I drove past this Best Buy a few times, then. dropped by, initially just to use the bathroom actually, funnily enough -- they are one of the stores that have one, a rarity nowadays, sadly, but I digress. And then I thought -- why don't I shop here? They seem like they care about their customers. I used to drive to the Apple Store down in ABQ for all my Apple needs but I decided to check things out here and -- I got new Airpods Pro Max -- was cheaper than anywhere else, still wear them, that was maybe 6 months ago. Then I got an iPad for my mom, also got me a great price -- they do price matching too so I got a great price on it. I got the Best Buy Plus membership and card and that saved me a bunch of money as they have cheaper rates for members and cash back so I think I already paid for the price of the membership like 12 years ahead. Then I was looking for a Macbook Pro -- an important purchase -- and Nick helped and was so gracious and helpful in helping me find exactly what I needed at a terrific price. It was the perfect machine and I really appreciated how much time and attention was given to me. Then I also got myself a pair of the new Airpods Pro 4 -- it was also really great because first I thought I didn't need the noise cancellation -- but then after buying I realized that the Airpods with no noise cancellation didn't have Transparency Mode either. And while I rarely use Noise Cancelation, I very much need Transparency! Went and exchanged it the next day -- no problem at all. And also as a Plus Member I get 60 days of returns so it feels good that I can try stuff out and return if it doesn't work out. Every employee I encounter was very helpful and kind. So, yeah I'm customer for life -- it feels good to be able to try things out and deal with pleasant and trustworthy people who are trying to help you -- I bought 4 things here -- and every one of them was an unimaginably good deal that I can't imagine getting anywhere else. And I guess it's in the name -- Best Buy so it all connects. I've had my eye on a new washing machine/dryer next, I know where I'll coming for that. And when my veteran 8 year old TCL TV dies -- which it will probably never do! =) But, yeah, I had a great experience here and with getting great authentic advice, quality products, easy returns, and GREAT prices -- this can't be beat. Stopped in to get mom a new chromebook during their 4th of July sale as she has not used a laptop in years and I wanted to get her something a little more compact, yet bigger than her current tablets. Selection of notebooks/chromebooks was good; however, we settled on an HP laptop for a mere 10.00 more! The display unit was a little annoying in the sense of the alarm going off each time you picked it up (I get it with today's looters and thieves). There were several customers in the store at the same time, and those employees did not once look up from their personal conversations to help a single customer including me. My wife and I are shopping for a new TV and I thought, why not try a local Santa Fe store instead of shopping on Amazon. I drove over to Best Buy and the store was not crowded at all, which is normally a good thing when trying to be waited on. NOT SO AT BEST BUY. I was at the back of the store and didn't really see any employees. There was literally no one in the vast TV shopping area t the back. I started to walk to the front to ask for help when an older blonde woman in a mask came walking towards me down the aisle. I said "excuse me, could I get someone to help me in the TV department"? She didn't even slow down but said "Go to the front and stand in line with everyone else". There was literally maybe one other customer in the store. I said "Are you that short handed that you can't stop", she just kept walking. I told her this is the reason that people shop at Amazon. She replied as she walked into the employee only section "Shop at Amazon, I don't care". I will NEVER step foot in another Best Buy store. Customer service in general has not really ever recovered after Covid, but come on, this is incredibly ridiculous. Avoid buying appliances if you can, Best Buy will not value your time. after months of dealing with rescheduling deliveries and only 1/4 appliances delivered, with some deliveries rescheduled the day of the delivery, i e already wasted a good few vacation days. for those curious, I ended up breaking down and actively searching for what was causing the delays. After getting bounced around from agent to agent basically telling me nobody knows or can know, because it's all in thier system, I finally was able to talk to an agent who told me what was going on. Basically, every delivery date given by Best Buy is tentative. nothing is confirmed untill the tech confirms the delivery on the route. This can happen a week in advance, a day in advance, or as I found out from personal experience even after the delivery is a no show. Nothing is confirmed. The sad thing too is that they one appliance they have been able to deliver was shoddily installed as well and required me to go back and fix their work a bit. All in all a nightmare to order from. I was visiting my family from out of state and I went with my dad to take a divorce that needed a factory reset.. The Worker that was posted by the door was very rude and kept implying that we needed to pay for that service as if we didn't know that already and he was very rude evidentially because I have an accent he treated us very unwelcoming. I went into the Best Buy on Zafarano with the intention of purchasing a television that was over $1,000. After walking around the TV's for 15 minutes without seeing ONE SINGLE SALESMAN, I went to the employee at the phone department desk who was, of course, texting on her telephone. I kindly asked her if I could get someone to help me buy a TV. Then I waited another 15 minutes without seeing any salesmen or customers in the TV section. So I went back up to the salesclerk and said that I was still waiting and the nobody has come. She then gave me a snotty remark about she already called someone. I then waited another 10 minutes then gave up and told her as I was leaving that I was trying to purchase a TV but nobody helped me so I was leaving. Her response was "OK BYE". The two people standing at the podium by the front door didn't care either when said I was trying to purshase a TV and nobody helped me so I was leaving and they lost a $1,000 sale. The entire store was empty at 11:30 am on a Thursday. Apparently, Best Buy doesn't need to sell anything anymore! This is the worst store for any sort of customer service. Well I went in this afternoon about a half hour ago and walked around looking for help, asked 3 employees to get me some help 2 different times and no one ever came. On the cameras you will see me walking all over the store while I imagine you can see several employees not bothering to ask me if I needed help but rather just talking to other employees. When I walked out I looked to the register people I had asked earlier to get me help and said, " bye, I'm leaving because nobody seems to be able to help me." Well, after looking around in the refrigerators for about 15 minutes, no one came over to ask us if we needed help, so I went to the guy at the front and he said he's send someone over. A gentlemen came down our aisle, but honestly, maybe he was just passing through because he kept moving through the aisle as I greeted him...but I was talking at the same time about what we were looking for..as he passed me he turned around for a sec to hear me out. They have a sign-in system for Geek Squad and they don't use it. I've come twice to try and pick up my computer. One time I was there for 20 minutes with no acknowledgement, so I left. and currently I'm here waiting and watching people walk up and get help while people with appointments have been waiting for more than a half hour. I get that people are understaffed but then take fewer appointments so that the staff can keep up. read more

I paid for the Best Buy Membership when I bought my very expensive Lenovo Laptop/tablet at this store. They were to transfer my data, but when I came to pick it up (over a week later) there was no data apparent. The Geek Squad member told me it was in Downloads. I did not even get to sit with someone and had to stand at the counter looking through the machine. I never did find it and just downloaded my own files from my OneDrive. Worthless. Now I just paid $1150 for a new iPhone over the website. I asked at the store would they transfer my data and set up the phone - yes, says the sales kid. Then I pick it up and they say for set up go to the Geek Squad area. Well, they are by appointment only and I cannot get it set up for days and it is drop off - they will have to keep my phone. I bought an external hard drive at Dot Foil that stopped showing up on my mac . Dot Foil wanted 90$ just to plug it in and see if it was visible. This Best Buy doesn't do me well. I went in and asked for a CPU fan, a common piece of equipment that any PC aficionado is familiar with and one which should have been available in numerous varieties and makes. After several employees vainly tried to locate even a single such device for me, they determined that there were none in the store. On another occasion, I went by to purchase some audio equipment. My new Blu-Ray player's coaxial output was incompatible with the analog RCA inputs of my Yamaha mixer. None of the employees were savvy enough in this arena to offer assistance, and the adapters I left with ended up not working. I did get good service once. I was thirsty and purchased a beverage out the refrigerator by the cash register. From now on, I may just treat this Best Buy like a soda stand. At least their drinks are reliable. read more

They are very rude and don't seem like they really want to help you and they don't care that you drove all the way out there so we live in Albuquerque. We ordered a computer monitor for same day pick up the Albuquerque stores did not have it in stock they said Santa Fe has it will be ready in an hour. They said yeah you can buy this it was 169 which was fine. It was less than what I paid. Once we got up to pay for it. The guy that rang it up was like well it's not ringing up and then told me it's 269 he goes. I can drop it to 200 that's about it. I said well. Alex told me it was this price And he rang it up and this where I really started getting mad he made it sound like I was lying. He's like why don't know how he rang it up if it's not ringing up up here. I said well you can go talk to Alex he goes he's with a customer and I said OK but you can just ask him a simple question. In November of 2022 I needed to get a new phone. I went to the Best Buy in Santa Fe and after looking at a few different models, I saw the Samsung Fold out phone. I asked the clerk at the desk in that department, and he proceeded to tell me about the phone. He assured me it had lost and or stolen protection. I applied for the Best Buy Credit card, also got the tech plan and bought the phone. On Friday, April 21, 2023, I realized that my phone was missing. I searched everywhere and could not find it. I called the corporate office and asked if indeed I had the lost and stolen protection plan, they said that I did. I asked what I needed to take with me to the store, and she said to give them my name and the clerk should be able to help me. I told her that I live about 40 miles away from the Santa Fe Best Buy and asked again was there anything I needed to take with me. She said no. So the next day I went. The clerk/cashier there said that I did not have the lost / stolen protection, and that I never had it because it is not offered for my phone. I was livid! I would never have bought such an expensive phone if it was not covered by that plan. I feel mislead and lied to- TWICE. I called corporate and spoke to someone there that kept trying to pass me off to the tech program to explain what they do cover, and I kept saying no, that has nothing to do with the 2 employees that lied to me- and had misrepresented the services offered by the tech program. I brought my Asus N500J laptop here for a simple recovery of the data on the internal HDD. A young man named Morgan(Who I'm pretty sure was stoned out of his head) received my computer, and informed me of the cost, and process, and I left my laptop for the recovery. Fast forward to the next day: I get a call from the same Technician (Morgan) who lets me know that the laptop and backup drive are ready for pickup. I go immediately to the store to pick it up, am greeted by the same tech (Kudos for that!). However, right away I notice that there are screws missing from the bottom cover, which I point out, the kid seems annoyed that I notice, but says he will talk to the tech who worked on it to find the missing hardware. After waiting around for almost an hour I am told that the screws will have to be ordered, and am asked how I would like to PAY FOR THEM!? I argue that the screws were indeed there when I dropped off the laptop, and I should not have to pay for their replacement when they were lost while in GeekSquads possession. The Tech Morgan literally blows raspberries at me and says there is no way I can prove that. I refused to pick up the laptop, or pay for services until the missing screws are replaced at no cost to me. A week later I get a call from a different tech (Amber?) she tells me that my laptop is ready for pick up, I ask if the screws have been replaced and am answered with confusion - turns out the laptop was just put on a shelf in the shop for a week, no hardware ordered - nothing! I tell this tech to just keep the back up, and I will pick up my computer and find another place to do the work. She says this will be fine. HOWEVER - Once I get to the store I run into my old friend Morgan, who tells me that they sent my laptop off to their repair center to get the screws replaced!!! I ask for Amber, who comes out of the back and tell me "Oh no, I don't know what he is talking about" and brings me my laptop to the front counter, but the laptop now has a dent on the front face, "ok, whatever, cut my losses and get the hell out of here- it's just cosmetic" I think to myself, and take my laptop home. I get the damn thing up and running, and find that the touchscreen is not functioning exactly where the dent is on the front cover: call GeekSquad and am greeted by Morgan, who hangs up on my once he realizes who he is talking to, call back- same thing. Go in to the store again, and am told that because I refused their services that they are not liable for any damage that has occurred!!!! I know I have been ranting in this review, but I am so damn mad about this whole experience. GeekSquad has failed me in so many ways, I have learned my lesson and will find a local repair shop that can handle this. read more
