I give Best Buy -Tyler zero stars. Today, went in to have a ipad repaired and was directed to the Geek Squad. It's been awhile since I went in so I was unaware that you needed to download an app to make an appointment to speak with one of the agents or speak with one at the counter to do so. The board stated that the next available time to speak with an agent was 4:20. I spent 15 minutes inline trying to download an app. meanwhile another customer shows up in line as well. One agent finishes with a customer and immediately ask the customer that just appeared if he had a reservation. He scheduled him for 4:40 and then turned to me. I then told him that I was in line 15 minutes before the other customer and he told me it was hard for him to keep up with who was next (mind you only two people are standing in line). He scheduled me for 5:00. Afterwards, the whole Geek Squad stood around talking amongst themselves not serving a single customer. I assume they were waiting until 4:40. Sure there are other options here in Tyler, TX but I feel like best buy has the best deals and the best selection. I use the reward program and I'm always getting back a few bucks here and there from my rewards. I love best buy. I trust them and they always take care of me. They didn't give us a new controller and on top of that kept the old controller and forced us to get a gift card with 50 dollars less value than the 180 I had paid for. I have been to this store twice in the last week (once for a phone charger and once for headphones) and both times I have been treated like a shoplifter and the associates hovered awkwardly the entire time I was shopping. The reason I went to a store instead of buying cheaper online is because my husband is very picky about earbuds and we wanted to look at all of them before purchasing. I ordered a Dell Computer to be delivered to my home. It was shipped April 19th. It has never arrived. When you try to call the Tyler store a message tells you they are not accepting phone calls right now, and you get transferred to what sounds like someone's house in India because I can here roosters crowing and children playing right in this persons home. I've had to try to talk to this same place three times now. Once to a females house was interrupted by her children during the call, and then to a male person who actually refused to help me when I requested a refund. I believe they intentionally try to be unhelpful. The package was shipped via UPS and was supposed to arrive on Wednesday. April 21st. The fact is neither Best Buy or UPS know where my computer is. They just keep sending messages that my computer is "on the way". Today I'm going to request a refund at the store and let them fight it out amongst themselves. I'll NEVER buy anything from Best Buy again. Never. read more

The worse customer service experience I have ever had. No communication, no follow up, no service and an absolute arogant attitude of sorry about your luck when it comes to customer service. I was lied to, I was on hold for 52 minutes and no one checked on me, only to go into the store to find that the store manager, I'm sorry general manager runs his business proudly on the gross profit regardless of them dropping the ball and could care less about doing the right thing. Avoid this place! The young sales people spend more time on their phones than with customers. The Customer Service (if you want to call it that!) Department is extremely rude and are liars! We spent thousands of dollars in that store on several items for our new house. They were supposed to deliver the items, but when they didn't show up as promised, I called and they said I was supposed to pick the items up. No delivery was scheduled. I went to the store to pick up what I could and the young girl in Customer Service told me the items were on the truck for delivery. When I questioned her, she got very rude. The Store Manager was sitting right there in his office with the door open, feet up on his desk playing with his cell phone and did absolutely nothing. Then the girl that was "helping" me, got on her cell phone texting with one of her friends! I had to keep trying to get her attention to focus on my issue and she finally got back with me and made a phone call (supposedly) to the delivery truck, which was still in the parking lot according to her. She told me that they were going to remove the smaller items so I could take them myself. Well, it was over an hour and nothing was happening, so I asked again. She just walked away and then I was called over to another person who told me that the sound system I was waiting for didn't exist! They had been out of stock since it was a discontinued item. I paid over $600 for something they never had!!! I wasn't real happy and after another 40 minutes of getting the runaround (and a security guy on my back), she took $150 off and had the sales kids on the floor remove the floor model and give me that, which took them another 45 minutes to disconnect. These people are crooks, liars, very unprofessional and should all be fired, including the Store Manager! Better yet, shut the place down. I will never return to that store! read more

I had my laptop repaired by Best Buy at the beginning of the year and after 6 months it needed another hard drive. they wanted to charge me over $200 to repair it again. I wasn't going to be able to pay that, so since it had the same issue and less than a year, and they sent it off for repair, the associate talked to the manager and worked something out for me. And the associate explained to me which hard drives were good. So I had to pay way, way less. They are good and explain the issues beforehand with no pressure. And I love looking at all the merchandise in the store. read more

Worst customer service ever!!!! We came to buy a vacuum and there were pallets of stock stacked in front of the display. An employee came along and asked if he could help us. We said yes, we are looking for a vacuum, but we need to be able to get past the merchandise stacked in front. He looked at it and said "yeah, I don't think that's gonna be happening." Worst costumer service ever. I was at the electronics section trying to get me a new laptop since my old one was not working anymore. I had done my research online prior to going to the store. I already knew what I wanted as soon as I walked in the door. Not ONE person greeted me at the door. So I walked over to the laptops and looked for the one I wanted well there was about 3 employees about 20 feet away from me just talking and joking around. Not acknowledging that I needed help. One passed me in front of me and didn't even ask if I needed help. So I just kept browsing that section hoping someone would see me and come assist me. But that never happened it wasn't until I walked away from the laptops to the register to ask for help when the 3 works walked to where I was. By that time I just told one of the register guys what I wanted and he took a good 15 minutes getting the computer from the back. Mind you this is a "best seller" computer so wouldn't it have taken less time getting it since it should be within reach? The guy comes back and stops in one of the aisle to have a conversation with one of the guys. By this time I was just wanted to pay for the computer and leave. I almost wanted to ask the guy what percent commission he got from my purchase because he obviously did not deserve it. Will probably never be back for a while. Management should really do a better job in training its employees in costumer service. read more

I went online to purchase a computer online, after making the selection and going to check out they ask for my credit card info. They then responded that they could not authenticate my card, so I put it in again, same response. So then I went to my account online and saw that my card was restricted for fraud protection from capitol one. I called them and we looked at my card account and best buy did go through twice for $411 and some change. My credit card company could not get through to best buy, and I could not get through to best buy. I am very shocked after many E-MAILS AND trying all numbers I could not get through to them last night, so now it is Sunday morning at 9:56 and still can't get to talk to anyone and have not had any E-mail response. I see why they have so many complaints online at rippoff report around the country. best buy online has created a real inconvenience I would not shop online with this company ever again. I now have to spend my time fixing their problem, which now is my problem. read more

The manager was rude and inconsiderate. After a Geek Squad associate told me to take my laptop home, take it apart, clean it, and bring it back to get it repaired, I did so, and brought it back to the store. I started to talk to a manager to express my dissatisfaction with the service, and he immediately revoked my warranty for doing what they told me to do. So I admit I got upset and tried to talk to them about the decision, but the manager immediately kicked me out of the store, and barred me from ever shopping here again. They wouldn't even give me a refund of the $500 extended warranty I bought for the computer! Now, I don't have a working computer and I'm down roughly $1100 that I spent on that computer!!! Doesn't compare to other Best Buys due to poor service. In there on Monday 31 March late morning to buy a computer, didn't. Geek squad guy told us he would go talk with the tech guys about our computer, then he left us and starting gabbing with a budy for 10 minutes, then came back asked us again what we wanted. Reexplained our problem, he was still zero help. The salesman kept trying to sell us a cheaper new computer than what we said we wanted. Left and bought a better one, same brand, at Sams Club. Took a visiting buddy in ther on April 4th late afternoon, after talking him into an XM radio. Nobody would help us, tracked down one young worker who said he didn't know a thing about them but would go get someone who did. Nobody ever returned after quite a while, so we left. When leaving the big dude at the door didn't ask us if we got everything we needed, didn't say have a nice or squat. On both occssions we had two different out of town visitors with us who each separately asked why Tyler people put up with such bad service. I wonder why too! read more
