Alex promised me a 5 year warranty. I had some issues with the door at year 2 and have been getting the runaround from them for a week now. First they promised to call me the next day, then they promised to call me later in the day, then alex was in a meeting, then they just stopped responding. I called about a broken window replacement, and Christina the receptionist listened to my description of the broken window, and then let me know that "IG window replacement" (in-place glass?) was the term I should be looking for. That would save me money, since replacing the entire window would be thousands, versus hundreds for just the glass. Our first experience with Best Exteriors Construction was through Daniel , their sales representative. He came out several times and listened to our concerns and answered all of our questions. He created a plan and quote that was by far better than any other vendor we had previously discussed our project with. We replaced 30 windows and seven sliding glass doors. The construction crew arrived on time the date they were scheduled to start, and diligently, expertly, and professionally replaced all windows and doors within the week and one day originally anticipated. They replaced 13 windows in our home. We wanted new construction install over retrofit and were very pleased with their work. My husband is nit picky and was impressed with the quality of materials they used as well as how they installed the windows. We'd hire them again for sure! Alex the salesman and Alex the foreman were both great to work with. They are from Ukrainian but speak great English, but the rest of the workers speak only Russian so I didn't interact with them much, but but they were efficient and respectful of our home. I'm updating my review to 3 stars after Best Exteriors finally contacted me, scheduled, and inspected the failures. They assured me that the gaps along the edge will not allow water intrusion as the windows have sealant behind the flat part of the flange as the true sealing surface (between the flange and the stucco wall). So water (in their explanation) will only seep in so far as the sealing exists behind the flange (that's the large white vinyl edge of the window). This makes sense, but it sure took them a very long time to explain it (half a year). I still caulked the very edge myself with some lifetime warranty 100% silicone caulking myself on after the inside was allowed to dry a few days in the heat. read more

Too bad I cannot give them zero stars. TERRIBLE service and TERRIBLE work! They installed windows and a sliding glass door in my home. Three complaints: 1) During the installation, they accidentally broke my neighbor's window thinking it was one of my windows that was going to be replaced. 2) Even after they finished, they did not even do a decent job of cleaning up the mess they made. I found lots of small broken bits of glass in my children's room and our office. 3) I'm ok overlooking the mess and breaking my neighbor's window since they at least fixed my neighbor's window, but the worst problem is that my windows are LEAKY! The leak in one of the windows has caused extensive damage to my walls during the rainy season. And the poor installation also led of the siding coming off which lets in cold drafts. One of the primary reasons I had these double paned windows installed is to keep the house warmer! I informed them that one window was leaky and someone came out to "fix" it (I think all they did was put some caulk type thing on it). Apparently that was not a permanent solution - see my photos. Before the recent rains started, I made repeated calls to the office and only received one call back. The office asked for me to email them photos, which I did and then I never heard back. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES, YOU WILL SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HEADACHE. read more

Initially reached out for a quote for a couple windows and a slider. I was contacted very quickly and gave measurements over the phone and had a general quote within a few hours. Eventually project scale grew and it was handled flawlessly and very quickly. Decided to have all the windows in my house replaced and no one could touch best exteriors quote. Especially considering the high quality of the anlin windows and the double lifetime warranty. Install day was quite smooth. Guys worked late to wrap up in one day even with my curveball change order that they weren't expecting. We just had 45 windows and 2 patio doors installed by Alex and Tim from Best Exteriors. We are thrilled with the professionalism, quality of install and the products. Daniel was my salesman and main POC. He stood by his words and delivered. Attaching some before and after pics. Daniel even showed up unannounced to check on the work. Alex and Tim drove every day from Sacramento to our house in Fremont. They showed up on time and got the job done on time. Also, Daniel did not take a single penny from us until AFTER the work was completed. Overall fast, efficient , and good workmanship! Alex and his 2 man crew where on time and professional. They installed 3 living room windows into my existing stucco/aluminum frames in less then 2 hours (pretty fast) however although I appreciate the efficiency I would had like them to use a little more caution as I noticed there were some slight damages on my wood, brand new driveway (cement chips and excess caulking which left stains) u can see photos attached. Maybe after reading this they may take some accountability and I can change my rating from 3 stars. I couldn't be happier with the 8 windows, 1 garden window and 1 sliding glass door installed in one day by Best Exteriors. Instead of coming back the next day for an hour or so of work, they asked if it was OK to stay and finish. No mess left behind. They pointed out a small almost unnoticeable scratch in one of the windows. They said they would contact Anlin, who called back within two days to inform us they would send someone to fix. In my opinion, Best Exteriors did a phenomenal job and Anlin windows/door are holding up well since like 6 months now. Our's was comparatively a small project with 5 windows and a patio door upgrade. It was a retrofit project due to HOA requirements. The quote from Alex was the best and I am pretty satisfied with the job done. The team finished the project in about half a day and made sure to clean up after the work. Moreover, due to the nature of our window placement near faucet we discovered caulking was coming of on one side. I reached out to Alex and he made sure to fix it in about a week or so. We needed new windows in our condo. My grandma had multiple quotes for several other companies and she chose Best Exteriors Construction Inc. Daniel, the sales person, was very kind friendly and professional and guaranteed an excellent job. They did not disappoint! Alexander the lead installer came with his crew and they installed 2 patio doors with screen doors, 4 large bedroom windows and a kitchen window all within 7 hours! They worked seamlessly and did a fantastic job! We no longer have condensation, drafts, excessive noise and our windows have a better safety system. We had a bad experience with a different window company, ultimately losing a considerable investment. It put us off for a year before deciding to research again. Living in a home built in 1926 with the original windows (94 year windows!!!) we couldn't go another winter with the old windows nor another summer with screen-less windows. Wanting to keep the character of our older home, we were unsure about vinyl windows changing the look. After comparing the various big, brand name window products (fiberglass, wood/aluminum clad, etc) with Anlin Windows, we decided that their product was superior for a very good price. Why we chose Anlin Windows & Best Exteriors (BE) to install them: 1) Durable, well, built & reliable product (built in California!) with a double lifetime product warranty transferable and to the next owner if we sell the house. 2) BE's 10 year install warranty 3) We felt more comfortable with BE's payment structure. Our salesperson, Daniel, knew the product, answered all our questions and reassured us with all our concerns. He was readily available and guided us through the process. He was easy to talk to and if we had any hesitation, he offered solutions that would allay my fears. Alex came by a few days later to take the measurements - which we feel is VERY important - & got all the specs for 16 windows. He also was knowledgeable about the product and answered more questions we had along the way. After waiting about 6 weeks for the windows to be built, Alex#2 (a different Alex) and his crew showed up with the windows. The Trio showed up on time and worked VERY diligently & efficiently to properly install all 16 windows. They covered furniture, cleaned up along the way and were very conscientious about doing the job right. Having an old house we were realistic about possibly having problems during install, openings not being square, etc. -- but seeing Alex and his crew's work ethic we knew they could handle it. These guys are tremendously good at what they do. Sure, we will have to touch up with paint and spot patch a few areas but we expected that, very minor compared to the amount of work they did. From the exterior, the windows look great and make the house look complete. So far with the new windows, we use the heater less and the house retains its warmth longer. If I could give two separate reviews. I would give Daniel one star for being the stereotypical car salesman. He's WAY too nice. We signed the contract bc the price was right and our neighbor endorsed A&A. Not a word from Daniel about delivery or installation until we called him. I asked him who was in charge, he incorrectly told us that he was in charge. Daniel actually yelled at me when I complained that nobody called to tell us that our windows weren't going to be installed on the promised date. Alex should replace him with somebody more competent. When the windows were installed, Alex and Alex were everything a client could hope for. Professional, expert, efficient and courteous. Signed contract then came back asking for $2000 additional on contract price of $9982, a 20% hike after just a week into it, or that we could cancel the contract (which they would very much like to do as market is hot and they want to cherrypick the best jobs). They came back saying oh the $9982 was based on lamination of 2 instead of all 11 windows. Well, there's no point in the course of our communication I had ever mentioned anything that I'd like to only do lamination for a subset of them. See the contract for yourself! While the installation of the windows was done properly, I have spent the four months since installation nagging my salesperson for a single replacement screen that did not fit the window that was installed. They sent out a second screen about two months after install and that didn't fit either. My communications now seem to be being ignored, and since I paid them in full, I now have limited options with which to solicit a response. I was expecting a quick resolution, by way of delivery of a fitting screen, but it turns out I should have withheld payment until receiving it. Unfortunate end to an otherwise decent experience. Update: screen received a couple weeks after writing this review, changed to 3 stars - screen pins did not fit into their holes in the window frame, but at least the screen was the proper size. read more

I don't write reviews that often but in this case, I have so much to share about this wonderful company! We just had all of our windows (18 of them) and two sliding doors replaced by Best Exteriors. Wow! I am so impressed and didn't realize how really bad my old windows were until I got the new ones installed. The window brand is "Anlin" and it truly is a top-notch, quality product. I am hardly running my air conditioner now that the new windows are installed, and they are so very quiet. I can't even hear the annoying dog bark next-door anymore. Also these windows are beautiful. It totally changed the look of my whole house and was a well worth investment. I also want to give a shout out to Gary Chern, the rep I worked with! He was so amazing from the start of the project through completion! Even after completion, he came out to ensure everything was just perfect for me. He made extra trips to my house when I had questions. For example, when I was ordering the windows, I asked what options were available for the sliding glass door handles. He came to my house to show me the handles in person rather than showing me via some picture. I was also trying to visualize what the window frame would look like. He made a trip to my house to show me the various frames I could choose from. I very much appreciated the extra mile Gary always went to ensure I was best informed. His patience and knowledge was exceptional. He guided me through the entire process and was very responsive when I had questions. Oh, and no pressure! Gary was truly a pleasure to work with. Thank you Gary! You are the best! Lastly, I wanna say a little bit about the installation crew. They got the entire job done in two days. They worked so hard, they hardly took breaks, and had a quick 15 minute lunch and we're back at it. There was no damage whatsoever to my house during installation and they cleaned up everything perfectly once completed. We often don't recognize the installation crew, but they were key and ensuring my windows were properly installed. Without good installation, my windows would've never looked as perfect as they look now. I could not find one little thing to point out to them that needed cleanup or correction. The Anlin Del Mar windows arrived and in 2 days they were done, and the windows do everything they claimed they do. I was concerned about the heat waive, but the air didn't even turned on. They maintained the temperature at around 68 to 70 all day. We had put a new roof thinking that was the problem boy were we wrong. The best part is that they are made here in California.
