The worst customer service experience I've ever had. The two guys working at the geek squad were utterly inefficient and obviously did not care about all the people waiting on them. They spent about 30 minutes with each customer. I have apple care for my apple ear pods but didn't receive help. They were taking forever to do their work and were in the back cutting up and laughing while people were waiting. I will never go back in there again. read more

I have a warranty on my Insignia washing machine. I had technician William Scott's from the Geek Squad come out on September 2, 2026. He kept in contact through text message upon his arrival. As I'm recording the conversation he starts to look at the washing machine & immediately says as he's checking the washer out I alrelady know what the issue is because I've worked on more than 6 of these in the last 3 months, it's a faulty belt. William stated the belt is burned up. I bought the machine 9 months ago brand new, he said the company knows there is a recall on this specific washing machine but the company doesn't recall appliances; makes no sense to me. Why would they keep selling this product if there have been so many issues & not alert the customer of this issue? Do they want the customers warranty to run out so they're not held responsible? He puts everything back together in minutes & then says he's got good news & bad news which one do you want first? He states more than likely you're going to get a new washer since it's under warranty still. The bad news is if he orders the part that needed to be ordered it can take up to months to get it since it is on back order. He said or it could come in within 2 weeks. He said he was going out to his truck to order the part & then he left. I get a text message 1 hour after he left saying your appointment is on September 9, 2026, arrival window time is 7 a.m-7 p.m me assuming oh wow he ordered it so it should be getting fixed, NOT! I get another text on Sunday Setemper 6th reminding me of the appointment. Tuesday I get another text at 7 p.m. asking me to confirm my appointment for Wednesday. Wednesday comes & I get a text saying arrival time is 8 a.m. -12 p.m. At 11:47 a.m. I call Best Buy store because at this time no one has contacted me or sent anmore update texts; weird. I called & was put on hold everytime for at least 6 minutes at a time. I'm so glad I recorded every single conversation I had with all of these agents!! I talked to 3 different agents Abishek said oh the window is between 10:30-2:30 so someone will contact you soon. I said why did I get a text message saying the window is between 8-12 p.m. he said I don't know where that message came from...lol. Jaycee & Arieles who informed me that the part was ordered TODAY on the 9th not the day he actually said he ordered it, SMH. Why would they set up an appointment saying an agent will be out knowing the part wasn't here? I wasted a full day off waiting around for no one. I am so frustrated because everyone I talked to today gave me the run around & NO ONE could answer simple questions, nothing got resolved. I asked Arieles for the corporate office number & she says oh we don't have one...lol. How ridiculous is that? Anyways I never got confirmation on what the hell is really going on or if I will get a part put on or get a replacement washer or not. Someone please send me the right people to talk to, to get this resolved ASAP!! read more

Mathew and Greg at the front register were ridiculously unhelpful and clueless with simple questions. They wasted my time - they didn't know what the hell they were doing or saying. Mathew seemed proud of his inane remark that they wouldn't be able to deliver anything without an address; he was utterly ignorant of why a customer might want to know what additional costs would be charged before handing over their personal information, and refused to give details on/an estimate of delivery and installation charges. In addition, no one ever came to help me in the appliance section though I waited for some time. Many staff members walked by without making eye contact, while joking with their coworkers. read more

Called phone # for service lady said looks like TV arrived at store in Tyler just today 7/14. next delivery date 7/22 or I can drive to store and pick it up. I received the watch face as described but the band is not the band that was pictured. This band has an American flag on it and USA on the other side. This is clearly false advertisement. I paid for an item that is incomplete. I will be reaching out to the BBB for further assistance. This store is three hours from my residence. FYI. Don't buy any open box items from this store. TV delivery and set up scheduled for Nov 30th. Delivery sched for 7 am-7pm. updated delivery status on the 30th, 9 am to noon. called after noon and they said it would be delivered by 7pm. Called at 4:30 pm for status. Was told there was a problem at the warehouse and asked me to reschedule for Saturday, I cancelled the order. Waited all day for the delivery and no one called to say it wasnt going to be delivered today. What a piece of shit company and customer service dept. If I could leave "0" stars I would. The latest lack of service that I experienced was when I took my laptop that I bought from them into the Geek Squad for service. I took it on Thursday evening and was expecting a call from the tech who would work on it on Friday, which did not come. I called the store and maneuvered through the AI answering service and spoke to a person who said she would get a message to the tech to call me before starting my work order. Didn't hear anything Saturday or Sunday. Tried to call today. Chatted online with Live Agent customer service who said they would send the tech the message to call me immediately. Nothing. Went out there on my lunch break and no one had even started the service because they were "confused" about the instructions. My phone number was on the work order. They could have picked up the phone and called me. I got my laptop back and will take it elsewhere for service. This is not the first time I received poor service from this company. Not just Geek Squad issues. I've had order and delivery issues and lies in the past. I will never trust Best Buy or set foot in their store again. read more

We went in knowing what we were looking for just not exactly the different accessories and abilities of the item. we asked the first employee for help, after rolling his eyes and slumping on to the basket we asked our question he then shrugged his shoulders and said I know nothing about this section. you pulled me away from my section so you need someone else. Several employees standing around and no one offered to help. 20 minutes later tried to help ourselves and went to counter to pay. Waited in line for 15 minutes only to be told that he needed to help his cashier at another register. So walked up to the desk to wait then another employee came up and pointed to the gentleman behind me and asked if he could help him. To start I bought a laptop that was supposed to be new and got it home (45 minutes away) and it was used already been logged into so it was locked. So I drove back to exchange it (45 minutes away) and there was one guy at the counter with a customer so I left the laptop on the counter with my 13yo son and used the restroo. when I returned a short minute later a manager had already returned the laptop therefore my money is stuck in lala land and I'm out the money and the laptop which is needed for work. The manager just threw his hand up and said nothing he could do and that it wasn't his fault even he's the one that sold me a used laptop to begin with. Then he began to accuse me of being a liar and that the laptop was new. When I told him to take it out and turn it on to see for himself he told me he didn't have to. Asked them to sync my old computer with my new one and they did nothing that I asked, after holding both my computers hostage because of their ridiculous "appointment system". The Geek Squad is a bunch of kids with no customer service training or sense of urgency to assist customers. The poor guy who sold me my computer and printer was very nice and terribly overworked. Had them paged twice and still no one came. As I was leaving, I saw two workers and asked for a manager with both replying they were managers. I told them what happened and the response I got rudely per them, "There's nobody that works that department. I can see why this best buy doesn't care about anything. They are the only one around. Disaster with a refrigerator. Talks to my wife like they don't care she doesn't have a refrigerator. Then wants to sell her a slightly damaged one for half price and we believe it is the one they took back. Then the guy tells her she should always except the delivery if its damaged and they would just pick it up. Much different than the rest of the world tells you.I get a call todayand and tells me that there was a glitch in the system for the TV they were scheduled to deliver. I didn't schedule delivery because they wanted to charge me a 100 dollars. I told them I would pick it up. I just cancelled it. Will drive way out of my way before going here. Can't leave zero stars so had to pick one. Tried to purchase a $1000 computer and some accessories to boot, but could not get anyone to actually help. The items are kept in the back (which is entirely understandable given their value), so you have to ask for help to get the physical item for purchase. I asked four employees for help, all of which told me they "would call someone to be over shortly." One even said he was dropping something off and would be back in a minute, only to never return. Even after heavily leaning into the fact that I was trying to drop some cash today. Again I think it is understandable that this is a busy time of year and everyone's attentions are being drawn in several directions, but this was unacceptable. If you have a section of the store where items must be retrieved by staff in order to purchase, it needs to be manned and responsive. Telling me four times that someone would be over shortly, only for that to never happen after 40 minutes of waiting around, is completely unacceptable. Will be buying elsewhere I suppose. read more

I've really never been impressed with Best Buy as a company. Generally they're overpriced compared to other electronics stores and general merchandise/discount stores. The service is pretty bad. I don't think I have ever been offered assistance. They're more interested in helping people buying big ticket items such as HDTVs, etc. The last time I went here was a couple weeks ago now. I put in a click and pull order on their website for a webcam I wanted to get and even though I came 30 minutes or so after it was supposed to be ready no one had pulled it. The guy at the click and pull counter brushed me off and said I would have to wait. He told me I could not just pull the item off the shelf and go through the cashier line as I would be double charged (they make you give a credit card when you place the order online) and then told me he would need 20-30 minutes to go pull an item on a shelf 10 feet behind me!! I went and got the item and brought it back to them at the click and pull desk and they acted like I had done something horrendously offensive. All in all, I'd say take your business somewhere else! Took my laptop into Best Buy to meet The Geek Squad on Broadway in Tyler. Had a hinge pop off which also caused the screen to separate from the exterior covering. Not a pretty sight! The Geek Squad Rep was friendly and professional. They all did GOOD! They said it would be about 2.5 weeks before completed. They fixed it in a week's time and shipped it to my home address. After a disastrous experience at Simiply Mac I walked into Best Buy and was greeted by the rep from Apple and a nice young fellow he was training for Best Buy. Ten minutes and all questions answered I looked at all brads at all prices. Walked out with a brand spanking new MacBook Air 13" on sale for the price of an 11" a 64gb flash drive and a wish list of other things I am going to go back and get. Purchased an iPhone 11 earlier this year along with a screen protector. Sales person told me that the screen protector had a a lifetime warranty. If for some reason the screen cracks or malperformance bring to Geek Squad and they will replace and install new protector for free. I had to get it replaced and Geek Squad informed me it would cost $8. For them to install the screen protector. Soooo frustrating. I guess anything for a sale. I hate that!! read more
