I ordered a refurbished iPad in excellent condition from Best Buy on line through their app. It was so easy to do. I had no trouble at all with the app. Yesterday I picked it up and when I got home I loaded it up with all my favorites like my old iPad. Everything was great but when I went to scroll it was difficult. I had to slide up three or four times till it took. Today, Bev, and I went back to Best Buy and they had the same issue with scrolling. The manager said I could get one from the open box /sale/display items to trade. They did not have any so he said to get a new one around that price. I was beyond thrilled to see Best Buy stand behind their product. The Apple iPad is great. Belinda was the sales lady that helped me yesterday when I picked up the item. She is so friendly ,professional, kind and understanding. She was fabulous and knowledgeable. It made picking up the item a joy. Today when I was bringing the iPad back Belinda was at the front door welcoming people in. She smiled big and called me by name. (She remembered me) and asked what I was up too. I showed her the issue and she called the manager over. He took great care of me. I think his name was Shepard. If I got the name wrong please ask Belinda she will remember. Chemo brain hits me now and then. Thomas was the salesman that helped me pick out an iPad. He was knowledgeable and kind. He answered all of my questions. The representative look at the iPad I was returning and reset it. It was scrolling. I tried closing a window and I got an error message. So I did need to return it. Terrible. No customer servie. Can't get a living person on a phone to speak in person to. Hard to do it on line if your broken laptop is not working, and you have to drive miles to the nearest store. Last moth they delivered a new big screen tv to my home, but would not spend a couple minutes to but the two legs on and put it on the table.I was unable as a disabled war vet to do that my self, and it only took one man to carry the tv in. A Geek Squad man also came. I guess there was an extra fee to install my tv or they would not do anything extra. I left my cash tip in my pocket. I finially have some one coming tomorrow who will put it up up the table for me, and also plug it in and get it working--which I could just do myself anyway. read more

I would give a 0 if I could - Between the AI system and the overseas call center, I couldn't get connected to the actual store after five separate attempts. The customer service experience was unbelievably frustrating and inefficient. I was in the store last week, and the Geek Squad team gave me a recommendation for a data recovery service. Unfortunately, I misplaced the information and simply needed one question answered. What should have been a quick and easy call turned into an endless cycle of automated menus and representatives who could not connect me to the store. If Best Buy wants to keep real customers, it needs to provide real customer service. Customers should be able to reach someone at their local store when they need assistance, especially for something as simple as retrieving information provided during a recent visit. I spent over $5,000 on TVs in one day. The biggest tv I ever purchased a 77" Samsung tv costing me $2300. Within a month the tv is just a paper weight. No power. Best Buy replaced it. Within two months no power again. Now it's 61 days after purchase one day over the time I can get a refund. I call customer service. Could hardly understand them. I have to go through Samsung. I find out via the reviews that I'm not the only customer with the same problem. Then why is Best Buy and Samsung purposely selling lemons. They tell me I have to get tv repaired three times in order to get some type of lemon clause. Wasted my money and now they want me to waste my time. Will never shop at Best Buy or buy Samsung again. It's got a lot of selection to choose from the only thing I would say is that the workers don't really seem to care or they get mad when you say that you wanna go somewhere else where it's cheaper. We ordered a Samsung family hub refrigerator from Myrtle Beach Best Buy on June 30, 2025. We were told it would be a few weeks for delivery which was fine with us because we had just closed on a new house. After 2 months and 2 pushed back dates we decided to purchase a different refrigerator from best buy and return it when the Samsung arrived. In September we received yet another push back date. This time they pushed delivery back to OCTOBER. They expected us to wait 4 months for a refrigerator. We complained a number of times and with no alternative we canceled our best buy order and ordered it directly from Samsung online. Smooth as butter AND they told us why Best Buy had not been receiving Samsung Fridge orders. We had our refrigerator within 10 days and we saved over $100. Best buy had our payment for that refrigerator for almost 3 months. We did get our refund but no apology nor ANY COMPENSATION for this inconvenience. We have purchased many many things from best buy over the years (especially my husband ) but that ends now. What could we have done better? Called Samsung as soon as we received the first delivery change. This is my word to the wise. read more

My entire recent transaction was based on lies by the salesman. I planned on putting my purchase of an Apple Macbook on a major credit card, but he told me that if I got a Best Buy card and paid off the purchase within 30 days, I'd receive a $200 credit I could use in the store. I also purchased a Best Buy Yearly Membership that he assured me would not renew without my consent, that cancelling was as easy as replying 'no' to an email I'd soon receive. There's no offer of a $200 credit, and the membership would be automatically renewed. I did cancel that membership and will cancel my Best Buy credit card next week after paying it off. This is not the 1st time something like this has happened to me or my spouse in this store. A salesperson rang up his order and signed him up for a membership although he had clearly indicated he didn't want it. I had also tried to drop off an all-in-one computer for recycling, one I had purchased at the store years earlier. The cashier insisted it was a monitor and that I'd need to pay $30 for them to recycle it. I was tempted to just leave it there and just walk away (I didn't). The employees need to be better informed, or at least be willing to verify their policies. read more

I stopped in for a new phone and Priscilla was very helpful. She went above and beyond to help me understand the specs of the different phones and the deals that were going on. I feel like I got a good phone for a good price and I got great service during the process. They were understaffed due to someone calling in sick and were very busy. It was impressive watching them help everyone very efficiently with a good attitude and communication. She helped everyone but I felt like I had her attention despite having so many people to help. She had a great attitude about it and was funny and nice the whole time. She was like a technological bar tender being able to work on 5 problems at once without making mistakes or getting stressed. She also communicated well that if there were any further issues to not hesitate to come in for more help which is nice for peace of mind. On top of that there was a computer malfunction to where the code for the discount for new customers wasn't working and Sheppard the store manager stoped by and helped out. He was able to offer store credit to me taking the new customer discount off of a tablet I was buying also that way I didn't have to wait any longer to figure out the software errors that were occurring. That was greatly appreciated and made me want to continue the purchase despite the technical difficulties. He was a very nice guy also. There was another staff member with long blonde hair that would come by and help customers also even though it wasn't his area of the store. You got the impression everyone was team oriented and helped each other. The store has good leadership and good people working there. read more

Before you have your computer looked at or repaired by Geek Squad, call me at 830-481-7997 and allow me to share my experience with you, especially my interaction with Shepherd, who identified himself as a supervisor. After spending literally thousands and thousands of dollars with them and being a loyal customer for years and years, I will NOT do business with them again. Shepherd was my breaking point. we bought a KitchenAid French door. It was a very nice refrigerator when it arrived. It broke down within one year. we had it factory serviced, and then it broke down again six months after that and then again in three months after that four times the geek squad was come here they told us they couldn't fix it. We had to pay $139 extra even though it was under geek squad protection and they couldn't fix it. We finally got a new refrigerator and they wouldn't give us the price of what we paid for for the KitchenAid. from that I had to take another day off of work just to go and complain and the manager didn't give me but put the money back that it was bought. A few years ago, I purchased a Samsung TV from BB and had the Geek Squad deliver and install it for $99. I thought that was money well spent. However, I just replaced that tv and the fee for delivery was now $249.00. In addition there were two surcharges because the tv is located over a fireplace. Which means it will sit on a shelf 48 inches high. The "Specialized Mounting Fee" was $129.99, and the "Add On Sound Bar" fee was $49.99. The mounting fee was to unscrew four screws from the back of the old tv and then screw them back into the new tv. The sound bar fee was to unhook one sound cable from the old tv and put in back into the new tv. I have spoken to several "store managers" and even more off shore operators who I can "almost" understand. NEXT TIME IT WILL BE COSTCO! read more

I have had the BEST experience, with Myrtle Beach Best Buy. I went in to buy a chrome book which I was a bit nervous because I wasn't sure if that is what I needed. I am 71 and never had one, but I like the smaller sized lap tops. I met Chris, who is specialized and helps the customers with the Chromebooks. He was absolutely wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I had to bring it back due to a faulty battery, which they said was very unusual, and decided to buy an ASUS, and a bit more expensive, but so far it's been the best lap top I have ever owned. He set both lap tops up for me and was so thorough, but most of all a very caring person which you don't find very often. I actually had to go in again a little over a week after buying 2nd lap top again as I had a small fire and it burned my mouse. Chris was there again and very helpful. He had also suggested that I buy a speaker when I bought the first lap top, and it made a HUGE difference in the speaker loudness which most lap tops now a days are so low. It is a whole other experience. It also got burned but didn't affect the speaker. I had to tell him about the crazy fire (especially the fact that the speaker didn't get damaged enough to not work), and how much I have appreciated all his help. He also let me know that the same lap top I bought went on the sale and figured a way I could get that price and saved me money. Chris should be commended for his service and personality. read more

They refuse to accept a refund that was 3 days old with receipt for a battery charger that doesn't work. They said the chargers are not returnable and that the box was torn. I can't believe a huge company like that would lose a customer over a $50 item. Terrible business practice. Needless to say I won't ever buy another item from this store. I recently received notification that my Best Buy credit card account would soon be closed due to lack of use unless I use it before the end of the year. Since I planned to buy a new TV in January and put it on the card, I went to Best Buy today to make a small purchase to insure the card was not canceled. When I got to the register, there were two people in front of me. At least 15 mihutes later, these same two people were still in front of me. By now there were at least 10 people behind me. Numerous employees passed through the area but did nothing. Are they stupid, poorly trained or just don't care? Doesn't matter to me. I dropped the item I intended to purchase and walked out. I will still purchase a new TV next month. Thanks to Best Buy it will come from Amazon or Sam's. I have read numerous articles concerning Best Buy's probable bankruptcy. After dealing with problems trying to set up my new printer I purchased in Best Buy in Myrtle Beach, SC, I threw in the towel and had the geek squad send a tech out to our new home. Adam (whom I highly recommend) arrived on time as scheduled and troubleshot the printer, and determined the issue was with a defective major part (printer head), which I will have to return to the Best Buy store down in Myrtle Beach and get a replacement. I should have called sooner. I was amazed at the skill, knowledge, and shortcuts he performed that pinpointed and verified the problem in short order. I was getting ready to cancel my Geek Support contract, but changed my mind after my experience with Adam. This tech deserves a raise, I would highly advise you to request this particular tech person. read more

In our opinion, our Samsung gas range, our Best Buy extended warranty and our Geek Squad service have all been the worst yet. With over 50 years of buying major appliances, we have never had this type of stunt pulled on us. Four years into our five year warranty, this oven has ruined all types of food - turkeys, roasts, pies and cakes. Many parts replaced, but oven still over and under cooks food whenever it feels like it. If they replace one more part, they would have to declare it a lemon. So, they decided to blame the customer for not calibrating the oven. Since it is totally unpredictable when this oven is going to over or under cook the food, predicting which way to calibrate it - hotter or colder- is impossible. We will junk this oven and buy another brand from another store. In our opinion, this has been a totally unacceptable experience. read more

I went in the store at 11 am. Had to use the restrooms they where horrible. Nobody cleaned then when the store closed the toilet seats where broken. The smelled was like poop let sitting all night. As a former veteran of the consumer electronics industry, I was a palled at the customer service I received. I dropped a iPad off a week ago to have the screen replaced. I hadn't heard from anybody so I checked the tracker online. It showed nothing had been done. I called customer service, which connected me to somebody in India or something like that which is usual these days, the gentleman told me the parts had been mailed out to the store. They still had my iPad. I thought well that should be in the tracker so I said let me call the customer service people again today and see if I get a different story today I was told it was sent to the Apple Store And they were going to fix it when I told him that's a whole different story than I got yesterday. Oh my mistake. It's at the Myrtle Beach store waiting for you to pick it up. I drove 60 mile round-trip to pick up my iPad. I get there and they say it's not here. I show them the Best Buy app and said look this is on the Best Buy app I was texting and they said it was there. Both the manager and the employees told me that this happens all the time that those people at the call center just make stuff up they don't even have access to the repair records Now you would think this would make customers pretty unhappy well I think Best Buy knows that because there's no way of getting a hold of a live person. The only one you can get or those call centers in India. No store manager, no district manager no regional office phone number only that call-center who again the store personnel told me don't have access to any records they just read off scripts I was lied to twice and drove 60 miles for nothing. By far the worse customer service I have experienced. Starting with Maria at noon with an attitude because she swore that I wasn't the pick up person for an order. Didn't get help, didn't look well enough to be working independently which should have prompted her to call the manager but no sends me away. Call the 1-800 #, they called and confirmed I was a pick up person, contacted the store to confirm so I go back. This time a guy with twists rang me up 2nd an hour later. Denied the pick up because he said the computer wouldn't let the transaction be released but what do you know I come again at 3pm and the heavy set girl with long hair could not only check me out but didn't even scan anything. So, what were the other 2 sales associates doing? It's Monday, mid day, I'm not understanding why there are so many grievances for a pick up order and why a manager wasn't called to help rectify the situation is beyond me. Came in to look at computer for my business. The store has a great selection for comparison shopping. I brought a " open box" computer for a discounted amount. But when I got it home it did not work! I brought it back and they bent ocer backwards to make it right. They didn't have the returned model in stock and would be a 3 day delay to get in. Since this is for my business that was no good. The manager came out and they worked out a unbelievable deal. They sold me a significantly upgraded machine at a steep discount. I have been using it for over a month now and am totally satisfied. Was in Best Buy today to purchase a couple 85" Smart TVs. Finally got an associate to talk to as I do not know much about streaming and how it works. To be honest, I'm not even sure what to ask. As I asked a couple questions, the associate got flustered and frustrated and abruptly stormed off in the middle of a question I was asking. Finally found another associate who was willing to answer questions and explained how the TV functions- subsequently made a $5k purchase. Prior to leaving I did request to speak with the manager who assured me he was going to immediately speak to the associate about his behavior! This Best Buy is a wasteland of usb-c phone cables. There is little to no stock on the shelves so it makes me wonder if this store is getting ready to close. Very unorganized and shuffled. We finally asked the gentleman at the door where other charger cables would be and he said in the back behind the Apple stuff. We found that but they were all in little boxes and a lady spoke loudly across the way and said "we don't open boxes here sir". I asked her to come help then, and she pointed at tiny pics of the cable ends and asked which I needed.after being spoken to and chastised, I purchased a cable, got to the car, and it was wrong. 13 dollars and being spoken to this way prevented me from wanting another interaction. I visited this store on a monday afternoon. The store was not very busy but I was looking into buying a Ipad so I had to wait for an associate, which I had no problem with because I was not in a hurry. I'm not sure what I did to annoy the customer that was being helped but she started calling me impatient and saying I shouldn't come there if I couldn't wait. I was very confused because all I was doing was looking around at the different products, her comments didn't bother me, some people are just problematic. I was stunned when I heard the associate start to agree with the costumer and saying I should just order online along with other nasty comments.
