Absolute torture shopping here. I've been ordering delivery since 2021 to this exact apartment and suddenly the driver has started stealing my deliveries. My neighbor saw the Hone Depot driver pull up, take a picture of my apartment and drive away without bringing me my delivery. Then for a week i tried to get it redelivered but they failed over and over. the manager hangs up, the staff hangs up, the assistant managers and floor managers hang up. literally no one had any idea what they are doing. First impression was dirty and very messy. The parking lot is filled with carts and of course none to use inside. I noticed right away. The first two employees were on their phones. One of them even had his foot up on the counter. Then I encountered a girl in the garden area eating lunch on the sales floor from McDonald's. Why on earth are your employees stocking with big machinery and closing down several aisles in the middle of the day 12:45 PM? Couldn't find what I wanted no garden vegetables. This Home Depot is one of the worst I've been to. I tried to get them to cut a piece of PVC pipe in half so I could fit it in my car. It's hard to find the words. Taking deep calming breaths. Centers self. Nope, I just have to rant for a moment. Went in on a Saturday morning at around ten. They were busy, but you couldn't check out. It was like standing in line at a trendy club in LA. People backed up twenty deep getting angrier by the minute because there were self checkout kiosks going, and of the four only two of those worked. Aggravated doesn't even come close. If only we were provided with some entertainment to keep us occupied as we waited. Oh, that's right! We totally were, as out comes a manager following some dude out the door. The manager is yelling at the top of his lunges "Get the f#(k out of my store! I'll beat your ass if I ever catch you in here again! I don't care, call the cops, but do it from outside or I'll beat you a$$! Now get the f# ... so yeah, you get the point here. Now keeping in mind that there are kids in this line as well. When I got up to the kiosk a girl finally came up to reset the non functional checkouts. I asked her what that was all about and she nonchalantly told me they had caught somebody using drugs in their bathrooms. As if this was an everyday occurrence for them. So I would agree as a store manager or employee I wouldn't have been happy about it, but I might have tried to handle the situation in a bit more low key manner than that. read more

The staff was not nearly as helpful as other Home Depot spots. Took several employees before we were told correctly which aisle to find what we needed. These start at $19 for 75 minutes to Load N Go, so it was a great deal. The gentlemen that worked at the service desk when we arrived and returned with the truck were very friendly. It is so frustrating to deal with an appliance delivery from Home Depot. So, I had an upright freezer delivered today and the door was not installed correctly and does not close fully. Before I knew this was the case I tipped both delivery guys well (regretfully). The store is unable to do much. They are trying to get a hold of the drivers to come back and fix it but it has been a couple hours now with no word. So they added an appointment for me in 5 days to have the door adjusted. Home Depot uses chainsaws and leaf blowers for an hour straight as late as 11:30pm at night. Are they sawing logs with 20 chainsaws at once? I don't know, but it sounds like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre in my apartment every single night. There's also a huge speaker at night that repeats "THIS IS A NO LOITERING ZONE" every 15 minutes. The Online orders service is very poorly managed at the Santa Fe store. I put in an order for a pallet of mulch that was apparently in stock early Monday morning hoping to be able to pick it up either that day or the next. They were to let me know when the order was ready for pickup. By Tuesday afternoon I called the service desk. It took the courteous lady a while but finally found the paperwork which hadn't been put out for fulfillment. I finally got a voicemail Thursday morning letting me know the order was ready. They couldn't email me because their email system wasn't working!!! I got to the store that afternoon, checked in at the service desk and proceeded to wait out in the area where the stuff was stored behind a locked gate. About fifteen minutes later a worker showed up with the forklift but did not have a key. He said we needed to wait for a manager to unlock the gate. A half hour after that I lost patience and went inside and cancelled the order. All the employees I spoke with were very apologetic and I could tell were frustrated. Beware. read more

I purchased a new 6 burner 36" LP gas range to replace my 30 year old range for which parts are no longer available. I did the entire transaction on line with only two phone calls to their appliance department. Both times I spoke with Kim who was very knowledgable and gave me sound advice. The new one wasn't in stock but would be shipped directly to my house at no additional charge to me. I was advised of the delivery date and took Kim's recommendation for an installer. I contacted the installer and gave him the details.we agreed to keep the dialogue going via text messages. The trucking company contacted me with exact delivery information and I contacted the installer just to stay current on the project. It was agreed that they would remove the old range and take it with them. The trucking company delivered right on schedule and put the new range in my garage for safekeeping. There was no charge. I contacted the installer and we set a time to do the work. The installer showed up right on time and got straight to work. We started by unwrapping the new range to verify it's details. Next they removed the old range. After taking a door off it's hinges, they were able to get the range out of the house. They moved the new range in, did some minor work on the gas fittings, cleaned the floor and a carefully slid the new range into place. The electrical and gas hookups were tested and all seemed satisfactory. After checking the oven interior and installing the broiler drip tray, they started the oven which came on immediately. We then installed the control knobs for the range top and lit all the burners as a test, all was working perfectly. We assembled all the paperwork including shipping bills, stove manuals, etc. so that it was all in one place. The old range was then loaded into their tuck along with the packing materials from the new range. We went over the bill for the installation and agreed on everything before I paid them with a bank card. We all agreed it was a job well done and they were on their way. The installation took about an hour and a half total. The stove works perfectly and the door that had been removed to facilitate moving things had been remounted and worked as it had before. Nothing quite as satisfying as watching skilled professionals do an excellent job with no problems. read more

The customer service rep was talking to someone on her blue tooth the entire time...eating a chili dog. Sent me to go talk to the paint department...who sent me back to talk to her. Another salesperson came to help. I was told I would have to come back (2 days later)...and the merchandise would be ready as a "will call".. I had to travel about 60 miles to and from. Made a phone call as I headed that way and was told that they'd get the order ready if they had time. I explained that it was a "will call" and I was traveling from out of town. The item was supposed to be sent to Santa Fe store but unfortunately they sent to Albuquerque store; they told us that happens sometimes. They would not send to Santa Fe store for us and when we tried to cancel, unfortunately they said we had to come into the store to cancel.....they had no problem letting us order on our computer, but would not let us cancel online or over the phone. Visited this store this morning from 40 miles away in hopes of getting all of my home security equipment which showed to be available online. Since all equipment of this nature is locked up in the cages at the front of the store, I asked for assistance from a young lady that was near the cage. After telling the young lady that I knew what I needed and had done the research on product availability in the store she proceeded to tell me that she was sold out of the equipment I needed and that the Home Depot app is constantly inaccurate. I expressed that I understood that but I still needed her to check. She opened the cage and said "see, we are sold out". I looked in the cage and staring us in the face was the security camera I was inquiring about. She continued to argue about how inaccurate the app is and was very confrontational. I felt like I was inconveniencing her by asking her for items that were in the cage. She made more of an effort to not sell products to me than to assist me. I finally told her "never mind, I do not want to deal with you". As I was exiting the store I asked another employee where I could find the manager. The employee pointed back at the young lady that had NOT helped me. I couldn't believe it! This young lady was the manager! As I continued to walk out of the store, this young lady followed me out of the store trying to engage in an argument with me. With other people around I finally had to say "Please stop harassing me". She continued to try to engage with me until I got into my car. At that point I sat in my car and ordered all the equipment I needed from Amazon which was significantly cheaper in price. Maybe this young lady was having a bad day but this experience has cost Home Depot one more patron. My advice would be that if it is not on the shelf where you can find by yourself, go to the parking lot and order online. read more

There was not enough help and we were told if we wanted to get something in plumbing we would have to wait at least 45 minutes until people got back from lunch. So, we drive to Home Depot and I'm so glad we did. Home Depot had lots of happy, knowledgeable people who wanted to help us. We were given numerous options about what we wanted and selected the best for our needs. It will also be installed for us. We ended up buying a few other items while we were there. Another wonderful shopping experience at Home Depot Santa Fe. I am remodeling my home studio with new desks and bookcases. I made a shopping list on the home depot webpage. It told me that all of the components where in stock at the local store. When I went in to purchase those components they were not in stock. I showed the printout of my shopping list and the lady told me that "a lot of people are confused by this." What's confusing about "pick up in store" and "87508?" I am also replacing some major appliances - washer, dryer, fridge, range, etc. Home Depot is already advertising their black Friday prices. When I was browsing the appliances, a "representative" walked through. Without pausing he asked if I had questions. Before I could form my questions, he was gone to some more pressing task. This is typical of almost all of the chain stores in Santa Fe - not enough stock and too few employees. The same chain stores in Albuquerque are, to a one, much better but it's a 100-mile round trip. Santa Fe merchants seem surprised that, one after another, these chain stores are closing. My budget for these purchases is approaching $10,000. Some more responsive store will get my money as well as a better review than this. read more

I know it's rather rare in a big box store, specially during the COVID crisis, but I feel I need to give a shout out for the excellent service I received this morning at the Santa Fe Home Depot. A kind employee named Bruce helped me in the lumber department recommending OSB rather than plywood for my particular application. He helped me find it, got me a lumber cart, loaded it for me then cut it into manageable pieces for me. After checking out another younger employee (sorry didn't get his name) offered to help me take it out and load it all in my car. I was very impressed and really appreciated it. read more
