If I could give ZERO or negative stars, I would. My teenage daughter recently took a pair of white jeans in to have the waist altered and the length taken up. She went in with her older sister, tried on the jeans, and the tailor pinned the alterations. She was then quoted $95 for the alterations - more than she paid for the jeans themselves. Her older sister negotiated the price down to $85. During the back-and-forth over the price, ink got on three separate places on my daughter's white jeans. He acknowledged what happened, apologized, and assured her that he would make sure the stains were removed. When she went to pick up the jeans, the ink stains were still there. She called me, and I spoke with him on speakerphone. Instead of taking responsibility for the stains still on the jeans, he became angry and yelled at my teenage daughter, telling her she had complained about the price of the alterations and was now complaining about the stains. Yes...she complained about the price (as she should have). And yes...she has every right to complain about three ink stains that were put on her white jeans while they were in his care and that he specifically promised to remove. Those are two completely separate issues. He ultimately gave the jeans to his wife to try to remove the stains, but unfortunately they were still there when my daughter got them back. I am now hoping I can somehow get the ink out myself. What makes this especially disappointing is that we have been loyal customers for more than a decade and have personally sent numerous new customers his way over the years. We have always supported his business and trusted him with our clothing. I understand that mistakes happen. What is unacceptable is how the mistake was handled - especially yelling at a teenage customer (or any customer, for that matter!) instead of simply acknowledging the problem and making it right. After more than 10 years as a customer, this experience has completely changed my opinion of this business. We will not be returning, and we will certainly no longer be recommending him to others.
