I came here looking for a receiver for my home theater. We were greedy when we walked in and that was it. I was surprised at how small this Best Buy is. I've never seen a Best Buy this small and it's located in a strip mall. We were looking for someone to help us no one ever came. We look at some things on our own look at the boxes and determine that we could find this receiver somewhere cheaper so we left I'm not sure if I would recommend this place. They're not good at making sure if customers are walking around in an area, they don't have anyone coming to make sure that they don't need any assistance. I had a very frustrating experience with Geek Squad today. I arrived at 12:16 PM and wasn't helped until around 12:55 PM. While I was waiting, a woman came in and interrupted the line, saying she had an appointment, which delayed everyone else. One of the employees eventually told me I could wait in a chair while he stepped away for about five minutes. During that time, another Geek Squad employee clearly saw that I had been waiting for nearly 40 minutes. Instead of helping me, he took the next customer who had just walked in. Waiting is one thing, but being completely overlooked after sitting there that long is unacceptable. Better communication and attention to customers who have been waiting would have made a huge difference. Worst Customer Service Experience in 20 Years of Shopping at Best Buy I've been a loyal Best Buy customer for over 20 years, but after my recent experience, I will *never* shop there again. I pre-ordered *Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom* with a special bonus that arrived **damaged** in the mail. As a collector, this was unacceptable. I immediately called customer service, and after **48 minutes** on the phone, I was essentially told they couldn't help me. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told the manager was "busy" and wouldn't be able to assist either. The rep basically told me they don't do anything there and that no one could help me. When I mentioned taking my business elsewhere, I was met with an attitude of complete indifference -- they clearly didn't care. So, I went to the store in person, hoping for a better outcome. I was shocked to see the same lack of service there. I had to tell the employee to put down his phone and help me. It's clear that Best Buy's standard of customer service has plummeted across the board. After **decades of patronage** and spending tens of thousands of dollars with Best Buy, I'm done. This Best Buy has been in this plaza for years. It draws in a lot of traffic because of the location and many items are out of stock often. I come here often with this past time needing help with an online return to store. Needed help with carrying a large return and an associate was nice to help although he ignored when I told him it was a really large box. (brought out a shopping cart) He realized I was telling the truth when he saw the box. My return process was okay, took longer than I thought about 15-20 minutes of standing and waiting and watching. The associates weren't really that careful with the items as I was ($6500 worth desktop and monitor), but I got my refund so I'm satisfied. read more

Horrible customer service. Today I ordered a surface tablet and chose the same day delivery offered at checkout. That was at 12 noon. Received none of the updates I was told to expect if something changed with the order. Every time I hit the link to my order it stated prepping for shipment, delivery today. Finally, I went online to my account and the order states no longer eligible for same day delivery. We'll try and ship in 1 to 2 days. This was 8 hours after placing the order. Still no email updating me though. Started a chat to request the order be cancelled and can't get through. Timer starts at 13 minutes wait time.... then 10 minutes... then jumped back to 12 minutes.... This isn't Christmas time its June!! Poor customer order handling and poor customer service from their online unit. I'm afraid Best Buy is going down the tubes. read more

Completely useless staff. Went in to find hdmi to rca converter, started looking through aisles and trying to get attention of a "sales person" Khalik who just stood there texting on his cell non stop without lifting his head once for 15 min straight, after not being able to grab his attention I eventually found RCA to hdmi converter only. I went up to the register at the tv section of the store asking another "bright sales person" Viriende or whatever her name was, if the store carries the reversed one. To which she replied "that would be impossible, because it would be backwards like hdmi to rca". What?? I had to pull up Best Buy website to prove to her that not only is it possible but the store carries it. After that she without any apology started looking up the item on the computer while looking as pissed off as possible. Oh she also said "must be a new item". It's not. Best Buy Associates will get you what you need? FAIL. Recently I decided it was time to become an adult and back up my computer with an external hard drive since the thing was about to explode. With anxiety I headed to the closest Best Buy, found an associate in the laptop section and told her what I was looking for and asked for her advice. That's where I went wrong. After giving her the run down of my specs (macbook pro, graphic designer etc) she reccommended the WD brand in my price range, I paid, and went home. I went home and couldn't figure the thing out. I felt dumb. Really dumb. Lost in a mall parking lot dumb. So i decided I was going to take it back and return it. When I return it i ask the customer service woman if a member of the Geek Squad could help me find something easier to use (because apparently I am now computer illiterate). So a Geek Squader looks at my returned item while I AGAIN give a run down of my specs... turns out I had been given a hard drive for a PC. Awesome. So glad they listened to me the first time. So i spend an extra $40 and get the mac formatted one. Success. I go home AGAIN. I'm ready to set it up and realize the size of the drive is smashed. Trip number 3 begins. Eventually I get what I need and the product DOES work wonderfully. The customer service associate that waited on me both times was very nice but was sure to tell me she was going home so if i came back she wouldn't be there. awesome. Moral of the story, next time I shop at Best Buy I am asking for a Geek Squad member to help me because the sales associates do not listen. At all. It used to be my Best Buy of choice for many years and sadly it looks like it's about to change. I was there last week to check the music quality of a pair of over-hyped headphones that costs $$$. On the way I also wanted to check the Samsung 9 and 3 series laptops and maybe pre-order a certain game for the ps3. Audio department: Although it's the closest department to the check out lane there is rarely a helpful soul to be found so I was kind of dumbstruck when I found the Monster-Diddy beats stand with only two pairs of headphones on display, one of the headphones was actually broken in half and the second half was missing. I was patiently waiting for assistance that came in form of a roaming manager who told me that they don't have these headphones in stock and no other store in the area did (wth, I mean, it's a fairly new product that is not likely to be sold out) but he did offer to order it to the store which would take about a week. Computer department: probably the only place in the store with readily available help. After I told the guy what I was looking for he told me to try another location because this one is the last to get all the new stuff and he doubts that they ever will get that model. Gaming department: There was no help to be found and when I did catch somebody from the T.V department the guy laughed at my question about pre-ordering and told me to go to their other location where they might know what I'm talking about. So when two out of three employees tell you to try another location it's quite alarming. Still, I like to roam the isles there even though I don't expect much help. read more

While this Best Buy is generally clean, organized and well-stocked I feel this business is severely lacking in customer service. Even when the building itself is not crowded, there always seems to be a line that's barely moving, due to a lack of available cashiers. Waiting in line, however, was the least of my problems. In a recent visit I had to hunt down an employee to assist me with a purchase, only to find a group of employees chatting leisurely in a circle, ignoring customers and continuing their conversation. When I did finally find someone to answer a few questions I had about a scanner, the employee was obviously not versed in the technical requirements and recommended a unit that was not compatible with my Mac. I had to later return to the store for a refund. Mistakes happen. But when I am not greeted by someone knowledgeable in a reasonable amount of time and instead have to go looking for an employee on my own only to find everyone chatting and having a good time instead of making sales...well, my money is going elsewhere. read more

When Best Buy first came into being, what wasn't there to love? Women & beer aside, it was a guy's paradise. A shining bastion of electronics, music, movies & video games. I've spent some dough there over the years. I don't visit Best Buy nearly as often as I used to. However, in the handful of times I have stopped in to find particular CDs or DVDs over the past few years, they frequently do not have what I am looking for. It may be just this location in particular, I'm not sure. The music section has been shoved off to the side and the music DVD selection is a shadow of its former self. You can blame it on the digital revolution if you want, but I still fucking buy and collect CDs! Let the naysayers say nay. They have small signs in the aisles which read, "Don't see what you're looking for. We'll gladly order it for you and ship it to you free of charge." When I go walk into a brick & mortar store for an item, it's so I am able to take it home that day and listen to/watch it. Why the hell would I physically go to a Best Buy to have them ship me something at a later date? Ever hear of Amazon.com? I can't say I would never go back to a Best Buy ever again, but it would most likely be to just window shop for audio/video components. I've found better prices on appliances and some electronics elsewhere. read more

The customer service here is great. The staff asks you if you need help or if you would like a suggestion when you are looking at a specific item. They don't just barge in on you and they don't ask repeatedly. They simply state their name and tell you that you could call them if you need anything. The Geek Squad know their stuff. I had my laptop fixed and returned in about a week. Nothing was erased from my computer and nothing was damaged. As good as it gets. Luckily for me, my laptop was still under warranty so I didn't have to pay for anything. The store is pretty big but you could easily distinguish what items are where. Its like a Toys R Us for adults!! If you don't have one yet, get a rewards card. Not the credit card, just the rewards card. The more money you spend, the more money you get back. Every time I buy something I use my coupons to get at least $15 off. Sometimes you get extras such as an additional 20% or 10% off coupon. Everyone likes to save money when possible. Just make sure you have them with you because you can't get the discount without them. Unfortunately they do expire. read more

Great Geek Squad. I was forced to use their service several times because I had too many problems will my HP laptop. I have to say that the service is very knowledgeable and they offer quick service. They are extremely nice and more than happy to help you. The only reason why this Best Buy location is receiving 3 stars is that they service (except of Geek Squad) is not so great. First, you have to search for them (it takes a while); not like in other stores where they ask if they can help with anything on every step. If you will get lucky to find someone, there are not always too helpful. Yes they are nice, but my last experience wasn't too great. I was planning to buy a new camera and I had few question about it and sadly no one could satisfy me with their help. I think that they should train their workers better. read more

It's probably as good as it gets as far as big name stores are concerned. It's easy to find assistant if you need it and the customer service surpasses most big name boxes. The store is clean and has a great presentation. I've never been a big fan of extended warranties unless it was larger items so I am pleased they aren't trying to rip people off at the register with magazine sales or warranties on movies and game discs. There is never much of a wait to check out and the staff there is much more appealing than that of most retail stores. If you are a regular shopper you can steal find some amazing deals on particular items. Not to mention I am a big fan of the website. I read and write reviews on items there and it has helped me with my shopping immensely. Note: I worked at this place almost a decade ago and have seen it's up and downs in the past. I am much more a fan as a customer then I was as an employee. Morale seems at an all time high and product selection has been really good lately. read more

This is my favorite Best Buy in the Philly area. I've always received reasonably fast assistance when needed, there was a lack of obnoxious teenagers, plenty of close parking and affable cashiers directing fast-moving lines. There's a good A/V component section, which is what usually brings me here. I've also purchased televisions here on a couple occasions. The DVD and music selections are atrocious, but that's not a factor for me. Fantastic video game selection, though. I would give this location 5 stars if the software selection was as good as the video games. Not too much to complain about here. read more

I got inline for customer service, the lady sent me to Mobile department to get the gold one, I waited inline for 20 mins, They told me They don't deal with the Apple watches, so I went back to customer service back inline.
