I had not planned on stopping by here so soon. But, after Larry and his helper came by yesterday to…read morepick up some items that I donated, I had to get a receipt for tax purposes. I called them on Monday, and informed Larry that I had a recliner, full size adjustable bed and a few shirts to donate. But, would they be able to do a pick-up? And, though it took a few days (as expected), Larry called me late yesterday morning to let me know that he could come by around 1. After agreeing that the time would work, he showed up at about 1:06. Unfortunately, and because of the recliner, they couldn't get the bed into the truck. So, they took the recliner, and came back a little later for the bed. Today, I stopped by to see the place, and get a receipt. Now, don't expect this thrift shop to be on the level of Goodwill Industries. Like the small town of Mville, this shop is small. And, is only open 10-4, Monday thru Friday. But, they do have a nice selection of clothes, books and dishes. But, not much in the way of furniture.

I hated this place! Please keep reading - I'm visiting…read morefamily from California, and Payne Mill Village was full of stuff I wanted. The problem? I live in California! There just wasn't an easy or affordable way to transport all of the amazing things I wanted back home. If I lived in Macon, I'd be there all the time. All of the vendors spaces were well designed and pleasing to the eye. None of them were so jam packed that finding individual items became difficult. Great stuff at fair prices. BINGO!

Skip it! The prices are outrageous for the products they're selling. Vendors don't put much effort…read moreinto decorating their booths. There were a few places I couldn't even walk through because the aisles were too packed. Some parts of the store were so dusty, I didn't want to touch anything. I did not see a great selection of items, and the prices for the few items I picked up were highly inflated. I'm not even sure I saw many antiques. I am giving one star for the kind lady at the register. Other than that, I don't see a reason for returning to this place.
