Awful experience, I'd been trying really hard returning and giving them another chance but every time is worst. Today a new guy in a white tank top did my nails, horrible work, very dirty to work, super rough and he squeezed my fingers so hard that I ended with painful hands. Every time I said he was hurting me he said just relax and started to laugh! The pedicure lady did an average job and painted my toes first - when the guy started painting my nails there was a totally different color! They kept saying wasn't their fault but the nail polish company. I asked them to change it for something at least similar and they gave me mean look and started to yell and talk in their language - probably they were cursing me, super uncomfortable. Never going back! Also they always charge me different for the same service! It's a total ripoff ! Finally they wanted to close because was 7:00 PM already and the girl at the cashier conecto me and said: You pay, you can leave now. Are you kidding me? I have been going to this salon for YEARS . I came every 2 weeks for a gel full set and pedi , so I spent about $80 every two weeks. I got a brand new set this past Friday and by Saturday ( the very next day ) one of my nails popped off , literally popped off . I didn't hit it , snag it ... nothing ! This is not an issue I had so early on before so I didn't think much of it and I went in Saturday after work and got it fixed for $4 . The very next day a different nail on the same hand went missing . I didn't bang it , snag it , in fact I did so little that I didn't even feel it pop off ! So Again I go back , pay another $4 and get that nail fixed . I kid you not The next day 2 more nails on the same hand pop off , by this point I was really irritated . Not only did I already pay good money for a good gel set but every nail that popped off I paid another $4 , which adds up ! Today I went in upset and explained to them that clearly something with wrong with the set . All but my thumb popped of and all from my right hand ! Was my nail not filed correctly ? Not enough dehydrating liquid ??? I go in and immediately they are rude . Basically telling me it was my fault , I banged it or did something ... no I didn't . I banged all 5 of my nails ... five times .... everyday since I got my set ? The owner annoyingly takes me to his booth and I can tell he is irritated with me , he begins to tell me " my nails is too small , that why it fell off " .... my Other hand is fine ? Then my nails were wet ??? He then checks my thumb ( only original nail left ) and literally peels it off and tells me he'll do my thumb too so I don't have to come back. The nail came off like a sticker , he goes " that's why it came off , it didn't stick good " .... what an observation . He ended up telling me " normally it Would be $12 , but he'll only charge me $10 " ohh thank you for that . For only charging me $10 for nails that were done incorrectly to begin with , not to mention they charged me for the thumb nail that he literally removed . you took off my thumb without my Request and than charged me for the new one . All in all I have spent $20 on new nails and I got the original set only 5 days ago. I'm sad to say , after several years I will NOT be back at best city nails ! I will take the $200 I spend on services and tips in a month to a better business who values its customers read more

Don't go! I don't recommend! They were so rude to my daughter after hurting her. They filed her nail so hard that ended getting her finger and to avoid bleeding the guy put "glue" on it!!! I was shocked and just waiting to see what they were going to do about it. I kept asking but they would not give me an answer, instead they just kept talking between themselves in their "language" that no one understand but you always know they are talking about you. This was the worst nail experience ever! The man that was working on my nails (I was getting a full set) was so incredibly rude. I asked him to make them shorter and he responded "I know what I'm doing". He told me not to touch my phone and let him do my nails. Beyond disappointed!! I walked in around 2:00 today with another costumer they sat myself and her right way, a few minutes later she got helped. As I sat and continued to wait. 20 minutes went by and there where two lady's in the back sitting on their phone I'm guessing they where on break. Another 5 mins passed and they told me I would be helped in 5 mins. It was now 2:28 and another lady walked in she got sat and got helped right away!! Ive been going here for about a year and always went to Mike and loved him! This last time I went I was informed that Mike no longer worked there and had a new lady who's name I don't know. I have to say it was the worst experience yet and I don't think I'll be going back again. Not only was my lady rude but she didn't really listen to what I wanted. She kept stopping to text and didn't say a word to me the whole time I was there. I felt like she was in a rush and her work showed it. My nails do not look anywhere near as nice as I thought they would. On top of that, only a friend of mine and I were in the salon and everyone who didn't have a client was talking across the salon to each other which I don't like and don't think is very professional. After going to best city nails I refuse to go anywhere else!! The staff is very kind and they remember you and always greet you with warm welcome. I have gotten mani/pedis/ gel/ full sets/silk wraps and waxing done here and I am NEVER disappointed. First time I have ever been there. Service was ook. I was able to pick my gel color, like normal and when it came time to apply the color he applied the wrong one. I told him multiple times it was not the color I chose and that I did not like it at all. He told me it would look better when he was done. After I still told him that was not the color I wanted. Went here with my daughter... in short... I should have went with the reviews which was an awful awful place. I stil gave it a try... A guy did my nails, he was terrible. He cut my nails short.. After inspecting it, I told him my nails wasn't cut nice so he used a cuticle cutter to cut my nails. Which made it even more look crooked. Then the gel he used, started peeling after a week. Usually a gel when it comes off, just a chip. But the gel he used, you can start peeling it yourself, you don't even need a nail polish remover. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. 0 star read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE went in to get a full set for christmas, i had an appointment and still had to wait about 15 minutes. took her an hour and a half to do a normal white tip set, i left thinking they looked good, until i got home and noticed huge gaps between my nail and the tip she glued on! i went back so they could fix THEIR mistake, the lady that did my nails never even apologized for the inconvenience. their idea of fixing it was to fill the gaps with nail glue, DIDN'T WORK! i asked for a refund since i would have to take them off. they told me the only way for them to give me that was for them to "RIP THE ACRYILICS OFF" (HIS WORDS) which would obviously be very painful and rip my real nails off as well. i told him no he couldnt rip them off, but i still wanted my money back and he told me "DONT TALK TO ME LIKE THAT", i was trying to stay calm and be nice but he was rude and all the ladies working were staring at me and speaking a different language, obviously talkking about me since they were all giving me dirty looks for something that wasnt my fault at all. he refused to give me my money back or to help me take them off a less painful way. or even offer an apology. i gave the lady a generous tip, in the holiday spirit, but after i went back to get it fixed she avoided me and didnt apologize, she didnt deserve it. i use to love this place but after this experience i dont believe this salon deserves to stay in business if they are going to continue poor customer service and being rude when they make a mistake. Would not recommend going there! Caught the manicurist using a dirty cuticle clipper on me. When I asked her about it, about 5 girls all came over and started talking to each other but not telling me what was going on. She then said sorry and poured alcohol over one and then they passed me over to 2 more manicurists and made me move chairs. I sat there, waiting for someone to finish my nails when I told a man that said he helped the manager what happened, he apologized and said he would take care of me but did nothing. I went with a friend to get our toes done. It was super busy but we were able to get in right away. Everyone was nice and the place was clean. I was cut while my nails were being trimmed. I wasn't that upset that I was cut, I figure that it happens not a big deal. What upset me was that she didn't say anything! She didn't mention to me that I was bleeding. Call me crazy, but I think the professional thing to do would be to tell the client that they are bleeding so they don't look down and see blood on their toe. I won't be going back. read more

I have been going to Best City since I was 18 years old (I am 31 now)... originally they were just in old town temecula and now are off 79south (a much more upgraded and beautiful place). The drive is a bit much considering all the other tons of nail places I could go, but NONE have come as close to this place. I have been seeing KEVIN for this entire time and he never lets me down! My whole entire family and all my friends go now and they are NEVER disappointed! Kevin is often busy so book ahead of time.. but the drive and time is worth it (he takes about a full hour but won't let you leave until you are very happy!) HIGHLY recommend going here. I took a break and went to a few places closer to me for a bit cuz of the drive and they were all crap (especially luxury nails next to BARONS off Clinton Keith- HORRIBLE) so if you want amazing LONG LASTING nails, this is your place and Kevin is your guy!!! read more

Meh...this is the second time I've been here. First time I received a pedicure and today I received a gel manicure. They seem to do a pretty good job on the nails, but the service is terrible. It seriously feels like people are being herded through like cattle. I generally don't like to make conversation while I'm getting my nails done, but the staff act like you don't even exist. The only thing the girl said to me today was how much it costed when I was done. Not even a thank you for my 20% tip. It took forever too--she kept getting distracted by what else was going on in the salon (aka the two women next to me complaining about their services). The whole time the whole staff were chattering away in Vietnamese and seemingly giggling at angry customers. A few of the women were looking at each other with the same, generally annoyed look. I live right across the street so it is convenient for me, but in the future I will probably look elsewhere for my $25 gel manicure to someone who actually pretends to appreciate my business. read more

Came in at 9:45, was told it would take 10-15 to receive service for two pedicures. We were seen 40 mins later. The people that were receiving service were there well before we got in and were still receiving pedis. Which, they should be able to get their moneys worth. The young woman I sat next to, was in the chair getting a full set and pedi. She was there before I got to the salon and was still being serviced on both her nails and feet after I left. However, I was able to soak my feet in luke warm water for 90 seconds before they were removed, scrubbed, quickly washed and the tub was drained. And when I received my massage, after my toes were painted, she was in such a rush to get me out of the chair, that she burned my leg with the hot towel. My husband requested a pedicure that included a scrub or callus remover, and a 10 minute massage. Only thing he received was a 10 min massage, a rough scrub that removed no dead skin, and over focused in one spot that it became raw. When I asked to privately speak to someone about why we were charged for services that weren't rendered, I was asked to voice my questions in front of clients and then 3 ladies teamed up to continuously tell me that I was lying and that he received the treatment. I politely nodded my head and told them to have a nice day. I personally will not be returning. I do not appreciate being given less than quality service than they give other patrons. They also used to be more hygienic, using new, individually wrapped pumice stones, Emory boards, etc. read more

I come in to ask for gel nail polish change and pedicure together, I'm told"yes together" I'm currently sitting getting my toes done and they've left my nails soaking in remover with no-one tending to it..so I'm now trying to take off my nail polish with my own nails. My problem is, if you're busy..that's great but then don't tell me it "will be done together," when you know you can't do it. Don't put me in a situation where I can't get out. Money hungry..definitely quantity not quality! Editing this now..2 hrs after my pedicure, the bottom of my feet have absorbed the oils they now feel like I need another pedicure. Been coming here since opened, and even went to the original one in old town first where I had David. David now still at this one. Been going here and with him for 3 years. I am always willing to come back if I am a walk in, no problem. Called and made apt , spoke with David, and said to come in now, I am 7 minutes away by car. I walked in and he sat someone else first, had not even started with this customer whom was a walk in and I had apt . David told me to come back in 3 hours. I told him this was not right that he sat someone down in the chair 2 minutes before my apt which I was on time for that he made for me 10 minutes prior. He did not care. I was totally flaber gasted since I have been going to him for over 3 years and felt that there was a mutual respect , obviously it has been one sided! So I will not be going back there. Very disappointed with David in what he did. He had no answer when I confronted him as to why he told me to come right over to get my nails done , which I did, and why he would sit someone else at which point he had not even started yet and was a walk in.
