Well, my experience with Best Buy has been awful. I went to buy a new computer, which was on sale. Told it would be delivered the next day. So I canceled doctors appointment, stayed home,NO DELIVERY, NO PHONE CALL, NO EMAIL. EACH TIME I FINALLY GOT THROUGH TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. they would tell me a different day that it was gonna be delivered on. I could not get a straight answer from anyone. Finally was told to call corporate service, and they said it would be delivered on 22 September. I bought it on 7 September and it was charged to my charge account at that time. Well, I don't know yet because it's not the 22nd, but I have my doubts that it's gonna show up. Cancelling a delivery 3 hours before the scheduled window is not a good practice. The excuse of "a truck breaking down" should not be the customer's burden when it isn't even noon and there's time to adjust. A customer in front of me told me she's been dealing with delivery delays for 3 weeks. Not an option when food is thawing in a broken refrigerator. The manager on duty (Mo) had nothing to say except that he could reschedule it 3 days out. Lowe's came through in a pinch and has earned my appliance business moving forward. Plenty of other options for anything else needed, and no reason to shop here ever again. read more

A quick and painless laptop shop. I went to this location with the intention of window shopping but managed to find a great deal on a pretty good laptop. Unfortunately the one I wanted was not in stock, but Miguel helped me place my order to be picked up at the nearest stocked location. He was fantastically helpful and friendly and was not pushy in selling me extra add ons l did not want. From walking in the front door and leaving with receipt in hand, it took about fifteen minutes. Had my choice of laptop been there it would have been even better, but they were clearly restocking that day with pallet lifts and employees around to help direct product and keep customers out of harm's way if need be. I'd definitely recommend this location if you're looking for new tech. One way or another, I'm pretty sure you'll get what you need. read more

Was just in the Best Buy legacy store to pick up a new IMAC the young girl at the pickup was the rudest young woman! I asked if she could open the box that the computer was supposedly in so I could make sure my $2000 purchase was indeed in the box. Her words were you can open it!!!!! Excuse me I just purchased a computer and before I leave the store I want to make sure the computer is in the box. I opened the box and yes it was in the box, then we proceeded to take our purchase and she told me I must take the shipping box with me!!!! I have just realized why this girl gets away with being as rude and crashed as she is you call the Best Buy legacy telephone number and you get a remote person. There is no way to call the store or call corporate and make a complaint so of course, these people will continue to treat everybody as rudely as possible. The store is approximately 30 minutes from my home, but I will make sure on Monday morning when the manager should be there that I will be taking another drive to Best Buy to complain about the way I was treated in their store. No accountability for rudeness or poor behavior. I had my grandchildren with me at the time and didn't think it was appropriate timing to complain. They don't give you an accurate time for installation service. The tracker on line is not updated - it tells you from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM all day. We were told 9:30 to 11:30. Then 1:00 to 2:00. Now we are looking at 3:00. 3:40 arrival. Yay! You won't get a straight answer and when you call in you get a foreign country call center. It's a chaotic mess. Bye bye bestBYE! I will never buy from you again! The extended warranty is a scam and waste of time and $. You pay the $180 a year for free labor and parts. This only covers one year after manufacture warranty. Plus you have to pay a $50 to $100 service fee for them to come look at device. Because they don't look at appliances if you take them into the store. You schedule an appointment 3 days out and take a day off work because they won't let you take the appliance into the store. I know because I took my microwave in and they refused to look at it. They said I have to schedule a service call. Then they email you the day before the scheduled appointment to say they have to reschedule you. So I paid 2 years X $180 a year and $50 service fee for a microwave that cost $400. Here is what happened after the technician got to my house. He opened the microwave. He took a couple pictures of the -SE_ code that was shown, (the same code I told them the day that I called to make the appointment. Then he said he needs to go all the way back to the store to see what the code means so they know how to fix it. I MEAN SERIOUSY? You knew the code before even sending the guy out. NOW, my girlfriend took two days off for them to reschedule one day then come for 10 minutes, take pictures and leave. Now they rescheduled us for Aug 1st to come out and supposedly fix it. ANOTHER DAY MY GIRLFRIEND HAS TO TAKE OFF WORK TO BE AT THE HOUSE... All this could have been taken care of at the store when I drove it over there. I haven't been to this particular Best Buy location in about 5 years. 1, I'm not sure why they now call it Best Buy Legacy, maybe Legacy is the name of that part of town. 2, the selection here, from what I remember, is now scarce. It could be due to supply issues with Covid, but it just wasn't enough to just roam around and kill time like I used to. As I walked in, I was immediately greeted by two friendly employees. I went to look for a specific item and just kill some time. Well, there weren't many options for my item so that didn't take up too much of my time. Normally this is my store. The Geek Squad group is normally helpful and has saved my butt before. Well, I guess they didn't take care of their people because all the real 'help' left. I am so very unhappy with them at the moment... They upsell service plans through Geek Squad - my spouse bought a service plan along with several programs and gifted me. Knowing I work a lot and would not have the time... he bought a service plan so someone would help by putting things on it and setting it up. I came in today for service (with an appointment) and the young woman at Geek Squad would not even look at my computer, accessories, and programs. She did offer objection after objection how my service was not included in the plan my husband purchased (it is) then she conveyed it was covered but it would be over a week before I would get it back. They could not service my laptop at the time of my appointment and was very satisfied with me leaving the store. Horrible service- I have another appointment through their corporate at a different location and I hope that at this next appointment I will not requesting a 'service plan' refund. Hey, Best Buy- don't charge people $100's of a service plan you don't intent to make your employees honor. I'm grateful that Best Buy has been able to adapt to the current COVID-19 situation and is open to fill our electronics needs. With that being said they are currently (May 16) going by appointments only and are 30 minute blocks. Appointments fill up fast and can be at least 2-3 days out. Once you arrive at your appointment time, park in designated parking spot, let them know you've arrived and someone will come out to escort you in the building. Masks are required. Once in there, your appointment time goes fast and your kind of rushed. Although our sales guy was informative we were rushed at the end. I was there to help a disabled senior citizen and think Best Buy should offer a special appointment time for persons with disabilities. Their inventory is limited and nothing is on sale. Haven't been to BB in years. But we decided to check out what they have available in dishwashers as our has leaked all over the house and destroyed floors, cabinets and walls. We were helped very quickly and answers to many questions were given. The prices were very competitive to our usual place. However, there seems to be a product availability issue affecting the industry nationwide. There is nothing we wanted even available to look at even though things are shown as on-sale on websites. Either it is out of stock with no date of restock or will be in stock on such and such date, and that date keeps changing. Yet they will gladly accept our $$ for us to wait for a delivery that is delayed and may be delayed again, especially if you want the sale price. We will have to either wait for what the 'rib' wants to be available or get something less than what she wants. I don't really mind if we (she) have to keep hand washing dishes until she can get what she wants. :) read more

Best Buy is an absolute joke! I bought a 75" tv and the extended protection, and Total Tech protection. The tv broke after 9 months of use. It has been a month with a broken tv and they still can't seem to get it right. The technician said he knew exactly why the problem was, but didn't bring the part! And then he had to order it (10 days out) and then he had to be scheduled (7 days out). You cannot for the life of you get anyone on the phone to help you. Have sat on hold for hours. Seems like everyone passing by me while I stand here in front of the VIZIO TV display is too busy to even ask the basic question, "Do you need help?" So far, there have been four. And that last two that passed right in front of me with carts and didn't even try to make eye contact as I looked directly at them. Do they work on commission here? I'm guessing not. But I see that gaggle of employees over seem to be having fun scratching each other's backs and bullshitting around. I'll give it another 10 minutes on top of the 10 minutes I've been standing here so far... UPDATE 1: This dude has passed me twice and is too busy checking his phone to help anyone. I just watched another customer ask him for help and he barely answered the question the customer had before walking away. The customer had to call him back to ask another question. What the hell are these employees doing...??? UPDATE 2: Walked up to the front and deliberately stood nearby customer service and a female employee. FINALLY someone (she) asked if I needed help. Told her I needed help over the last 15 minutes while I was standing back there (by the TVs) and nobody came, so I'd take my business elsewhere. She replied, "Sorry, sir." I left. This review is specifically for my experience in purchasing a new cell phone recently and, even more specifically, for Julian who turned a pretty bad first impression into a much better one. Spent 3 (!!) hours there trying to purchase a new phone a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the employees don't have the access or ability to do everything on their own, so the associate spent hours on the phone with the carrier and, after three hours, I had a phone ordered (because there are shortages, so I understood the reason for the delay) BUT it took so long that the phone I really wanted was no longer available by the time the carrier interaction was over. I ordered a different one. The phone finally arrived but it just wasn't working properly. Wouldn't engage for data transfer, came with an outdated SD card, etc. and we spent another two hours in the store trying to figure it all out. Julian to the rescue! He went above and beyond in his service, got the financial end of returning a phone sorted out, managed to get me a new unit, expedited, even kept in touch with me during the whole ordeal. It definitely took longer than expected but, thanks to him, I have a new phone that's functioning as it's supposed to. Thanks, Julian! read more

Consistently terrible service with sales associates that do not know enough about their products. I recently went to go get some new headphones for working out, my only requirement being that they are wireless. The associate recommends some Bose headphones that I get, I have other Bose speakers and headphones and I understood the quality I would be receiving. He assured me they were wireless. I get home to open them and sure enough they are NOT wireless. I recommend you do all of your own research before you come into this (or any) Best Buy store. read more

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my wonderful shopping experience at the Best Buy "Legacy Store" in San Antonio, TX. On Tuesday, February 25, 2020. I was in a dire need for a new big screen television. I also needed three (3) televisions mounted, with all the wires concealed in the wall. My search for the ultimate big screen TV had come full circle. I checked the BX, Costco, Sams and Walmart to no avail. However, my neighbor James told me if anyone could have the TV and the services you desire it would be the Best Buy located at 2003 N Loop 1604 E in San Antonio. New to Texas but not Best Buy I complied. I entered this Best Buy store and was greeted with smiles and pleasantries. Southern hospitality at it's finest. I reached electronics and encountered a sales representative who resembles Catfish Hunter. A former pitcher for the Oakland Athletics. He was busy with another customer. However, he immediately requested some additional help for me. A young strapping Millennial by the name of Mr. John Gutierrez introduced himself. I began to inform him of my needs as he listened tentatively to all my questions and concerns. At this point I had never mentioned the fact I was in the market for a new big screen TV for our media room. However, he went on to show me all the necessary equipment I would need to hang the other two (2) televisions and conceal the wires in the walk for the two (2) I already own. He then began to search for a date to complete my request. Then just before he completed that task. He told me I think you need a brand new big screen TV for your new house and media room. This young Millennial had just read my mind. He showed me the perfect 86" LG big screen TV, which of course was on sale. I told him that's exactly what I need. So he set up an additional date to deliver my new TV and mount it, exactly four (4) days later. John's attention to detail and focus was incredible. His impeccable customer service skills, listening skills and diplomacy would make him a perfect fit for management. John is a tremendous asset to this particular Best Buy store and the company. This young man should be promoted immediately ahead of his peers and given more work hours. He should also be teaching and training customer service to new and all employees of Best Buy in this district. John is an invaluable asset to your corporation and should be not lost to your competitors. Like Costco, Sams and or Walmart. This kid is incredible. John had discovered my wife has the tech support package and informed me that would save us bundles. Then he brought over his muscle. Jessie, to close the deal. At this point these two (2) awesome individuals were gallantly trying to get me to sign up for the Best Buy card. Together these two work well as a team. However, I declined and cut my losses. Mr. John Gutierrez and Jessie both exemplify courtesy, loyalty, motivation, selfless service and placing the customer first. I certainly appreciate excellent customer service. John distinguished himself with his sound technical expertise and can do attitude. I just love his passion for his job. His enthusiasm and dedication inspired me. I just had to share his enthusiasm and zeal with his Manager. Who too tried to get me to apply for the Best Buy card. No such luck! She was incredible and she's blessed to have a team of associates who admire her leadership skills. I can clearly see why their attendance record are off the charts. Some of the prettiest women in Texas work at this particular Best Buy Store "Legacy" Oh and by the way his Manager is beautiful. She has a Smile bigger than the entire State of Texas. And she's very charming and professional. So it is for this exemplary performance by young John Gutierrez. I am forever grateful to him for providing me with an excellent electronic buying experience. Thanks to this young gentleman I've become a lifelong customer of Best Buy. Specifically this young man and this specific store. Oh, and by the way I went home and went online the very next day and applied for the Best Buy card. I got here at 10:49 am appointment with Geek Squad to get my Surface Go looked at, I did call twice from construction zone traffic and was cut off while the phone rang to Geek Squad. When I got here it took the Geek Squad customer service guy 10 minutes to tell me I was late and they had moved on even though the name before my own appointment was still lit upp4?. He told me to wait in line and someone might help me. I am sorry, but when you pay ad much as you do for Geek Squad you'd expect someone to answer the phone or for a little customer service when you arrive 9 minutes late. I am waiting in line still and will update my review whether I am seen or not. After searching for someone to assist us, none of the sound bars were working. We found one possibility and has to search for assistance again. All sales people were either chatting and joking around with each other or on their phones and definitely RUDE! I have had the worst experience with Best Buy and the 3rd party installation company they work with. We bought 5 pieces of kitchen equipment and buying it was the easy part. We had some issues with the warehouse who schedules deliveries and the installers. I had to take off of work 10xs to complete the installation process...and it's still not complete. The first installers damaged my new frig when installing it, damaged my existing frig during the relocation move and damaged my wall when installing the frig. The installer was completely unprofessional...he called me sweetheart several times. The installers also refused to install 3 pieces of equipment and stated I needed to call an electrician and a plumber to repair issues before they could complete the install.in the end they didn't need to be called. I've also been dealing with the warehouse who schedules installations. The warehouse schedules appointments without your approval or consideration of your work schedule. I'm going on 7 times of replacing the damaged frig and now the warehouse won't release my order since they delivered the frig the week we were out of the country. This scheduled delivery was never approved by myself or my husband and the Best Buy manager knew we would be unavailable that week. Why is this taken so long to get resolved and why am I having issues with every frig delivered is damaged in some way. I am beyond frustrated and this is why I feel compelled to write this review in hopes someone will resolve this issue immediately. I would never refer anyone to bestbuy to purchase kitchen equipment.
