This is a follow-up to my existing complaint #250213887 regarding Best Buy order #1126174396890 (TV and Sonos sound system purchase and installation). Summary of events: - 7/7: First installation appointment cancelled without explanation. - 7/9: Rescheduled installation cancelled a second time; technician indicated the speaker hookup was outside the original scope of work. - Following escalation, I was assigned to Karen on the Large Product Resolution (LPSR) team, case #377694148, who arranged for the speaker connection to be covered and rescheduled the installation. - On the most recent visit, the technician mounted the wall bracket and attempted the TV installation, but the TV itself arrived defective (cracked screen, does not power on). The technician was also unable to run the cables behind the wall due to cross beams/studs in that section of wall, so the cabling is currently exposed and hanging down to the outlet. Additionally, the Sonos sound system (soundbar, subwoofer, and two satellite speakers) was left incomplete: the satellite speakers were placed in their wall mounts, but the soundbar and subwoofer were not connected, with the stated reason being that the TV needs to be in place first. This is now the third failure connected to this single order. I am requesting: 1. Immediate replacement of the damaged TV at no additional cost, with priority scheduling. 2. Completion of the full Sonos setup (soundbar and subwoofer connection) in the same visit as the TV replacement. 3. A resolution for the exposed cabling, whether that's a cable cover/raceway or other acceptable solution given the structural limitation. I really don't go yo Best Buy, but this location is just OK. The best thing about this Best Buy is that the customer service is exceptional but today when I went in, I was kind of disappointed because I wanted to buy a universal-c car charger, and for some reason, the charger that I wanted was grouped with other universal charges that said $8.99 that was reduced. However, the seller associates and I believe one of them was a manager did not let me take the price of $8.99. I didn't like that so I said never mind. Usually when you have good Customer Service, they will let the customer get the price that it was in the same area even though it was a mistake. Anyways, this location is never really busy like how it used to be. I guess because of how the world has changed now, but they are fully stock with a lot of appliances and electronics. I will only come here cause it's only for convenience or if I need something quick. But after today, it did make me feel some type of way with the customer service. Came in today 10/31/26 with some friends to get some cards etc.... I was so happy that they had some Pokémon cards in the shelf. Finally. What I wasn't happy about was the disrespect and unprofessional customer service I received today. I went to the counter and automatically 2 latinas and a red headed Caucasian male were giving us trouble about purchasing some cards. They told us we can only purchase cards, one per household. We were like okay. Then pressed us about looking like each other and if we lived together. Which was so disrespectful and stereotypical. I was offended of course. But then to top it off they had the worst attitude for no reason. Idk what their deal was. So then they're like... you're suppose to have an account to purchase cards! Like no you're not, anyone can purchase these cards. They made this purchase so difficult! I go bestbuy all the time and I never felt this way when leaving, it really sucked. I really do hope management or a supervisor reads this because I shop there all the time and no one deserves to be treated like this for purchasing some damn Pokémon cards. Prices are overpriced but they have a decent amount of selection for computers, refrigerators, stoves and technology stuff, etc., easy parking. The service is just ok but that's because most specialists are already helping others. If you do ask for help, they are polite, kind, courteous and do help you out, though. I bought two Shell Oil - $50 physical Gift Cards (https://www.bestbuy.com/product/shell-oil-50-gift-card/JJG34YFXR2) on 5/13/26. I received both of them a few days later with zero funds loaded on either card. I was so embarrassed at the Shell gas station. The clerk assumed that I was trying to run a gift card scam on him. So, I called Best Buy, and they gave me three different phone numbers to resolve the issue. Sadly, all of them said Best Buy never activated the gift cards. Best Buy refused to refund the money either. I filed a dispute with PayPal, Discover Credit Card, and the Better Business Bureau. All of them sided with Best Buy. So, I filed complaints with the FTC, California's State Attorney General, and the FBI's IC3. Patiently waiting for them to contact me about the gift card fraud committed by Best Buy. read more

Best Buy has really gone downhill. I've gone twice in the past year and had a bad experience both times: -today I went in to get my TV looked at. I bought it a few months ago and it periodically was going to a loud static screen then shutting off. It was under warranty, and I showed a video of the issue. They said they'd just replace it for me. They made me pay $22, because it currently is going for $22 more than when I bought it. WTF? So I got to pay for the hassle of taking in a malfunctioning product, and now have to set up the device again with all my logins. -a few months ago I wanted to upgrade my phone, and went in to do a trade-in with my old phone. They said I couldn't do a trade-in and data transfer on the spot, unless I paid $60 bucks for them to do it. I went to Apple instead, they did it all on the spot, and I ended up paying much less overall. Not sure what has happened to this place, but I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

By the following Friday. I was having issue with the software and hardware because I was log out. I made an appt and spoke to Antonio. Instead of understanding my issue. He would talk about how much it would cost to get things fix. $40 to retrieve pw and over $200 for complete reboot. I refused because I didn't caused the issue and it had only been 7 days since purchase. And requested for an exchange. He said NO. I left and got Apple support from home. The tech did all he could and said Best Buy Pasadena should had exchanged it then he recommended I go to Apple authorize dealer at Best Buy in montebello for further assistance. The geek squad Randy was very helpful ( far different from Antonio) he knew my problem right away and realized I was very stressed out since I lost three days of works and he said he will fix it. Schedules were rearranged. Care-givers re assigned, visitation to hospitalized friends rescheduled. On delivery day an email states that no delivery until further notice. Disappointing. Yesterday my 76 year old mother purchased a cell phone from the Pasadena store. She was told to return today for a "free" screen cover because she signed up for the yearly membership ($179). When she arrived today, she explained that she was there for the screen cover and needed help putting it on. The employee told her the screen was not free but he would put it on for her for free. My mother was treated very rude and the attitude of the employees she encountered were all very unprofessional! Beware of the yearly membership...read the small print! The manager sold my mom this membership like it was the best thing since sliced bread. Don't be fooled...this is example of why consumers buy from Amazon. We will no longer shop at Best Buy! What the heck is happening at Best Buy? When my fiance and I were shopping here for Black Friday, we had a simple request: trade in a MacBook and upgrade to the latest model. We understand Black Friday can be super busy, but they kept redirecting us to random locations. First we were told to go to checkout to trade in. No wait, we were told the wrong spot, please go to the front. Wait wrong spot again. Someone walked us over to the registers at the center of the store and gave me a trade in value for my MacBook. I didn't bring a charger that day but he said if I bring in my charger, it would be $60 more after. He said that if I buy my MacBook today and trade in my old one another day, I can get back the return credit fee easily. I did just that so I would not miss out on the Black Friday deal. When we came back today, another employee helped us out. She didn't know she was doing so she called a supervisor later. We waited 20 minutes as he dug into the specs and all of a sudden, they apparently don't take my specific model MacBook for trade in. I was confused since the first employee from BF said they did, but the supervisor said they probably chose the wrong model when evaluating in BB's internal system. I had to swing by Best Buy for a birthday present since Game Stop closed for a switch 2 game. The cashier that was assisting me was very kind and polite and professional, but this other cashier decided to interrupt our transaction and argue with me regarding their price matching policy. They claim they can price match with Target and Walmart, but when I showed them the price in my phone, Alice (the other cashier's name) said it was the "online price" and she couldn't honor it, even though my cashier was just radioing the manager to confirm. I felt this was poor customer experience bc I'm using my iPhone. Of course it's gonna show online price!!!!!! I normally don't write reviews, but my experience at this Best Buy location was unacceptable and upsetting. I came in to return an item, and from the moment I walked in, I felt completely ignored. No one at the entrance greeted me or informed me about needing a return sticker. There was an employee standing near the door chatting with someone, but he didn't acknowledge me at all. I went straight to the customer service counter, and the employee named Alice refused to process my return simply because I didn't have a sticker -- something I wasn't told about beforehand. What made this worse was her attitude. It felt dismissive and disrespectful, and it came off as racially biased. As a customer, I deserve to be treated with the same respect and fairness as anyone else. I didn't want to write this, but I can't stay silent when I experience what felt like racism. Best Buy needs to do better with training their staff on basic respect, communication, and how to treat all customers equally. read more

Truly horrible experience. We bought a new in-the-wall electric oven, and scheduled its installation. Their AI telephone service is a joke. The automated voice can't understand simple instructions. So then you get routed to a live person, and most of those people can barely speak understandable English. First, they sent a crew to remove the old oven. When they arrived, they said, "oh, we can't disconnect the oven; we are just authorized to haul it away." So now they have to send a different crew to disconnect the old oven before yet another crew can install the new oven. THEN, a third crew comes two days later to haul away the oven. It's ridiculous. I will never buy an appliance from Best Buy again. Stay away from them. They should just go out of business. read more

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. This has been the fourth time coming to this location and nothing has changed. No greeting from associates. They just stare at you from a distance. My family and I were looking for items to add to my home office. As I stood in front of the monitors there were four associates hovering around the computer. One associate stocking items that never made eye contact or acknowledged me. So I walked over to the Mac products to get some help with the Mac mini. Stood there looking at them for approximately 15 minutes and no associates in sight. When one did come close they continued past me. I eventually make my way out towards the front exit. The manager Victor asked if everything was okay. I explained exactly what happened. He said that they put customers into a queue to get assistance. I would have done that as soon as I walked in, but my entire family was never greeted when we walked in. I asked for the General Managers name. Just bought a really expensive refrigerator here and they did not deliver on the day they promised and don't have any update about when they will deliver. There is no way to get in touch with anyone by phone (at least not anyone who cares). Two Best Buy employees gave me their numbers to call (if I had any issue with my order) but neither call me back. Meanwhile they have charged my credit card and I will need to pay the bill but have no idea when or if they are going to deliver. This is why they keep closing stores. We bought a TV to replace one we had mounted above a fireplace. When we first spoke with the salesperson we told him the new one was replacing one above our fireplace which we had had for over 25 years so the concept and the fact regarding the installing above a fireplace was well laid out. When the installers came to install they told us it was an extra charge above the $179.00 for installing above a fireplace. Then the guy tried to charge us for hauling away the old one even though we had already paid the $50.00 charge for that. The morning of the install day and before the guy came to install it Best Buy called to tell us the guy to haul it away was ten minutes away. The old tv was still on the wall and the installer had called to tell us he couldnt be there until about 4:00 p.m. I told her there is nothing to haul away yet because the old tv had not been replaced yet. So her solution was to be charged again when the installer arrives "if" he can haul it away and they would credit us for the initial haul away payment. So totally inefficient. So the guy comes to do the install finally and they want extra money to do the install over the fireplace. We told them we were done with Best Buy and will have it installed by someone else. So now we have to go back to Best Buy and get reimbursed for not only the install but the haul away. So that should be fun. I'm thinking of returning the TV as well as the box has never been opened. Needless to say we won't be going back to Best Buy for anything else. read more

The day before release day, I was told, that per the manager, that the item I wanted would be available at a limit of 2 per person upon opening release day, since the app wasn't allowing any more preorders. I was second in line the next day at 6 am, just to find out an hour later, that suddenly Best Buy decided to allow for more preorders to be placed the night before at 10, and they resold all the inventory so they have 0 in stock on release day. Flaky, bad customer service, slow in procedure, and couldn't even manage the checkout line properly, allowing other guests to cut in front of those waiting longer. I pointed this out to the employee assisting and they just blankly stared back at me. Unfortunately, the employees here do not appear to care about their job too much (I can't blame them in some ways based on how present circumstances are in our economy and corporate atmosphere!), but this translates to little to no help and a waste of our time. I never write reviews for stores really but felt compelled to do so for this Pasadena Best Buy. The hubz and I walked in to browse refrigerators and large TVs before we move soon. Anthony, a genuine employee in the TV department asked if we needed help and when we said not really. We explained we were looking at 65 inch to 75 inch TVs and just wanted to see in person. He was super helpful and asked us to go to an area where you can sample both sizes on one screen. What I loved about it is that there is blue duct tape measured in front of the TVs so if you know the measurement between the TV wall and your couch area, you can see what TV sizes will be best in person! So useful especially when you are moving somewhere new or if you are in between two TV sizes and not sure if one is too small or too big for your potential TV viewing area. Today I went to Best Buy to buy a Yubico. The first employee said they didn't have any, but a moment later he brought one over and said it was the last one. I found it hard to believe there was only one left in the entire store. So I went to ask for help. A guy working in the Geek Squad area told me he'd never heard of it. Worried my English pronunciation might be off, I showed him "Yubico" written on a piece of paper. He still said the same thing. I was shocked. How could someone like that work at Best Buy and be in charge of the Geek Squad area? Did the two of them, or even the entire electronics department, conspire not to sell me this product?
