Unfortunately, Casey did not stand behind his work and has not responded to any of our requests to come check out why the vinyl flooring is coming up in several places. Shortly after installation, we questioned some areas of concern and he said he would come check it out "this week". Never heard from him. About a year later, the floor was coming up in one area and he ignored our texts. Now it is coming apart in three areas and when I spoke to him, he said that he had a lot of issues with this specific vinyl flooring and knew what was happening. He said that the flooring was not under any type of warranty. He said, "I'll come out by the end of the week and see what I can do." That was well over a month ago and we never heard from him. The floor was installed late 2021 and now it's only February of 2024 and we must get all new flooring installed. Hopefully, we will find a more reputable and qualified company. If you read the other 1 star comments, you will see consistency with Casey ghosting his customers or not standing behind his work when there's an issue. He was very professional and patient with me as I had so many questions and concerns. The whole crew that worked on my house were so polite, kind, patient, respectful of our time and property. This review is way overdo. I decided to choose this company because Casey seemed very professional at first And promised that I would be happy, but so many problems arose afterwards. Less than a year into our floors, we realized many problems. We chose Coretec, because Casey said they make the best. They are more expensive than real wood. But I wish I went with real wood rather than floating floors.That poor decision on choosing Laminate vs real wood was persuaded from Casey, but I did make the final choice, so it's also my fault.. BUT, I trusted him. I realized, Laminate is way easier to install and the same cost as real wood. But the main issue is his promise to do the best he could. the stairs alone cost more than $300 per step and he mentioned it was tedious, each stair is different size, measurements are really crucial....takes a very long time..that it would take at least a week for just the stairs alone(took only 1 day with 17 steps) Well after the work was done, everyday, I go up and down the stairs, i hear a crackling noise..didn't really understand so we looked into it and apparently, the stairs were installed with many shortcuts. First the glue should be spread throughout the bull-nose end but instead, only dollops of glue were used, therefore, whenever we go up and down the stairs, it sounded like a crackling noise because the glue dried and when your stepping on a side where there is no glue, it's unevenness creates a crackling noise because it's made out of plastic. Secondly, they should have also put small nails on each step for safety issues. Well, my son, one day was playing and a little piece of toy got pushed under the edge piece, and it LITERALLY lifted the whole piece of the corner so easily...He's 7 yrs old. Our experience with Casey with this job left us extremely unsatisfied, so we decided to just live with it. Well, fast forward a year later, we had some framing issues with our stairs and some of the planks had to be torn out. To get this repaired my husband called Casey and asked him to come over and look what it would cost to repair the stairs where the planks were removed and to fix the rest of the lose parts of the stairs. He came and looked at the stairs agreed on fixing them. Anyhow, my husband called him many times afterwards to schedule a time to fix the stairs. Left multiple messages, but there was NO reply. Whatever happened to warranty? Or admitting to his mistakes or customer satisfaction or even an apology. So, we had to eventually call other vendors to get it done. Many vendors declined because they said that the installer should fix it. I completely agree, but Casey handled this situation very unprofessional and STILL hasn't gotten back to us. In conclusion, I truly wanted to warn future clients about the customer satisfaction and the warranty is NOT executed. We had 1700 sq ft installed in our home and we feel pockets in some areas because they didn't level the ground. Waste of time, Waste of money, and ridiculously amount of stress that didn't have to occur. read more

4.5 Stars out if 5.0 Stars. They installed carpet to my 2nd story furnished home. PROS: Casey, the owner was very responsive, and provided a great price beating nearly all competition in final prices. Due to Casey's fast responses via telephone, prompt service, friendly customer service, and best of all his low price, I used Casey for my carpet installation. His installation crew was prompt, on time, and polite. They took good care in the dismanteling of my furniture. CONS: My only recommendation I have (minus 1 stars) is the crew attempting to do a little better on not damaging floorboards and do a better job fixing their mistakes. They left some scrapes and chips on my floorboards on the installation of the carpet, and separation on some floorboard corners. Then when re-caulking some corners, the job was done very poorly, I had to sand them down and re-caulk three corners, and spend two hours repainting and repairing the scratched floorboards. The floorboards being a little damaged is understandable, however a little better care should have been taken on repairing their damage versus the homeowner fixing the repairs (in my opinion). Would I use Casey again . . . . 100% yes. read more

Casey's professional etiquette is also something else to mention. Calls prior to arrival, night before confirmation text, stopping by when the crew was working. I lost my wedding ring during all the commotion and thought it had rolled off furniture to be rolled and and thrown away with the carpet. Called Casey and his guys checked the van and even called the dump. There was no way it was stolen. His crew was hard working and very respectful of our property. My experience with Best Flooring SCV has been a huge headache and not worth the hassle. I work a lot and don't have a lot of time to meet with contractors so I left it up to my wife to choose who we should go with to do the floors. In the beginning he had a good relationship and seemed to work professionally. But as the project progressed he left my wife feeling unsafe and I had to step in to manage the flooring because it caused her great stress. This made me upset on 2 counts, first, he makes her feel unsafe and second, I had to take time off of work to deal with the flooring. Even when doing the flooring I was nickel and dimed the whole way. I found a creaky low spot and when I asked about it, they said the base floor sometimes isn't level. Isn't the flooring company supposed to make sure the floor is level and prep everything to install the floor properly and levelled? Instead, I felt they just completed the install and hoped I wouldn't find it. When I did, I had to pay extra out of pocket to get it fixed. This happened on several occasions. I paid for a job to be done and I feel that it should have been correctly the first time. Furthermore, if a deal has been made, you should not make the customer feel guilty by constantly telling me that you are making no money and then when I ask for a breakdown never given one. In the end, I only felt compelled to write this review to give people fair warning because of all the extra hassle Best Flooring SCV has caused me and is still causing me. When you decide on a flooring contractor, be sure you can work with them in a year, 5 or 10 years down the line because our floor is supposed to have a LIFETIME guarantee and trying to get a different flooring company to work on what is already existing in your home is extremely difficult.
