I had to contact all of his account holders and everyone was nice and helpful except for Best Buy. I could never get a live person to talk to so I gave up. Now they are trying to get money for protection on his devices from me but I still can't get a live person. I could go there but the people who work there are not very interested in helping so why bother? I stopped in to see if they could help with a laptop that has been running slow. Nothing special, don't need to rescue any data, just clean and reset the OS after a few years of use. I waited in the "no appointment" line for Geek Squad for almost 20 minutes. In that time four more people joined the lines and one person received service. I had forgotten how much I hate the way Best Buy does business. I'll be doing my best to avoid them again, since they reminded me. I called the store just before 6 PM on a weekday, and my call was answered by a call center. I asked if I could talk to someone in the store, and I was told that they don't take transfer calls from the call center. I wanted an answer to a simple question that could be answered by someone in the store, but instead I ended up talking to someone not even in the same city. This is poor customer service and a sad reflection on our society if this is the direction we are going. Yesterday I purchased an 800$ TV from this location, initially we set it up to be delivered. I go back the next day with a truck to pick up the TV instead since I wouldn't be home the day they wanted to deliver. The people at the pickup counter told me to wait 20 mins (this was at 6:30 and the store closes at 8:00) and they would have the TV ready. I waited over an hour and asked the pick up desk if the TV was ready. After being told it would take 20-30 mins, I waited hour and a half only to be told that they wouldn't be able to get the TV until the next day. The simple solution would have been just to walk back to simply grab the TV and bring it out to me as the store wasn't really that busy. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I will be refunding the purchase and go about 3 stores down to a Costco to buy the same product, for less, oh...and they bring the product out to you in only a few minutes or less. read more

Don't buy washer and dryers from BestBuy as they don't stand behind what they sell. We bought a brand new whirlpool washer and dryer and $2,600 later they deliver it to our grand new house we did 2 small loads a week later and on the third try it wouldn't work. The drain pump was defective on the new washer and Best Buy would not help us at all. They are making us get a repairman to install a new pump that may be her 7-10 days. Terrible service. read more

She is elderly and taken advantage of by this company. The run around was ridiculous and to have to waste that much time of her life on phone calls is insane! This store suffers massively from supply chain issues and having things in stock. Most of the time everything you want/need is out of stock or low in stock. The service team at the mobile / activation desk is lazy, rude, and hard to understand. They talk down at you like a 5 year old child when you ask any question- and the online pricing/stock info is almost always wrong or hard to clarify. August 8, 2022 3:50 p.m. Employees standing around talking to each other while nobody at the check stand. Two visiting at the front door for starters. Finally, very politely I asked a young employee behind me if he thought someone might soon be coming to take my money. His reply: "We are busy right now." Honestly, he was just standing around talking to another fellow behind the customer pick-up window, so he didn't appear to be "busy." I waited longer, and finally a fellow appeared behind the cash register. The sign told me to wait to be called up. So he and I stared at each other. Finally I, again politely, asked him "Are you ready to take my money?" His reply (barking): "YEAH!" Had it not been so important that I obtain this item for an elderly couple who can no longer drive, I would have handed him the item and left. But I really needed it. On July 7th I bought a $2,000.00 TV and purchased Geek Squad to deliver and set up. When they brought the TV the box was freight damaged and had a huge hole in it. They installed it anyway to see if it would work and it did not. They left with the damaged box to rid themselves of the evidence and left the broken tv hanging on my wall while they were supposed to go back and get another and replace it. That was the first lie. I got a call from the Geek Squad 30 minuteds after they left telling me there was no other in stock and I would have to wait 5 days for them to come back with another TV. In the meantime I was just supposed to put up with a broken tv hanging on my wall for a week. I went to the store to talk to the manager about it and he told me the same lie about how his Geek Squad techs had no way of knowing if the tv was damaged even though the box had a size 13 boot hole kicked in it. He took there side of the lie and I went home without a refund. It has taken going back and forth to the store three times and multiple chats and phone calls to try and get a refund. Today is July 13th. I just received the refund. These people have no integrity and I wouln't recomend them to my dog. read more

I've had experience working in Retail, and understand it can be demanding so I'm typically patient with retail workers cause I get it. However I was stopping by this store to grab a phone charger while on a business trip and was kind of shocked at their lack of Customer service. I walked around the Phone Chargers section which was super unorganized and had no flow whatsoever, just a huge mixture of different products for different phones all jumbled together. To add on to it, the workers watched me circle the same section 4 times and didn't bother asking if I needed assistance a single time. (It was the middle of the afternoon, not exactly a busy time of day as they were all just chatting amongst eachother). Mostly disappointed because it just seemed lazy of them.. I have chronic heart failure and stage 3 kidney failure so therefore quite a bit of Edema in both legs. I also have a worn out right knee that needs replacement. I thought a pair of Compression Boots would help my condition so I purchased a top of the line pair From Best Buy For $865.00, tax included And with the knowledge that they could be returned if not satisfied. I tried them several times and they worked fairly well on the Edema but even on the lowest setting they hurt my right knee to the point I had to stop. upon returning them I was told that I should have been informed of a $120.00 restocking fee and would that be OK. I told him NO , it would not be OK. He asked if I wanted to keep them then. I said NO, I can't use them but the question was if that would be OK. It will not be OK but they had me by the short hairs so the only recourse was to warn others of their policy and never shop there again. I'll stick with Amazon where I have never paid a restocking fee or even return postage. If anyone reads this today and would like a top of the line, Spa grade compression boots, go to the Best Buy on the West loop. I'm sure you can by them for a $100.00 discount but keep in mind of a exorbitant restocking fee if they don't work for you read more

Horrible customer service!!!! If you need help, the employees won't voluntarily help you. You have to hunt them down and ask for help. This has happened to me numerous times over the years. Tonight I went there to replace some headphones that my teenage son broke. There were 2 people in front of me being helped at customer service. When one employee helped her customer, she just left. While waiting for the other employee to finish helping her customer and finally help me, I noticed that 4 other employees were just standing around doing nothing. Must be nice to get paid to stand around and visit instead of helping your customers. We all know that Best Buy makes TONS of money, but you can't even get help through their chat without paying them even more money. Even when it comes to answering a simple question, they refuse. It's outrageous!!!! So far they are the only company that I know of that refuses to help customers in chat without getting money first. EXTREMELY GREEDY COMPANY!!!!!!!!! Don't care about helping customers but more than happy to charge as much as possible for anything and everything. read more

My recent venture to purchase the Apple AirPods, at this Best Buy location, was one of the easiest and most pleasant experiences! The wait in line was short and MARCUS not only greeted me, but every customer before me, with a smile that you could see despite his double masks. Not only do I value his obvious concern for the health and well-being of those who he comes in contact with, at the front desk, but his positivity and going the extra mile in offering me the price matching option (which saved me $40.01!) were incredibly thoughtful. Locals warned me not to go, but I had to in order to pick up some accessories. Atmosphere: wow, this store is filled with a ridiculous amount of product...so much so that you can't make it down the aisles if there are other people in the same aisle. It's terrible and makes me wonder if it's a fire hazard. This one is set up backwards from just about every Best Buy I've been to, so I looked for signs...and looked...and looked. It was by pure luck that I found the section I needed. This place needs to be cleaned out and reorganized to make it customer friendly. Staff: associates seemed to be bountiful, but were too busy talking to each other or moving quickly in the opposite direction to be of use. I'm glad I didn't have to ask for assistance because I think I might have spent more time looking for an associate than trying to find what I sought. Check out: one person was assigned and there were quite a few people when I joined the line. He was of moderate speed, neither too slow, nor quick. However, he was nice and apologetic that we had to wait. I don't plan on visiting this Best Buy again unless I absolutely have to...and it will probably not happen again since I was just in the area due to business. read more

They are major liars. I took my laptop in to be fixed. Even though I made it perfectly clear that I have 2 laptops, I was assured that mine was covered by the warranty. She had it right there to look at. They shipped it off and a week later they pretend that's it's been fixed on their website. I go there and find out that not only is it not fixed but it's no longer under warranty and they want to charge me. If I'd know they were going to charge me in the 1st place, I would've taken it someplace else. Now I have to wait for it to be shipped back to me so that I can find someone else to fix it. I'm unemployed and I can't afford this and I desperately need my laptop so I can apply for jobs. These idiots can NOT be trusted at all!!!!! The other laptop is my teenage sons. All of my job search bookmarks and better resume is on my laptop. I wasn't able to save much because the place where you charge the laptop is broken and what little charge I had didn't last long.
