The bike he wanted was not assembled completely or properly. The original sales person said he wanted another associate, Donovan, to check the bike and make any necessary adjustments. Donovan did a complete inspection of the bike, finding several missteps by the person who had originally assembled the bike. However Donovan remained pleasant and informative and did not criticize the other staff member. He checked every feature on the bike and fixed any deficiencies. Note if the Dick's employees have a yellow badge, they have only been there less than 3 months. Almost all other employees have only been there less than a year. As big as Dick's sporting goods is they only represent 14 percent of total sports equipment sales. That is because there are much better choices.

Recently I went in looking for a shoe, no one approached me to help, the effort was minimal and there was a suggestion to purchase it online on their site. The thing is, if I wanted to purchase online I wouldn't have bothered driving 30miles watch way to get to the warehouse. The other thing is, that they did have a newer version of the shoe and a different employee had to step in to put two and two together to pull a pair out of the back. Quality of service has definitely declined, pretty disappointing. I of course ended up purchasing shoes online from the actual manufacturer instead.

I contacted customer service hoping to exchange it for the exact same racquet in the correct grip size. I was told that I would first have to send the racquet back, they would inspect it, and then reimburse me only a percentage of the purchase price. The representative told me that this is usually around 65%. I have to say, I'm disappointed by that policy. Getting the correct grip size is absolutely fundamental when buying a tennis racquet, and this wasn't a case of wanting a different model or simply changing my mind. I wanted the same racquet, just with the right grip size, after using it only once. For a $249 purchase, I really wish there had been a little more commercial flexibility and a more customer-friendly approach. Amazon has obviously set a very high benchmark when it comes to exchanges and returns, and experiences like this inevitably make customers compare. Other than this issue, I have no complaints. I like the racquet and simply wanted to exchange it for the size that actually works for me. I hope the company might reconsider how it handles situations like this.
