My wife and I both had the best massages in years at Best Estie. Some massage places just have people who have a massage "routine" and don't respond well to individual needs. And then there are therapists like the ones we had at Best Estie who really know their craft. I had Michelle. She did a great job reading my body, finding the stress & tension points and working them out with some great techniques. Afterwards, I had the best nap I've had in years. I waited a while to write this review, but I think it's time. It started off with a great first experience, And i signed up for a membership. but last week it was so bad my chill, easy going husband WALKED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS MASSAGE. The customer service and quality of massages has steadily decreased, but this was the final straw. i scheduled a massage for my husband for Father's Day--yay, nice relaxing afternoon for an awesome dad. He literally WALKED OUT in the middle of the massage. My husband is a very, very chill guy, and a business owner, and definitely the opposite of high maintenance. Trust me when i say it had to be incredibly uncomfortable for him to do this. He said the environment was unfriendly to begin with, but the main issue he had was the therapist helping him was obviously Not well. She clearly had a cold--stuffed up nose/runny nose and sniffling the entire time, coughing and sneezing. Not wanting to cause a scene, he tried to wait it out. She was quite confused about what he asked for, was clearly inexperienced, and had him rollover, realized she made a mistake, and then roll back over, among other things. He said the final straw was when she had to excuse herself to use the restroom (which happened to be right next to him) and she spent about 10 minutes in it, he could hear the toilet paper rolling out, etc. at that point he decided he had enough, got dressed and walked out. Listen, when you gotta go, you gotta go, and that's a bummer. But the clear lack of training and the coughing and runny nose are not excusable; especially when you are so close to someone else In a small space. The deal sealer for me--and reason for finally writing a one star review, was the absolutely horrible communication we received from management. After this experience we were clearly not going to return. I emailed them and let them know I was canceling my service and needed to speak with an owner. I have quite a bit of credits saved and also asked for a partial refund. They informed me they would give me one massage credit for the horrible massage, and I could cancel but they would still be billing me for one final month. Umm-what?! I understand not refunding me, fine (can't blame a girl for trying), but zero apologies for the terrible service, no questions about it, nothing. I emailed back and got them to agree not to charge the final month and they said we had 60 days to use all of our credits. Hrmmm..that feels quite awkward. The most frustrating part- they DIDN'T EVEN ASK WHAT HAPPENED. Zero interest, whatsoever, and when the manager or whoever emailed me finally said "they were sorry to hear what happened," I asked them what exactly they heard happened, and received zero response. They are scamming people through Groupon! They list the full price as one thing on Groupon (not including tip.) when you go you can choose the base service or have add ons. I choose a couple add ons thinking I was helping them out for creating such a low price on the base fee. Nope! They charged a base fee on top of what Groupon charged for the massage. The massage itself was very low quality and brief which didn't go for the full time that it was supposed to. The front office is rude and condescending once you sign their waiver they refuse to talk and explain the price. They make it very clear they just want your money and don't respect you or care to even have a descent interaction with their customers who are paying a lot by the way. I've been to many massage places and I'll tell you, you'd have better service and a better massage going to the mall. I had my doubts about this place, because even though they have great Yelp reviews, they seemed to have way too much availability on Valentine's weekend. However, since they were about the only spa that had availability for a couples massage on February 15th, I decided to give them a try. I called them before buying a Groupon to verify I could use it and I was informed that they are not accepting Groupon reservations for a few months! But I was assured that I would be given a good deal as a first time client. Upon arrival, I was still in doubt, because the "shopping center" that it is located in, is in dire need of renovations. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the interior and even more at the level of service and amenities. We were treated amazingly well and we had awesome massages by Javonni and Alayna. Alayna is so knowledgeable and thorough. She gave me great advice as to how to alleviate some of my ailments. She instructed me on free and easy things to do to improve my joints. I love that this place doesn't try hard to up sell you and they offer you free mints, cookies, tea and water. Wonderful spa that is absolutely worth checking out. read more

Received a couples massage as a gift from a family member that they bought from Groupon. The day of I woke up really sick and so we needed to reschedule and they said that we lost our appointment and are unable to reschedule as we needed to do a 24 hour notice. BEWARE STAY AWAY!!!!!! My friend and I visited the spa just recently and for my dermaplane, the aesthetician missed multiple parts on my face, worse job I've ever seen. She then put an exfoliant scrub right after that burned my skin immediately. A dermaplane is an exfoliant so another exfoliant shouldn't be added on. And I scheduled my friend for a deep tissue. She kept asking the girl for firmer pressure but the girl wouldn't listen and proceeded with a Swedish massage. I called the spa later after I left when I realized they missed so many spots on my face and my friend's massage experience. They gave me the business owner's number and I called a few times and left voicemails. I called Michael at the front desk as well and he said he'd call her to ask her to call me. I waited a few days and nothing so I wrote this review. EDIT: Spoke with Michael this morning 8/26/21 and he said the business owner will not be calling back because I left a bad review. I said I left a bad review after I left multiple voicemails and no one called me back. I then said I was looking for a resolution and I would be happy remove the review once we did this but he said they won't be doing anything. Now I'll have my friend write a review who came with me as well as report the spa to the BBB. I told Michael how the dermaplane was only done on parts of my face and asked how they were going to rectify it when I spent close to $100 for it (what was I thinking). He then fumbled on his words. Best Estie does not put their customers first nor do they care about giving them excellent customer service and an enjoyable experience. You can find more affordable places that are a much more pleasant and aren't a scam. The owner will comment that they're always looking to improve. Yikes ! Bought a Groupon for a massage for Mother's Day. I went to book and called the location and talked with a very unpleasant employee on October 30. she informed me that although my Groupon didn't specify that through Groupon you have to book 30 days in advance for this massage and it only includes Monday through Thursday no weekends even though that wasn't specified in the Groupon and was my main reasoning for purchasing since it had Sunday availability with my limited schedule she informed me that she was not able to bend the rules and she doesn't" use Groupon so she doesn't know what the Groupon entails." I asked if I could talk to someone who does know the details of the offer that her work is providing she said she would text me the address and hung up on me. I made the mistake of purchasing a Groupon without reading reviews first. I called to schedule and appointment, was told they schedule these out 30 days and needed a credit card on file to book me. I explained to the receptionist that I would be traveling for the entire month and my Groupon would expire. The lady assured me it wouldn't be a problem and to call back when I was back in town. I tried scheduling this morning with no problem, received text confirmation. Approximately an hour later I received a cancelation because the Groupon is expired. I explained to the receptionist what the first person told me and she said I had the option to keep the appointment and pay full price for the service. This business is scamming people out of money. I love coming to Best Estie! I have had a membership for several years and it is entirely worth it. I have been to many of the massage therapists, and they are all very skilled and thorough. Each one has their own techniques and strengths and weaknesses, but overall, a great place to have a massage. Lately, I have been seeing Tai, and she has been amazing. She really listens to you to help alleviate any issues you may have, and she is so personable--I just love her! I went in last week and have been having problems with my right hip when I wake up--stiffness, pain--being old pains, the usual. She WORKED that hip, and I walked out of there with zero discomfort and haven't had an issue with it in the four days since I went in! Found a group on code for couple spa, and we scheduled an appointment. We had 50 mins of signature massages we topped it up with aromatherapy as well. I opted for deep pressure, and they first started normal and then started increasing the pressure. I had scar tissue on my right shoulder and it was worked upon pretty well. Very professional and kept the mood light for both of us. As it was a couple massage both were next to each other and my wife was totally enjoying when my stiff muscles were worked upon as I could do anything but oouch in pain. For aromatherapy the oil I picked was eucalyptus and orange and it was nice and refreshing. Newbies here. My husband & I chose this place because they have 4 Stars. First of all, we arrived 15 mins early to fill out the paperwork. Then after 20 minutes I finally got called in for my prenatal massage. I've been looking forward to this massage all day. The masseuse massaging me was very nice & a little too talkative through out my session. I had circled on my paperwork that I wanted my lower back, spin, shoulders hips massaged. I didn't get enough attention to my lower back & had mentioned it at the end of my massage. She then massaged me for another minute. After I got dressed, I looked at watch & was cheated out of of the 20 minutes from the beginning. Just because they were running behind shouldn't take away from my massage time. I was very disappointed. With that being said, I still left a tip. However, I will not being going back unfortunately. My husband's review: He said his massage was "blah". He marked deep pressure & received medium. He said she did have a few great techniques, but it didn't last & the pressure was a big thing. It was so gentle he almost fell a sleep. I bought my wife a $500.00 Gift Card as B-Day gift because she had gone to this Day Spa one prior time and was Happy with her first visit. She went to make an appointment and the male employee wanted her to give them a credit card for the appointment. My wife told him she had a $500.00 gift card and she was not going to give him a credit card for an appointment. He stated to my wife that was their policy to make an appointment. (That was NEVER disclosed to me while I stood in the business to buy the gift card) If that policy would have been disclosed I would have turned around and exited the business immediately. This business obviously has no clue about why people give gifts cards to other people for their use....well Best Estie Day Spa let me clue you in...it is so the person using the gift card does not have to use their own money or credit cards! The male she spoke with on the phone was rude and unprofessional. When my wife told him that she would have me return the gift card he replied "well you can try." That same day I went to the business to return the gift card and get my $500.00 back. There was a young lady at the front counter. I explained to her the situation and she said she understood but she would have to contact the owner to process the refund. I gave her my credit card info so she could get the owner to process the refund. I left the $500.00 gift card with the employee and took a photo of the gift card number on their countertop. I left the business believing the employee was going to call the owner and have her process the refund because that is what I was told was going to happen. I was also told I would get an email confirming the refund was processed. Neither ever happened! 3 days later, Alyscia and my wife had a conversation. My wife said it was a pleasant and productive conversation. My wife explained the incident and stated we just wanted our $500.00 refund. After the phone call my wife was under the impression that Alyscia was going to process our refund. 7 days later my card has not been credited. Day 7, I left the owner a voice mail, she called me back and proceeded to contradict what my wife told me their conversation had consisted of 5 days earlier. While I tried to explain to Alyscia that I wanted my card refunded she became argumentative and rude. At one point she decided to tell me that me and my wife were not on the same page. During the call she told me I could dispute the charge with my credit card company. She was not interested in engaging in a conversation about facts and what I had been told 7 days earlier by one of her employees. Alyscia said she would look into it and refund my card just before she hung up on me and told me to have a nice day. I was not done with the conversation but she definitely was. I will be telling everyone I know about how Best Estie Day Spa operates. I'd give it Zero Stars but you have to select at least one. Check out the BBB on this business, they have a "F" rating because they have never responded to any complaints. Look at the other lower ratings given on Yelp...the owner leaves the exact same "cookie cutter" response, which indicates she is uninterested in addressing customer issues in any real manner. read more

Almost the entire staff was not wearing masks. My masseuse was wearing a mask but removed it during my massage. The woman at the front desk wasn't wearing a mask for our entire interaction. My boyfriend's masseuse wasn't wearing a mask. Hard to believe they are operating this way with a business where they are interacting so closely with clients. I signed up for monthly massages for $70 a month and was unable to use them for a eight month period due to a car accident so after I was able to use my membership that i already paid for in full Best Estie took all my money a total of $560 and told me that they cannot honor those 8 sessions because my membership was canceled after being a paid customer of theres for over a year and half . My friend and I came for her birthday in early December to celebrate her birthday, and we had a great time! When we walked in, front desk was attentive but they didn't have a mask on. It personally doesn't bother me, but as soon as we walked in and started speaking with them, they had put their masks on. We got settled and were taken back separately. We both had a facial and a massage, and I can only speak for my own experience. I felt very uncomfortable during my facial because the sheet for my top kept moving down and when I was holding it it felt like my facial person was moving it down. I understand not getting product on the sheets, but they should be washed between clients in general. The massage I received I absolutely loved my masseuse, she was aware of my pain and helped me walk away pain free, I believe her name was Camille, I recommend her for massages! My second experience here was with my husband a few weeks ago. We both received a massage and my experience was much better. My masseuse was Amber this time and she too was great. We connected and I felt like she helped the pain I have with my pinched nerves. I would recommend massages over facials, but that is my personal opinion! The waiting room is very dark, to set the relaxation mood, but you get used to it. Plus, they provide snacks and tea! read more

The quality of service has decreased substantially since I first started going (when they first opened). They recently told me that I had two credits to cover two services that I received so I was told that I would only be billed for add on services and the tip. They told me the amount, I agreed and then I left. The next day I noticed that they charged my debit card twice for two different amounts that were much larger then they told me. I called in to find out what happened and they told me that I did not have credits to cover the services after all. That is not the first time that they charged my card without my authorization. I explained that if there was a mistake, no problem. But they need to call me and discuss this with me. It is illegal to just charge my card whenever they want without talking to me about it. I emailed the owner and never even received a response. Shady business practices, beware. read more

Shady!!!! Do not do business with them. It all started with a Groupon my boyfriend bought. We were running a few minutes late ( called and told them) and the receptionist said no problem. We got there 4 mins late and weren't taken back into our appointment until 20 minutes in due to the other appointment running longer than expected. We were given the option to add on other types of massages and I added on a couple of more. Anyways we are finally in the room getting massages and 20 minutes into the massage we get told all done. Me and my boyfriend were surprised since it wasn't the hour he had gotten the Groupon for, we went and complained to the receptionist but was told to call the owner. We called the owner many times and never heard back. I disputed the add on I had paid for (not my boyfriend, he paid for the basic massages only through Groupon) and was able to get a refund from my credit card company. Two weeks pass by and my boyfriend sees a charged for 100 dollars on his account from Etsie. He's surprised since he hasn't gone there since we last went. The amount I had disputed with my credit card company was 80 dollars. They had charged him 80 plus a 20 dollar fee for the inconvenience according to the receptionist. So they went in took my boyfriends credit card information and charged it because I disputed the charges after the owner would not return our calls. Dealing with the receptionist who I presume is the owner is ridiculous. They offer services on Groupon and have added restrictions, not listed on Groupon. Just some restrictions they decide to add that also do not correspond with their policies listed on their actual website. Apparently services are different if you use a Groupon! I couldn't take my 14 year old daughter to use this Groupon with because she is a minor; however their website says I can sign a waiver. Since it's a Groupon, all of a sudden it's a liability, hence signing the waiver idiots! Be aware of the restrictions, one month booking advance, no weekend booking and no minors. I have read several reviews that they cancel without notice and will cancel if they need to put in a member to fill that spot. Unprofessional and disappointing.. do not waste your time! Horrible customer service!!! I scheduled a couples massage , which I purchased on Groupon approximately 2 month ago. I called the spa and finally got in touch with someone who advised me that I could not get an appointment until a month later which was scheduled for June 2nd,2024 at 1pm. Due a conflict of schedule I called and again had to leave a message that I needed to reschedule. When I made the appointment for my husband and myself I advised it was purchased on groupon,. I was asked for my groupon information, and contact information nothing more. I waited two days for a response, but when I did not receive one I called back. I surprisingly got someone and explained I never received a call back to reschedule. I was then told (without this person even asking any of my information that I didn't get a call back regarding the reschedule because my reservation had been deleted, because there was no credit card put on file. I then asked why no one called to ask for a card to be put on file but instead just deleted my reservation. She had no answer, only kept asking for a credit card insistentantly when one wasn't asked for when the reservation was made I am assuming due to it being through a groupon voucher (so why would a credit card be needed at all?). When I again asked why I was not contacted she hung up on me. I called back twice only to go straight to voicemail. I then called from another number and to my surprise she answered. I immediately asked for a manager, to which she responded I could only speak with a manager via email. This definitely raises red flags of possible fraud. I will be reporting this to not only Groupon as well as writing this negative review, because if this is how you treat new customers I definitely would not patronize your company. Good customer service is very necessary, and it is ok for someone to not have answers I understand , but rudely hanging up the phone and then not answering a business line is inexcusable. read more

And reason I canceled my membership is that all of the good massage therapists leave- and as of recent, the massage therapist we request gets changed- to one's we specifically didn't want based on previous massages. its Not a horrible place, but your experience will depend on the therapist. read more
