Just spent 30 minutes trying to buy a tv & wasn't helped by one person. Told the front cashier I was seeking assistance, she called someone over to meet me & still no help. :/ Also, a few months back I had a stereo installed in my truck via Geek Squad. I was experience a lot of engine feedback & popping through the speakers. Took it to a stereo shop where they found exposed wires that were capped off & shoved into the dash where it was touching the frame and grounding out. Luckily it was an easy $65 fix, but came to get it diagnosed here first & was told my speakers needed to be replaced... That's aside from my issue today... Just trying to buy a tv.... read more

Mistakenly took my Apple Watch into their Geek Squad. The screen on mine had cracked - watch was fully functional and I have Apple Care so I wanted to just replace the screen. I was told they do it there. I get there and come to find out they DO NOT do it there. They send directly to Apple apparently and they basically just send back a new watch sans wrist parts. So that's fine. It has been over a week and no one seems to know where the F my watch is at. This store doesn't take phone calls. I've called the 800 # multiple times - no one knows what's going on with my watch or have any updated information on it. So at this point, I'm going to report it stolen to Apple. I have a gift card for $100.00. I went in to the store to split the gift card into two $50.00 cards, so I could give the cards as graduation gifts. I was told that Best Buy no longer allowed the purchasing of Best Buy gift cards with a Best Buy gift card; CRAZY! I asked to speak with the store manager ( because I couldn't believe this was actually a policy since I've done this once before at this store) and was told Ashley wasn't in, but would give me a call. I left follow-up messages for Ashley to give me a call. I never did get to speak with Ashley so I contacted corporate in MN. Corporate notified me the policy of "trading" Best Buy cards for Best Buy cards was recently put in place. STILL CRAZY! (Would it have killed Ashley to pick up the phone and tell me?? Calling their customer service was terrible and not helpful at all. They claimed that my issue would take a few hours and possibly a few days to figure out... However, this review is about the store, not their Call Center. The store experience was outstanding! I explained my situation about wanting to change my order from delivery to an in-store pickup and they fixed the issue in under 30 minutes! The employee was kind, professional, and was informative about every single update that occurred on my account. While I waited and observed the demo TV I was going to purchase, one of the GeekSquad employees came up to me, greeted me, and answered all of my questions regarding the features of the TV and the complimentary soundar that was placed in front. If you want the best experience, nothing beats going in store!!! PS: According to the employee; because I made the order in-store, the issue could only be fixed by me going to Best Buy and speaking with someone directly. This review is more of Geek Squad than Best Buy but since they're a team... Came into Best Buy this morning because my daughter 's lap top wasn't turning on and I hoped someone from Geek Squad could point me in the right direction. I gave two stars because they got two things right. 1. The security gentleman at the door greeted me very pleasantly when I came in, made nice with my baby, and pointed me in the right direction. He, as an individual, 5 stars. The Geek Squad guy was also pleasant and kind. If his job was to be a decent guy to deal with he'd get an A in my book. 2. The Geek Squad guy gave me the phone number of someone who could actually solve my problem. Thank you Geek Squad guy! I super appreciate it! The fact that he had to is why I'm not giving more stars. They didn't have a Samsung computer cord to use (.....wait...isn't this an electronics store?!) so he couldn't test whether or not the charger was the issue and without being able to charge it he couldn't do anything. ......... Ok. The gentleman he referred me to (Central Valley Laptop! Highly recommend them!) resolved the issue in less than 30 seconds. (The solution was, hold the button down longer until the light goes off then hold it down again. Yeah I know. It's embarrassing.) It turned out I was just an idiot in regards to the computer but I already knew that I was, hence why I went to someone who GETS PAID TO KNOW TECHNOLOGY. As far as I'm concerned the only service the Geek Squad provides was the same one I probably should've gotten from Google to start with. And, as someone who worked for Best Buy at the start of the Geek Squad adventure, (thank god not in the computer department, amirite??) I'm disappointed in what it's become. I had an appointment at Best Buy I made through AppleCare but arrived to the Geek Squad thinking they would be able to see earlier (I was tired from running multiple errands and was ready to go home). They had 2 associates available but told me that I would have to wait for my appointment time. I asked if I could just be a walk in instead in which he said they don't take iPhones as walk ins, only by appointments. Very upset, I went right next door to Xfinity and got the brand new iPhone 13 in 40 minutes for $75 more than my insurance deductible. Took my laptop in almost a month and a half ago now for a simple keyboard fix. Was told geek squad fix's everything and you can't pick and choose what to fix, okay fine. A months goes by I'm told my laptop is done, come to find out who ever "fixed" my laptop the first time decided not to and then used tape to cover up the faulty repair (they lied). Geek squad caught it in time and sent it back. Now last week or so, I finally received my laptop back, I LITERALLY PLAYED A GAME FOR LESS THAN A HOUR BEFORE MY LAPTOP COMPLETELY SHUTOFF. It will not turn back on, so of course I had to take it back to geek squad for another possible month wait. I bought my laptop for $2000 back in 2019, and because it's apparently to old, geek squad doesn't want to replace MY property that THEY ruined. Literally, Geek Squad destroyed my last vacation destress plans before I graduate college. Now I did receive help from a great employee who really tried to help me out and get me a replacement for my laptop however his company didn't agree. First visit to this store since they moved to this location on Mooney Blvd. I went into the store to evaluate what HDTV antennas they had in stock. They had several different styles and brands, which appeared to be suitable for my needs, however after doing some price comparisons this Best Buy came in on the high side of the scale. I would also like to note that after waking through the entire store not a single associate asked me if I needed help. Actually a few walked by me when I was walking the isles looking around. On my way out the security person in a yellow shirt asked me if I needed help, of which I politely declined. My feeling was that unless your buying a big ticket item they don't want to provide customer service. They do have allot of cool tech stuff to dream about, but customer service is lacking. read more

I have been there 3 times in the past week. One to get a Mac Air and then to get a iPhone11 Pro. Great customer service! Organization! Teamwork! They don't pressure you to buy more than you need. The third time I went back because the screen protector on my phone replaced because not even a few hours after I got it, it cracked for no reason and then it kept cracking until it shattered. Their Geek Squd service is terrible. I went in to drop off my laptop so that it could be serviced. They told me that I had to make an appointment and come back at a different time. They told me that they would need 5 to 10 minutes to fill out the paperwork but they didn't have time to do it during my visit so I'd need to schedule and come back. All I needed them to do was take my laptop, work on it whenever they had time, and then call me once it was ready. Now I have to make another trip out of town to take it back with the appointment that I made. Their time with me would have been a lot less than my time it takes me to drive over there and now I have to do it again. So Scott Martin and I decided to go and window shop for a new TV. We decided to go to Best Buy. Once there we were talked into opening a store credit card and purchased a new 65" 4K TV. We brought the tag to the front and an associate wheeled our selection to the front and assisted us in loading it in our vehicle as we did not want to wait three days for delivery or be charged for delivery. We noticed a slight dent in the box but didn't think much of it as we assumed Best Buy surely would not sell us a damaged product. Once we returned home, we got the new mount up and proceeded to open the box, that's when we noticed the screen was completely cracked protruding out in the middle of the screen. We called Best Buy and they said bring it back no problem. Scott and his Dad returned to the store with the TV immediately. Once there the store manager refused to exchange the TV based on the fact we had brought it home ourselves in lieu of delivery. Scott stated no where in the exchange or return policy does it state that as part of the policy. Scott informed them he was leaving the TV there and management subsequently called the police on them for littering!! I then called the store myself and spoke with Christopher who identified himself as an assistant Manager and was told the store manager was not there. After patiently explaining the situation to Christopher he informed me nothing could be done and he refused to review the security footage to determine that the box was in fact slightly damaged when they wheeled it out to us. I asked for the store manage's name and informed him I would be contacting him in the morning. At this point Christopher told me I could speak to him right now! I was placed on a brief hold and AJ the store manager got on the line. I again explained the situation and AJ also stated they would not exchange or return items that were brought home yourself in lieu of delivery. I again explained one of their associates assisted us loading it and even had us take it back out to re-situate it. AJ then stated he would review the tapes and if the associate assisted in any way he would in fact exchange it. I asked when I could anticipate a call back and he said shortly. SIX minutes after we hung up AJ called me back and told me he reviewed the tapes and that the associate did not assist in loading it nor directed us in loading it in any way. I then asked AJ if I could come review the tape with him and he replied absolutely not, I'm done with this conversation and hung up. Obviously this is extremely frustrating for a number of reasons. Best Buy should not be carting out damaged boxes to customers first and foremost! Damaged boxes should be returned to the manufacture or warehouse not sold to customers period. Secondly, no where in the return policy does it state what I was told by this store as far as bringing your own merchandise home would forfeit being able to be exchanged or returned! This has probably been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had. I have never been treated so poorly by any group of people. The store manager essentially called me a liar! He in no way shape or form went and looked at the tape as he didn't even know what time frame to look at nor was it even feasible he did this in 6 min! So now Scott and I are out a TV and $700!!! All time worst experience shopping ever. I read the Yelp reviews and tried to avoid this store like the plague by ordering online. Well, it was my lucky day and they are in charge of my delivery. I ordered my fridge nov 25th. It is now dec 7th and I still haven't received my refrigerator. They were supposed to deliver it last Thursday between 1130am-1:30 pm, and they showed up at 10 am and left by 10:30 am leaving a nasty message on my door and voicemail blaming me for not being there. I called after getting home from work, which I shifted my entire schedule around in order to be there for the delivery, and was hung up on 3 times after waiting 20+ min. Since I wasn't getting the response I wanted I called the National Best Buy hotline and they were not even able to contact the store. I drove from Hanford to Visalia to get some sort of interaction in order to reschedule my delivery and encountered an incredibly rude and lazy staff. There were 6 people behind the customer service desk not doing any work hugging and giggling with each other and it took twenty minutes for me to speak with a supervisor. He was great and gave me his personal line to coordinate the delivery due to the ineptitude of his work force. We scheduled the delivery for today, Monday the 7th after 5 pm. I texted last night to confirm that the delivery would actually happen. Apparently the delivery boys are on their on schedule and completely disregard any schedule that was in place. I received a phone call at 8:30 am telling me they were 30 min away from my house. They once again showed up early, this time 8 hours early and refused to come back at the assigned delivery time because "their day was over" even though the last delivery had not been made. Their manager supported them and is by far just as incapable as anyone I have ever met. I am currently on hold and have been on this calm for the past 1.5 hrs and still no answer from this godforsaken store. It's safe to say I will never purchase anything from this awful store and I recommend everyone stays far far away. read more

Only thing I see is that they have a lot of stuff for you to experience, hold, and break before buying. I made an online purchase of an Xbox One with in-store pick up. Pick up my purchased from a rude overweight customer service rep. He stated to me that he was having trouble with his register and would not be able to "Activate" my Xbox One. I asked to be helped at another register as I already had paid for my items. He takes a huge breath inward to point where I felt as if he sucked all the oxygen from inside the store and proceeds with his queer attitude. I stood there and didn't say anything. I remained silent and just stared at him. He soon switched to a register 5 feet away and threw my purchase on the that counter. Finally he state do was good and so I left. Fast forward two weeks as the purchase was a gift and low and behold, the Xbox live gold card is not activated which means that fat ass at the counter didn't scan it when I purchased it. So I return to the "Customer Service Desk" where another overweight employee proceeds to give a rash of shit about that card that I had was not the same one that was on my receipt. I kindly told the young lady that I had made an online purchase and when I picked up my order, it was bundled together, that I never picked a card of the shelves. So she does an exchange and tells me "they" did me a favor and exchanged it and that next time I had a problem, I would have to go through the 800 number on the back. I asked her if I had done anything wrong and she said, we are not saying that only that we did you a favor. I asked what that meant. She looked at me and said the same thing. Needless to say, Best Buy seems to have scrounged the very bottom of the labor pool in Tulare county because they have some rude ass people working for them. I used to really like this place when I was younger but I could never forget one certain time. Sometime in 2007 I reserved Pokemon Diamond well before its release date because I really wanted the new Pokemon game (at the time of course) and the cool stylus that came with it. On the game's release date in late April 2007 I came here to pick up my reserved game, only to have the employees tell me that there was issues with the game's shipment and it was not going to be in that day. Are you kidding me? It was the game's release date. Three or four days later we had called - the shipment still had not arrived. By this time I was getting angry, a lot of my friends already had the game and I was waiting for my reserved game and my awesome new stylus. Finally it had been a week and we had called again only to find out they still did NOT have Pokemon Diamond. Now I gave up. I ended up going to Software Etc. in the Visalia Mall (the shop is now closed) and they had shelves and shelves full of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and I bought Pokemon Diamond. I did not have the special stylus that came with the reservation. Since then, I have never reserved a video game with Best Buy, and I never will. read more

STOP. DON'T SHOP HERE!!!!! i purchased a smart TV from this store trusting that if anything went wrong with it i would have help since i purchased the extended warranty. I was so WRONG!! my nightmare began 1.5 months ago when a software update caused my TV to shut down on its own. i contacted Geek squad and they came out to check it out. they told us not to do any software updates for a couple of weeks until samsung had enough time to fix the error. this meant i could not connect my TV to the internet and thus was unable to use any of the smart tv functions. the next problem that happened was the TV volume got stuck. i called the geek squad for help they come to "replace a part" but the same day they did that i new problem arose. my TV was now changing inputs to different HDMI by itself. so you think that after having had 3 things go wrong with the TV they would exchange it. well think again. i have spend over 4hrs of my life i will never get back trying to get an exchange. they have employees that dont know what the store policies are and they tell you one thing only to find out they are making it up. when you ask to speak with a supervisor they tell you what the policy is and then go on to say " i dont know why you would have been told that since it's not company policy" I've spoken to countless customer service reps, supervisors and each time they claim to document what you say only to find out that everything fall through the cracks. they have no sense of what excellent customer service is all about. they have poorly trained employees who minimize your problems and dont seem to care you spent thousands of dollars on your TV only to have it fail. if i were you i would go buy electronics at a store that knows how to treat its customers. they were all to happy to get my money when i paid for the TV but when it came to helping me when i had problems with the TV they seemed to forget they are there to help! they are quick to pass the blame to someone else and all you get is nothing. they transfer you from one agent to another and in the end nobody knows how to help. i have a friend to bought a TV also a samsung from Costco. they had problems with their TV and it took one call to get the problem fixed. i've called over the last three days and have gotten nothing but headaches for wanting what i paid for. all i ever wanted to was to have a TV that worked. is that too much to ask for? if i were you i would go somewhere else to buy my TV. dont go through the hell that i am going through should you have a problem your TV after you buy it. this company doesn't deserve your hard earned money!! Place is the same as any other Best Buy I have ever been to. One thing I will do is give a warning to people that might consider them as an alternative to Game Stop for pre-ordering games... dont. I pre-ordered 2 copies of Star Wars: The Old Republic with them, and after having to talk them into taking my pre-order (yeah, you read that right, the employee was saying their early access codes didnt work most of the time) I was lied to about the code I was supposed to get for the pre-order. They insisted it would come to my email address, which is does not. So a week later I had to sit in a long line to cancel and get my money back. This is just my thoughts on Best Buy. If you want something, and they have it available right there, go for it. Its a great business, and their service plans are actually a great deal most of the time. We had a wait, but I didn't mind. We actually went back to browse thru tvs so we could figure out what we wanted to purchase as our living room set was wearing out. The guy at Geek Squad said my laptop was not covered since I didn't buy the laptop there. This is despite the fact a Lenovo representative told me to since it's part of their protocols and my laptop is still under warranty. Screw Best Buy. Hire people willing to figure out the problem instead of just saying they can't help. Why would Lenovo send me if Best Buy wasn't partnered with them?? We were looking for a new tv and sound system. The salespersons here made it so easy. They were very knowledgable on the different products and features. They helped us make the right choice for our home and our needs. We did not wait long for them to bring our purchases curb side and they helped us load it. Very good service. We also bought a new cell phone case for my mother in law. While the service was just as good they no longer will put on the glass cover and case without a charge.
