Merrimack residents, just so you know...Best Cleaners in the Shaws Plaza on Continental Blvd. is a scam place to take your clothing. My daughter took in a wool peacoat and asked to have two, beautiful, vintage, czech glass buttons to be added. She gave them her buttons, which had been a gift from a dear friend. When she picked up her item, the buttons that had been put on her coat were common and ugly. As her mother, I decided to help her get her buttons back. I have heard every excuse...including personal degradation and insults, just because I have asked to have my daughter's button returned. These people literally stole my daughter's buttons and are refusing to give them back. I will NEVER use their services, again. (They have offered me a $100 credit to let it go.) Use their services at your own risk but, if you have something lovely and vintage? Expect it to be stolen and for the staff to play dumb. read more

This place of business is never open. Weekends are a must for a dry cleaners. No excuse for not being open for business on sat Jan 2. Workers, when they do show up, do not value their clientele. The actual cleaning? It's fine. But they seem to forget they are in customer service. Too many other places than to stay loyal so a shop that couldn't possibly care less. read more

I give it five stars, for sure. All these negative reviews are only a few in hundreds of positive. I bring in a big load of clothes every week for my husband and me, and they have never disappointed. The owner's wife is so sweet and provides great customer service. I will always stay loyal to them as my favorite dry cleaners. read more

The lady who helped me was Soooo friendly and since I was from out of town helped expedite my order to fit my timeline. I see that there are some negative reviews on Yelp, but it just goes to show you..people are quick to post bad reviews but often excellent service goes without notice! read more

I dropped 2 pairs of pants to be shortened. They charged me 33.00! ( I have been a steady customer and have had numerous pants altered without issue.)I brought this to the attention of the owners husband who said he didn't have anything to do with the pricing. Wish there was ZERO stars!!! Ruined pants!!! Had multiple pants hemmed, paid waaaayy to much most were too short , they offered to make them into capris. Would not replace or refund!! I would not recommend Best Dry Cleaner in Merrimack. I had an extremely unpleasant experience. I dropped off a suit and wool winter over coat just before Christmas. The cost of the items were about $800 - $1,000 When I returned about 10 days later, they could not find it and asked me to comeback the next day when the owner was there. When I returned the female owner told me I had already picked up the dry cleaning, which I had not. When I claimed I did not, she claimed I just forgot and that she remember me specifically picking the dry cleaning up with my teenage son... I do not have a teenage son. She was admant that I picked it up because they could not process it in accordance with my deadline. This was all news to me. I informed her she was incorrect, and I asked her to look for my items by ticket since the computer was wrong. She refused. I eventually had to call the police. Because she could not provide my items and refused to compensate me for the lost items. When the police arrived she gave them a slightly different version of the story. She also provided them with dates, which did not jive with the facts on my ticket. Her computer provided different dates and times other than the ones on my ticket. In the end with encouragement of the police agreed to actually looked, and would you believe it, she actually found the items she claimed I had previously claimed. They are not the only game in town, think carefully about trusting them with your stuff read more

Well, the rest of my pants I had done at "Best" Tailors have fallen apart. I'm tired of bringing them back so I sucked it up and went to pay another tailor. This is a local establishment that is taking an important role in the fight against environmental contamination in the area, a concern which is of some significance in a community like Merrimack, dealing with groundwater contamination issued with halogenated chemicals (PFOA). This establishment uses Organic Wet Cleaning as an alternative to Dry Cleaning; this means that your clothes are being cleaned without involving Perchloroethylene, which is, by the way, a strongly suspect carcinogen. I have had multiple interactions with the staff, and have always been satisfied with their service. They are competent and knowledgeable. I've had hems tailored, and have been satisfied with their work. I have also been strongly satisfied with clothes cleaned at this establishment. It is noted that Best Cleaners and Tailors is not the cheapest provider of cleaning services in the area; however, for the reasons listed above, I believe that they are consciously making the right choice in a dirty industry. I brought in a large order, which cost me nearly double what it would have where I previously lived. I decided to give them a chance anyways. Four days later when I went to pick up my items I was pleased with the way my wool coat was cleaned. However, the next day I went to put on the work plants I had hemmed and they were not hemmed at all. I returned that day and they agreed to re-do my pants by the following day. When I went to pick up my pants they were nowhere to be found. Eventually my pants were found but it ended up being nearly 12 days since I first brought my pants in and I received no discount or even an apology. I foolishly decided to give this place a second chance to have a dress hemmed but they simply could not have a simple hem sewn up by the following day. Do NOT go here. There are other much more accommodating places to get your clothes cleaned where they won't be lost. read more

as a former employee I know Amy k is an owner of best cleaners,kd cleaners and Paul's cleaners. in the few months I was employed they lost clothes and then lo and behold they found them. frequently clothes not ready when promised and would say they had a spot that needed to be treated. does not treat employees with respect. read more
