She ran an update on it and then couldn't start her phone. Dtown Tech took a look at it, determined that something caused the update to not complete. They completed the update and restarted her phone. It took just a few minutes and they didn't charge me. Those few minutes they gave me could've been spent on a billable project for them. After all, if they have Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile, they must know the deals for all and be able provide suggestions. My husband and I met with assistant manager Bill, who was wonderful. He listed to our needs and concerns and suggest a cell plan without bias or pushy salesmanship (that I have experienced in typical mobile service stores). He stayed with us through the store's closing time to ensure that our phones were fully transferred and helped us with everything that we needed without being pushy. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who is sick of the games that the wireless companies are playing.

I had him call the owner and then the owner gave me a third quote for $200. Whatever just replace the screen. They replaced the screen and now I'm having trouble with the sensor at the top so when I use WhatsApp and try to play a voice clip the phone screen turns black like I'm covering the sensor even though the phone is a few feet away from me. Sometimes I can't take phone calls unless I hit the power button to close the phone and hit the power button again to show the screen. I have a lot of issues with the touch screen not responding. The top of the phone where the screen meets the housing flexes in and out so my best guess is that they didn't glue the top properly. I called the owner asking for a refund and my old screen back but he refused the refund and offered to replace the screen. He told me that this is a third party screen which I can confirm because I saw the Chinese letters on the box. He said that the functionality might be different because it's not an OEM screen. Could have paid $100 more and went to uBreakiFix and had a perfectly brand new screen. Which is what I wish I would have done in the first place. My suggestion to anyone coming here is to avoid this place!! The phone call with the owner ended up in a yelling match with him trying to talk over me and me trying to talk over him with me hanging up at the end. This place did offer to replace the first screen that they messed up. They can't get it right the first time why do they think that I would allow them to touch my phone a second time. Plus they wouldn't offer a refund which is what I wanted. They replaced my old screen and now this one has tons of issues and the screen isn't glued at the top and it's pulled away which is visibly noticeable. I'm just going to take the $200 loss and then when this screen goes I'll go to ubreakifixit

If you want the experience of a big box store that has almost everything, and is the same in every city or town, and where no one cares about anything, don't come to Kilian's. But if you want to talk to a real person about what concrete anchors they recommend, or about which adhesives work best for pressure treated lumber, you could do worse.
