't open until 10am. When I explained the situation to the lady at customer service, she was very nice. She called to someone else to come up and retrieve the correct "open box" item for me. When she started to ring me up, I told her just to be safe, I would like to open the box and make sure that it was the right one this time. When we opened it, it was STILL the wrong one. I was getting very aggravated at this point. She called to her store manager, who's name is Tyler, and he went over and asked me to show him which one I was referring to that I wanted to purchase. He looked at them and then started switching the price tags on the entire row of laptops that I was looking at. When I asked him about it, he said that someone must have switched all of the tags and that's why i was having problems. So, instead of my computer costing 233.00 for the "open box" that I was referring to, he told me that the small one was actually 379.00 and there was not an open box price on that one. I asked him if he planned on giving it to me for the 233.00 open box price that was on the tag right in front of it and that 3 other associates had looked at the same tag and didn't see that it was wrong, and he said no. I told him that I thought that that was wrong since it had that price on there since the day before and that I had paid 233.00 for the "computer" the day before and he refused to honor the price. I told him that that was very dishonest and that I would not be paying the 379.00 for the same computer that had a 233.00 price tag attached to it. Again, I asked him to give me it for 233.00 and he said that he was not going to do it. I had already purchased a lap desk, a computer mouse and pad the day before when I got the computer. I went round and round with him and he wasn't budging so I told the lady to refund my entire purchase. I got the number to Corporate and stated that I would be contacting them regarding this situation. He could have absolutely cared less about what I was saying to him about that and just kept staring at me and saying that he was not going to do that. I left with a refund of everything that I purchased the night before and said that he has created a very negative experience for me and that I would be spreading the word about his treatment of me and his lack of customer service with his customers. I have used the Longview location since 2012. The technicians, customer service, and floor sales associates have always been polite, displayed excellent listening skills, and provided exactly what I needed. I have had no problem with any on-line order, which are rare, because the item I was looking for was in stock. The staff is always busy and you may have to wait as they complete their interaction with another customer. The service in this location is better than the Best Buy in south Fort Worth. I recommend this location. I can only add, just be patient, courteous, and you will have the best face to face experiences. Went to Best Buy with my 11 year old daughter. She had been saving up money from chores and odd jobs for over a year for a new laptop. We found a 10" ASUS Transformer laptop that was perfect for her, and the price on sale was $179.99, regular $249.00. When we went to checkout, it rang up regular price. I took the associate to the counter and showed him that specs, model number, etc, matched the box. However, he found some obscure number that no reasonable person would have known to look for and said that what I had in my hand was different than the sticker on the shelf. He even stated that it's a newer model. I asked him, why then is there not another sticker on that shelf showing the newer model? No answer, other than he didn't know. I left, but came right back in to speak to customer service. I told them that there is nothing different between what you have marked on the shelf and what is in my hand. The computer specs are to the letter. The model number, in bold letters, matches your sale sticker. They simply blamed the manufacturer not sending them updated price labels. Guess what? It doesn't work that way. Best Buy Corporate would have sent you new labels. I asked them, "Whatever happened to selling something for what it's labelled for?" They simply stated that they could not take a $70 hit on a laptop for someone not putting the right price out. As if that is my problem? I left the place. I am an IT Professional, and my family is heavily invested into technology. In a single experience, they were able to lose an entire family of four as customers, and two different generations of customer's at that. Do not buy anything from this store in Longview, and do not buy anything from them anywhere. They have zero integrity, and do not put the customer first. Best Buy? If there was sufficient size information on trim kits I would have ordered myself so I figured I'd call the "experts" to come measure and suggest a new microwave w/ trim kit. Well the salesman showed up and we picked out one that was supposed to fit. We paid on the spot. We were scheduled for last Friday. Guess what, Best Buy triple booked that date and the install company had to reschedule us for today. Ok, so 3 days later , whatever, I can deal with it. Well the installer shows up today and the trim kit doesn't fit, not even close. I'm out $1000 with something that won't even fit, now I need to figure out how to return this and find someone who knows how to measure. read more

Love working with the staff at this store. Trestin, by far, is one of the best and most helpful employees there. If you ask him, he will give you his most honest opinion on a product; however, he will respect your choice and make every effort to see you get what you are looking for. CASE 1: For example, recently I wanted to purchase a brand new backpack. I am very particular about style, simplicity, and size. Trestin showed me a few of his recommendations and gave me great feedback on how some of the bags in store wear over time. Very honest. I ended up buying a different backpack in the store. When I returned for another product, Trestin not only followed up with me, but also completely respected my choice and congratulated me on the purchase even though it wasn't at Best Buy. Trestin, has given me my my best experience. He's honest, helpful, and genuinely cares about the people he helps beyond just sales. CASE 2: I have also had other similar experiences with other associates here. For example, I was looking for velcro cable ties. The first associate told me that they didn't carry them. Out of persistence, I asked another, and we found them. The first associate saw me, and, although I have seen people get really upset about asking another person for help, the first associate not only apologized but also took conscious note of the product location to remember for next time. CASE 3: I can also real the time I was looking to purchase a Verizon phone. While working with a sales associate in Cell Phones, an elderly gentleman and his wife very rudely interrupted our talk to purchase their own cell phone. The associate very kindly asked them to wait until she had completed working with me. Unfortunately, this gentleman stubbornly began to not only inquire of another sales associate who was also helping another customer but also began to get behind the cash register in an attempt to get immediate attention. My associate did her best to stay focused on me but she also did an exemplary job of mitigating the stubbornness of this customer. In the end, I told her I would wait so she could deal with the rude gentleman. She cared for them with no visible frustration or anger, and finished quickly. Service from her afterward was exemplary. CASE 4: Lastly, I visited to purchase a bluetooth stylus for my iPad Air 2. I noticed the product on the floor was open box. After finding a cheaper price on Amazon, I requested to see a manger to ask for a discount. Not only did the manager price match with Amazon, but he also negotiated with me to give me an additional discount for device being open box. Trestin was also there and after the sale we briefly chatted about the new Apple Pay. Great guys. I know not all experiences are this ideal, but, in general, the guys here are great to work with. Sometimes reviews only happen when things go wrong. I hope this balances the perspective a bit. The only thing that I could complain about for this store is sometimes you have to look for an associate to help you. But, again, it goes both ways; some people prefer to be served the moment they walk in the door and others prefer to ask for help when they need it. I will be shopping here regularly. read more

My Mom (who is a senior citizen) purchased a HP Pavilion Slimline, HP 400-034 computer on 9/23/13 from the Best Buy store in Longview, TX #594. She recently visited the store to have them remove a 30-day trial Windows 10 add-on; to avoid additional fees and penalties. The computer was working fine until she took it to store #594 to have them remove the software. Later, the technician called to inform her that the system had crashed on her computer (which she's only had less than 2.5 yrs) and that it would have to be sent to the "manufacturer" for repair and that there would be costs associated with those repairs. She was disappointed and confused about the entire situation; not understanding how that could happen since the computer was working fine before she requested that they remove the software. The technician followed-up with her after the diagnosis was completed from the "manufacturer" to tell her that, they wanted $399.00 to repair it plus, Best Buy was adamant about their fee of $85.00 to restore all of the information they initially removed. Keep in mind that her initial purchase was less than $500.00, 2.5 yrs ago. To make matters worse, they were very curt with her throughout the process as if she had caused the situation. They showed no interest towards making the situation right even though, their technician caused it. She asked to speak with the manager of the store and he approached her with an attitude and only validated what his salesperson and technician had previously said. She returned to the store on three separate occasions in hopes of appealing to someone to help resolve the matter. She simply wanted Best Buy to stand by its product. I made several attempts to reach a Best Buy Corporate Representative - on her behalf - to file a complaint and I finally got through to there call center which only takes notes. Needless to say, this big giant of a corporation has a screen that's even bigger than it's store front; you're simply wasting your time trying to get through. They have one thing going for them; they're pretty much the only electronics provider in Longview, Tx. Therefore, they have limited competition and this gives them free reign to treat their customers any way they please and conveniently stand behind the Best Buy Corporate "Wall" to keep their on pockets lined with the customer's money. I agree with comments from Hunter B.: They conveniently demonstrate no consistent accountability for providing good customer service or standing behind their product especially, when their technicians fail to perform their job competently. They see Best Buy Corporate first, and maybe, just maybe, their customers last. I live a few states over and there's plenty of competition here to rival Best Buy. However, it is a hardship when you want to patronize local businesses and they treat you the way that they've treated my Mom. It's a hardship primarily, because I feel helpless in terms of ensuring that she receives the respect, support and service she deserves especially, now that she's a senior citizen and lives on a fixed income. I have since informed her not to make any other purchases from Best Buy. The nearest reliable competitor is in Dallas, Tx (2.5hrs away). Although there is a Best Buy in Tyler, Tx., she doesn't trust the Best Buy organization. Absolutely the worst customer service I have seen. I was trying to buy 8 receivers, 32 Speakers and wire for my business. Waited on someone for 10 min and walked to the front. Old guy with a yellow shirt and beard had no one on the phone and no customers and just ignored me and never looked up. I stood there for another 5 min. Then walked to customer service. Then the guy there kept working and kept his eyes from coming up to great me. After ignoring me for 3 min he walked away. After killing 20 min I left and am about to order from Amazon. read more

I picked out a graphics card that I need from the website. When I called to confirm availability the automated system said stock was low and said the store could not hold anything so I should place the order from the website. I did just that and got a confirmation number. While we were getting ready to drive to the store (about 45 miles) I checked my email and no confirmation email yet. Checked my credit card and sure enough they had charged the card for the item. Not wanting to possibly drive that far for something that wasn't really there, I called and tried to explain my situation to a VERY rude woman who informed me that they did not have the item and it would be there in a few days. I then told here (politely) that I needed to cancel the order. Her response was that I would need to come into the store to do that. Before she finished that sentence I had run out of patience with her suggestion that I should be put to an inconvenience and I told her just that but she started yelling over me and berating me with great emphasis on "If I would only let her finish I would have known that I had to cancel in store. I ask for her supervisor. Nothing. She yelled at me again that I should be able to understand when the inventory system says "not in stock". I was done at this point but I ask again for the name of her supervisor. She hung up on me before I got the first three words of my request out. I canceled the order on-line. This store seems to have issues and I feel sure the attitude I was hit with starts at the top. Be your own judge if dealing with them. read more

When we came in the door, someone said "hello", then walked away before we could even ask for help. Wandered through the store for awhile, not finding where we needed to be, and not one employee asked if they could help. There were several employees just walking around. We felt invisible. As we were leaving, an employee told us to have a good day. My husband said it would have been a better day had someone helped us. He just turned around to another employee and continued his conversation with him. We won't be returning here again. read more

My brother in law paid a grand on a new sound system for his car. He was there over 5 hours watching the tech guy throwing his speakers and beating on things. By the time he was done he had broke the stock speakers tore up the dash of his car and had scratches and gouges all inside his car. Spoke to a manager he was a jerk and left work during the time he was supposedly filing a claim. It was another full day battle to get the claim filed and a different manager to help with the issue. They are now taking care of it but the fact is they barely gave him enough to cover the damages to the car but now on top of that the old speakers are broke so if he gets a new car and wants to swap the speakers back out he'd have to buy new stock speakers! Not even right. He has video of the guys working on his car throwing stuff around the garage area. Extremely disappointed in the behavior or this place! I wasn't a best buy fan before but I sure as heck am not now either! read more
