Two weeks ago, we visited the Best Buy store in Millbury to purchase an electric range. We selected a white Samsung Bespoke induction model and asked one of the sales associates to assist us with the purchase. He replied that he would be with us in a minute, yet he continued to wander aimlessly in circles while talking on his phone. After waiting 10 minutes, the young man finally approached us and asked, "How can I help you?" We greeted him again and explained that we wanted to purchase that specific white electric range. The young man removed the electronic price tag and the paper label from the display model. We then followed him to place the order and finalize the purchase of the range. After paying for the item--including an extended warranty and delivery--we double-checked with the employee to ensure the order had been processed correctly. He assured us that everything was in order and that the range would be delivered to our home in a week. A week later, the delivery crew arrived with the range, but it turned out to be a completely different model. We immediately drove to the store to resolve the situation, as we had already disconnected our old range in preparation for the installation of the new one. At the store, we explained that we had received the wrong range and asked for their assistance in sorting out the mix-up. The manager explained that as soon as the item was returned to the store, they would inspect it and place an order for a replacement. We also provided photographs of the exact range we had purchased a week earlier. We then returned home and scheduled a redelivery--only to receive the very same, incorrect range that had been delivered to us the first time. After a third trip to the store, a manager named Ken told us that he could no longer offer any assistance and had absolutely no idea how such an error could have occurred. Our order lists the model number of the range they attempted to deliver to us--not the model we actually intended to buy. Ultimately, after two weeks of waiting, they didn't even bother to investigate at what stage the error had occurred on their end; consequently, we were forced to cancel the order due to the incompetent and unprofessional conduct of the employees involved in the situation. They didn't even offer us an apology for their mistake or for our wasted time. Remarkably, the very stove we had originally selected remained in the store the entire time--albeit with new labels--serving as proof that not a single store employee had ever bothered to properly look into the problem and resolve it. read more

I recently purchased an iPad here, 11th generation A16 base model. I also purchased a case for it, which the salesman recommended. However, when I got home the case was too small, and is only for the older generation iPad (the 10.5 inch). The latest iPad is 10.9 to 11 inches. I didn't second guess it, because the salesman said any of the sizes would work, which was not so. I will return the iPad case for the correct one. read more

Purchased an insignia mini fridge from this Best buy, in less that a year it started to malfunction. When I contacted the Millbury ma store I was on hold for more than a half hour 2 times before I spoke to a rep. I was given false information by the store rep, and William was no help at all, because he had no clue how to access his stores information. This best buy offers the worst customer service, I would avoid insignia products at all cost, because they do not stand by their products when it malfunctions, and is supposedly still under warranty. The 65" Sony tv was on display and I really liked the display so I ordered it, complete with the Geek Squad set up, as my wife has their all inclusive warranty plan for $200.00 per year (that's a whole other review). The tv had to be ordered and I was given a delivery date three weeks out. Ok, I could live with that. They immediately debited my credit card $1,800.00 and with it scheduled to be delivered in two days, this Friday, we get an email saying they don't have it. Then why the h*ll did they sell me one? Worst experience ever when it came to delivering my dishwasher. Took now 2 days off of work for them to show up and with a damaged piece of equipment that can not be installed. This ridiculousness is still going on but I'll keep you updated. So far I've spent a total of 4 hours on the phone with them rescheduling appointments as well. They need to give discounts on time wasted. 5:00- Spoke to Lisa, was told I need to call back and get a new operator because that department doesn't allow you to speak to supervisors. 5:18- spoke to Elyce, got hung up on because I wanted to speak to a supervisor. 5:27- got on the phone with Jeff, he kept he talking for about 20 minutes until he realized a supervisor was what I was looking for and then went radio silent till 5:50, I could still hear background noise but he wouldn't respond to me.called back finally spoke to someone who said a store manager would call me back. My wife ordered a computer part (a linkage cable) on line and asked that it be ready for pick up in 30 minutes. I got to the store in about 35 minutes, went to the pick up counter, no one there. Cashier who was close by offered to help. He told me that it would be 30 additional minutes to get the piece. I said that I would find it in the store and bring it to him so I wouldn't have to wait for an additional 30 minutes. He told me that I couldn't do that because the order was already processed but he would try and expedite the process. 10 minutes later he came and found me and told me that the store did not have the piece I came to pick up. This despite that my wife had paid for the piece on line and left instructions for my picking it up. So I wasted more than an hour driving, walking around the store, etc. One of the other clerks told me never to believe what the website says, to call the store directly to verify if what I am looking for is, indeed, at that location. When I asked for my account to be refunded the amount of the cancelled purchase, I was told that because it was ordered on line that they could not do a refund or cancel the purchase. It would only be done by going on line to their website. No longer believing that anything on their website is accurate we decided to call the credit card company and cancel the purchase through them. I am not a new customer - have purchased multiple computers, TVs, etc. from them. But will think twice (and then twice again) before I purchase any item from them in the future. read more

Hours later destroyed plaster board and stained carpets and ceiling- Best Buy and Geek squad says it is not their fault because we signed at the end of delivery. I had to use Geek Squad for an issue I had with a security breach on my phone. The kid who worked there (I didn't get his name but he's 6'4" with long curly hair. You can't miss him!) This kid was so helpful and nice. He answered so many questions, fixed my issue and came out and found me when I was waiting for my phone to reboot. Tonight we were desperate and on a mission: my daughter forgot to bring home her laptop charger to WFH and with a snowstorm coming, she couldn't go back to Boston to get it. Steve cleared up and reset and updated two laptops and when I got home I thought they were new machines. Also found two new mice with Elisa and muouse pad with Steve, who were patient and understood how some of us use items for years expecing them to be the same! I came here this afternoon, in a rush, to purchase a small device that would allow me to type my paper from work so I wouldn't have use a school computer. I looked for someone to guide me with suggestions. Andrew I believe started assisting me, but I wasn't getting a super helpful vibe from him. I went with Dylan from there, whom was a better fit; answered every question honestly about which device was in my best interest and which weren't worth my time. Andrew initially told me nobody could help me set up my ipad to connect to my hotspot or help install the Word program I'd just purchased from them for $50, unless I pay an extra fee. Which was giving me anxiety about the $400 I was spending... but thankfully he was incorrect. Meghan at the Geek Squad desk was actually super nice and helpful. She did all that with me. I felt at ease and comfortable with my investment by the time I'd left. 5 stars for Meghan and Dylan. No stars for Andrew. Sorry Andrew -- but you would've lost $400! Went into this store looking for a specific product. An employee approached me and I showed her the exact item on my phone with SKU. She fumbled around for about 10 minutes and insisted that she found the product even though it was the wrong SKU and price. She sifted through tablets and showed little care with her handling of them. She was nice enough but please employ people with tech experience at a tech store. Place was trashed with products scattered everywhere. With 40 people working there I expected the place to be a little more tidy and clean. A phone sales man by the name of Dion connected me with a manger and went out of his way and called sprint about 10 times and on the phone for hours and was unable to correct the issue. Mr. Dion stated that I would receive my $200 (for buying new cell phones) in the third sprint bill. WHICH I STILL DID NOT GET! I got my cell phone in October so that would be more than 3 sprint bills! I didn't have to go to Best Buy, but I do because almost all the time customer services is ok at best. I purchased a 32" Samsung Class N5300 Series LED Full HD Smart TV April 23 2021 Delivered April 26th (254.99) and it stopped working on day 16 May 12 2021. I could only return the TV to them within 15 days of purchase. After calling customer service I was transfred 4 times to people who just transfered me to another person. At the end of a complete run around they pushed me off onto the Manufacturer. THIS TV DID'NT LAST 15 DAYS. I will never spend a dollar of my money at Best Buy again. Every time I come in, the installers are very kind and go above and beyond to install correctly and teach me everything I need. 2 appointments I have made with geek squad in the last 6 month. I have Apple care on my iPhone and have had so many issues with the phone and scheduled my first appointment. I showed up 45 minutes early to confirm my appointment then browse the store before heading out. They didn't honor my scheduled appointment. I decide to hell with them I'll just live with my face ID not working. The phone was freezing from the first day I bought it but it didn't happen enough to make me want to try and schedule a new appointment. 6 months later the phone continues to get worse Face ID still doesn't work and after dropping and cracking the back glass I decided to make another appointment. "Booked for weeks but if you come in today at 1 we can take you" I would have been there on time if not for the road work in town. I showed up at 1:08 and because I was late they wouldn't honor my appointment. Never giving Best Buy my business again. Geek squad is a joke squad and no one that ever works there knows anything about what they're selling. I'd give them a 0 if I could. I will say one positive thing. The day I bought my phone April 2019 the phone salesman who worked there was very helpful and I liked him a lot. I bought JBL free headphones back in January, they worked fine up until a couple months ago, the left ear bud stopped working despite many attempts to fix it, so I chalked it up to a loss. While cleaning my wallet I came across the recipe for the headphones and figured what do I have to loose. The store exchange them no problem and no questions asked! This best buy looks nice but thats about it. The customer service is horrible. They didnt even know their own xbox360/xbox one trade in program for ghosts. I had to drive a half hour away for the poster i was supposed to get, and for them to return-and (me) rebuy my item so (this) time... They could put my email in.. So i GET the email and then the trade in program will work. They made the agreement with the company its on their website. Why cant they get with their own program? im a customer and know more than 8 associates did. And they tried saying it was for ps4 only.. Yea okay guys. When i tried calling first about it i was hung up on after 25 minutes. So at the end i drove a half hour to another bestbuy which gave me a poster and the email for the trade in program. Would do no stars if I could. Tried the Geek Squad for an outdoor wireless sound system installation. Made an appointment they gave a 4 hour window for arrival. Stayed home all day and they never showed up. When we called they said they came to the house and no one was home and they called and our phone was out of service. Said they might be able to send a 50 gift card and rescheduled a week later. Received the $50 card - nice gesture but! Second appointment stayed home again all day. At 2 made a call "where are you are you coming". The answer yes we will be there the tech is on his last call before me. Again a four hour window 12-4 and 4 came and went so didn't 5 and 6. No call to tell me they are not coming just a no show. This is the worst service I would never call them again. read more

Just like with other best buys. What I love about best buy is that they are just consistent with there service. I mean so consistent that if one store gives you a bad experience the other store will try its hardest that you get the same if not a little more worst. I stopped here a few months back to pick up a TV and just one sale took almost an hour because they didn't have it in stock. They didn't want to honor the coupon which they finally did at the end. Finally since i denied the protection plan or extended warranty whatever you are automatically treated less than a human as soon as you do that. I think the ONLY AND ONLY Best buy which delivered a decent service was in Urbandale, IA. I understand this is the east coast where all the money is but come on people a little courtesy, a little smile and just a little help will go a long way. read more

Probably a good idea to avoid this location. I purchased a screen protector here and they were too busy to install it but told me if it didn't go well that they'd give me another. I tried to return it 20 minutes later and they refused. I asked for the manager and was told he was too busy to talk to me but he would agree with what they said.
