Though this isn't the best or biggest Best Buy location I've been to, this is the better of the 2 local stores within the Rosedale/White Marsh area. Unlike the Golden Ring (Rosedale) store, this location sells Apple products, and has a larger selection of inventory. I've always had a really good experience here, and have found that the staff are well-trained to answer questions regarding products in store. I had an issue with my cell phone and had to take advantage of my black tie warranty today. Dave in the Mobile dept assisted me and was helpful, patient, and friendly. I was there from 11am until 1:15pm while he had to test my phone, check if it was covered by the warranty, get the warranty approved, crediting and purchasing the replacement, and getting the service activated on the new phone BUT I did not have my receipt, box, charger, sd card so the wait was mostly cause I was not prepared but breath of fresh air to know if your phone has issues you don't have to go home and try to find the box charger sd card receipt etc to get it the device fixed or replaced. Just might take a little longer. read more

I am a frequent visitor to the White Marsh Best Buy. However, my beef with this store is that I have gone in THREE TIMES to inquire about Sirius after-market systems and no one was able to give me adequate service. They just get someone from home entertainment, who knows nothing about Sirius or anything else in the dept, for that matter. Finally, after a friend suggested that I go in through the mobile installation entrance and ask them, I did so and got great customer service. Jake, a Geek Squad installer (who wasn't even the person waiting on me), overheard my conversation with the man at the window and asked if I would mind waiting about 5 or so mins and he'd be happy to help me (after I complained that there is never anyone working in mobile entertainment). Not only did Jake come and help me within the timeframe he said, he knew so much about everything in the dept and even walked out to my car to see what kind of system would be best. However, my two-star rating is for the management at Best Buy, who do not have a dedicated employee who is knowledgable about mobile entertainment. I am told that other stores in the area do. So that's where I will be shopping from now on. Kudos to Jake though! read more

I want to start off by saying that I have had decent experience here before. I updated some of my kitchen appliances through best buy and when it came time to buy an oven, Best buy was my first choice. I like the 0% financing offers they have. I was skeptical about the exact measurements for my oven and was asked if I wanted a sales associate to come to my house and supply with me with the best options for what I was looking for. After the appointment was set, nobody showed up to my residence. I thought it was just miscommunication as mistakes do happen. I called and scheduled another appointment and was guaranteed someone would come out. The associate came out and took measurements and was supposed to email me the best options. After a few days, I emailed him and called him several times and did not receive a call back. I am not sure how this company will stay in business this way. I will take my money to Lowes or another business since it seems as though they did not want my business. Its a shame because I have bought many things from best buy in the past. I guess it goes to show why amazon is taking over and most of these stores are virtually empty. I hope the top executives start initiating changes or this will be the next circuit city. read more

I'm so sorry I do not remember his name, as to give him credit for his action, since he was not a department associate, just that I grabbed him and asked. My son and daughter-in-law ordered me a Samsung washer & Dryer in May for a Mother's Day present...They were told that it would take a couple weeks to come in...Almost a month later no phone call from Best Buy in White Marsh..My son & daughter-in-law stopped in on Memorial Day 2018..They were told that the washer & dyer were in..No phone call or e-mail nothing..My husband & son pick up the washer & dryer bring it home deep scratches in the brand new washer & big dent in the dryer..After the fourth trip back to Best Buys in White Marsh they were told that doesn't surprise them that it is dented and scratched they come out of the warehouse like that..That's one thing that they should check before they even give it to customers..Needless to say I told my son to get his money back and we will go some where else..Lowe's in White Marsh got his business and they had the washer in store at Lowe's brought it home it was great..They ordered the dryer to match and it will be in at Lowe's in 7 days...Best Buys told my son it would be another month for the washer & dryer to come...Lowe's is the way to go.. I've been shopping at Best Buy for nearly 20 years off and on. I actually stopped going to this location about ten years ago because I was very unhappy with management response to an expensive television that died shortly after the warranty period. Well, I recently decided to give Best Buy another chance. I purchased a very expensive camera and got the extended warranty. I had two manufacturer defect issues within the first few months of owning the camera. The memory kept showing up full and wouldn't let me check my gallery until I deleted pictures. I continued to delete photos until my card was practically empty. I swapped out my card and purchased a high performance memory card only to discover the message kept popping up. Finally, I took it to the store and they determined the camera was defective. The staff helped me select another camera and I decided to pay a little more this time because I wanted more out of my camera. I ran into more problems with the new camera low light feature auto adjusting itself to extremely dark. I was rather upset and decided to schedule a consult with Geek Squad. During my first visit, they could not figure out how to correct the problem then decided it might need to go out for repair. I was frustrated and asked to speak to a manager. The MOD, Sharon McCargo spent some time trying to address my concern. I was still upset because I didn't want to be without a camera for an extended period so I asked for the store manager. I was rather impressed that the GM started something they didn't have when I used to be a regular customer. The GM actually had his contact information included in a letter that let's customers know that he was happy they're giving him a chance to address concerns and please follow up with him on his next scheduled work day. I remember many years ago, in store reps would rudely tell customers to call 1-800-BEST-BUY. No matter how persistent customers were, I can recall standing in lines seeing customer after customer getting upset about this type of response. Then for the determined customers, store associates would smirk and insist that the GM is going to tell you the same thing, call 1-800-BEST-BUY. Today when the GM, Derek Basignani accepted my call, he took time to listen and resolve my issue. Not only did he make a one time exception to exchange my camera without the hassle of going through shipping it out to SEE if it could be repaired, he also price matched my new camera which resulted in a nearly 30% savings. Given past history with Best Buy, I was not expecting him to have compassion considering I had the camera for nearly 3 months. Derek even took time to introduce me to his assistant manager Mike to assist with selecting a camera. I had a good experience with Mike and Kevin the camera department rep who worked with me throughout the transaction. The department team leader Steve wasn't quite as warm and friendly as the others BUT, he certainly seemed knowledgeable about the products. Right about now this does not even deserve that 1 star it makes me give. I went in last night to purchase a brand new rose gold iPhone 6s plus at their mobile desk. mind you, I was super excited to get this phone... I've been WAITING FOREEVVERRR it feels like. I waited for about 45 minutes while sales associates had customers who they were having personal conversations with and not even acknowledging that i was standing right there, before I finally got to sit down with one of them. Then sat there for another hour and 45 minutes or so before I finally had the phone in my hand. He did everything he had to do, put my screen protector on, put the case on (after he BROKE the first case he tried on my phone) and then hit the RESTORE FROM BACK UP option on my phone, basically leaving me stranded in the store phone-less until I decided to just leave and finish the restore from home. So, I drove home without a phone to call anyone in case any emergencies came up. I got home, restored my phone completely and it just was NOT working. I went into my settings and went to "phone" only to see that my phone number was NOT THERE. I contacted Verizon (best buy had already closed last night) and they told me that the sales associate at best buy DID NOT FINALIZE MY UPGRADE and my phone could NOT BE ACTIVATED UNTIL THIS WAS FINISHED!!!!! So, here I am today, still without a phone. I drove to work in HORRIBLE traffic with a not so reliable car WITHOUT A PHONE! I called best buy the minute they opened. Waited on hold for about 20 minutes before I finally got through to someone in mobile, who only told me that they could NOT finish my upgrade over the phone and that I HAD to do it in the store. He offered the opportunity to speak to a manager, and I took him up on that. When I spoke to the manager he told me the same thing. Due to people that have committed "fraud" in the past they can't do it over the phone. I find this to be absolute CRAP!!! One of YOUR employees that YOU pay to do their "JOB" SCREWED ME out of a phone and I have to suffer now? You can't even TRY? You won't even make an attempt? What if I worked from before you opened until after you closed every day this weekend and could NOT make it in? Then what would you do? Nothing? Just leave me stranded without any communication to the world in case of emergencies? Unreal. Rude. Inconsiderate. In my opinion just straight up lack of management skills right about now. So tonight I have to drive all the way from work to best buy, again in Friday evening traffic in a not fully reliable car... probably to SIT for hours again and waste yet another evening to fix something that probably could have taken maybe 10 minutes over the phone AND that SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE LAST NIGHT. I won't go back to this MOBILE location just for the lack of brains in the department after last nights mistake and quite frankly I will probably not go back to this best buy for the lack of management skills or customer service he offered. read more

I purchased a laptop about a year and half ago. I was having problems with the laptop, which was shipped out, and returned damaged. Best Buy replaced it. This laptop began giving me more issues at which time it was shipped out and damaged. So, now I was on my third laptop which was giving me some other problems. They wanted to resolve it in the store, which they were unable to do. The next step was to ship it out or replace it. I said didn't want a replacement I said replace my money. I don't know the sort of laptops they have but they are crappy devices. I ordered the same laptop, which was the third replacement from Best Buy, directly from HP with a two year maintenance plan, which includes several perks for less money. Best Buy wants you to purchase their expensive plans for their dysfunctional laptops. I also emailed the district manager during this process who has not responded to my emails. I wouldn't buy anything from "Best" Buy as you might receive the worse buy. Go directly to the brand of your choice. read more

My worst experience from Best Buy yet. Seriously, Best Buy need to send some of their employees to a customer service class. First, there are numerous sales people talking to one another with no one offering to help. When help comes around, they are uncertain where products are located. Then, when the product is found, accessories are missing and the attending sales person is too rude to help. They rather not sell than help. Worst, as a customer I offered to help to remedy my situation yet he refused stating " I am not the stock person and that is not my job". He even stated that it is too much for him to assemble all the accessories of the product. Furthermore, the Operations Manager who supposedly intervened with the situation simply stated she was not there to confirm what I said. Reiterating my point she simply stated : " I heard you and you do not have to repeat it". Sadly if such is the behavior from top to bottom, no improvement will ever be seen in this Best Buy branch. I am hoping in the future more professional individuals be employed in this branch, those who can be trained to do their job which is to give customers their best buying experience for their hard earned money. This review is about the service component of Best Buy; namely, Pacific Sales and Service. This outfit is, frankly, horrible. Also, I think I've got a lemon LG washing machine as it's the second time in 3 years that it is malfunctioning (leaking this time). I called for service (Pacific Sales and Service) as I had purchased an extended warranty on a stack washer/dryer unit). I was told that I had to remove the dryer myself as the washer needed to be accessible to the repairman. When I indicated I couldn't do that as my husband just had knee surgery, the rep said they would not send 2 guys out even if I paid extra. In other words, the burden is entirely on the consumer. i really wanted to give this location a two and a half fue to my experience today. This was the 2nd Best Buy I had gone to this week. I went in and was looking for the tablets. A very nice young man asked me if I needed assistance and I told him what I was looking for. He pointed to the other side of the store. When I got there I couldn't find anyone to help. Also there were no other customers in that whole area. I saw the young man on the other side who had directed me and he said he didn't work this area but he would get some one. This young man is reason for a 3 instead of a 2. The man who came to assist did not appear happy at all to be helping me. It might of been me but his whole communication was like he really wanted to be talking to someone else. He answered the questions and he appeared to had tried to help find what I was wanting. It was just his customer skills seemed week. I believe this is not so much an issu with him but with the training management is giving. read more

This place has the worst customer service I ever experienced. I was laughed at, patronizedand hung up on by 3 sales reps and one shift manager. I have been on the phone for 8-10 hours total over several days going on my 3 rd week. They sold me a broken tv and wont replace it bec its discontinued. Their policy of replacing it w a comparable tv is bs. They have rescheduled my "replacement" delivery twice now but warned me it may be cancelled again bec the tv is discontinued. They are "still trying to find one". I believe they resell broken items from their warehouse as new items bec this is a very common complaint online. I truly expect ill be told my return period has run out after they cancel my next delivery date. They dont have this tv in stock and refuse to give me a comparable one. Horrible experience at their White Marsh, MD 21236 location. I seriously vow to NEVER shop at best buy again strictly because of their rep Mandy. Im so livid I plan to leave this review everywhere I can, I had such a horrible experience with Mandy that I had to cancel my order for a fitbit HR. I had already purchased the fitbit online and chose to pick it up in store, when I arrived at the store to pick it up she was so rude to me I told her to cancel it and not to treat people so horribly. Mandy was argumentative, demanding, pushy, totally unwilling to help or assist. Because of her attitude alone I canceled my order and will shop elsewhere. If this is who best buy is hiring to represent their company, they will surely start losing many many sales.
