It's the closest location but not the best in terms of the size. It looks a lot smaller than the others that I have been to. Another negative is that there are fewer employees so it is tough to find someone who to ask regarding a product. There was even one time where I was told that it is either there or that they are out of stock. That's not what I want to hear. Shame on that salesman. I came for the Switch 2 "midnight" release and it was absolutely psychotic. I don't care how much money Kevin currently makes, he deserves a raise and a month long vacation after this madness. The crowd didn't pass the vibe check at all but Kevin still pressed through with his enthusiasm and made the 4 hr wait less unbearable. He had so much to do and yet, he still let the mass know that if anyone has any questions at all, to ask. It was such a breath of fresh air being in his company because he really was so genuinely nice and kept trying to hype up the crowd. I'd be so over it in the first 5 minutes if I had to work this launch. I heard so many side comments from people saying how shocked they were with his effort and enthusiasm. I don't even want to know how long it took to clear the line of hundreds of people. We were 12th in line and it already took 38 minutes (after opening) for us to get our order. At that rate... well, you can do the math. This review is for Darren and Chris that work in the Best Buy Car Electronics Professional Installation. These two guys have the best customer service and work ethic EVER. I purchased a new stereo, speakers and a new back up camera for my Toyota, Darren was wonderful in explaining everything to me and showing me my options. I also asked him to check out a clicking sound which started when a BS stereo install company installed my Viper alarm. He scheduled a full day that him and Chris could replace my stereo and speakers and check out the alarm. What they found was SHOCKING! 1. None of my car doors were wired to the alarm! NONE, The viper alarm was pretty much a pretty blue light because anyone could have stolen my car. 2. Wires that went no where were everywhere, just shoved in corners like a rats nest. 3. The clicking sound was because Stereo Base didn't hook up my alarm correctly. They used the same connection for the alarm which was causing the sound, BB rewired the different modules so they could be routed correctly. 4. The back up camera was installed incorrectly and the wires pinched so that is why it stopped working. These two guys are the best with their knowledge and customer service. Chris literally went through ALL the wires to remove extras and make sure it was all wired correctly. Darren also fixed my sound when I thought it sounded dull and he taught me how to fix it as well. Darren never tried to upsell me, he showed me all my options and what he felt was the best fit for my car. Anything for my car stereo I will be going to Best Buy to speak to Darren and Chris. read more

I hadn't been to this Best Buy in years, especially during the pandemic. Wow, it is completely overhauled. They remodeled it, less aisles, more like a showcase room. Apparently, they remodeled at least one and a half years ago, according to the clerk helping me with my pickup. They've become more of an online order and fulfillment warehouse, moreso. Bought my Washer and dryer to be installed in my new house before moving in a few months later. Upon moving in, I found out the dryer vent was never installed, and some of the parts bought for the installation are missing there. I had one of the worst retail experiences I have ever had at the Best Buy in Bloomingdale, IL. I purchased an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max that was advertised on sale. At checkout, the sale price was not applied. Even worse, the POS system told me the first transaction did not go through and asked me to run my card again. Thinking it was an issue with my card, I used my debit card the second time, and the purchase went through. Once I walked outside and reviewed my receipt, I realized I had been charged the full price instead of the sale price. I immediately returned to the store to fix the issue. Instead of helping, the front attendant, Keanu, gaslit me and insisted that I "must have grabbed the wrong item," claiming customers move items around. I said I would check the shelf myself, and his dismissive response was, "Go ahead." On the way, my relative--who purchased the same item earlier at the correct sale price--showed me his receipt. The SKU numbers matched. When we returned to the front attendant, he told us to stand in line with all other customers and speak to the cash register attendant. We waited behind six customers to explain the situation again. When we finally reached the cashier, I asked if anything could be done to compensate for the system error and the time we wasted returning on Black Friday. She said there was nothing she could do, so I asked to speak to a manager. After waiting 25 minutes, we talked to Susan Martinez, the Front End Supervisor (not a Manager). Again, I was told we purchased the "wrong" product until my relative physically showed her the matching SKU numbers. Only then did she acknowledge it was the same item. We were told the only option was a refund of the overcharge, which would take 1-2 days to be credited to my account. This entire situation was careless, unprofessional, and completely avoidable. If I had not caught the mistake on my receipt before leaving the store, I would have been overcharged. I wonder how many other customers didn't notice they were charged incorrectly, which could lead to Class Action Lawsuits. Experiences like this are precisely why customers prefer online shopping. Online, you can verify the item, confirm the price, and review the total before paying. These brick-and-mortar stores need to adopt the same level of accuracy and transparency to keep customers. I will not be shopping at this location again. So sad, because I have bought so many items there, like Kitchen Appliances, iPads, TVs, and Monitors. read more

He cleared out the stuck piece in like 5 minutes. First off he didn't keep me waiting. It was like 2 minutes past my scheduled appointment. Total in-and out was 10 minutes tops walking out the door. I've been trying to get a graphics card for my PC build for the past few months, but every time I try, I lose out to scalpers and bots online. Even though Best Buy has physical stores, they don't stock new graphics cards in-store. They only sell them online, and by the time I try to add one to my cart, it's already sold out. I just don't understand why they can't keep physical stock of new releases at their actual stores. When I reached out to their support team, they told me that they will only sell cards online--cards that sell out instantly--and they can't give me a date or even an option to preorder any graphics card (whether it's Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD). They just told me to hit the "notify me" button and try my luck with bots and scalpers. It's frustrating that a physical store has no physical inventory of new releases after the initial launch, and it's clear that Best Buy is prioritizing online sales and scalpers over actual in-store customers. I'm really disappointed by their policies, and it feels like they're trying to be a new Amazon while leaving physical shoppers behind. Once Microcenter opens up in my area, I'll be happy to switch, and it's a shame that the closing of Fry's Electronics has allowed Best Buy to become more focused on scalpers rather than serving local customers. read more

I brought my Acer Chromebook in for servicing. It wouldn't turn on at all. It was still under warranty. Plus I had bought the geek squad protection for it. It is now five weeks later and I still don't have it back. Apparently it was shipped to Acer somewhere in Kentucky and they are still "making sure they have the right parts." I'm so disappointed. Had a pretty bad experience here a while ago. I had swung by on a weekend to have an Android phone looked at but they refused to take a look at it on account of it being an older model than what my total tech support plan would allow. A few weeks later I brought my PC to have it diagnosed for power issues and they said the exact same thing. When I asked them what specific services my annual plan entitled me to, the Geek Squad agent called the customer support number which we could have done from the comfort of my own home. Agents should, at the very least, be familiar with the coverage offered by the plans they are tasked to sell. Is that really too much to ask? read more

Stopped by the other day to to pick up something quick. As we walked in we were in shock. Where did most of the floor items go? We asked and they said they are mainly for store pick up now. They changed half of the store into a warehouse. There are some large items like tvs still on display, but most items are in the warehouse. So you really just need to order online and pick up there. Not a huge fan of this since I was expecting to see and touch what I wanted to buy. Now I have to ask them what they have. That doesn't feel efficient for what I needed.
